381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion is highly needed! on: December 19, 2020, 03:02:13 PM
That is some risky play he is doing right now. I think it would be better if he just ask for a financial advisor to help him regarding that instead.

I mean, if he doesn't mind the ups and down of Bitcoin, then he should be okay investing in Bitcoin as long as emotion doesn't control him. Show him the 4 year cycle Bitcoin chart and he might find something interesting.

Another thing here is that, does he need the house immediately? why would he need a house? is it for investment? because in my opinion, it's better to invest that $50,000 than to loan just get a house if he doesn't need the house except for investment.
382  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold Debate Settled on: December 19, 2020, 02:51:56 PM
In terms of value, BTC clearly wins over Gold and Silver currently, but I don't think this should be our primary focus because we are treating BTC primarily as an asset in this scenario and not as a currency.

Value can be subjective too though. Bitcoin might be winning in terms of USD value right now but if you look at the market cap, gold is obviously far ahead. To be honest, I don't think neither needs to compete with each other. They both have independent usage which can be an advantage if used right. It's just that, people are treating gold as if its only purpose is to be an investment.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin advertising by celebrities. on: December 18, 2020, 02:18:17 PM
It is very obvious that they are just using bitcoin to lure people to use this app "Cashapp" just like a propaganda.

Don't just trust those celebrities when they are promoting something such as an app, crypto, giveaways, and etc. This is just mainly using bitcoin so that they can increase their users and advertise their platform. In addition, so that you are also aware, there are a lot of scams which are used in twitter and this people are using popular personalities to lure their victims.

Never trust easily on what you are seeing in a social media platforms.

The account looks legit and it seems that they are giving money to people. Though this some might see this as negative, It's actually not that bad. Bitcoin is getting free advertisement from a celebrity although it's obvious that its for cashapp. It's not like she is advising something negative.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senator plans to teach Congress how to use bitcoin to reduce the national debt on: December 18, 2020, 11:24:38 AM
It's good that at least someone is starting to consider utilizing Bitcoins capabilities for their national debt. I mean, it won't completely solve their problem but if it can help, then that would be phenomenal to US. This might even be a start of something positive if the result is good. Though I hope they really make it into a thing instead of just planning it.
385  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will be the next target of bitcoin in initially of 2021 ? on: December 18, 2020, 06:18:05 AM
That's plausible, assuming we maintain this good momentum and somehow more companies adopt cryptocurrency (something as large as Paypal), then we might see $30,000 by next year. I also see some large institution investing in Bitcoin so the possibility is there. The only gamble we'll have is outside factors. For example, absurd laws that will hinder a certain powerhouse, or maybe a large scam large enough to shake the market, or even something that is outside our scope.

Nonetheless, We will still see next year.
386  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagpasok ng Tao Sa Crypto on: December 18, 2020, 06:10:52 AM
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP dumped and BTC goes up, coincidence ? on: December 17, 2020, 03:15:17 PM
What do you mean? XRP is doing great in the market right now. You can check coingecko or coinmarketcap that XRP has gained almost 20% today so your theory kinda doesn't make sense. Though I haven't invested in XRP since I'm all for Bitcoin and gold right now.

388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful at this BITCOIN price point on: December 17, 2020, 02:28:13 PM
Most of the people jump to invest when they see this kind of scenario in the crypto market, that's where most people regret the last 2017 bull runs.

I agree to this, there's just so many scammers in twitter, telegram, facebook, and even discord right now due to the ongoing all-time high breaking of Bitcoin.

During 2017, scam ICO and Bitconnect was the reason why people regretted buying Bitcoin. Right now, there's no large scale pyramid scams going on that could be a comparison to Bitconnect so I don't think 2017 dump will ever happen again and we might even reach $30,000 easily due to hype and support of large companies.
389  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ATH na ba? on: December 17, 2020, 06:27:15 AM
Sakto talaga yung chart na every 4 years may bagong all-time high ang Bitcoin.

Ingat lang, wag greedy, learn to take profit kung kailangan, wag maniwala sa FOMO, learn from past experience, yun long.

ENJOY the bull run!

Ang price ng Bitcoin ngayon ay $21,962.55 batay sa talaan ng CMC... it's up by 13.20% in the last 24 hours.

390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub now accepting Monero on: December 15, 2020, 08:35:36 AM
Looks like the adult industry is now accepting cryptocurrency, never thought that they already accepting a variety of cryptocurrency not just Monero and Bitcoins the cryptocurrency is really spreading now that's really nice.
But anything related to porn is still prohibited in many countries, including my country, Indonesia. The government continues to block pornographic sites, including PornHub. Yes, I see there are some adult projects accept Cryptocurrency, there are even bounty projects are porn / adult based.

That's the reason why VPN exist, it's to bypass the restrictions in your country. Having them integrate Monero to their service would make people in the countries like yours flock pornhub again because of the anonymous nature of the said cryptocurrency, assuming they want to use Monero for the benefits.

Anyways, we now have at least 2 giant companies that has making significant leap in adopting cryptocurrencies.
391  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Manny Pacquiao to roll out payment platform "PacPay" in 2021! on: December 14, 2020, 04:22:58 AM

392  Local / Pamilihan / Re: What If on: December 12, 2020, 03:55:57 AM
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop by if you are a PayPal user on: December 10, 2020, 09:54:09 AM
There was actually a user last month who got blocked for trading Bitcoin in Paypal. here's an article about that user. I think the thing here is that Paypal doesn't really care much about cryptocurrency except getting the name "Bitcoin" to attract attention and create hype. Look at the impact, their stocks rose because of Bitcoin. It really sucks that they aren't really helping with adoption since you really can't do anything, though they helped with advertising.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my curiosity on: December 08, 2020, 07:20:03 AM
I just checked this project. It seems that the twitter is still active even today.

I saw a post from yesterday about Hhampuz pausing the bounty campaign of this project, it seems that there's an internal issue going on right now. I'm confused though because they are still posting in their twitter. I don't know if that's just part of the facade but I would trust Hhampuz since he is one of the most reputable member in this forum.

It still sucks though because they really fooled Hhampuz if they somehow really are a scammer.
395  Other / Meta / Re: BITCOINTALK FORUM NEEDS A DEFI SUB-BOARD on: December 07, 2020, 09:58:15 AM
You're wasting time by doing that. DeFi don't have that much conversation anyway and it will loss it's popularity overtime, just like ICO and IEO. It's not the talk of the town anymore. Stop exaggerating it as if it's the most important cryptocurrency concept in the world. If you want, you can create your dedicated DeFi forum, which I doubt will get attention anyway.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on bitcoin holder tax from Indian government Income Tax on: December 07, 2020, 08:40:24 AM
This is probably the reason why they lift the ban in Bitcoin, so that instead of stopping Bitcoin from overtaking them, they are just going to milk the poor investors so that they either stop using cryptocurrencies, hide from the authority, or comply with that absurd tax.

But hey look at the bright side. At least one more country supports cryptocurrencies now. Who knows, maybe 30% might not come true at all since people are just anticipating it anyway.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of ETH2.0 Scammers on: December 06, 2020, 08:49:54 AM
27 ETH isn't something small. Like how can they just put their money without even doing their proper research? But if twitter complied to the authorities demands, they might somehow track the scammers since they are verified in twitter, obviously they twitter have the data to that account's owner. Nonetheless, that tweets timing was so perfect though. It's like they've been waiting just for this moment.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2020, 07:15:49 AM
There are 3 options for you:

1. You either use it and don't get caught by the authorities (there are ways to hide your usage or identity in the internet nowadays)

2. Stop using Bitcoin (not recommended if you really like using Bitcoin instead of the traditional fiat)

3. Go to another country that accepts Bitcoin (Philippines is one of the example that is very open to cryptocurrency or Bitcoin)

There you go. You don't need to explain things because they won't listen to you anyway.
399  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ATH na ba? on: December 05, 2020, 04:01:52 AM

Lagi naman yan tuwing all-time high.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 04, 2020, 02:56:37 PM
Just make a separate email account for bounty hunting to avoid getting spammed from your main one.

I'm glad that some bounty hunters are doing this though because I could distinguish either if they can be trusted or not. As you can see, you will noticed that there's a significant difference between a professional manager and a newbie one just by looking at their spreadsheet.
