41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Binance? on: August 08, 2021, 06:44:04 PM
A platform like Binance has grown so much over the years, built their platform and/or exchange to stand out among others, implemented a lot of services which are beneficial to users like peer-to-peer transactions and so on, therefore I think for a platform whose team have put in a lot of efforts, time and resources, they will only keep moving forward while looking for better ways to remedy any issues coming up. The truth is, most big cooperations today once in a while face issues, but their ability to overcome is what makes them strong, Binance has come to far to fail, and the team are not willing to let all their efforts go to waste and that's the truth.
All these are coming up after the massive bull run, one might even ask why, they are done with fudding BTC now back to Binance since it is the biggest exchange today.
Nevertheless, it has been said time without number that keeping funds on centralized exchanges is not the best way, this is one of the first things to learn nonetheless, so therefore let people imbibe the habit of keeping funds outside exchanges, but as for Binance, it is going nowhere in my opinion and nothing will happen to it.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in cryptocurrencies. on: August 07, 2021, 07:18:37 AM
Some say cryptocurrency is a low risk investment but high return and also does this digital currency have a fundamental value so that it is feasible for investment?
What do you think ?

The project you invest in, will determine if it is a high risk investment with high return, a high risk investment with a low return (or no return), a low risk investment with a high return or a low risk investment with a no return; it all depends on the project.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance coins for example are low risk investment with high return, but this high return will depend on if you are willing to hold for long, and considering most people who invest in them are long term holders makes it interesting for them.
The high risk with high return can also turn to high risk with no return at all, which have been seen in new projects which are only following the hype, they just list and exit scam within a short time.
So before you consider buying or investing in any coin or token, make sure to understand the coin and know the potential risks involved, this will help to protect your investment in that coin; most people only stick to already trading coins with good team while others prefer to try their luck with every new tokens just getting started with the idea of entering early and getting out quick.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Criteria for Choosing Alt-coins to Invest In on: August 07, 2021, 07:09:50 AM
Altcoins investment is one of the integral part of cryptocurrency investment since the altcoin boom of 2017, so many altcoin projects have come up some are successful and are still available in the trading market while others are simply pumped and dumped and are no longer trading. This drive me to the conclusion that investing in altcoin is one of the most risky aspect in cryptocurrency investment, and many newbies and even experienced Crypto investors have fallen victim for some of the failed and scam alt-coins projects.

Now NFTs is the wave of the moment and this has prompted me to want to know what are the criteria a project most meet before considering it as a potential project that will guarantee a good return on investment in the long run.

your views are welcome and you can list out projects you feel are good for investment.

The criteria of investing in NFT projects are still same with other projects and it all starts from what you know about the project; what you know about a project goes further into knowing their team, products and services (if any) and so on. So by removing hype, or paying no attention to hype, one can be able to know a great deal about a project.
About the potential of a project, means knowing what the team has worked on already, and which is why most people always wait till a project gets listed watch the team's expertise towards the project before buying.
Therefore I would say, if you find it hard investing in a new startup NFT project due to the team not looking good to you, you can pay attention to those already listed.
Apart from NFT projects, there are still good projects out there like staking tokens such as CAKE.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments prohibit developers from creating a new coin? on: August 07, 2021, 07:00:51 AM
As crypto/Blockchain tech becomes more popular, mainstream banks and governments will be forced to take action against this emerging industry to stop its growth worldwide. They don't want to people to use crypto on top of Fiat, so we'll be seeing new tactics from said entities in order to destroy crypto for good. One of those tactics could be either banning people from trading crypto at a centralized exchange or simply prosecuting developers of a cryptocurrency project. I believe the latter option is much easier and effective for governments to put an end to crypto for good. Before devs will be able to launch a new cryptocurrency, they're going to need governments' approval. Otherwise, they could face serious consequences in the long run.

Thoughts? Huh

Innovation drives a country as well as attracting more investors which in turn leads to more economic growth of a country in a way. In the case of crypto projects, remember most of them are based in different countries, and there is no way they will operate without the right regulations of that country which of course will include tax, that is to say, all these countries crypto projects are based on pay taxes which adds to the revenue of the country, and since most countries like taxes I don't think they will prohibit any new startup crypto project.
Also, in the issue of crypto being used more than fiat, I also don't think it will happen, the question is, how many offline businesses are accepting crypto? How many even know much about it? Therefore my opinion is, both crypto and fiat will know their place in all countries, both will exist along each other but however fiat will also reign over crypto since it is backed by the government.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DERO is the next 1000X on: August 06, 2021, 09:28:10 AM
I would like to point out that, no one can actually say how many x10 or x1000 a coin will do, I have seen a lot of good projects with amazing features still struggle for a while, some even months before they start growing or increasing in price, now assuming most people bought earlier with such mindset of x100 and it doesn't do so, many will dump.
So what I am trying to drive at is this, it is good to state the features of a coin, the working products, the team and their efforts towards the project and why the project will do well on the long run, and not it will be the next X100 this or X1000, you can't predict this space most times.
Also, what actually caught my attention was the DAG consensus of which only few projects are actually using it, however the price so far on coinmarketcap  is quite good and the volume is a bit impressive, nevertheless the team needs to work more to make it stand out therefore attracting more investors.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think will become next Ethereum? on: August 06, 2021, 09:17:42 AM
I will say no coin, just as no coin will become the next Bitcoin, the reason is simple, every coin in this space have their unique features, attributes and use case, and thus they keep working in line with that. Ethereum is the first altcoin with its own blockchain, and a lot of all these other blockchains are still taking a leaf from the Ethereum blockchain, the question is why? But the answer is simple too, you can only copy from someone who is better and know what he is doing, thus they know Ethereum is better; now why comparing any other to it when they already copied from it.
Another one to Look at is Binance, till date their launchpad is still the best, at least a good return is expected when investors participate in it, but for others, can same be said about them?
Therefore, I will still maintain my stand that no other altcoin or blockchain is better than that of Ethereum neither will there be another or next Ethereum, moreover Ethereum team are always working, the London hard fork is done, ETH 2.0 on the way. When you also talk about DeFi, how many are on the Ethereum blockchain and why are they still there? Because they know that what they want is already on Ethereum.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 what to expect on: August 06, 2021, 09:01:05 AM
I think the Ethereum London hard fork is quite different from the forthcoming Ethereum 2.0, I stand to be corrected though. The London hard fork was done to implement some sort of deflationary feature in Ethereum that is coin burn taking place on every transaction and it looks like it has achieved that because I came across a post on the number of Ethereum burned so far after the London hard fork was implemented, however this doesn't go a long way in solving the gas fee issues although it kind of helped.
On the other hand, what I think we should expect in the forthcoming Ethereum 2.0 is the reduction of gas fees and more scalability, and maybe that is why it is taking time to come to effect, but I know it will be worth it at the end.
So, as you can see, both updates are two different things, where one is already in effect and more time needed to see how effective and efficient it is, the other Ethereum 2.0 is yet to be launched but we can just anticipate what to expect. Therefore, I would say it is a good one for the Ethereum ecosystem, as there is more to expect.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best token for staking right now? on: August 04, 2021, 05:28:34 PM
Huh Huh Huh
Where is APY better. What have you heard about Near and whether it is worth staking this token

Staking seems to be one of the good features currently in the crypto space, this is because it has successfully created a sort of passive income for those already leveraging it. However, before one can get involved with staking, it is paramount to know about the coins and/or tokens worthy of such and to a length such person should be a long term holder.
About worthy tokens, because some projects have seen that staking is good, made a lot of developers to launch theirs but the return or gains is not worth it. Secondly, if one is not a long term holder, staking won't make sense to the person, because if the price of the coin falls, such person might be forced to exit.
I have not heard about NEAR staking, but however, a token like CAKE have been doing well for a while now when it comes to staking and the apy so far is encouraging. In addition, CAKE lists good tokens which you can sell whenever you want or hold long term.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Splintershards (SPS) on: August 03, 2021, 10:13:59 AM

Splintershards (SPS) is a new cryptocurrency governance token which will be integrated into the Splinterlands game in order to provide increasing levels of decision-making ability and control over the product to the player-base, asset owners, and other stakeholders.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/splinterlands/

What are your thoughts on Splintershards (SPS)?

"Splinterlands Game" that caught my attention, which shows it is some sort of a Gamified NFT token and if my assumption is right then it might be a good one if the team put in their best. The reason for saying such is rather simple that is, we are already in an NFT trend, and many tokens are already following the trend thus pumping, so therefore if the team are ready to put in unique features and with proper marketing, the project promoted to a larger audience who can appreciate the uniqueness of their platform, use case and active developments, then, the token will stand a chance of following other NFT tokens to pump.
With the condition of the market, what more people needs is good reasons to invest, the hype is already there created by the trend, so if the reasons are there then a better growing chance might be achieved by the project.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake? on: August 03, 2021, 10:03:07 AM
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.

Going down memory lane, I would start from the days of ICO, it was a different case altogether because you can hardly tell which one will be good, there are even some that looked very serious only for the team to list on a bad exchange, price dumped and they left the project. Some don't even bothered to list on any exchange, just delayed listing with the excuse of working on their products and just like that, telegram group was muted or deleted and nothing was heard again. Although IEO corrected the issue to an extent but it was a bit better with IEO.
Now there are many shit coins flying around using the basis of others which pumped heavily, that is for example, a lot now add the name of successful tokens to theirs in order to attract attention and you will just wonder their aim actually; today you see projects adding CAKE, DOGE, SHIBA, etc to their name. Tried once and it ended badly, so I learnt from it and moved on.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: August 03, 2021, 09:50:40 AM
Yes you really did well to explain things to him so that he can make his own decisions.
I would say before  holding a token you need to have a target towards the token at least with all conditions being okay, you will be able to hold towards the target, but if something then happens along the line, and you consider all options but not working out, then you can make the final call; most times life circumstances pushes us into making the decision of selling early.
Nevertheless, I think if you want to sell a token and it's a good one, but yet to reach your target in mind, try your best to explore all options because most tokens have a good way of giving holders amazing gains. But before embracing holding make sure the coin or token is worth holding so that, you don't end up having false hopes. Lastly, be contented and don't be overshadowed with greed, unless it is a coin like BTC or ETH.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: August 02, 2021, 11:49:04 AM
This issue of scams is one hell of an experience, and most times you can hardly tell on which project that will exit scam or the one run by scammers. I think remember there was a project whose team were active, working hard and so on, the project got listed, a little working products and the price was good and as with some projects, the team started paying less attention, and gradually left the project or exited scam. Actually cases like this, are somewhat frequent which is why a lot of people hardly holds most new coins for long, they always dump and watch from the sidelines to see how far the team can go, this will make them evaluate the project and decide if it's good for long term or not.
Also, one need to be very careful of those who hype new projects, a very good number of them don't always last, because once the hype fades, the project dies.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH adoption lately is high on: August 02, 2021, 11:37:21 AM
Although it is a good news but no one can actually verify such claims, moreover if they want to do so, they would do it silently in order not to attract attention and fomo which will pump the price or it could be they have bought low and want to create fomo which will pump the price as they prepare for what the ETH team are working on.
Nevertheless, it is a good news and will drag attention to Ethereum which will push the price further up, and peradventure leading to another bull run which everyone is anticipating.
Furthermore, Ethereum team are always known to work hard silently while what they are working on keeps making ETH more valuable, and I think Ethereum will continue to be in the minds of everyone most especially now they are working hard on actualizing many goals; this has always being seen to reflect on the price growth.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: August 02, 2021, 11:14:49 AM
Irrespective of the coins you want to invest in, there are certain points to look into, bear in mind and research on; the first is always the team and their experiences in that field of the project they are working on, the second is the use case and how possible for it to work and the third is the team and community engagement. I believe with these, at least one can be able to make good investing decisions.
Now with respect to the coins mentioned and the money involved, I would think it is better to stick to just 2 or 3 but preferably 2 strong projects, which can grow fast owing to their working platforms and products; the coins are SOL and ADA, in case of 3, then XLM can fit in.
Lastly, I don't think any much thing have been said about the Xrp case, but would be wise to pay more attention to projects whose team are focused on their goals.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding and taking profits on: August 01, 2021, 05:12:31 PM
From analysis, it has been argued severally that hodlers are winner and earn more profits than traders, this depends on your expertise and where you fall into. The current situation now means that anyone that bought lower and didn't take profit because of greed or another reason will soon be at loss or breakeven if things continue to go down. Now many people are lamenting because they didn't expect this at this time and didn't take profit because they thought the uptrend will last more for better profit. For people that has been here for long knows the cycle and this kind of situation is inevitable. For people that can be patient I think they can still get back to the former or expected profit but this is not guaranteed. In my opinion I think it's better to hodl and take profit at the right time and wait for the dip to buy back more quantities and wait for more profit. This way you earn more profits. What do you feel is best to do when holding a coin, please share your opinions!

Yes that's right, holding and taking profit at the right time is very good, but when is the right time? This is what always keeps people at bay. A lot of people sold a coin, only to see same coin pumping hard within few days, such that what they sold at can't be compared to the price they later met, it was something else.
I would say, one of the thing I learnt in the past bull run is, do not sell the entire token, keep some such that, if the price later goes up after taking profit, you can still have some left to sell again, hence taking another profit.
But however, be sure you are following such projects carefully, to know when to dump everything, in the same way, it also opened up the good projects because they kept pumping with their use case, and when others are down now or dead, those good projects are still out there maintaining a good price.
So the thing is, hold but know when to take profit, and endeavour to leave some, unless you are already contented and wish to leave.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin/ETH replace fiat someday? on: August 01, 2021, 05:02:59 PM
To fight against the control of USD thus create an anchor for people all around the global, or to make transactions apparent in cyber world, Bitcoin was coined by Satoshi(the second one is more valid).
Will the day come when everyone uses Bitcoin in daily payment(supposing new tech is applied to avoid high gas fee) and thus fiat gets abandoned? Or it won't because the amount of Bitcoin is set and all Bitcin is practically manipulated by capitalists...
Obviously , it's nearly impossible for Bitcoin to realize permant and global circulation due to its high price and scarcity, which renders it harder to take the place of fiat but it sounds that ETH is likely to be an anchor and a tool for daily use alike, surpassing BTC is feasible.
They say, if a country is at war or in upheaval, buying Bitcoin is not wise for its high volatility and USD is a better choice.
How do you think Smiley

What I think is Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency will not replace fiat, and that's it. We know the idea behind Bitcoin, which is decentralization and peer-to-peer system of transactions, and we know that in the world out there, no government or country will be glad to give up their centralized power thus won't embrace decentralization, at the same time, peer-to-peer system of transactions removes the middleman, this can't also happen since the government controls the bank.
If you check carefully, you will realise that regulators are already coming in gradually, so what I think is, in as much as the crypto cannot be fully control owing to its nature, fiat and crypto will co-exist, such that one will or can implement the other. Bitcoin has come to stay, definitely the world will only but look for a way to embrace and work with it.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Underestimated Game DeFi projects!!! on: August 01, 2021, 04:54:42 PM
Guys, share projects in the field of Game DeFi or near it. I want to buy tokens, coins of such projects.
It is not a secret that GameFi is a new trend and hype in the field of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance.

I found this project https://smartholdem.io/home
to me it seems interesting, but I'm not sure yet.
Please advise who knows something about him.
It seems to me that he has every chance of success.

You are quite right about Gamified tokens or NFT Gamified tokens, they are already blazing/growing fast nowadays which confirms the fact that their trend is already in. However, I must say with their number increasing daily, it means that those ones created newly might be paid more attention to, since they are yet to experience massive growth or in a more better words, since their market cap is low or will be low at the time of launch, it will offer more opportunities and room for growth, thus more gains.
So weigh your options very well, while also making sure you are going for good ones with good use case.
Nevertheless, those I know are AXS, TLM and ALICE, in the same way I think with time attention will be paid to their NFT marketplaces, you can keep that in mind just in case.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: July 31, 2021, 08:43:41 AM
Bitcoin and ethereum is now increasing the price day by day. How how to choose and invest the coin. Bitcoin or ethereum which is the best future investment and how to invest the coins. Kindly explain me the Bitcoin and ethereum coins deats. Kindly share the link also. Which is best opportunity for invitations coins. Kendriya give me your advice to invest the best coins

To be frank, there is nothing to compare here, Bitcoin is the king and the top cryptocurrency not just because it is the first but because it offers the most decentralized blockchain, secure and reliable, and because of this reliability made a lot of people to value it more than any other crypto; so yes it is the best.
On the part of Ethereum, Ethereum is good as well, in fact it is the most valuable altcoin but I don't think it can be compared to Bitcoin, rather I will say Ethereum knows it's place in the crypto space and thus keeping to it. I have never seen any sort of competition between Ethereum and Bitcoin, in fact no coin is competing with Bitcoin.
In addition, when you see news of most big cooperations buying cryptocurrency, which coin do they mostly buy? Bitcoin, because they know it can be trusted while on the other hand, when you see most cooperation looking for a blockchain to work on, they mostly go for Ethereum because it offers the best smart contracts; so you can see there is no competition between them, so no need for comparison.
Thus, you can invest in both or any of them depending on your capital.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of crypto on: July 31, 2021, 08:33:50 AM
China is always two steps ahead of all other countries in terms of future tech and I think the reason why they ban crypto miners is because of their CBDC but what will happen if other countries later follow the same steps? Will this put crypto in trouble?

In as much as they are trying to protect their digital currency, but one will ask, how people will even use it the way they use Bitcoin? A user in China can send Bitcoin to anyone in the world but can same be said of their digital yuan, so that means in addition to having a digital yuan people will also hold Bitcoin since it offers them no sort of restrictions. Also, since they banned miners, what have happened to Bitcoin? It is still here and rather other regions have started embracing miners which means that there are still a lot of countries that understands what Bitcoin offers and how it will influence the future positively.
Also, another thing that is already happening now is, China will soon lose their relevance in the crypto space, that is, unlike before they can release any type of news they want which will affect the market but sooner than later nobody will care again, thus they are not ahead of any country but backwards when it comes to crypto.
