381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips] Ways to Protect Recovery Phrase - Mnemonic on: March 29, 2022, 11:34:04 PM
What about storing it in two different password managers and splitting them and only accessing each part of one in a separate computer in case one computer might have malware?

382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: March 29, 2022, 11:28:03 PM
Would you say there is a big difference between this vs stocks?  Since someone can't just hack your stock account and withdraw it to their bank account?
383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Send untraceable and anonymous payment on: March 29, 2022, 11:25:59 PM
So isnt the ip address going to prevent it from anonymous?  But what if you use publc wifi but use a vpn?

What about buying a burner phone and having data on it and using the data as hotspot?
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 Waves Tech - a powerful blockchain-agnostic ecosystem on: March 29, 2022, 11:17:30 PM
Has anyone here staked usdt or usdc in vires finance and earn interest this way?  i am confused why they seem to advertise 50% or even 30% APY on these coins?  But are these the true rates?  Has anyone here did this for a long period of time and can confirm this?  But the rate changes daily?

Because  if this is true, why would anyone not put lot of money into it?  if someone has 100k, they going to earn around 30k a year?  This seems way too much as  i always heard 10% is the max stablecoin rate where it isn't a concern.
385  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What network USDT does Nano Ledger Support? on: March 29, 2022, 10:30:46 PM
Okay so let say i want to buy just 10 dollars worth of usdt on the BSC network.  But how much BNB would i need to buy in order to send the entire 10 dollars worth of usdt on the BSC network to someone else?

What about buying 10 dollars worth of usdt on the Tron network and want to send that to someone else.  How much Tron would i need in order to send that entire amount usdt to someone else?
386  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / What network USDT does Nano Ledger Support? on: March 28, 2022, 07:44:12 PM
I know it would work on the ETH network.  But if you want to store USDT on say BSC BEP20 or Tron network... can you do that?

If not, what s good wallet to store usdt on the BSC BEP20 or Tron network?  The other issue would be besides having usdt on that network, you also need the other coin to pay for sendng fees right?  What would be the coin for BSC BEP20?  I know t would be tron for tron.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 27, 2022, 07:36:56 PM
For those people who are long term holders of btc or any crypto, do you have a plan of when you would sell it?  I am talking about the coins you are holding long term and not trading or selling short term etc.  Such that if you have a set amount of btc or crypto where you are holding long term.

Imagine someone with 5 btc which is a lot of money.  That is a lot of money even in first world countries but that isn't even enough to buy a house in many cities in a first world country.  But do people here have plans like okay the moment my btc or crypto is worth x amount of money, then I will cash out some part of it or everything?

Now if someone has say 1 btc, they surely need btc to be at least mid 6 figures to even think about cashing it out if they want to think about retiring in a first world country?  I know everyone wants more money but if you have a few million dollars, that is more than enough for anyone even in a first world country to retire.  Having a million dollars in the US however doesn't make you rich anymore though from what I read.  But with people talking about price targets, it depends on how many btc you own for btc.  So even if btc went to 500k, well if you only have 0.1 btc, well you are not rich.  But someone with 5 btc is going to be rich.

The other thing is if someone has that much money, wouldn't it make sense for them to sell all their btc and basically invest in stablecoin and just earn passive income from it?  Imagine someone with 5 btc and btc goes to 500k.  That is 2.5 million dollars.  After tax, let say they still have at least 1.5 million.  But assuming they were holding long term, this number probably would be a bit higher?  But let say use 1.5 million dollars after taxes.  If that person takes 1 million dollars and then go buy a stablecoin like usdt and stake it on nexo or blockfi or gemini and earn at least 8%... they would earn 80k-100k a year in passive income in that stablecoin which they could then immediately turn it to fiat and cash to their bank account.  That is more than enough to live on assuming you do not have crazy expenses.

Now obviously someone could also do staking of stablecoins if they earn a lot of money from stocks or real estate or whatever it maybe.  But wouldn't that be the smart thing to do if someone has that much money?  Putting money in a regular bank account make zero sense since you don't even earn 1 percent from it... more like 0.01 percent.  Also from what I read, with real estate, sure you earn money buying a house and renting it out but you gotta handle repairs and so many other things.  So it seems like putting money into stablecoins is the way to go assuming one has a good amount of money no matter where they earned it from?
388  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: March 27, 2022, 07:22:59 PM
Any good signup bonuses at the moment?  If you sign up for it and then clear the rollover and then withdraw, would there be issues?  I use to do that with books a while back but these were offshore books who used fiat and not btc.
389  Other / Beginners & Help / What Happens If You Send Btc At Same Time on 2 Different Devices? on: March 27, 2022, 07:07:35 PM
Example with say 1 btc.  Say it is in a hardware wallet.  You also then enter the seed phrase in another hardware wallet or it could be a software wallet.

Now let say you ask a friend to help you with this.  Basically both of you at the same time go in the process of trying to send that same 1 btc to another wallet address.   Thus each of you would send it to a different address.  Of course both of these addresses would be addresses that you own.  So imagine during this process where you both click next at the same time.  You both then copy the btc address you want to send to.  Now when at the confirmation screen and it ask you to confirm, both of you click yes at the same exact time.

First off... I assume both wallets could get to the last part of confirming the receiving address before sending?  Now the moment it is sent... only one of the two transactions will go through correct?  If so, how would you know which one it would be?  Assuming you use the same sending fee... what happens?  Is it a matter of luck?  If one uses a higher sending fee than the other... then the higher sending fee would go through and not the other one?  So what happens after few minutes then when you check the blockchain transaction of each one?  Would one show confirmation but the other doesn't?  Would both eventually show at least one confirmation?  Would one of the transactions even get rejected the moment both of you click send?  What if you click send btc... but your friend takes a few seconds later to send btc?  Does that mean your transaction will work but his doesn't?  What if you send it first with a low transaction fee but he sends it just few seconds later with a very high transaction fee?  Does that matter?  I remember there was that replace by fee with electrum that was talked about... does that apply to this?

I heard this is actually called a double spend... is that correct?  So basically some people who want to scam would say okay I send you btc and then they send it... but they also send btc to another address at same time?  So they might send you the transaction id for you to check on blockchair to see the confirmations?  But the transaction they send to you... which they want cancelled... it would still show one or two confirmations... before it eventually will get rejected?  Is that how it works?

I remember someone mentioned if its small amounts you receive you only need one or two confirmations.  If it's medium amount you want at least three confirmations.  But if its high amounts, you want like 6 confirmations or something like that?  So how many confirmations minimum do you need before you know a transaction cannot be cancelled?  Obviously you don't want to see a confirmation and then you send the other person money or deposit cash in their bank account only to later find out the transaction got rejected.

Now what if it was two different devices but you are both sending it to the same btc address?  What happens there?
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive Income From Staking Stablecoins? on: March 27, 2022, 06:34:45 PM
But if someone had a million dollars, what is the risk of putting everything into gemini then?  They seem to be the most trusted out of all the other places like nexo, blockfi etc?  They offer 8%.  I heard the main concern would be if genesis goes broke but if something like that happens, then everything would collapse right?

The other issue is what about your account security such as hacking?  And I do not mean gemini getting hacked.  I mean on your end.  How would you protect yourself from hacks?  But if gemini got hacked, would any GUSD you have in your account safe or not?  I heard its FDIC insured up to a quarter million dollars I believe but this is only on fiat balance on gemini right but also it has to be a hack on gemini end?
391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious regarding highly rated apps on: March 25, 2022, 09:28:39 PM
Then how do you know an app is legit then?

How do you do this with new apps that you never downloaded ever then?
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where can I buy USDT on BSC Bep 20 or Tron Network? on: March 25, 2022, 08:42:41 PM
So if i have only access to coinbase and gemini, then i have to use those anonymous crypto exchanges?  Again I cannot use any exchanges due to my location.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 25, 2022, 08:40:43 PM
I don't have any experience with usdt which is why I ask these questions.  I had thought when you send usdt, it would deduct usdt as the fee.  Then I found out that wasn't how it works.

So for small amounts if you want to send, it only makes sense to use bsc and tron then correct?
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious regarding highly rated apps on: March 25, 2022, 08:39:24 PM
Has there been cases where apps are have tons of views/ratings to make it look like legit?
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Where can I buy USDT on BSC Bep 20 or Tron Network? on: March 22, 2022, 10:54:38 PM
I want to get some usdt on either of these networks.  Reason is because I want to send a few tiny payments.  By tiny payments...  i mean like 5 dollars and under and thus sending usdt via ETH makes no sense due to the fees.

I have access to coinbase and gemini.

Does this mean if I get usdt in the BSC Bep 20 network... I need that coin to pay my fee?  What coin would that be?

Also what has me confused is say I get usdt in Tron network.  When you want to send usdt in tron network to someone... do you need to make two separate transactions?  One is sending the Tron fee first... and then send the usdt in the tron network?  Do you make each payment one after another to the usdt tron address you are sending to?

Would I just get btc and then use one of those anonymous crypto services like changelly to do this?  Or fees are very high if I'm doing a small amount?

I just took a look at those anonymous crypto exchanges and the issue is if I'm doing a tiny amount, they are giving you a ridiculous low price on whatever coin you are trading for usdt tron or usdt BSC Bep 20 ?

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 22, 2022, 07:30:19 PM
That is what I read as well.  So what exchange can I use then?  The issue is I can't use other exchanges due to where I'm from.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 22, 2022, 06:49:02 PM
What exchange can I get Usdt from the Binance Smart Chain or Tron if the only exchanges I can use is coinbase and gemini?
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 21, 2022, 10:55:49 PM
So how many total USDT networks are there?

ETH is most expensive

Tron and BSC BEP 20 is cheaper

Then there is talk about BUSD?  BUSD isn't tether correct?  Then people talk about Solana and Matic... which I'm confused what is it?  I heard of solana but these are also usdt coins?  How many usdt networks are there total then?

So for people that want to send usdt a lot but small amounts, what is the preferred network?  BSC BEP 20 or Tron?
399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious regarding highly rated apps on: March 21, 2022, 08:15:24 PM
Is this possible on the IOS?  When I download a new app, I usually look at how many downloads it has and then look at some of the recent reviews.  But the most important thing is the number of downloads.  So could that be manipulated or not?

Because the fake apps you would see very few downloads and few reviews.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 21, 2022, 07:58:08 PM
Okay so how many networks are there with USDT?  Is it this below or not?  I heard algo and solana as well but those are different?

ETH
Tron
BNB
BSC
BSC Bep20

So if you are receiving USDT from someone, it will most likely come from the ETH network unless otherwise stated?

Now if are planning to buy or receive USDT and want to send it with the cheapest fee possible, you want the USDT on which network?  Either Tron or BSC Bep20?  Can someone here quickly summarize the exact or approximate fees for each USDT right now when sending?  I know ETH is far the most expensive.  But USDT on the BSC Bep20 network is only 10 cents?  So why do people all not use that one then?

Now let say you want to send small amounts to other people... imagine between 1 to 5 dollars worth of USDT.  You should be using  BSC Bep20 since its only 10 cents fee?  But let say you received USDT on the BSC Bep20  network.  If you want to send it to someone... which coin do you you need in order to pay this fee?  Because if you have USDT on ETH or Tron network I know you need ETH or Tron to pay the fees.  But what about the other ones?

Also this has me confused.  Whether you send usdt on ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20 network, you need to make two transactions?  Thus you need to first send the sending fee in ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20 first to to that USDT address you are sending to?  Then after that, you send the amount you want to send?  Or how does that work since I found out this is actually two transactions you have to make when sending usdt?

Imagine wanting to send just 5 dollars usdt to someone on ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20.  How would you do this?  Also what token you need for the BSC Bep20?

The other thing that is confusing is this.  Most networks use USDT only on the ETH network.  If that is the case, how would someone turn their USDT on the Tron or BSC Bep20 network into fiat in an exchange then?  Let say they have access to coinbase and gemini etc.  Imagine someone wants to turn their 500 usdt on Tron or BSC Bep20 to fiat on coinbase or gemini.  How would they do that since coinbase usdt is ETH and I believe gemini doesn't even offer usdt?

Also what exchanges have usdt in all networks?
