41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 21, 2024, 07:01:39 AM
Never had a conflict whatsoever, I'm not a religious person so I'm not all for it or fanatic about what my "religion" says is taboo or wrong to do, that's not for them to decide with how I liive or die. Once you get used to not following everything that your religion says to a T, you would finally be able to live a life of freedom and happiness, use your scriptures to guide you on a moral path not as the driving force in your life, that should come within you so if you're gambling and you feel that at the back of your head someone's telling you to not do that and that it's a sin or something, remember that there are priests out there that made a vow of chastity that are raping and molesting children, my point is if the servants of the religion that you're in can commit such grave sins, who are you to be pure for that religion?
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 21, 2024, 06:19:25 AM
I would say it's somewhat a bad sport to bet on given how bad the current boxing federation is and how corrupt they are, it's really difficult for me to say that it's not the worst sport to put your money in. It's still a 50/50 odds per matches at the most simple terms but with the bad match up and possibility of a fixed matches, there's a possibility that you're bet is for naught unless you've got an insider for that match that would help you out to decide which fighter would you put your money into.

Also, given the current popularity of mixed martial tournaments like UFC and ONE, it's definitely one of the bad sports that you can bet your money into.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network Token is to be listed in Binance Soon. on: May 21, 2024, 05:03:36 AM
Pi Network is mined out of thin air so I don't think that it will ever have a value, the only reason that people are still hodling these tokens is because there are some people that believes that there's a value to it and that they're going to be able to sell it for higher price, talk about FOMO at the delusional level. There's also some traders of this token in my country that trades with Pi for stuff like groceries and phones or something like that, this is a really weird situation and I don't think that Binance will ever list Pi, also it's already proven to that it's a scam.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: May 21, 2024, 04:23:25 AM
I don't see any hole in that logic, you really need to put some passive income in your life because if you just rely on your own hard work at your job, you would probably have a hard time finding the money when you're finally retired, you will not be able to do the things that you wanted to do when you lack the money for retirement and the fact that you've got no investment means that you'll have a hard time having fun while you're still young because the money will always be tight and when it becomes like that, you will end up burning out eventually. It's a difficult decision to do investments but you've got to understand that there's going to be a lot of times that the upside of investment is way too many to pass up but I can understand why some wouldn't consider investing, after all if you can barely survive with your paycheck, you'd probably not have any time to invest into anything.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 21, 2024, 02:34:19 AM
Buying is the best move, renting isn't going to get you anywhere, I mean what happens to that apartment or house that you're renting when you're out of job or you don't have a job anymore or you're retired? Pretty sure that the landlord wouldn't really mind evicting you out of the apartment, it's probably for the same reason that you'd want to struggle with paying for your own house rather than renting because then you'd own something that yours and at the end of the day, you will be thankful that you did struggle because you will leave something behind for your kids if you've got any, what matters in terms of shelter is the permanence.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Donate $100 the day bitcoin hits $100k. on: May 21, 2024, 01:49:19 AM
I'd very much like a donation drive funded by bitcoin/crypto people once BTC hits $100k, but without all those complications you mentioned. Just one or a few reputable people(a multisig, perhaps) setting up a BTC donation account for everyone to donate to is great enough.

We really just need a compelling name that could go trending on X/Twitter.
Really difficult to pull it off given how there's a lot of people that have done this before in the forum and there were times that it was a hit but the times that it missed, people on the forum got a bit more scared and skeptic of charities that will be created from this, it's a conundrum and it's in conflict with what I believe when it comes to charity here in the forum but I'm in agreement with you about this one, much better if it's organized and I really don't like the concept of fake kindness anyway where you're forced to give to people just because you care that it celebrates a certain bitcoin price milestones.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaks 2021 ATH and hits $71k! on: May 21, 2024, 01:15:34 AM
As of last week ending, Bitcoin showed signs of getting back to the range of $66-67k and with how rapid the movement was, I hoped it would cross the 60 something figure and enter $70k. We are yet to see any heavy buying since Bitcoin's price is affected by supply and demand so maybe it can scrape that figure because as at time of writing, price is $66,363.36 and if there is no interruptions when it's starts to rise,  $70k will not be difficult to achieve.
We might see some more than that if the trend continues but in my opinion, I think that a price correction for bitcoin is due to happen and I do hope it happens soon because I do think that a lot of people are trying to get into the market but the value of bitcoin is just too high for them be getting in so they just get by with DCA which isn't bad but it's not optimal. I think that this month it will go to $70k+.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC staying above $67,000, will it reach all time high? on: May 21, 2024, 12:36:22 AM
Those self pro called professional traders or economist always been like this, they said when the price crossed x, it will pump to y and when the price down to x, y will be the bottom. Anyone, without need to have a degree or approved by a lot people, can predict like that.

Only few people dare to say the exact price like bottom of Bitcoin price will happen on 5 June 2024 or $25K is the bottom, as we know those speculations mostly missed.
Maybe the self-proclaimed says that but if you really go with the real traders, they'd probably say something a little bit different and much more in-depth than most people expect it to be unlike this one which just basically means as you think it means, no factors or scenarios discussed that would create or contribute to the growth of the market, it's basically a watered down "bitcoin goes up and down sometimes" like what @thecodebear says. To be fair with these self-proclaimed traders and economists that you're talking about, it's really hard to predict a precise price at a specific date, that's why everything is all speculation even if they're saying that they're going to predict something.

The obvious question that you scammers don't usually give a good answer to is why if you have such a good system for making money you are here selling it on the forum for as low as $130 a month instead of being on your way with your yacht full of models to the Bahamas.
Because there's really no such thing as what they offer so they want to try and entice suckers into thinking that they can make them more money, I have a feeling that with this kind of of scammers, they usually have their own trading platform that might look like it's legitimate but it's actually a manipulated website that will make you think that you've made a lot of money, most people that are a victim of these fake traders are mostly people that don't know trading so they can insert words that don't mean anything to make you believe that you're making money.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: I need my lambo now and manson and yahct life too short lets do it on: May 19, 2024, 09:14:46 AM
Probably get a job and start working and saving so you can build your own start-up and end up with you creating your own business, that's the easier path instead of just waiting for the investment to grow but what you're trying to have is ambitious but really unreasonable, how can you expect yourself to get to that point when all you do is whine and complain at how slow your investments are making their profits. You can't really do much even if you scream it out, if that was the case, everyone would be doing it.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: How to improve your condition? on: May 19, 2024, 08:38:29 AM
Life is a choice, everyone will choose to live a more decent life that is free from all financial problems. But there is something that most poor people cannot resist, misfortune that makes it difficult for them to get out of the poverty line. When you are faced with the reality that there are no jobs to make money, then creating your own job is the solution. Creativity will make it easier for you to make money, develop your ability to work smart by utilizing technological developments to make it easier to make money.
Another problem with this is that the slots for a new kind of job borne out of creativity, no matter what you do, if you're too late on that new way to make money, the opportunity quickly lowers, maybe if the people that they vote for starts doing what needs to be done to help these people then maybe we would see less and less people that are trying to get out of the poverty line, got to remember that the government was made to be a servant to the people and not the other way around and in terms of how most governments are doing, it seems that they're only serving the interests of the few that will benefit from it. There's also the fact that we also need to remove those tax exemptions from the rich people, it's really astonishing at how much money they're able to get away with because they know how to get their tax exemptions meanwhile it's us the working class that's shouldering the burden of higher taxes.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: May 19, 2024, 07:52:34 AM
Can you give out the link of your research so people can check it out, I mean if it's a research then there's going to be an abstract to it, if it's an informal one then it's going to be difficult to say that it's a legitimate one because you're going to need to prove your data gathering which is difficult if you don't have a backing from being a peer reviewed research. It can't be valid if it's based of your observation, there has to be some data OP, just because people here want everyone to make a concise post doesn't mean that you got to leave some important stuff because that might help with other in understanding what you're talking about or what you're trying to talk about. Now in regards to your title and what you claim to be is the conclusion of your research, I think that it's somewhat true but I can guarantee you that as much as there's so much money in online gambling, there's also a lot of money in land based too, that's where you actually the real high rollers that are gambling millions as if they're spending only a thousand, if we try to really get into the profit or how much a gambler spends in online casino comparing to a land based, we'd probably be seeing a really huge gap.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake curse strikes again, rapper loses on Fury, Usyk bet on: May 19, 2024, 07:06:03 AM
Just the previous day I was talking about Drake curse and other celebrities who lose in gambling. And here we are again with another drake's matter. Drake is a terrible gambler and he has to come to admit that that is what he is and he should just take a break from gambling for some time, get some coaching on it and return and try his hands while gambling again. I know he's a celebrity and these are monies that he can afford to lose because he has more than enough. Yet I am worried for his fans who has not as wealthy as he is and who he has a huge influence over.
I guess if this keeps on going and we can't consider it as a coincidence anymore, it's probably time that Drake should set up a payment system so you will be able to know what team or fighter he's putting his money on, it's a win-win for both sides, kidding aside though, totally agree that Drake should stop with gambling if this is what's always going to happen to him, focus even more on writing and the current beef with Kendrick Lamar because from what I've heard about the songs coming out, Kendrick's bars are hard hitting against Drake plus when he focuses on this one, he'll probably be able to make more money to be able to fund his gambling spree. I guess some people that have everything in this world doesn't have the luck to gamble and make huge wins.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 19, 2024, 06:19:45 AM
How many more threads about this before people have to learn, I'm pretty sure that this should be a thing that you should avoid, I mean anyone with a lick of common sense would know that this is the wrong thing to do when you're gambling even if you're not gambling, loans aren't something that you should care to get into because you will know that it's not going to be in your best interest that you have a loan lying around, that's an indicator that you're living outside of your means which means that you probably need some kind of reality check and that you're going to be needing some financial planning regarding how you spend your money, loans aren't a thing that a common man should get into, unless you are making money out of those loans at an exponential level, you're probably better off living frugally and within your means, it takes discipline but better off having tons of debts because of your gambling habit that doesn't get you anywhere.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: May 19, 2024, 05:20:07 AM
That's because they're ashamed of what people has to say, got to remember that for some, they still have this within them the ability to be ashamed of what they do because they know that whatever they're doing is wrong and a taboo to their community so they don't like the judgment but don't like it enough that they stop doing what they're trying to do, gambling addiction makes them feel good so you can't really stop when you're starting with it, that's how it is so there's only one way that you can do gambling without the judgment which is hiding that addiction to everyone, that's why it's really difficult to help out this people because you don't if they're really addicted or they're just like that or they're doing something really stupid.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 19, 2024, 03:39:29 AM
That's probably the most sad thing and pathetic thing to happen to someone though, some might say that he could've just went with stopping when he got all the money back but you don't understand that this person is an addict and they've got no way to stop even when things are in their favor like this one, his mind must've been thinking about trying to gamble because he's basically back to zero losses but he's got all the money that he got from successfully chasing those losses. Never had this kind of thing happen to me or have heard of this kind of thing from my friends or anything, it's such a stupid move when you're an outside perspective but understand this fact that in that situation, you're probably so deep in that addiction that it's not going to register to you as a stupid move, I don't feel bad for this kind of people especially those that justify their actions, if they had the control then they would've done something about it right?
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: May 19, 2024, 02:54:56 AM
Big stars gamble and spend huge amounts in gambling. Neymar has a lot of money and if you calculate his total money, it will be seen that his money amount is equal to the total GDP of any country. If Neymar gambles and gambles and loses millions of dollars, it won't affect him financially. However, I had read this kind of news that you mentioned in the news and I had seen a related video. In that video I could see Neymar losing a lot of money gambling and crying because of that, but he later confirmed that he made the video on purpose just to warn his fans. The news you have just shared may have been published only to warn gambling addicts.
That's not really fair to compare his money on a country with the lowest GDP, I mean Tuvalu is a small island and there's not a lot of money to make there plus it's not really a matter of how much money you've got or how much you're earning to replace that amount because it's a matter of the money that you lost and the things that are much more positive that you can spend that money on, not to mention that he's gambling at the birthday party of her daughter which shows what's happening to him and it's really bad right but given that it was just a stunt (or they might just want you to believe it), it's all good I think but it's really weird that you're doing this kind of thing at your daughter's party, you shouldn't be the center of the attention in my opinion.
