Hi punin, thanks for your engagement here.
Just to be totally clear, you are saying that, at this point in time, there are no machines anywhere hashing with your new chip?
I can't help noticing that your share of total hash power increased sharply recently too.
That is correct. We have just a handful of chips right now and all are used for R&D and profiling including occasional rapid unscheduled disassembly as we look for the limits of the chip . We are expecting the engineering lots in a few weeks time. Luckily our schedule was not affected by the recent Taiwan earthquake. Our total hash power has increased due to our Gldani immersion cooling datacenter getting to full capacity. So the immersion facility is using 28nm ATM? Ugh. Going to hurt like hell when 16nm chips replace all of those 28nm. Yikes.

Does this pool pay uncles?
Is that high diff us proxy port coming?
Ocminer, can you keep the thread title in line with what you're actually paying bonus wise? Should read 1% now, not 20%.

Im not suggesting he isnt who he says he is at all here. I looked back through his posting history and seen a few small gaps(may have been busy some days who knows). With the latest fiasco that happened wit master-P and all the account sales i see, its only fair for anyone who wants to run a service show that they control the account. Dont put words in anyones mouth there. Its just a basic protection for all parties involved
Sure. All I'm saying, is that I know for a fact his account isn't sold or compromised.

I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him. I've met him IRL a few times, and speak to him regularly VIA SMS. His account is not compromised as was suggested by yahoo62278.

Are any of you guys still making profits from these new S7s. The difficulty change is killing the mined satoshis.
If you want to acheive faster ROI you should try kano.is. The rewards are uncomperable with other pools. How come everyone started blasting the kano pool on every thread? I've had miners pointed there, I like the pool, but luck is luck. Kano is very comparable to other pools. Since the pool started it is ~6% above the expected luck over about a year and a half. Thats good but not insane. And it will level out over a long enough time frame. There have been bad streaks and there will be again. They just went for about day now without a block when they should have found about 5 by this point. It isn't complicated; It's the best option there is for pooled mining by a good stretch. When people find good things, they often want to share them ie let people know. Your numbers are wrong, BTW.

Going to be getting an S4 soon and was wondering how you guys have dealt with the noise? I know you can underclock it but that kind of defeats the object of it. Not got to worry too much about ambient temps as I'm in the uk and rarely gets above 25c in summer.
I currently have two s3's under my desk in my room and can quite easily sleep with those on all the time so just wondering what the s4 is like in comparison.
Thanks.
--bitmain-homemode That will slow the fans down. Never had any issues with running them that way, and the temps arent an issue.

Good job on the video. You can skip the resistor and the complicated time delayed setup and just solder a small wire to the pins to short them out. That's all that is needed to power them on.

This pool is just ridiculous.... LOL @ anyone mining anywhere else but here.
Rock on!

Why is it that some blocks we get much smaller rewards? Some examples below. Is it the difference in the transmission fees??
Block Block UTC Miner Reward 396558 3/Feb 22:51 24.80513300 393929 18/Jan 22:31 24.79041611
ive wondered this also There's this amazing technology called bitcoin. You should read about it. Apparently it allows an entire economy to be run through a peer 2 peer network making it possible to transmit currency to anywhere in the world for a tiny transaction fee. That transaction fee only ever gets large when there is a lot of money being exchanged on the peer 2 peer network. See how different peoples' understanding of bitcoin would be if they focused on and understood the economy first instead of thinking about it as a way to make money out of thin air through mining? Amen.

Is there any reason why when I browse any thread in the pools section of the forum except for this Kano pool thread my browser shows a green secure lock, verified, etc., but when I browse page 488 of this thread (and no other page) the security reports as unverified / yellow lock? It only happens with viewing this one page of this one thread. Strange.
Same here. Odd. Edit: BLOCK!!!!!

Still earning 25% less than I should be, whether using proxy or not. Back to solo I go.
Just curious, which calculator are you using? This one seems to be pretty accurate, it takes orphans into consideration: http://karldiab.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/Thanks for the link, that seems much closer to what I was seeing on the pool. I never thought to consider orphans, since I've never had one as far as I can tell while solo mining in over 450 blocks. I was using: http://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculatorGot lucky after going back to solo, hit 2 blocks and an uncle within an hour of switching.

Weird how the luck suddenly increases when the hash rate goes up ... /sarcasm Plenty of idiots who don't understand how mining works, I suppose.

Question for pool op... I only earned 26 ETH in the last 24h, vs 35 expected. I'm using the proxy on the US port. I'd like to use the high diff port, but my ping to US is 10ms vs 95ms to high diff. That has quite an impact considering the fast block times, I imagine. First question; why am I earning considerably less than I should statistically, and second question would it be possible to open a US high diff port?
Thx
