361  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trouble withdrawing from Kucoin? on: January 21, 2024, 04:41:42 PM
They initially asked me to pay 65k tax which I did.
Reading this, you've already got scammed.

Known exchanges like Kucoin won't ask you for this type of taxing. If you've got money there, they'll allow you to withdraw it unless the only condition that you might encounter is about verifying your account and identity through KYC and not with asking you to pay some sort of tax.

The message reads:
"Prepare the specified verification funds in TRUST WALLET, take a screenshot when ready and contact us, please make sure to confirm the funds as ERC20 USDT. we will confirm the balance on the blockchain. Once confirmed, the risk control will be lifted within 30 minutes

Designated funds. 130,000 USDT"

"Please note: There is no need to deposit funds to KuCoin during the whole process, please complete the verification within 20 days. Thank you."

Thanks all!
My heart aches while reading this if you really paid 65k for what they've asked you.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best way make your Bitcoin anonymous right now? "Mixers"? on: January 20, 2024, 10:48:54 PM
Mixers don't work anymore, stay away from them.
Most likely because the forum has banned them? I am assuming that you've said that they don't work anymore because of the recent ban that has been implemented about them here.

I'd agree that one way is to convert your BTC into Monero and going on with coinjoin.

@OP, https://kycnot.me/ might help you.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 20, 2024, 09:18:21 PM
Who is agreeing with me that Kuroky needs to retire? Just look, after rebuilding the roster of Nigma Galaxy and falling short to the qualifiers for the Dreamleague in Mena region. Ghost and RMN have departed ways with the team. I know that it's just like a part time contract for the two but Kuroky needs to give that spot of his to someone else who's better and has more quick and active reflexes.

Check the news:Nigma Galaxy Parts Ways With Ghost and rmN-

We're going to keep on seeing this news even if the team gets new players to fill the remaining spots if Kuroky is still part of it. He can move to coaching honestly. He's not the same as Puppey and ceb and he should check what n0tail did after failing with tournaments.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 20, 2024, 01:09:51 PM
I am still thinking and distracted on which kind of skill I should learn and upgrade. I like technology nowadays but it seems that there's a lot of competition there and it's going to stay for long.

But with the newer technologies that has only a low number of associates, I think that I'll dive there. So, I'm thinking of any upgrade with related to tech like in SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.

I dunno but I am just starting out and when I am distracted, maybe it's just like in the beginning and then it will make my interest gone too soon.
365  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Web3Poker.com] Softest cash games in cryptospace on: January 19, 2024, 05:43:08 PM
Thanks for the advice. As for KYC: i if you register with a wallet, it depends on whether you will fall into risk check categories or not.
What might be the reasons or factors for someone to fall for a risk check or compliance for KYC? Because that's how it goes nowadays with many casinos that they'd say that they are KYC free for now but eventually when some limits or factors have been hit, they'll suddenly ask for it.

Although it's not surprising but what could be the triggers that can be the case on your risk checking? If the answer is just going to be the same as the others like, you may ask that without any reasons.

It's hard to figure out what to do when a poker site or casino tells that they're good for kyc and won't have any problem with it but then hits with that compliance soon.

poker fraud mostly. unsusual winrate consistent with chipdumping or teamplay\card sharing. in most cases the poker fraud team just checks the hands played- and give a go for withdrawal, if all is ok- they dont ask any verification or docs.
Thanks.

Basically if the win rate of the player is inconsistent and it triggers some flag of yours and there's sort of team play, you'll be able to find it out. I've forgotten that this can be done and as an advantage to the players if they're on the same table and they know each other.

If we did not perform those checks or have an an antifraud system- it would be easy to launder money, or rip honest players off with bots or teamplay.
That's true, and also it will affect you as a platform when the players that have been ripped off sees you as a dishonest platform and also tolerating these cheaters.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 19, 2024, 01:50:00 PM
Sometimes I don't cash out and I end up losing like a fool because I was to damn greedy for a couple extra bucks that I didn't want to cash out. It happened to me so many times that I insta cash out as soon as I have a decent payout but there are some games where I really don't want to cash out no matter the outcome.
That what usually happens when we do not cash out but we should be able to do so. We are responsible for our decisions and actions like for continuation or when we are already done and had had enough.

It is also experienced by other gamblers and that is why we have the same thoughts about when we gamble and we think that there is no meed to withdraw and it should remain there.

But one time we will realize that we should stop, take the money and be happy with the amount we have won.

368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 09:42:20 PM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

Rehab seems to the the viable option for someone with such a compulsion to gamble which can attained from therapy sessions and which comes with a hefty price too, I advise you to talk to a counsellor who has expertise in these kinds of cases and let them take care your condition. Until that self exclude yourself from all the casinos you were playing which is cold turkey but the most effective in my opinion than going gradual decrease.
This is what I think also. It is what he needs at this time because no one's going to help him get out of it but only himself. But once he gets in to the rehabilitation either by home or by the center or clinic, he'll understand what he's going through right now.

He'll be able to get those sessions of healing and I think that it is going to help him a lot. I have not been into it but I have seen people that have been helped out by these therapy sessions when they can't take it anymore.

The condition that he's having right now is actually dangerous when he gets to think of ending his life, he needs to enter rehab or do something about it as soon as possible.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: January 18, 2024, 12:48:54 PM
According to Cryptocult, a Twitter account that has been focusing on Launchpool projects, Manta is likely to be worth $1.5 to $2.5 per coin, while an optimistic approach would be anywhere from $3 to $5.

Well, the two-day staking period won't yield much coins unless you have a large amount of BNB, so for the majority of us who don't, this Launchpool doesn't seem like a big deal.
I have received mine but it is not that much and I can't wait for it to reach those prices. So, I just treated it as the typical airdrop and that's a nice $10 for me.

A free money. It may not that be much but it's still free money and this is going to continue as long as there will be more projects that will be on their launchpool.

I start to see some folks that have got more than 100-160 BNB on the vault and they've got around $600 worth of free money.
370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm New To Crypto - Been Scammed - What Do You Think Of This Crypto Recovery Ser on: January 18, 2024, 07:10:25 AM
WHAT I'VE LEARNED
1.  Eddie Moon, the YouTube influencer who advised me to deposit funds into webulltradingbot.com, might be unaware that it's a scam site. He might only be getting a commission on the deposits.
Don't use the influencers or content creators as basis of trust. Because they don't even use the platforms that they're advertising and they're sponsored for giving exposure these projects or services that appears on their videos.

Most of them don't even research on the actual background of these platforms. What matters to them is to make a content, upload it on their channel, get paid with the views.

And also, get paid if there are sponsorships or brand deals that they have. They won't even care if the platform is a scam or they didn't spot on it for the first time or haven't seen the red flags upon advertising it.

They only care for the money and that's a fact. You rarely see nowadays content creators that care for their audience.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draw betting strategy on: January 17, 2024, 04:18:56 PM
I rarely bet with draw because in esports, there's no draw at most times unless the series is just best of 2 and that's the only time that draw is possible.

Although on that phase of the tournament, draw is very possible. It is what I am avoiding because it's hard to get onto those phase when most teams aren't serious and are on experimental mode.

I guess it's the same reason for the other sports where draw is possible and bettors might bet on it but on a very rare case.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how wasabi, electrum, exodus ... make money ? on: January 17, 2024, 02:31:13 PM
~snip~
That's too bad that they're working for free, in my opinion, they're the type of people that I won't mind paying for their services because they're doing what they're promising to do, they would've been making bank if they start some form of monetization but they choose to be our heroes, when I finally made a profit, I'll probably do what @ThomasV wanted us to do. I can't imagine myself running a server and having to spend my own money to run it without any profit
They've got concern to the community and I am sure that there have been a lot of opportunities that came to them after helping everyone here.

It is one of the most successful projects that they've done so, let's say that they are still into development or consultancy. Then, it's possible that they've been hired by known companies that pays them well.

I salute this people, not all heroes wear capes.
There are many of them and we're all grateful for having them.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how wasabi, electrum, exodus ... make money ? on: January 17, 2024, 03:26:51 AM
Do Electrum devs have any donation link? I don't think people won't mind if they do that because a lot of people are using their wallet with satisfaction and it's a pretty good wallet too, easy to use and almost idiot proofed. It's pretty good that they care about their servers but the devs need some love too right?
I haven't seen any donation address on the official website. Maybe there was before, I can't remember but this is what I've seen on the same question if there's a way to donate to electrum.

This is the exact thing that came out when I've searched. It asked and answered three years ago on reddit.

Electrum probably doesn't have revenue as part of its operational structure. As for donations, this was once the reply of the developer:

However, you you can donate to the people who run public Electrum servers.
Electrum does relies on servers, and we currently lack an effective way to reward the server operators.

they don't accept donations. instead they suggest donating to the electrum server you are connected to. you can do that via the help menu option.

Prolly, all of the servers and stuff are gonna run based on its community or otherwise if come short, from their own pockets.
374  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 16, 2024, 10:03:38 PM
I have seen websites spamming google with strong links and all. Is spamming the only way?
I am not expert on this but what I think you mean is about SEO and that's pretty normal for most of the businesses. Well, as for a casino that markets out and trying to fetch all the gamblers in the world, they have to do the necessary marketing to filter everyone that will see their ads or links.

any example of successfully running crypto gambling site to do research on?
You're already on the right section to see most of them and you can check each of the announcement thread here as many of the casinos here can be said successful or have a lot of gamblers.
375  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 16, 2024, 12:58:02 PM
Like for example in the forum, we've got a lot of casinos advertising through here because first, this is a Bitcoin forum that tends to be also the most known crypto community whereas varous types of people can be found here.

So, that's it. Where everyone meets with the same interest with Bitcoin and also gambling. Another one is being done by most the platforms themselves where they're availing to market.

They've got their own metrics based on the range or what the advertisers(casinos) need for them to reach their target audience.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you holding any gaming based altcoins? on: January 16, 2024, 08:52:02 AM
Axie Infinity is bad experienced gaming coins and I don't have any ideas will make the same mistake by investing or holding any gaming based altcoin, its not worth yet many gaming based altcoin as hype only when their games success sold out many expensive NFT items game will make their coins drop drastically.
I think many holder are disappointed with holding Axie Infinity or other gaming based altcoin because they can't earn much profitable and price drop drastically.
Not easy waiting for recovering with gaming based altcoin, less community and lack investor trusted make many games coins have lower price and drop transaction volume in daily day.
It was terrible loss for most that did invest during the hype of it. I think that the team of Sky Mavis did well on their marketing and they have launched it on the right time. And that is how the craze scattered all over the world.

The lesson now that everyone has taken is to be curious with every project that we invest and we do not bite to the hype anymore else, you are going to be the one that will catch the falling knives.

I do not have trust anymore with most of them because it is just hard to sustain their model although I am optimistic that someday, that, gaming projects are going to be like producing office job likes career in the actual blockchain industry the same as e sports industry.
377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Patience is power on: January 15, 2024, 03:59:12 PM
That's a good story from you then. It's an helpful tip from most of us that if you just want to stay calm and chill while waiting for some decent gains, you just have to hold.

You don't have to go what others are doing like trading and monitoring the market all day long as that's their forte. If you know that your forte isn't like that, you need not to effort a lot but to accumulate and hold.

Look at the investors that have been holding Bitcoin for so long, they all have common things to say and that's to be patient, hold and accumulate more.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: girl math vs boy math on: January 15, 2024, 01:41:24 PM
There are girls that have the same mindset as us. That can endure all of the luxuries that she desires but they're not that a lot. We know that most of the girls are fashionable and they want to be in at most times.

While us, we can't even buy those personal things that we wanna have but at least sometime in the future, we will be able to afford it for multiple times and that's a real story.

If it's about the patience in investing, we're the same and we can hold for as long as we can be.
379  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Exploring RITZ Sports Bet: The Future of Decentralized and Centralized Betting on: January 15, 2024, 11:12:45 AM
We've got like these decentralized casinos and bookies in the past but they're like few to none of them became famous and stable. I haven't seen a hybrid platform but I think that most bettors stay where they're used to gamble.

Like the centralized ones, it has become the norm these days for most bettors to just stay on them whether you are for the casino games or sports betting, you stay where you're more familiar and comfortable to gamble with.

So, the centralized ones are likely to stay and last longer than any of these new types.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can build trust in the crypto community? on: January 14, 2024, 11:03:14 PM
It is very simple IMHO although I don't have any projects that I need to build its trust and it's different from the actual person like you that actually builds it than someone who is just giving some theories and opinions.

But since you've asked for our opinions, with what I've said for being simple is that you need to be transparent and that's all.

Transparent in all aspects of the project, codes, funding, marketing, and all of the concerns that will be asked to you, to be answered with transparency.
