3701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What next after bitcoin ? on: January 04, 2021, 03:28:23 AM
The fact is most, if not all Governments won't accept Bitcoin to be used as their official currency because
1. They can not control Bitcoin (like printing more Bitcoins on demand)
2. They cannot control the price of Bitcoin. We all know how volatile bitcoin price is
3. They won't be able to freeze or undo Bitcoin transactions once confirmed etc

What I think may happen is that Governments may borrow the idea of Bitcoin and try to create centralized alternate blockchains that can act as currencies. Bitcoin will remain as a currency for those who prefer freedom and some level of anonymity

The purpose for the creation of bitcoin was to create a decentralized currency free from outside control. This eliminates any third-party that handles our cash which is based purely on "trust". If the government were to create their own centralized currency, this goes outside the main purpose of decentralization and freedom from outside control.

Bitcoin will still remain even to the years to come due to this revolutionary aspect. Even if the government were to intervene, I doubt that they can eliminate completely the existence of these coins.

i mean how we gonna move from the current financial system to the new decentralized one , i believe that we wont just shut down the usd and turn bitcoin on because its not working like that .

so any one can give me clear and simple explanation about how this gonna work ?

I doubt that the current traditional system will shift to a decentralized one in the coming years. I personally think that bitcoin and our respective currencies can co-exist with each other with one not replacing the other.

3703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties are profitable or not ? on: December 25, 2020, 08:45:16 PM
Hope Doing well anybody tell me actually i did recently i have  joining the bounties because some bounties are real and some bounties are coming low value in the market but how i guess this is real or not i have doing joining too much project. ICO Bounties how too pay us with good profit ? iam doing last 3 to 4 month in this bounties field but i have difficult to find new real project hope you are understand thanks

To be honest, lots of newbie accounts with hundreds of posts usually join bounties and they are also the ones who complain for not ranking-up.

In terms of profitability, I have no personal experience of such but I have personally seen some fake projects hosting bounties. These projects contribute to the spam in the forum which is typically prohibited. If you are planning on joining bounties, then this is the time to look back and to start discovering new ways of earning money.

Generally, I would advise you to at least contribute in the forum and create meaningful/supportive threads for users in the forum. In that process, it gives you the potential to earn merits which would enable you to participate in campaign signatures. Be wary, though, that earning income should not be your main priority in the forum but actual contribution as a whole.
3704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFESSION TIME: I SOLD TOO EARLY on: December 25, 2020, 08:28:43 PM
Let's hear you, how or where did you first discover Bitcoin? Did you mine on your laptops? Did you buy from MTGox or one of those early days trade platform's? And, most importantly, did you sell too soon? Or luckily, did you hodl till now?

Like what I have mentioned to my previous replies, I first joined this forum way back in 2017 where the price of one (1) bitcoin was around $5,000. I used to earn some bitcoins through participating in campaign signatures but most of the proceeds went to fund for my education as living in a third-world country was tough. Looking back, if I had kept all of my earnings to my wallet right now, I could have around at least 0.5 BTCs but I do not regret spending those.

I still have some remaining bitcoins but basing on the trend on its price over the years, I would say that HODL bitcoins for 2-3 more years would definitely be in my favor.
3705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: December 25, 2020, 08:08:30 PM
But just why APEX didn't  have this kind of exposure on Gambling? I mean, you know it has almost the same Gameplay and almost the same tasks in game... Or is it just Valorant is eco and user friendly? Easy to play and understand?

Hmm, I think Apex Legends should be categorized under the games like PUBG and Fortnite as such games are what you call battle-royale games. Unlike those games, Valorant offers a relatively-easier game style due to its face-paced combat. In addition, the gameplay is your typical first-person shooter game that follows a round-to-round basis (very similar to CSGO). Lastly, the player count per round is definitely lower compared to APEX, PUBG, and Fortnite where only two teams with 5 player each team participate.

I believe that the interest of Valorant comes from its roots on where such gameplay is inspired- which is CSGO (king of FPS).
3706  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a Tesla with Bitcoin on: December 25, 2020, 07:37:09 PM
This is an interesting chart, OP.

When I first started in this forum last June 2017, the price of one (1) bitcoin was running around $4,500-$5,000 and the latter price was already considered a bullish run. Now, the price index/history of bitcoin showed that its price constantly increased throughout the years to the point that you can already buy a Tesla Car for less than two (2) bitcoins.

I just hope the trend continues in the future as I am excited as well for the future of bitcoin's price.
3707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: December 25, 2020, 02:28:38 PM
I, too, played Valorant and compared with CSGO, well the graphics and skills are to be compared, what I really can think of its highly competitive  is APEX LEGENDS.but the thing is Valorant is way more addictive than APEX and so many wants to play and so does with bets.
So it really goes off the line when it comes to gameplays and other as such.

I hate Valorant for being too cartoonish and it seems that developers have done it just for money. And yeah, it's not so popular as CSGO and Fortnite, so betting will be a little harder (less choices for that) and of course less available (less books have Valorant at their services).

The gameplay is a matter of preference but the cartoonish design was intended to avoid being too realistic compared to CSGO's play style. Though most of the movements and skills are the same in CSGO, there is still a learning curve that you need to master in terms of the agents respective abilities.

Betting in valorant is growing and more players from CSGO are shifting towards this new game. As someone who played CSGO for more than 5 years, the fresh game style that Valorant offered definitely tickled my interest.
3708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tutorial - How to create Table in the BitcoinTalk Forum on: December 25, 2020, 10:28:50 AM
For new comers!
Hope everyone finds it useful. The topic went down a bit lot so thought to bring it up.  Cheesy

I am not a newbie but this topic is definitely useful!

I remember when I first created my own thread and it required me to formulate my own table in order to make a list of scammers. At first, I borrowed @TalkStar's format in his thread but I devised and edited a few tables (which required me to do trial and error) to at least make it presentable and easier to the eye. If I just found this post before, this could have made my life easier!

Very good post, OP and keep up the good work!
3709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 24, 2020, 09:04:42 PM
Quite surprised to see how India is not on the list there. I mean, every single year I used to go to my grandmother's home to celebrate the festival of Diwali and we people used to see our elders playing rummy and teen patti and what not. It's unbelievable that others don't play with their money?  Huh
Is it about the countries or is it about the average amount of money a person uses over gambling each month?

To be honest, I am quite surprised that there are no third-world countries mentioned on the list given that a large number of people gamble on such countries.

Like what you mentioned, India has a significant large population but the survey failed to consider the amount of people who gamble at the country. I have some serious doubts as to the veracity and conclusiveness of the survey but I do feel like the government relatively made an impact on how they handle their gambling activities. In addition, people who live in third-world countries would likely result to gambling due to the limited means of earning income due to lack of job opportunities and employment.

3710  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: December 24, 2020, 08:48:12 PM
Now the real question is, how long will it take banks to start the transition from physical to digital cash (CBDC)? Do you think that physical cash will still be used right after governments adopt CBDCs in their entirety? Or will it take decades before every single person in the world stops transacting with physical cash, paving the way for a full-fledged cashless society? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

I personally doubt that the transition to a digital cash will happen anytime soon as there are lots of factors to be considered.

Due to the disparity among developed, developing, and underdeveloped countries, the latter two suffers from technological deficiencies and innovation as each country has their own set of priorities. In addition, the shift to a digital cash system implies that the platform used would be secure and tamper-proof in order to avoid loss of cash. Lastly, the presence of physical cash has been in existence since time immemorial.

The barter system of transaction slowly transformed to using coins which represent cash in the society. Despite the convenience of having digital cash to purchase goods, a shift to this kind of system will leave other countries behind.
3711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the purpose of your post ? on: December 23, 2020, 07:57:49 PM
I have seen most of you carry a different signature banner on your profile. I know that you get paid for the advertisements that you distribute throughout the forum space because of the signature you use. Only a small proportion of you may not be paid anything from the signatures you use.

The last few days I've learned a lot and noticed how people keep posting ideas, answering questions, sharing knowledge, and so on. What is your goal in posting ? Would someone be guilty of posting just to get paid ?

Sorry if this is a silly question from a beginner.

To begin with, this forum was created in order to share your ideas, knowledge, and news about the cryptocurrency world. As this is the biggest and most famous forum currently, lots of users advertise their projects/tokens in this forum due to the incoming traffic that visits this forum daily. Due to that, signature campaigns were created in order to serve as a form of advertising.

Now, most users participate in a signature campaign since it gives you income depending on the required number of posts weekly. In a cryptocurrency enthusiast, this is like living in two worlds at the same time- you get to share your passion and experience while at the same time being paid for doing the thing that you love.

As long as the user does not spam, scam, or otherwise cheat in the campaign, then I see no problem with it.
3712  Other / Meta / Re: [2020] Positive news! on: December 23, 2020, 07:03:01 PM
2020 ends. It has been a very interesting year for the crypto community.

Finally, the worst year (so far and hopefully the last) has come to an end.

Though this year has shook everyone due to the unexpected pandemic, this is also a humbling experience that I was able to focus on the things that I neglected before. My biggest achievement for this year would be the time that I supported and paid half of the education of my younger brother through the proceeds that I gained from participating in campaign signatures. My brother is 10 years old and I was able to pay for his education for one semester and it definitely helped my dad in alleviating his expenses.
3713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 23, 2020, 11:22:33 AM
I think that people must bet on what they think will happen whatever the ods...ods is a fully trapped thing and bookmakers are not really innocent  Grin
They know well how to trapp bettors and make them choise the wrong desision

Sometimes I don't really care what the odds is since there are sudden instance that the game phase changed and sudden miracle happens, that's why I always look up the rooster on each team if they are available to play when I am betting since lacking of 1 good contributor could really change a lot in the game if we talk about in sportsbook betting scene.

I agree with your statement.

The odds appearing are not conclusive although they only reflect a probability of what is going to happen. Like what you mentioned, it not being conclusive, there is always that chance of the games being turned around by sudden unfortunate events on the game especially in sports where skills are one of the important factors. Odds may help a person at least to derive at a decision whether to bet or not but they are no means of being conclusive data.
3714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BRAND NEW on: December 22, 2020, 10:39:20 PM
Hello everyone, I'm new here, I don't my way around..I need help. How do I go about stuffs on this forum. Please someone should help me out.

Like what most mentioned, I highly advise you to check the forum rules in order to avoid getting banned early on.

I highly recommend that you engage into meaningful topics and avoid posting spam messages across the boards. Additionally, you may also want to contribute to the forum as a whole and you may also share your experiences and knowledge about cryptocurrency.
Also, I also advise you to read the relatively new implementation called the "merit system" so you can be familiarize on the ranking of the accounts. Be wary, though, that only substantial, amusing, and helpful posts are usually merited by individuals in the forum so better start improving your post quality!
3715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Gaming and Social Media in the era of Decentralization and Blockchain on: December 22, 2020, 07:38:39 PM
I noticed that the main domain of your project is "stackhost" and monetas are the subdirectory. Stackhost is your parent company or something?

In addition to the domain name, the Whitepaper and other social media websites links are not working in the website. Furthermore, I also do hope that OP provides more information about the project as I am interested enough to know the information and to check whether they have plagiarized the contents or not.

OP, please listen and fix your website to further clarify the details and information about your project.

Hi upon checking the website of your project, I observed that part of your whitepaper has been copied from Sensitrust's WP. In addition, I seriously think that you should heavily consider changing the images of your e-shopping platform as you just edited and pasted the image of Acether in the product of Herbalife. Kindly check the reference below.

3717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 22, 2020, 10:22:40 AM
In a business perspective, this is excellent for both fighters given that the undefeated fighter and some Youtube Star will garner millions of views from around the world. But in a boxing perspective, maybe this fight would be relatively boring in a way that Mayweather will again, play by the rules and by the points. Nevertheless, I look forward in this fight but I do not expect anything explosive that will happen in the following rounds.

Is anyone even considering the possibility of a win by Logan Paul? Or do you guys think that there is not even a 0.0001% chance of that happening? Floyd Mayweather retired from professional boxing many years ago and he is no longer training regularly. So I would assume that there is a remote chance that Paul may land some of his shots on the right position.... well.. even for me it sounds ridiculous.. If Paul manages to beat Mayweather, it will be the greatest boxing upset of all time.
It never came to my mind that Logan Paul will win this match.

Retired boxers are still continuously training because it's already part of their lives. And Floyd has said to be coming out of his retirement because of reasons like this.

There's really a chance that Logan can win through a very lucky throw punch.

Nah, Floyd will play this match by the points and just try his best to avoid those punches. He knows this too well that Logan is undeniably larger than him, that is why he will safe in this match.
3718  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Protocol Finance Plagiarized Whitepaper on: December 21, 2020, 04:35:08 PM
This is just a lazy attempt on the person who created this project. Copying 100% and causing it to appear that he owned all of such content is just appalling and laughable at best.

I saw on his official Hotbit telegram channel has some employees on board and I have already reported this thread to one of the team but they responded well and said they will pass on this matter to other relevant colleagues let's wait for the best results hope they get rid of the launch PFI tokens on Hotbit so that this does not cause any casualties that will occur later.

Obviously this PFI token can be said to be fraudulent because there is nothing unique in the product so I urge all Hotbit users not to focus on this token, it can be said that it is very vulnerable to a scam later.

I do hope that they actually do something about this but I also doubt that they will change it IMO. It is sad to see that people are opting to plagiarize and copy any work just to at least attempt to scam/steal a newbie in investing to their fake project.

Good find OP and I also urge everyone to do the same!
3719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith Super Middleweight Title on: December 20, 2020, 11:56:13 PM
And the good thing is that Canelo allows Callum to survive until 12 round, Callum must be thankful for this.
I believe he didn't intentionally do that, it was Callum ability to survive the fight that made him to last in the entire rounds. If you have watched the fight, people are booing him because Callum was not engaging anymore in the later rounds, particularly in the last round, people wants to see action but in the mind of Callum, he just want to survive.

I agree with you.

Saying that Canelo allowed Callum to survive the entire fight felt like you were invalidating his efforts throughout the fight. Despite Canelo being aggressive the whole match, he still was not able to knockout Callum which is a great feat when you are against the best pound-for-pound king in the ring. Still, it was an enjoyable fight and I hope to see more of his action on the ring!
