3681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: STOP selling bitcoin on MtGox, b/c there's virtually no way to withdraw it on: June 28, 2012, 04:17:25 PM
SWIFT transfers may take some time but they always arrive. I have received my last one after 18 days of waiting.

@MtGox, make withdrawals clear faster and I'm yours for the rest of my life. Keep up the good work!

18 days? You think that's good?

I've used Bitstamp and Bitcoin-24 and got the money on my bank account in less than 48hrs in both cases. And that was because I had to wait till the next day for them to initiate the transfer Roll Eyes

You better raise your standards lol
Even an international wire(non-SEPA) shouldn't take longer than 4 business days.
3682  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of this scammer on: June 28, 2012, 04:02:38 PM
I sent bitcoins to Kornkrit Sreburin and now he is reversing the transaction. His email is kornkrits@yahoo.com

Tell paypal it was a digital goods sale. No buyer protection for it. If it worked with that klamm guy it will work with you also.
3683  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Instant Reloadable VISA card on: June 28, 2012, 02:09:08 PM
OK, I got the SEPA transfer in the card. 24hrs since the money was transfered until it arrived on the card.

Now I'll be heading to the ATM and make an withdrawal and get back to you guys Smiley

EDIT: The withdrawal worked. € 150, which is the maximum daily limit for cash withdrawals.
The CC payment to my registrar also worked. Funded my account with € 100 to pay for some domains that are due soon.

This cards are the real deal, folks. Low limits, some fees, etc., but what matters is that they do work.
3684  Economy / Lending / Re: 15 BTC loan to dank - IBB - Islamic Bank of Bitcoin on: June 28, 2012, 05:06:24 AM

The funny part is that he's already asking for a 330 BTC loan without even having this one paid off

I wouldn't say he's a moron... homie just needs to get his shit together.

That was a figure of speech.
But don't you find it funny* that some guys around here resort to get more debt to pay older debt when that problem was one of the reasons Bitcoin was created?
Unlike fiat, with Bitcoin someone will be left empty handed in the end.

*funny as in "smells funny", not funny as in hilarious

3688  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: $10 worth of Bitcoin bounty for Audio work on: June 28, 2012, 02:02:13 AM
Bounty is still open.
It should be less than an hours work on any windows box with the free "windows movie maker" that comes preinstalled with windows.

Cross post the thread on the Newbies section. I'm sure there will be someone there eager to earn almost 2 Bitcoins Wink
I would do it for you, but my current bandwidth is crap even to download the podcasts, imagine uploading 2 videos!
3689  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Instant Reloadable VISA card on: June 27, 2012, 11:46:02 PM
You just have to add PL to the beginning of the account number to get the IBAN.
The BIC/SWIFT code of the bank is: WBKPPLPP

3691  Economy / Gambling / Re: StrikeSapphire | We need some support. on: June 27, 2012, 10:42:19 PM
Yes: Online gambling is legal in the UK and most of Europe.

Proxy use is ok as well.

This is bad advice. Proxy use is forbidden on StrikeSapphire. We take all reasonable measures to prevent it (as well as some unreasonable ones). Moreover, it's a violation of our TOS, and any account we believe to be using a proxy for the purpose of circumventing national laws will be frozen and ID verification required to unlock it.
He has to say that, otherwise his ass is on the line.

Oh, he's not just "saying" it. He really means it.
3692  Economy / Economics / Re: 60 banks hacked, millions stolen! on: June 27, 2012, 10:37:34 PM
Ok, things aren't adding up here.

To further hide the criminal activity, the hackers alter bank statements, leaving the victims clueless to the transactions.

So whose multifactor authentication was compromised?  The customer cannot alter their own bank statement.

If it was the customer's chip and pin system (or whatever they use) to blame, then the problem wouldn't be hacked bank statements.

So, my bet is that this is a compromise of the banks internal systems and not just compromises on the customer side.

From what I read, Zeus and Spyeye use a kind of MTIM attack that waits for the users to make a transfer of their own, but modifying the recipient and the ammount. After, the clueless user inserts the TAN and aproves the transfer Cheesy
Banks like that way of exploiting because they can blame the users and leave them empty handed Wink
3693  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Instant Reloadable VISA card on: June 27, 2012, 10:32:29 PM
I also know a lot of people for whom these cards aren't working, but maybe that seller has decided to run...

Aren't working in what sense exactly?
Anyway, I'll find tomorrow for sure as my SEPA transfer should be credited by then. I'll try an ATM withdrawal in Portugal and a 2Checkout payment on my registrar and tell you all about it Grin
3694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OSX Bitcoin-Qt private key on: June 27, 2012, 07:18:20 PM

3695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Finally, Bitcoin withdrawals to PayPal from BitInstant! on: June 27, 2012, 07:14:31 PM

What do you do for Bitcoin?

I use them: every day! Good enough for you?

Also, I use Bitcoin to avoid fee suckers, not to have 2 more sucking money out of me, so, your suggestion of not using your service is superfluous.

Before someone else starts talking about "calming my antagonism", read this: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/07/jobs/07pre.html?_r=1
"My antagonism" only exists in your head, ok?
3696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OSX Bitcoin-Qt private key on: June 27, 2012, 06:50:01 PM
Try this:
Code:
curl --user testUser --data-binary '{"method": "walletpassphrase", "params": ["<passphrase>", 120] }' http://127.0.0.1:8332/
replacing <passphrase> with your walletpassphrase

and next
Code:
curl --user testUser --data-binary '{"method": "dumpprivkey", "params": ["1GrEBzpFfquAk81zaHnL8pKHRRn3kGHhD5"] }' http://127.0.0.1:8332/

When done,
Code:
curl --user testUser --data-binary '{"method": "walletlock"}' http://127.0.0.1:8332/
To lock the wallet again with the passphrase as it seems the timeout doesn't work quite well when unlocking, so better safe than sorry.

After all that you may wish to delete your terminal history or else the passphrase will be left in there.

3697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OSX Bitcoin-Qt private key on: June 27, 2012, 06:20:58 PM
Sign a message with that address, please. Tongue No need to take your word for it.
But looking at the blockchain.info page and seeing as it only received half a bitcent in there and never sent anything, it really is yours and not an address that happened to send you coins.

BTW, I was just joking about the message signing Wink

But I'm not joking about this: Your wallet is encrypted! You need to decrypt it before sending the commands Tongue
And given that there is no bitcoind on Mac I don't know of a way for you to do it on the Terminal.

This is the way to do it on linux:
Quote
Oh, you need to unencrypt your wallet temporarily so it can add the new key. I do the following, so my passphrase doesn't end up in my shell history. It unlocks the wallet for 60 seconds: read x; ./bitcoind walletpassphrase "$x" 60; unset x
From: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/3530/how-to-import-a-private-key-to-an-encrypted-wallet-on-standard-client

Well, I guess it's time for you to figure out how to install pywallet Grin
You'll be able to give it the password to decrypt the wallet.
3698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OSX Bitcoin-Qt private key on: June 27, 2012, 05:25:07 PM
Did you leave the quotation marks around the address? You should have left them there.

Example using the address I have on my signature, just replace it with yours.

Code:
curl --user <username> --data-binary '{"method": "dumpprivkey", "params": ["1PKyq6aMKcCwn8cmb9Jc5SkNydLsQb5n7K"] }' http://127.0.0.1:8332/

EDIT: I tried without the quotation marks and it gave me the following error, so that wasn't your problem.
Code:
{"result":null,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"Parse error"},"id":null}

Are you sure you didn't paste a Bitcoin address taken from the Address Book, that is, a Bitcoin address that belongs to someone else and not to you?
Your addresses are listed on the "Receive Coins" separator only.

Why the multiple threads?

People tend to think that by posting on the "Bitcoin Discussion" board will get them more views.

Sorry, I didnt realize I made 2 threads. Feel free to delete the other one.

I can't delete it. Also, it's the other one that is posted on the correct board. Smiley

Well … don't know official policies but for tis long awaited feature it's the right board. Move it else where in a week.

Long awaited feature that Tangible Cryptography have available for at least 2 months and that Spendbitcoins.com have available for more than 6 months? Is that what you're talking about? Doesn't seem the slightest bit innovative to me.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90240.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54896.0

Also, this is my personal opinion, take as you wish.
Bitinstant is NOT bitcoin. Their service is NOT a long awaited feature as it clearly existed long before.
Their PR is better? Probably, but maybe that is because they are posting their threads in the wrong place.
