1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop the self entitlement claims on others gamblers winnings. on: November 21, 2023, 04:00:52 AM
That's just straight up bitter jealousy in my book, I refuse to believe that there's a person that really thinks like that in real life because that's the most stupid thing to say, hell most of the entitled individuals are pretty stupid as if they deserve being able to receive that kind of stuff in the first place, whenever I see that kind of stuff to someone I know, I instantly lose respect for them because they don't have any gratitude in their body even their parents, I lose respect because no way that's not something learned outside the home. People should stop the culture of giving back in my opinion so people like this doesn't have any backbone to say stupid stuff like being given more.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 21, 2023, 03:30:38 AM
When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? My answer is after winning big just like yours after winning big and you had to loose even only once sometimes it triggers you to do more and more.
That's one of the answers because this question is an open ended sort of question, someone can lose control when they are also losing and still continue play not paying attention to the idea of losing more money than they should at that session. Another moment of losing control is being mad or hysterically angry at the game because you tell yourself and believe that the game isn't giving you any break or that the game is purposefully making you lose which is kind of stupid if you finally calm down but during that hysterical moment of losing of control, that seems to be the right thing. Another moment of losing control is thinking that everything's out to get you and that all the games in the casino is rigged when you are losing.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 21, 2023, 02:40:42 AM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?
That's probably because you're reading it too literal, the jackpot that they're talking about is the freedom from having to slaving away your life for your gambling habits and I think that it definitely is the truth because no jackpot in gambling will be worth compared to your time and life being spent on other much more meaningful things. Or I am the one that's reading this wrong then if so I would say that they're the type of people that worship the Gambler's Fallacy through and through and no amount of logic can dissuade them, that can only be true if the game that you're playing is rigged in a way that there's a set amount of plays and then will guarantee you a win.
This advice is actually making gamblers believe that they can win when they spend a lot of more time in the casino, they strongly believe that not stopping or taking break will bring them closer to their jackpot.

One of em told me that this is why I don't win, that I only gamble when I feel like, he said constantly gambling is a must if you want to win, but I disagree, because I have seen too many people not knowing when to quit until it was too late.
That's gambler's fallacy for you and peer pressure at work, they are already miserable at gambling although they don't know it yet and so they are trying to drag you with them in that metaphorical muck that they're stuck in. What you're doing is the right thing so don't be so discouraged when you do that, some might say it's cowardice but that's the bravest thing to do in that situation which is walking away and calling it a day.
To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.
This is the right mindset but I do hope that you're practicing what you're preaching because treating gambling as an entertainment is a difficult thing to do especially with money involved, you will only know that you've done it when you lose big time but then you are still genuinely having fun at gambling and not just fake laughing to prevent yourself from crying over those losses.
1024  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack game with side bets. on: November 21, 2023, 01:56:25 AM
With OP not planning to reply anytime soon I think that it's safe to say that this is an attempt to plant malwares to unsuspecting gamblers, OP hasn't bothered replying to the thread for about 9 days now so either OP defends the product or just ignore which is what's likely to happen. If this really is a malware then it's kind of funny that someone quickly called it out on the first reply, OP probably saw that and just booked it. OP didn't even bother trying to explain the product a little or what it does, just straight up said that he/she got a program that others can download which is a red flag already.
1025  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tokenized Treasury Bonds ng Pilipinas magbubukas ngayong Nov. 20, 2023 on: November 20, 2023, 08:55:37 AM

1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: November 20, 2023, 06:15:49 AM
Everything indicates that it is over, although it is not impossible that we have a scare downwards. But at the moment of the cycle in which we are, it seems that we already hit bottom and this is the beginning of the comeback. The prospect of the upcoming halving and the soon-to-be-approved Bitcoin spot ETFs also help the anticipation.
37k is pretty steep price to drop from in case the bear is still not over and I don't think it's been a thing that has happened before to bitcoin so I am sure that bitcoin probably way past that bear season and I hope that the bitcoin price will stay here for long because it's a comfortable spot to buy bitcoin and be chill that the price won't go any lower. It's a guarantee that halving will affect bitcoin and I'm almost certain that it's going to be a big pump but I still hold reservations that after halving, the pump in prices will probably take some time but I'm all for the waiting anyways.
1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I got started with Bitcoin and how it is blessing for me? on: November 20, 2023, 04:12:54 AM
it's the same with me, where I discovered bitcoin in 2017, and I also come from a simple family, at that time from the proceeds of bitcoin I was able to build a house in 2019, and get married in 2020, and have children in 2021, something that I feel It's impossible to have a house, because it requires quite a lot of money in my opinion, but it's possible thanks to getting to know Bitcoin. Until now, I am still investing a little money to achieve the future, because I am sure that the bullish season will come again later
That's an inspiring story, pretty much a rags to riches in a way because it seems that bitcoin really helped you a lot, I hope that's what bitcoin will do to me too because I have been hodling mine since 2019 and I was able to do it because I came from a well off family and I have a job so I am not that worried about panic selling. I am so inspired and jealous of other people that have their lives changed because of bitcoin, it really changes your life and I have seen it time and time again as I am surrounded during my college days of friends that are involved in bitcoin much longer than me and the financial freedom that bitcoin offers really is something, hopefully a drop of similarity of what good has happened to others and my friends would happen to me when I finally sold all of my bitcoin and have some more to get back again.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy Bitcoin in the Czech Republic? on: November 20, 2023, 03:34:04 AM
If exchanges like coinbase, binance...are supported and operating in your country, you can buy bitcoin through those exchanges. As I know, the p2p feature on binance allows us to buy bitcoin through our country's currency instead of you needing to convert to USDT or other stablecoins. I think you should contact the exchange's support to get more details about it because as far as I know, binance only supports some countries to buy bitcoin with national currency. As you said, your country is crypto-friendly, which means it will be easier for you to find local in-person help, which will be better for you instead of looking for help online.
So far, this is the best advice that OP can get because P2P is a pretty good way to do the trades, just input the amount you are buying or selling and what mode of payment you are going to transfer the funds and that's it, most people that are in Binance P2P is quick to respond although that's from my experience when I am selling bitcoin or USDT for the local currency. OP have to be careful about it though as Binance requires KYC and it's a custodial wallet so if you don't like the idea of having your information taken to verify your account and you don't like other people holding your bitcoins which is smart then Binance isn't for you.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Javier Milei just won the presidentiial election in Argentina on: November 20, 2023, 03:05:56 AM
Congratulations to him and his party and hopefully they will deliver what they've promised to the Argentinians because that's what should matter the most above everything that we wish about him being a fan of bitcoin. Now that we got the formalities out of the way, I still have some doubts that it's a big help to bitcoin because there's not much that OP has given to support us on that fact, sure he loves bitcoin but what does that translate to when it comes to policy making because the president's personal interests shouldn't be the one that's taking a priority but if there's a support in the senate or whatever the policymakers group is called in Argentina supports the president in policies that will benefit bitcoin then I don't have any problem and my doubts would be gone about him winning the election. I do hope though that we will see Argentina adopt bitcoin because of their inflation rate constantly going up, I think that bitcoin is going to really help their economy because it's already proven in individual scale that you can save yourself from inflation by moving your money in bitcoin plus there's also the growth of your investment.
1031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too Expensive? Then Buy Satoshis on: November 20, 2023, 02:29:55 AM
The problem with those people is that when they've heard about the price and say that it's expensive,it's because they didn't do any research that you can buy in fractions or satoshis so they end up saying that to other people that unfortunately asks them about bitcoin which in turn discourages those people that would've been eager to invest in bitcoin if they only knew better but that's misinformation for you, there's no way that we can eradicate that all at once so small steps and make sure that we contribute to the information drive that seeks to properly educate people on bitcoin.
That's why I have stated above that those kinds of people should understand that they can be able to buy in a small amount of money. Meaning, that someone should explain, or those people should do their own research to fully understand how they were able to invest and understand why they should consider investing in Bitcoin.

Every information needed regarding Bitcoin is all over the internet. If ever they heard it from somewhere or from someone they know, they would eventually do their own research due to their curiosity.
The bolded part of my reply should've been sufficed to tell you that research wouldn't happen because most of them are already discouraged from the start meaning that they won't bother doing the research even on their own because what the person has said to them when they asked or was curious about seems to be enough for them. Yes every information on bitcoin is on the Internet but there are bad information out there that are either outdated, inaccurate or not true at all so even if you say that they do their own research, they still can't be sure what they are going to get in all of this, information drive and dissemination is still the best thing that we can do because an information disseminated by the bitcoin community is much better than those sensationalist tech magazine websites.
1032  Economy / Services / Re: Need people for freelance job 10 days. on: November 20, 2023, 01:55:10 AM
There is a current problem right now with people asking for services and not paying for the work so allow me to tell you that you will have a hard time finding a person for the job unless you are alright with the use of escrow for the funds that you are going to pay for the service.

Dude, you are asking for a service again meanwhile you still have an active red trust of you not paying the people that are working for you, maybe you should stop doing all of this because you are wasting your time and I hope that's really what is happening because I don't like the idea that there are newbies falling for your inquiries. Or if you want, use an escrow to make sure that you will keep your words.

1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: November 19, 2023, 06:23:50 AM
I feel like mid 2017 is repeating again. That is when price was starting to break $3k after a very long time being stuck below that and a group of bearwhales refused to accept the trend change and kept dumping their coins on the market to crash the price ... and ... they kept failing and losing money Tongue
I love for that to happen again, that would mean that would prove the doubters of bitcoin that you can never control how the price of the market will move no matter how many whales there are and it's a lovely thing to see these whales lose their money and sacrifice their wealth to the almighty bitcoin, that compound bearwhales is a little ironic, a billionaire that's always negative about the market that's making them the profit. For me, I think we will see a really good year end for bitcoin because December is a pretty good month right, what I am worried is that I would be able to sell my bitcoins when the year ends because January is a bad month and I want to capitalize on that potential in January to get back in with even more bitcoin value.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ferrari introduced BTC payment option for their cars on: November 19, 2023, 05:32:38 AM
For such a big company, I'm certain there's a significant impact on the market. It seems like we are now witnessing more significant news related to Bitcoin, and it appears to be gearing up for a new bull run. For us to have an idea on its potential impact on the market, as per... ; Market capitalization of Ferrari (RACE) it's marketcap as of October 2023 is $56.40 Billion. Just imagine the positive impact it will have on adoption.
Last time that a car company did this we saw bitcoin reach an all-time together with other factors but Tesla's mistake at that time was that they've pulled back in accepting so I guess Ferrari takes the throne of Bitcoin communities favorite car company. Hopefully this one is a more permanent adoption in payment option for Ferrari given that it's Bitpay, I think it's going to be awesome. Imagine having bitcoin symbol in Ferrari's F1 cars in Monaco Grand Prix, are they allowed to add that in their racecars? I mean it's still a promotion for them right if they add the bitcoin symbol?
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 19, 2023, 04:46:48 AM
Altcoins are good and profitable for the few who understands them and, much more important, who know when to sell them.
On the long term most altcoins simply go down and a few better ones may remain profitable against dollar, but, by far, no match for Bitcoin.
This I can agree, especially the last part about knowing when to sell them, got a couple of useless alts in my wallet now, should've sold it when the going was good but I was greedy at that time and I just lied to myself that I am going to be fine just holding on to those altcoins because I believe that those peaks weren't their last peak and I have a pretty big bitcoin hoard which added to my careless behavior because I thought that I don't mind losing a lot in my side investments since I still have bitcoin and then the bear season happened. Never marry the bag again with altcoins, once the profit is there I will just grab it. With my own words, the only bag I'll marry will be bitcoin.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estimate halving time with block time and a calculator on: November 19, 2023, 03:53:17 AM
a lot of people are anticipating the halving event and for some they need the estimated date to know when to make the most profit i agree with you though after halving it’s gonna be followed by a rise in the market the most important thing to know is that halving is near and we should all acquire btc as soon as now
I hope that it does but what's in store for the future isn't for us to know and bitcoin has been consistent through the years on growth but the halving isn't the only factor through all these growth, last halving, it took bitcoin about a year after the halving before it reached an all-time high. I can agree with you though about having to accumulate as much bitcoin as possible as soon as possible, you will never know if this is the last time that bitcoin will touch this price for the better and you will end up with regret not having to buy at this price when bitcoin finally has $100k as a price floor.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too Expensive? Then Buy Satoshis on: November 19, 2023, 03:20:37 AM
This is what everyone should understand especially newbies. It's fortunate to be able to start investing in Bitcoin without the need to have a whole 1 Bitcoin. Most people who heard Bitcoin for the first time and suddenly know its value will immediately say that it's impossible to invest now as the price is too expensive to afford by a normal person. Without knowing they can buy a fraction of it and still be profitable in the long run.

Newbies should know that there's no need to purchase a whole 1 Bitcoin, they can initiate the investment as long as they are interested in investing, can provide a certain amount for their own investment, are willing to learn about the technology, and are patient enough for the investment to grow.
The problem with those people is that when they've heard about the price and say that it's expensive, it's because they didn't do any research that you can buy in fractions or satoshis so they end up saying that to other people that unfortunately asks them about bitcoin which in turn discourages those people that would've been eager to invest in bitcoin if they only knew better but that's misinformation for you, there's no way that we can eradicate that all at once so small steps and make sure that we contribute to the information drive that seeks to properly educate people on bitcoin.
