901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 14, 2023, 05:23:28 AM
Who are these people that are dreaming of investing in sports betting? I'm sure that there's not a lot of people that are going to do that even when you make it look logical, sounds to me like you're creating fictional people that are considering investing in sports betting because I haven't seen a lot of users posting here that even consider that not even the NBA or Football mega threads. But if you're talking about short-term funds for sports betting then I would say I'd be comfortable to have around 200 USD because it's a safe amount, not too big for me but at the same time enough for me to make some profit in case I get a win in my bet.
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 14, 2023, 03:59:47 AM
To me, it's weird that they even considered marrying and living together with both having this kind of habit of being a gambler. To humor the question though, I think that it's best for the both of them to quit gambling since that money could be spent on other stuff that could help the household instead of just gambling that money away but if there's an addiction going on and it can't be helped, I think that the wife should quit because if the husband is still working, the wife can do the housework when she stops gambling unlike with the husband who's probably the provider in the family, he might not be able to find the energy to do housework.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Heritage is Some How Spiritual on: December 14, 2023, 03:30:10 AM
Don't be too emotional or spiritual for that matter about what a football club is, they're a business that caters to the demand of the fans to have a team that represents their country, place and state. They just appeal to the emotional side of the consumers so they can get more money out of them, that's the cold hard truth about this football clubs being a part of the community, sure the players and the coaches might be in it for the camaraderie and being a part of the people that support them but the football club behind the scene, they're definitely in it for the money only.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 14, 2023, 02:49:35 AM
I was coward to kill myself. No amount of money that I lost that will make me kill myself. If there is life there is hope.

This kind of problem starts from depression and hopelessness. He might thought there is no way out anymore. But this is wrong. He might be richer than what he thought he would have become if he has not killed himself.

It is painful to hear this kind of story.

When I was addicted to gambling, I lost huge amount of money and I was depressed and thought there is no future for me. But I saw more opportunities that I was not expecting after I thought all has ended.
It's true that there's no amount of money that it triggers you to kill yourself but that don't mean that you're a coward for doing that, tell that opinion to a person who lost their loved ones to suicide and then come back here and see if that's the truth, the Japanese don't even see suicide as cowardly sometimes because there are times when it's an honorable one. It is painful to hear that story but to start your post about cowardice is probably the most hypocritical that you can do, in fact whatever you're saying after that it's true.

I'm reading the replies in the thread and it sickens me that it seems that everyone here is soulless as I think they are and that you people are just here to fill your quotas in your signature campaigns, you might not know this people but the point of the news is that a person killed himself and it's probably not just because of the money that he's lost so stop saying stuff that are insensitive and keep that to yourself, it's weird that you criticize the person who killed himself and at the same time try to garner sympathy by saying fake stuff like you've experienced depression, you're not depressed trust me, you're just retarded and you know who you are and you are too many to mention.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 14, 2023, 01:56:43 AM
Yes it's not true and that people shouldn't believe in this trap for the reason why this trap looks like it's true is because a lot of people when they win, they tend to not think straight and so they end up having to do stupid stuff like not doing the same strategy that they created to win some might say it's beginner's luck but let me tell you, that what I've just mentioned about first game wins that's making it look like a trap.

We are talking about easiest as in if you gamble once and put it all in and put it at a risky stuff, like 1% chance to win then you are going to end up winning a HUGE return if you win, but the most likely outcome (literally 99% of the time) you will lose it all. So while it looks like the easiest way of making money, it's also the easiest way to lose money as well and majority of the people do end up losing money very quickly and they lose even more trying to recover from that at the same time.
That's why it's a trap even though it's just a psychological phenomenon that people have believed to be a true and real. I find it weird that people are willing to risk all their money for this one chance even though I know it's a gamble, I do think that there should be some form of control or bankroll management so you can make the most out of gambling experience and at the same time don't make it easy for the casino to get all of your money.
906  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 13, 2023, 07:05:28 AM
If you truly understand the reason for the introduction of the merit system then you will understand that it was intended for something good and not bad, we don't need the spammers to get rankef up, the merits system will fight against them and ever since then, there have been moderation in times of dealing with these spammers and trollers, most of them were also confined to the altcoins sections then you could easily found on the main bitcoin discussion boards.
Exactly and it's also difficult for account farms to grow because it's difficult to rank up anymore unlike the last time where they can just create more and more account and then apply it to signature campaigns but most obviously it's for spammers and at the same time make sure that the contents in the forum grow to a much higher standard because those who do good with their posts are given merit so they're more inspired to do it more. Merit system is actually a good way to prevent abuse and exploits in the forum and I've seen a lot of games and forums do measures against spams and so far, this is the best that I've seen or heard.
907  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin's privacy battle and an ominous warning to the community on: December 13, 2023, 06:08:57 AM
There's no other way around this and this will be the future if the community doesn't do any actions about this right now, no more talking will be needed because the authorities are just shrugging off our plights and concerns about our privacy, either a protest or something that creates a big ripple has to happen, no way to fight against this injustice anymore besides taking an action and saying what they need to hear in their faces. It's a crazy time for mixers and crypto and this events will definitely be a make or break for many of us.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 13, 2023, 05:18:40 AM
There are some reasons why I doubt the 2017 trend will be different; Bitcoin was much cheaper at that time than it is now -- $900-$20,000 -- so it was easy for the coin to have an enormous pump all at once. When the last bull run started, it took a long time to pump and many corrections before it reached its peak. A difference from 2017 is that this started before the halving took place. I feel the trend this time is likely going to be like the 2021 with similar regular correction while it climb and no one will be able to know when we get to the peak for weeks untill the dip hard
This could be the factor that might make it ever so different than last time but then there's more institutional investors in the market and more corporations that are willing to put in huge amounts of money to invest in bitcoin so in a way, there's nothing that has changed but there's always a first time for everything with bitcoin, maybe it will be a different pattern than the last time but I know that there's more to this than many of us expects.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase App Store rank as a market top indicator on: December 13, 2023, 04:21:21 AM
When there's really no one that's competing on the service that you're providing and you've got a really good advertising team behind you then it should come as no surprise that they're going to be in that position and not to mention that Coinbase is also a good app and website for all news that's cryptocurrency related. I hope that they're going to continue doing good and keep innovating as a crypto news website, that's my only wish for them since they're doing good so far.
910  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 11, 2023, 07:33:17 AM
~
KYC verification is very important for many casinos that are endorsed by the government that is why it is very for us to choose wisely.
Cryptocurrency gambling platform are very conscious about verification so we need to choose the ones that works for us except so we don't end up using a casino that does not interest us or have the features that we really need. Even though we have a casino that we want to us, it is good for us to gamble very wisely and not keep gambling without making consistent profits.
Well obviously it should be that way for government owned casinos they're the authority after all so it's weird if they don't employ KYC policies in their casinos if they owned one. Yes, you should be careful with where you do your verification but the point is that some casinos don't say that they have a hidden policy when withdrawing money and so they end up with this kind of issue which catches the players off-guard so it's not a matter of feature for your casino that they're looking for if the casino is against them when they want to do something.
911  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 11, 2023, 06:41:19 AM
This is a big move for a crypto community, though malaki talaga ang reason siguro kaya ipagbabawal na ito. Magingat tayo dito and make sure you are not promoting any kind of project like this anymore, and seriously baka kahit sabihen yang word na yan is hinde ko na gawin.

Nakakatakot maban dito kase sobrang laking tulong ng forum na ito sa akin and syempre andito ren lahat ang mga updates and topics that you might need. Any issues with this project? Or in relation paren ito sa laundering?
913  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 🎄🎅🏼🎁[Christmas Raffle III] Free Bitcoin Books! Merry Christmas!🎁🎅🏼🎄 on: December 11, 2023, 02:25:25 AM

1- How long have you been gambling in sports?
Close to 3 years but I would say that it's just around 3 months if we're talking only about the days that I've done sports betting, that's around the total or maybe even less.
2 -What are your worst experience in sports betting?
I only do online sports betting so most of the time the worst experience that I've got is probably just the favorite team to win got wrecked by the underdog, not the comeback kind of loss but total defeat with a 2 digit lead or something.
3-What are your best experience in sports betting?
Probably betting on the least favored team with the highest odds. Multiplied my money more than I've expected.
4-What can you advise on the new gamblers and those who struggles in sports betting?
Just take it easy and don't try to overdo your betting, set aside a fund and never go over the funds that you've set for your gambling/betting habit. Most of all, just enjoy the experience and the thrill of betting for your favorite team.
915  Local / Pamilihan / PudgyWorld Golden Ticket on: December 10, 2023, 08:16:41 AM
Sana may makatulong tungkol dito.

916  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IDF are terrorists who bomb children in schools. on: December 10, 2023, 07:05:17 AM
Spreading already debunked propaganda will only make you look bad. Even Israeli mouthpieces have already confessed that it was IDF that slaughtered people.
Now this is just depressing, I don't care what the argument that Israel has on attacking Palestine, they need to be eradicated once and for all, maybe find a new holy land and steal from another country like a parasite. Israel is doing what their oppressors back in WW2 have done to their people and they're not that broken up about what they're doing, now they're fabricating stories to support this unholy crusade that they're doing against Palestine. It's such a sad thing that this is their price for having to defend their so called "country", if they weren't the inventor of UZI and efficient spy network, they would've been gone a long time ago.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking forward to invest on: December 10, 2023, 05:58:20 AM
If you have $50 then you can go on for bitcoin beacose the amount is low but enough amount bor investment as a new investor. Nothing is small. All small things make big thinks. It's not easy to be an investor but if you started the don't look back forward. Beacose if you bring success from here easyly if you hold it. Best of luck go on buddy as a new investor it will bring success soon.
The problem with this investment is that it's such a low amount that it's a hard time for OP to hodl it for a long time because there's always that possibility that there's no follow up investment to this and that OP is going will be discouraged at how small the amount in bitcoin it is, maybe if this is a consistent $50 bitcoin investment I would say that it could work fine but if it's not then OP would need to wait for a really long time for the profit of this $50 bitcoin grow into something profitable.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 10, 2023, 05:26:35 AM
Be careful about this adage though as it's not the truth most of the time because scammers use this to entice you into investing in their investment scheme that only aims to get your money and leave you hanging in the air. Although this is a good thing to keep in mind, you have to be smart about what you're risking for because not everything investment or in life is worth risking over just because there's a reward that's waiting for you.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Vulnerability that allowed Ordinals to exist now has its own CVE code on: December 10, 2023, 04:04:35 AM
I say that the devs fix this vulnerability so the people won't needlessly suffer from high tx fees caused by ordinals. Besides hoping for the fix in the vulnerability, I do hope too that the miners wouldn't mind having this vulnerability fixed, they've got it going while it's still good so why prolong it and just have them all the benefits of bitcoin right?
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin Devolpers planning to kill Ordinals and Inscription on: December 10, 2023, 03:46:54 AM
Good, it’s a nonsense spam attack on the network. Go & fork off, do it on their own blockchain. We don’t need that nonsense in the serious commodity sector. People will say it’s censorship but ordinals are a waste of time & they negatively affect people who are trying to better their lives by using an alternative to traditional finance.
I don't get the point of doing inscriptions in bitcoin so I agree that it's not something that we should tolerate, maybe it was a fun time when they inscribed the whitepaper but now, I feel like it's being overused and the people that are doing transactions daily are the ones that are shouldering the burden. I hope that the developers and the miners will find some way to meet halfway and at the same time, make bitcoin have a legitimate reason why the tx fees are so expensive.
