But anonymity is a feature that can actually be added to the
bitcoin client fairly easily (coin control), as well as provided
by mixing services.

There is no need to add anything to the bitcoin client.

The raw transaction API provides everything needed for full input/output control when building transactions.

LOL, sure, there's just the fact that you need to have
a PhD in quantum physics to operate the damn thing.

I was talking about something that normal people can use,
like support for multiple, guaranteed to be segregated wallets.

LOL

Wouldn't be interesting if Pirate = Silk Road.  Pirate is kind of a fitting name for SR.

The nickname used by the SR admin is "Dread Pirate Roberts" lol

Edited the post above with the new revision.

Psy,

How close is this one to being SVGable?  I would be curious just to see how bitaddress.org might look with it in it.

It has a few typos: Strenght Strength.  Reedem Redeem (I prefer Spend over Redeem, since it's a commodity rather than an obligation).  Also the little B-logo on the lower right corner is still the wrong one

Will fix the typos and change the BTC with the correct one and post a revision later, probably editing the post above.
Will work on the full svg later. Let's see if tomorrow by this time I'm able to have an svg to give you.

EDITED:

This one supports Satoshi's. The amount should be inserted on the blank line after "Amount:" aligned to the right, but including the denomination, bitcoins or milibitcoints or satoshis or whatever else before or after the number of units.

Stop bitcoin/d
Remove any database/log* files from your bitcoin data directory
Run the rescan process again

Just leaving this here for whoever will work on the website as I think it will be handy.

A few days ago I sold some coins at $9 and transferred the USD to MtGox using AurumXchange and bought more than I sold at $7.2 each.

Nothing fishy. Just natural inbalance between markets.

You must tick the checkbox "Save a copy in my outbox" below the Message entry field, on the left.

Move the thread to Meta, please. The Technical Support forum is for Bitcoin related topics.

QR code background could match a color scheme

I don't think so. Qr-codes are black pixels on a white background for a reason.

getting better every revision..

Will someone make a simple program to print these out without editing a file ?

That request should be made to the Armory developer. I would love to print these notes with pub and priv keys coming from one of Armory's deterministic wallets, preferably offline Wink

I am not referring to the font, I am referring to the outline of the following shape: -----> BTC

Yes, I understood. Was answering to unclemantis.
Your request to change the BTC with the regular one used on the logo will be dealt with tomorrow, along with a new version.
3273  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How would you like to design a bitcoin banknote? on: July 17, 2012, 11:29:09 PM

The BTC logo looks re-rendered from scratch and is visibly different from the commonly seen one - consider snipping the original vector shapes from the PDF found here. https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=1756.0

The BTC logo has a slanted stroke on the lower left side of the B which is not present in the note.

This is the font used http://font.ubuntu.com/

Yes, that is the font used on all the text of the note.

I think you guys are picturing the folding of the note the wrong way...

Must take some pictures to show you, I guess.

The green note is the one who has a problem when it's folded because you'll see the qr-code thru the back of the note. The orange one has no such problem.

Now if only there was some type of non-reversible way for you to pay me at least 25% of $550 for the 50 coins you just secured...

$137.50 is what it costs to secure this deal. They aren't free. I am 100% willing to escrow 50 coins until October for $137.50, right now. Why not.

Talk to litecoin and bitcoin.me ...they will tell you I will honor the deal 100%.

One more thing. At the moment I don't have cash. So you will have to wait until October 31st just like I have to wait until then. And NO they are not free. They will be $11 each per our deal.

That's not how it works... You pay up 25% now and if you don't buy it for $11-25%/BTC on the given date, bye bye 25%.
There is no honor in this deal, just numbers.

The few non-text PSD layers that aren't in .ai format can be easily transformed in vector. Still need to check if I export it as .EPS in photoshop if I can convert to .ai or .svg in the whole instead of converting single layers by hand(should be 2 or 3 layers only).

The equation is from Satoshi's whitepaper. You can find it  on: 11.Calculations, page 7.

Tomorrow I will insert the Eliptic Curve line in there and we shall see how it looks.
3278  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How would you like to design a bitcoin banknote? on: July 17, 2012, 06:08:41 PM
New version. As always I'm open to suggestions. Don't be afraid to criticise.

The privkey Qr-code was switched to the middle or else it will be seen trough the paper when folding the note to hide it. It shows backwards and one could always hide it with the thumb, but if it's in the middle, like it is, that won't be needed.

3279  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How would you like to design a bitcoin banknote? on: July 17, 2012, 05:04:12 PM
svg xml code to create sideway text that can be created dynamicaly with javascript(?), thus easily auditable and can be saved for offline use(?).

Code:
  <text
     x="-342.69812"
     y="196.88989"
     id="maintext"
     xml:space="preserve"
     style="font-size:7.98474503000000002px;font-style:normal;font-weight:bold;line-height:125%;letter-spacing:0px;word-spacing:0px;fill:#000000;fill-opacity:1;stroke:none;-inkscape-font-specification:Ubuntu Bold;font-family:Ubuntu;font-stretch:normal;font-variant:normal"
     sodipodi:linespacing="125%"
     transform="matrix(0,-0.95570692,1.0463459,0,0,0)"><tspan
       x="-342.69812"
       y="196.88989"
       id="tspan3006"
       style="fill:#000000;font-weight:bold;-inkscape-font-specification:Ubuntu Bold;font-family:Ubuntu;font-style:normal;font-stretch:normal;font-variant:normal">5Hw7XgVq8nWhLGpLL88C6jHenNXQYgFhWf5n48ATEq39Ppjg6CB</tspan></text>

Now i don't know if you'll be using js to create the svg and I really have no idea because I'm not a programmer. Just looked inside an svg with a text editor and grab the code.

I think it should output the bit bills in pdf format, even for paper saving. 3 or 4 notes on each page would be ideal.

Also, won't it be a problem to have text sideways, like the one I included on my samples to show the address and private key?
