41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you say within your limits to encourage responsible gambling? on: December 07, 2023, 11:19:16 AM
If these workers were caught trying to encourage gamblers to stop, then they could be reprimanded from their actions. In short, no worker is in the right thinking to tell gamblers to go home immediately after winning significant amount. That's obviously against their laws as they are trying to sabotage the nature of their business.

I'm not saying these from the points of view for some responsible workers  but for general. Gambling is a big business, so everyone should contribute to the welfare of the gambling casino.

42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 07, 2023, 08:44:27 AM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.
I guess everyone has experienced that, but the only difference is that some have managed to control their emotions while others find it hard and just let it out whatever emotions they have. And regret it after after the damage has been done.

However, for those gamblers who have never experienced these behavioral changes, I should say they are not real gamblers. Although they gamble but have never reached the climax in gambling.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to seek a new beginning? on: December 06, 2023, 09:39:57 PM
There's no late with bitcoin most especially in learning the basics in the forum. That should be your first goal in the first place, learning from the forum first before jumping into any opportunity that compensates profits. Everyone started from a scratch, so it's really important that you get to know the forum first before you decide to participate in signature campaigns, taking investments or trading.

I suggest to explore the threads in the forum first and visit beginners and help as that could be very helpful in guiding your bitcointalk journey. I know that you have already gained some ideas about bitcoin stuff, but reacquiring those knowledge and insights again will help you grow as a bitcoiner and a trader or investor.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: December 06, 2023, 07:59:26 PM
But, in a broader sense, can you make gambling a career path, abandoning all other sources of income to focus entirely on it?
You can, but should not.

You should not leave your income source up to probability with no assurance, stability or job security. This is the same reason I will advise caution to anyone investing in any asset regardless how reliable it is, cause there are to many factors out of your control.

Gambling is best taken as a recreational activity and not to be depended on as a means of livelihood.

- Jay -
Everything is possible with gambling, you can win and gain huge profits and make it as your career, and you can lose as well more than what you expected. That's how gambling can be a roller coaster ride and if you're not wise enough, you will be left behind with unpredictable losses  which most of the weak gamblers experienced.

The reason why I don't suggest making gambling as your sole profession, otherwise you will end up gambling your future as well. Although it can give you significant profits at some point, but majority still lose a lot than winning and earn profits. It's okay to gamble as long as you see it as part of your recreational activity, but seeing gambling as your main source of income, that's probably the worst decision ever. Even big celebrities do not gamble in their whole life, as they have big businesses as well that they have to put most of their time in order to ensure its profitability and security.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad news always brings some good news! on: December 06, 2023, 02:11:02 PM
Sometimes, its also bad news with bad results, and good news that also end with positive results. But in this case about Binance and CZ, I don't see it more of a bad news because even if Binance will shut down and CZ will step down from his position, the market will still be in profits. Most probably, the market is filled with more positive news and exciting events that makes the market becomes more bullish.

CZ does not control or manipulate the market, so even if Binance and his position will be gone, the market seems not affected at all. Now, let's see who will be the next Binance and steal its market position.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 06, 2023, 01:06:34 PM
Lottery is probably the most well-played betting game in our place. And I must say a lot have become addicted to it, except for myself.

When I bet, I actually have my own reserved numbers but I'm not keeping it like for months or a year, probably just for couple of days just to minimize my losses as well. And I never have tried allowing the machine to find lucky picks for me, that will only increase the chances of losing. Lottery is a business, so there's no way that they will provide us winning digits as that could be a loss on the house. I just trust my own luck and my own instincts when betting.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 05, 2023, 09:36:42 PM
It would be more appropriate to learn trading the hard way and will took long time to fully understand it, than trying to imply that you have learned it easily and end up seeing your trades failing and losing. That would mean bigger losses and frustrations on your part, believing that trading is easy, when in reality it's not. It takes even years for successful traders to reach their current position and live their lives the way they imagine living it.

However, there are also really fast learners that will learn trading easily. I have no issues with them as one can easily fail in trading, while others can be good and excellent on their trading skills and strategies. But still, consistent exposure and trading in the market is the best strategy to be an expert in the trading market.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think voting for Bitcoin to become a legal tender was the plan? on: December 05, 2023, 08:30:20 PM
The only reason why Satoshi made bitcoin is to have a real decentralized currency that can be accepted by the government, and that can be used as a daily payment system and act as a reserved currency from fiat. Being legalized does not actually mean that it will be a legal tender soon, of course fiat or dollar will definitely be the legal tender for life, or it could be bitcoin we don't know actually.

However, the term legalized could also mean that it will centralized soon and that taxing can be always possible. When that happens, I'm sure that's not the one that Satoshi is trying to appeal about bitcoin. Being controlled by the government is not actually what Satoshi wants.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: December 04, 2023, 09:56:02 PM
Just focus on the amount that you have won, that alone is already a good profit. Do not think of the money that your friend has borrowed from you, he will surely give it back when he has funds already. And when you have it already, then try to gamble it as you might be lucky again and win another significant amount.

My point is once you let someone borrow from you, then trust that he will return it to you in time. And if ever he missed his promise, most likely he's in a bad situation that he finds it hard to pay you back so be more patient about it. After all, you can still gamble even if he won't pay you, so just try to focus on your gambling and be contented whatever profits you have gained at that moment.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution on: December 04, 2023, 08:47:51 PM
Only 4 weeks before we welcome a new year and new year for many is the best time to promise changes in their behavior, career, and habits, and many gamblers take the New Year as an opportunity to try to change something in their behavior or lifestyle and they do it through New Year resolution.

My question do you include gambling in your new resolution, and what's your New Year's resolution about gambling?

Let's talk about it.

I am wise enough to manage my gambling habit and activities, so I think there's no need for me to change about it. I am not an addicted gambler either, so most probably I just want to stay the same just like how I deal with gambling this year, except that I just want to see more significant profits in the following year. But if that would mean gambling and losing more, then maybe I won't deal with the risk either.

Creating new year's resolutions are great to start a year. But it takes lots of courage and determination before you will see that what you have been wishing for is slowly turning into reality. In short, you should work on it also to see its real happening.
51  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need your contribution and opinion on: December 01, 2023, 07:45:33 PM
I have a little knowledge but I need a guide. Bought some cryptocurrency like XRP and Bitcoin. Currently people only talk about Bitcoin but the price is very high for me to afford investing in it. I don't know why I feel like it's the only cryptocurrency worth investing and I would love to try  but am still learning gradually about it.
You can't blame the people if they talk only bitcoin because that is the most secured crypto investment in the market despite of its high volatility. And frankly speaking, yes bitcoin is actually more expensive compared to other crypto coins because the profits you will also gain in the future is bigger than any crypto coin is. So never hesitate buying bitcoin even a fraction of it, that will be huge already when you hold it for long term.

Educate yourself more on bitcoin investment. But never miss the opportunity to invest in bitcoin now most especially that bitcoin halving is near and those who have bigger investments with bitcoin will definitely the one to benefit the most the market.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin investment is the key to success" on: December 01, 2023, 03:05:18 PM
There is no use regretting if you also benefit from your decision. Just accept the reality that if you don't sell, you will never have your own laptop. So selling early is probably the best decision, otherwise you will have a hard time borrowing from other people so you can finish your work. Focus on your tasks, not on regretting because it won't help you anyway.

There's always next time for bitcoin investment. Do not regret that you fail to gain bigger amount of profits. Some investors end up losing, lucky are you because you still end up selling for profits.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: December 01, 2023, 01:47:02 PM
Not all those who trade are in profits, some are just trading but still suffer in losses. Although there are still few who are genuinely profitable traders, but the rest are just showing of fake trading results and hide their real trading losses. That's when crypto influencers arise and offer too good to be true trading strategies and claim that they really profit from them, but in reality those strategies have not been tested and do not guarantee successful trading outcome.

Just think of this. If what we see in youtube are really profitable traders, then they don't have to bother anymore asking for our subscriptions and watch their videos. They should focus instead on their trading activity if that really gives them sustainable amount of profits, and not waste their time making contents for their youtube channel.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: December 01, 2023, 12:27:53 PM
What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ?  Where will this figure be if we consider worldwide users ? I think it will be somewhere between 10-20% ? Also, it is possible that most of gamblers are still not bitcoin investors ? I see  less chances of the later happening.
Mostly, those who hold bitcoin are also into gambling activity. Although not all of them but definitely more than 50% of these bitcoin investors are also enjoying gambling most especially that in most crypto casinos, bitcoin is the highly accepted form of cryptocurrency. Although some may be using fiat to gamble and keep bitcoin as their investment, still majority of these bitcoin investors are definitely gambling at the same time.

However, different case when it comes to gamblers as most of the gamblers are not into bitcoin investment. Some are just gambling for entertainment only, but I think for those who have been gambling regularly, they might have been engaging into investment, if not bitcoin, then most probably into other physical investments.
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There's always a price to pay. on: November 30, 2023, 09:29:04 PM
In every success you aim to reach, there's always a price you need to pay and there's always some risks that need to be taken care of. Some risks might be quite manageable while other risks are actually hard and inevitable, but the only option is to overcome all of them as success still awaits in the end.

To be honest, I've had sleepless nights and uncontrollable emotions when I started Bitcoin investment. But I was never discouraged from all of that, instead I use them and the success of those early investors as my motivation to keep going and remain transparent and positive minded throughout my investment stage in bitcoin.

56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 30, 2023, 08:53:56 PM
Though this question has been asked in the forum multiple times but I don't wanna sound rude and wants to answer upto the point as follows:

1. Government can only ban or shutdown something which they control
2. Bitcoin is not controlled by government hence they cannot do anything to it.
3. Government can never shutdown Bitcoin because if it had capability to do it then they would have shutdown Bitcoin long time ago.
4. In worst case scenario of Bitcoin shutdown then yes Altcoins will become worthless atleast for a while post which there are chances of new beginning with new concept.

Since government cannot shutdown Bitcoin they had even doing smear campaigns and targeting exchanges to discourage people from using it.

Majority of the crypto exchanges are centralized so it's really possible that if they can't shut down Bitcoin, then exchanges are highly susceptible on that. But I guess the government are still fair on centralized exchanges, they won't impose shutting down if it had not seen any anomaly while the operation is ongoing.

All those exchanges that have been put to an end have their own issues, and those issues have become huge and uncontrollable, the reason why shutting down remains the last option.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 30, 2023, 01:58:38 PM
I was guilty of this when I was a teenager not on online casinos but in a popular game on Fiesta It is a color game using dice, I was introduced here by my childhood friend and I had a lot of losses with this game, I'm using my school allowance so every time I lose money I blame my childhood for leading me to this color game I do it in a fun way as if I'm just joking but deep inside I hate it whenever I lose. I struggled to fight the temptation but the excitement led me to play again and again.
How about have you at any time blamed the one that led you to gambling in your mind, or even told him face to face?
It's normal for a teenager blaming someone for their losses especially if that friend is the one who introduced the game. Their minds are not mature enough to understand that gambling is a way to lose, once you decide to gamble, you are allowing yourself to lose your money. But at this current, mature age, its very inappropriate if you still blame other people for your losses. You should not be gambling in the first place if you resort acting that way.

Good thing that never happened to me even the first time I've played gambling. I know that gambling never guarantees profits, so let's play gambling games with caution.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: November 30, 2023, 12:01:00 PM
Quote
Guideline 1: Gamble no more than 1% of household income
Don’t bet more than 1% of your household income before tax per month. For example, someone with a household income of $70,000 before tax should gamble no more than $58 per month.

Recently I decided to risk only 1 percent of my gambling portfolio into each bet. This makes my bet risk free as I know that even if I lose the bet i will lose only 1% of my gambling money.

Do you guys also follow a similar strategy like gambling with 1% or 2% on each game? This way not only we are safe from losing big amounts but at the same time, we never find ourselves in a situation where we go all in, in some bet and then have the fear of losing all of our money.

You must have heard 1% strategy in trading, the same can be applied in gambling too and believe me, you will feel a lot more comfortable using this 1% of your money in every game.
This also gives you a lot of games to play before you end up on your money as on every bet you will use 1% of your money. In case you lose all bets, you will be playing 100 games because your money is exhausted.

The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines
Using 1% strategy in gambling is fine as long as your sole purpose is just to entertain yourself, and that you're okay whether its a loss or win. However, from my own experience, betting a very small amount is not challenging at all, maybe because I still have this urge to win decent amount in gambling at some point. I'm actually betting 5% once or twice a month from my monthly salary, and that's never an issue if ever I lose them all.

However, we all have betting preferences in gambling. And what works for me might not work for you, so if you are still starting to explore gambling, using 1% strategy is really fine.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: November 29, 2023, 09:18:07 PM
There are people who have learnt how to trade, practiced on demo accounts for long but have not had the money to try trading on the market, and so they have abandoned trading to try search for money first. While there are others who have too little income, that they cannot profit from the market trading, they are always worried about loosing and because of that they make mistakes with their technical analysis and end up loosing the little money they have. Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?
I don't see it reasonable making trading exclusive for rich people only. Not all rich have the skills and abilities to trade, so even with huge funds, trading will still not be successful. Same with people who are skillful into trading still cannot guarantee its success if funds are missing. So it should be in balance, you should have the knowledge and skills in trading, and you should sufficient funds to start trading. That way, the rate of success is very high.

However, I am not saying that poor people are not actually qualified for trading. Of course, in trading there are no distinctions whether you're rich or poor, the important thing here is you know what you are actually doing, and you have the funds regardless of its amount, that can finance your first trade. The outcome of your first trade will determine if you want to pursue trading or just take a break first and earn sufficient amount first before deciding to trade again.
60  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: November 29, 2023, 03:21:02 PM
I have never seen anyone wearing bitcoin clothing in the public, and I have no plans either. Although it's a good way of spreading promotion about bitcoin, but it could also be a threat to anyone wearing that as there are bad people waiting in every corner eyeing for their new victim. For you, it could be nothing as you just like to wear your favorite shirt, but for bad people out there, it could create a hint and make a plan to attack you.

However, what I'm saying is just only from my own point of view. Others may have different interpretation about that but for one's safety and security, just avoid doing exposure like that. Keep your privacy and never let anyone know that you're actually a bitcoin enthusiast.
