Does cryptocurrency play an effective role in the development of the country? Or does it hinder the development of the country and cause extreme damage to the country?

I do think that adoption of cryptocurrencies has positive effects on the development of a country. Since cryptocurrencies have become a staple payment as an alternative payment to most businesses for their products/services, this provides a cashflow in the country. Anything that enters within the country's jurisdiction as money is always beneficial. Money entered into the country can be likened to as remittances from OFWs. But then again, this has to be regulated by the government to take advantage of its full effects first. |

So happy for Hamilton and Mercedes today and fans are happy as well that Lewis delivered some justice and took the 1st place. Great race from Bottas too and this time even if Mercedes looked sloppy on the 2nd stop , they knew exactly what they are doing because in 5 laps Hamilton was already behind Max at just 1 second so I think the undercut was planned no to work in order to make Max to push and make him pit earlier ...so many mind battles are going behind the scenes and this is why we love F1.
This is definitely one of my favorite race this year. Hamilton just showed on why he is the world champion due to his overtaking skills and confidence with the car. As someone who started last during the sprint race and started 8th on this race, he calmly overtook most of the drivers along the race. In turn 59 when he got the slipstream, he managed to snag the place from his rival Verstappen, which secured him the spot throughout the race. This is like old school F1 rivalry all over again!  |

Great to see Lakers defeating a Spurs in tonight's game since AD stepped-up big time in the match. Though the Lakers are still struggling with their team chemistry, one cannot ignore the individual skill of the players that they have once they unleash it. I just really hope that the performance of AD will become consistent right after this match as I just really want to witness Lakers win!
The game between the Cavs vs Celtics was also a good game especially that you can see an era of new generations of rookies. I find it hard to believe that the generation of rookies nowadays are so talented!

The betting market might be small but they are getting good money from PPV and live audiences. They don't care about that because they have no money to expect in terms of the betting market. There are still lots of people who are following exhibition matches even how crap it looked for us.
If that continues, the real boxing world will become more as an exhibition milking money to people.
This is actually the event that I fear the most where real boxing might become slowly obsolete with these kinds of matches and exhibition fights. The problem with most exhibition fights stem from the boxers, the viewers, and the entertainment they offer. Surely, it gives so much entertainment when we watch some old boxers fight famous people but this somehow defeats the spirit of boxing. I was just thinking how full members, Senior members, heroes, legendaries are generous with merits. This question came after I checked my merit history and realised I have only given out 1 merit. Legendary members do not look like they need more merit. FYI I have read a couple of lengends complain they rather merit be given to those who need it to achieve rank than themselves. How about you guys, what is your standard for giving merits? Merit given to a post is usually 1 or 2, very few cases have I seen someone giving 5 merits or more to a post. Is there a limit to how much merits one can send? Is there an unofficial rule when giving merits? And what is your standard to consider post a quality
Remember that in order to get 1 sMERIT, you must receive 2 merits from users across this forum. Now for my standards, it depends upon the quality of the posts and the value that it brings to the forum as a whole. Since giving merits is a subjective topic, it really depends on the user and to his standards whether he finds a topic which is worth meriting for. The only limit into sending merits is the amount of sMERITS that you currently have. Well an unofficial rule is that there should be no merit trading where you trade merits with someone in order to indirectly help them rank-up. |

As an HODLER investor, every bearish market opens an opportunity for me to purchase more BTCs while the price is down on the market. Although this technique will not guarantee profit short-time, it definitely has the potential of earning you significant amounts of return in long-term (basing this purely on the price history index of BTC). If you aim to earn short-term profits, then trading would be the advisable way to go although this may be extremely risky especially for newbies who lack the experience in this kind of platform. |

Financial stability, in my opinion, is the state where all basic needs (i.e., food, shelter/rent, transportation) are not immediate problems for you and you have the capability of not working for an x amount of time without being stressed.
Most "poor" or impoverished individuals are just those who don't have safety nets in place and are living in a typical disadvantageous economy that abuses this hierarchical divide.
This is like the textbook definition of financial stability as it quickly summarized its most basic and essential condition- which is having enough money for one not to be stressed. Unfortunately, most third-world and underdeveloped countries suffer from financial stability of its individuals as majority of its population are below the average median household. Although financial ability may be relative depending on the cost of living per country, the general rule is that a person can live freely without having to worry about his/her expenses while meeting his monthly obligations. |

I suppose that the biggest game of the night was Golden State Warriors v Chicago Bulls. GSW are the team that have started in the best way to the season among all teams. They lost only once before this game in 10 games. And Bulls also started in a very solid way after renovating their roster. To be honest, I was expecting a quite competitive game here. But it turned out that GSW gained a quite comfortable victory by a 26-point difference (119-93). And Stephen Curry was at another level again by scoring 40 points. He continues to carry his team to victories.
It is just amazing to see that GSW has been continuously developing their players every game. You can see actually the improvement of these players as they slowly showcased their talents through building their confidence on the ring. This game is truly a testament to what other teams should be wary about. Without Klay and Wiseman, the Warriors are continuously proving to other teams that they are indeed, the best team right now. Curry is just phenomenal to watch and that game showed a vintage Iguodala on the making! |

Many of them fight because of money since there's a huge prize on this industry especially if they won and became famous, look at what Pacquaio did for sure many poor boxers make him as inspiration and want to be like him which we all know that he go rags to richest and became wealthy just because of boxing. Philippines have so many talented fighters and we see young champions rising up right now and the question here now is who will follow the track of Pacquaio.
I'd say most but only a few I guess gets to the top as being famous. He's was inspiration of the many athletes in this generation here in the Philippines and I guess even abroad not just in boxing but other sports too. It's not about the money but some most likely emulate him for the dedication he puts throughout his career. That's a vague question at the moment but likely not gonna see a new one in the decades to come comparing his legacy. I do think that boxers nowadays are engaging into this sports due to the potential of earning a significant amount of sum in each fight. Though the problem is, lots of people slightly invalidate the efforts of some boxers as most really do put their effort into training and honing their skill to perfect their craft. Pacquiao, on the other hand, is a prime example of the dream of most boxers. He started with nothing and ended with everything. With such humility, faith, and respectfulness, those are what drove him to be a better boxer amongst others. |

The problem is, if you exchange it for stable coins, the value may be less volatile but the amount of users accepting such may be relatively difficult to asses. Again, this is a decision on the part of the Government of El Salvador in which they assessed its respective pros and cons. By making BTC as a form of legal tender, not only did this opened an opportunity for users to use as payment but it also gave the 'go-signal' for other countries to follow their example. |

Doubt that banks will just go away.
Banks will certainly adapt to the new crypto landscape and start offering wealth management and transaction services that are denominated in terms of crypto.
But they will certainly not be extinct. Even in the crypto sphere some degree of centralization is necessary to sustain practices (at least as of current).
I wholeheartedly agree. Banks will remain as fiat will still continue to be the standard/medium of exchange even in the far future. What makes cryptocurrencies impossible for standardization is the recognition they must gain from countries before they come legal tender. Imagine having a currency that is volatile in nature, which changes its value every second of the day. This would not only disrupt the market but also be prejudicial to either the vendor or the vendee depending on who controls majority of the supply of BTC. That is also one of the reasons on why banks will continue to remain as long as fiat stays in the picture. |

I still recall the fight between GGG vs Canelo where both showed their respective prowess and skill in boxing. Watching three (3) games unveiled was definitely a privilege on my part as I was also able to dissect their individual strengths and weaknesses.
While Ryota Murata is an accurate puncher, I do think that GGG has this on the bag. Like what was previously stated, 18 matches of the latter against 43 matches of the former is too overwhelming. The gap between their experience may seem to be the crucial factor regarding the matchup between them. Though I do commend Japan for producing an elite middleweight boxer, which is slightly rare to witness in our current day and age.

It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?
I think it applies to every person who has a significant large amount of investments at their current platforms and exchanges. Given that cryptocurrencies has this reputation of their exchanges being scammed frequently, crypto owners are naturally paranoid when it comes to storing their coins in a specific wallet. For example, stocks have been regulated internationally by the Securities and Exchange Commissions, that is why you have confidence that your stocks will not be stolen. On the other hand, cryptocurrencies are somehow independent as the type of regulation they have are mere 'tolerance' when it comes to the perspective of the government. |

No doubt it's in favor of gambling companies in Germany.
But it doesn't prevent the victims especially the underaged that get into gambling and losing their earnings in a casino that charges a 10% house edge.
I'm not against them but what I've seen is people start gambling for fun and start to think of it as their earning source, especially under the 20s.
This is what the government is attempting to mitigate. With the restrictions being inevitable to protect the public against COVID transmission, this has brought about people seeking another avenue which is most likely illegal and unregulated. This being the case, the government has to somehow find a compromise to balance between restrictions and accessibility of gambling. Again, the effect would most probably be towards the underage group attempting to gamble on an unregulated website/establishment which can potentially endanger their future. |

I highly advise to check your local exchange in your country if they offer a buy and sell option for convenience. But like what most have mentioned, avoid exchanges that require KYC function as such offers abysmal rates on buying/selling cryptocurrencies. Preferably, once you purchase your coins in a given exchange, avoid putting them and storing them in that exchange for a long period of time. There have been histories of exchanges getting scammed and most of the BTCs stored were stolen. I highly advise that you purchase a hard wallet for maximum security of your coins and to avoid the problem of getting scammed. |

When you start to understand how the protocol works, what it truly is, then you know can’t ignore it, but have to HODL some of your own personal wealth in it. These Bitcoins are NOT mere Tulips.  I think this is an opportunity for everyone and a sign that HODLing may yield positive results long-term. The fact that previous persons who used to mock BTC are now changing their stance tells something about it. Many businessmen and big companies still attempt to undermine the value of BTC but at the end, the latter always prevails. That is the reason on why HODLing for long-term may yield significant profit especially when big establishments start to use BTC as a form of payment to their products/services. |

I agree with Shaq there. Jokic doesn't need to feel "too bad" for what he did. That was a dirty move and as a man, it's just normal to react like that. This would definitely be beneficial to Meta (Facebook) in terms of their revenue sharing. Imagine, having the most popular social media website that promotes gambling and offers games on their hub. Not only do you advertise various gambling websites among billions of people but you basically have a guarantee of a spot assuming that this happens. This will incur millions of profit to FB's side but again, this would be a question of morality as they may face this issue. |

Trading is something i have seen the equivalent methods as advantages and disadvantages in the same time, engaging into trading is good but is not to the extent of quiting in a job, except it's a situation whereby in the morning and night you are on system alone for Trading, so the advantages aspect of trading come this way, you might achieve a huge profit via trading through out one month interval without experience lost, while the disadvantages, can come and take off all the generated profit made for one month trading, so in nutshell, I'm trying putting these to everyone that trading is not what we can hope on, is better you have option A first for any othe thing and let trading represent your options B, because their is no assurance in trading to make a profit consistently.
Imagine leaving your stable job and regular income to a platform where all uncertainties are endless and possible. Though trading may yield significant profit (depending on the capital), it can also have the potential to backfire especially if you are a newbie to the trading world.
