381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: November 04, 2020, 02:03:54 PM
First I think we need new projects but not all new projects are needed, let me explain. We need new innovative projects that will bring solutions that will be of help to humanity and not some hyped projects whose team are just out to steal from people. There have been many projects last year which are dead now in the same way, there are many this year which were created because of Defi but they are a shadow of themselves now. Also, remember some of the genuine projects we have today were once new projects, but owing to what they offered they are still working, so it means that before investing in a "promising" project do well to carry out your own research and be sure it is not a hype project but an innovative one with good solutions.
Secondly, since there will be new projects everyday, in the same way there will be scam projects and genuine ones, so let's try our best to stop feeding scammers and their scam projects.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unacceptable attitudes from new project teams on: November 04, 2020, 01:52:42 PM
Truth be told, it is an unacceptable attitude but what can anyone do? Because at every instance they will draw you back to the rules and regulations guiding the bounty which you a bounty hunter agreed to before participating. And one thing about rules is that, sometimes it favours only the person that set the rules, while the other party are left in the dark; what I meant is this, a team will delay reward and also quote the rules that they can change the distribution and so on, and the same team will still go ahead to pay deaf ears to hunters thus refusing to pay, refusing to give a date for distribution, reducing the rewards terribly and also blocking the hunters from their groups. So you can see, they set the rules, they implement it and also break it just to suit them.
So that brings us to one solution, escrow, if all bounty managers can make it compulsory to escrow there is a higher chance that they team won't at least refuse to pay; therefore Yes, escrow is needed.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hurray! Binance did it again on: November 04, 2020, 01:43:15 PM
Binance win another battle against wine swap scammer that steal over 300k worth of cryptocurrency in October, check the link down below for full news. All affected personal will be refund soon

https://www.coindesk.com/binance-recovers-344k-from-defi-exit-scam-that-launched-on-its-platform

Binance and binance teams are one of a kind to crypto space honestly, I wish them more success

Every day, Binance keeps proving it is the best exchange in the crypto space, ranging from good volume, to large users/traders, professional teams, fiat support, advanced user interface and many more. This also shows that to an extent, a hack can be tracked and crypto recovered as well and of course Binance team has taken the lead in that as well. One thing I have comes to understand about the Binance team is that, they are always eager to take steps that will keep them ahead of other exchanges in this way convincing users that they are reliable. Lastly, as it stands, I do not think there is an exchange that can overtake Binance in any way.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Awesome DeFi Yield Farming program by Sentivate (400%+ APYs) on: November 03, 2020, 11:13:33 PM
It seems it is kind of right to say that some of these DeFi projects have some things in common with Ponzi schemes but in a more improved way, and as with Ponzi, it do not last because as soon as the team gets satisfied different excuses and stories will be heard and that will be the end.
It is actually easy to attract people with good promises, APY or whatever; now looking at all these high interest from Defi projects, one will ask how sustainable is this, as there are many that have failed their investors after all the promises and so on. Therefore, having known all these I can't recommend anything to anyone because it looks the team are out to enrich themselves, just like the others before it.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH network under congestion now? on: November 03, 2020, 10:56:12 PM
Ethereum blockchain is great but this congestion of a thing can be really annoying especially when you are in a haste.
I did a transaction today and it was smooth. Normally, trust wallet sets high gas fee or rather trust wallet sets the appropriate gas fee to ensure the transaction goes smoothly, but for whatever reason and the transaction gets stuck and you need to cancel, just initiate another transactions but in this case do not touch the gas fee, let is be as set by trust wallet.
Also, just to add as well, Trust wallet also supports USDT on TRC 20 chain, and USDT transactions on TRC 20 is free; just in case of next time, you can try it, it is also faster.

387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto-powered social network a trend? on: November 02, 2020, 10:23:28 PM
Steemit is definitely the most popular in the crypto space and till date no other has succeeded in beating it. However, talking about trends in the crypto space, it is something that happens often and most times the projects that starts the trend are the legit ones because the idea in the onset is unique but then, others that comes after, a good number of them are just there to follow the hype and scam; this case scenario can be likened to that of social network trends. Now currently, it is Defi projects although the hype is diminishing some are still coming up, out of which few are genuine as well.
Furthermore, I think it will be difficult for people to stop using Facebook, Twitter etc for a crypto based social network, this is because those platforms has stood the test of time and hence having massive users, not only that, they keep improving to sustain their growth. However, it can still be possible if the crypto based social network will offer exceptional services.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Better using DAI or USDT? on: November 02, 2020, 10:06:44 PM
I think this depends on the one that is most convenient to you, what I mean is this, considering Ethereum gas fees, cashing out via USDT but through TRC chain would be a better option since there is no transaction fee. However, about the USDT centralized nature, it is actually true that a wallet can be frozen when found wanting but since you said cashing out and not holding then I think USDT is better also, but if it is about holding then the other is better since it is decentralized. In addition, I think the reason why most people uses USDT irrespective of the presence of a central authority is that, it has huge volume and also, the most prominent as well.

390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: November 01, 2020, 08:24:25 PM
Most times I dump my coins because I no longer believe in the team or in their capabilities to grow the platform. This particular reason was borne out of the fact that some tokens I once held with the believe that the team are hardworking tends to be a bad experience for me because the team were not after the betterment of the platform but theirs. Also, i am in the same category with your reason, and that is, I dump my coins or tokens because I want to buy coins that have potential such as Bitcoin and so on. Lastly, considering the nature of most projects nowadays, it is a good idea to be strategic and/or dumping at the right time.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess bounty hunters really kill projects on: November 01, 2020, 08:17:55 PM
When you work for someone, a company or a platform and gets paid, you decide what to do with it. If bounty hunters kills projects, why then are project teams still coming for their services or promotions?. That a token dumps in price after bounty distribution is not hunters faults, they are only selling the reward for their promotions. Come to think of it, what about projects that refused to send bounty tokens at the right time and in the cause of that, leads to dump in price and then they pays wherein the reward is now very low, when hunters sell at that low reward and hence causing more price dump, will you blame them? No.
Also, there are still projects that distributed their bounty tokens and yet the price was not too affected. Therefore, no matter how we look at it, the problems is not from bounty hunters neither do they kill projects. The team should channel their energy into making sure their project is worth it, and this way having more investors.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your own research before opting-in on: October 31, 2020, 09:34:52 PM
Just as someone needs to research on every project before investing, in the same way and energy, there is need to study every bounty before joining in order not to waste your time. Talking about scam projects, it can be any project, be it  DeFi or otherwise, but with DeFi being the latest trend, there is need to be careful because the higher attention is still on it. Also, Defi stands for Decentralized Finance thus making the project team to act anonymous, but this can also be bad because exit scams can easily happen, groups deleted and the community will be left in the dark with no one to hold accountable. Nevertheless, although there are good DeFi projects out there, however it is also important to study any of them thoroughly before participating be it in bounty or otherwise.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: October 31, 2020, 09:25:14 PM
Almost all projects are cheating and refusing to give tokens at the end of bounty management. It's really sad that hunters work hard but they don't get tokens as a rule..

When the bounty is over, the team is making new plans so that they can easily escape by cheating.

I would like to say to all professional managers that Escrowed is very important and all of you should follow it.

Just in my opinion
Otherwise
1. Hunter will decrease
2. Team cheating step will increase

There is no doubt this is a very good idea which will make sense if adopted by bounty managers, but the issue is, will the project team agree? Although there are bounty managers that do escrow the bounty rewards, there are still others that do not, and when asked they always say the team refused, and this same team will still refuse to pay when the time reach or even delay the distribution, and in most case the price will become worthless before they distribute.
What baffles me is that, they always use the excuse of bounty hunters dumping the price of the token, thus either delaying the distribution or coming up with ridiculous changes, but yet the price still dumps despite not distributing to hunters which also shows the team might not be trustworthy.
So considering all the wrongs that has been done to hunters, I agree with you, there is need to escrow tokens so that all parties will be happy, and if the team are afraid of price dump, stablecoins can also be used instead.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Harvest Finance loses 34 million due to bug/hack on: October 30, 2020, 10:30:26 AM
To be frank all these news about Defi hacks or bugs or whatever the team are calling it is really not a good one for the entire DeFi ecosystem, an ecosystem which is believed to offer outstanding decentralized financial services. That is, how can people trust more Defi projects when bugs exists and hackers keeps finding loopholes in their platform thus exploiting them. I think other DeFi projects should learn from all these and work on their platforms to be more secure; on one hand, Defi hype is going out and on the other hand, hackers are hacking DeFi projects, it is really bad.
I don't know how the Harvest Finance team will do it about their users, but as for the funds it is too much and they might not recover it. Nevertheless, let's hope the team achieve their aim with the bounty.

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KIN will be the best investment of our generation on: October 28, 2020, 11:03:45 PM
There are many projects which had good whitepapers, good websites and even claimed to be the next big deal, the best coin to hold and so on, yet some exited scam while some struggled to grow before dying, in fact the list is endless.
I don't know much about this project but saying that, this project will be the best investment of our generation is what I can't really understand or accept, we have Bitcoin which has been the best till today, followed by Ethereum all which has been around for a long time and to me, they are the best investment.
So before Investing in any project or saying the project is the best, try and understand that a lot of new projects are of questionable characters, and until they trade for along time while still maintaining their platform development, then will the project in question be valuable.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to invest in Polkadot? on: October 28, 2020, 10:48:15 PM
Most times i think it is good giving a project enough time to develop before thinking of holding long term, this is because of the untrustworthy nature of most projects nowadays, just a random thought.
Although Polkadot is a good project with many projects onboard it already, but how far do we think it can get, considering the fact it got much attention this year. What about when the going gets tough, just like in the case of other blockchains that were claiming to be better than Ethereum, will upcoming or already existing projects still find it good for launching on?.
Nevertheless, considering its unique features which I find attractive and in my own opinion, i will keep watching it to know the right time to get involved, but not likely now because i need to see how committed the team are towards their goals from next year.

399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Game lover ? Have you invested for a gaming project ?? on: October 27, 2020, 10:47:44 PM
I remember vividly that there were many gaming projects which had a good public sale but yet failed to deliver as promised. Also, I can't really point out any blockchain gaming project which is working today or one which the users are really playing their games. The truth is, the game in the outside world is more advanced while that of the blockchain space is yet growing, thus Instead of some of these game projects team to come up with something good, they exited scam or failed which then keeps dragging blockchain gaming back. So until, developers are ready to work as well as being serious, they will continue failing.
Lastly, I don't know about this particular gaming platform, but just like others, if the team relent, the platform will fail but if they continue working, there is very tendency it will get the right attention and hence keeps growing.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: October 27, 2020, 10:38:46 PM
This is just true, airdrops nowadays are not worth it in any way, or better still those that are worth it are just few in number and hardly comes out like others. The current thread you described is right as well, this is because by checking the twitter page, you will realized that the date of creation is just recent, also checking the telegram group, you will also realize that, the group is just new and lacks any tangible Information about the proposed project. Another thread I want to add is, creating of token with limited supply so as to make it look catchy, this of course will attract people who believes the token will pump easily on listing thus participating in the pre sale.
Therefore, in my own opinion, it is right time to be careful of most airdrops nowadays, some asks for ETH as gas fees and some might even ask for private keys.
