This will be the most excellent April's Fool Joke when we find out the BTC given for NFT's on here was frigging REAL BTC (gasp!)

Ack! Scared Self Ack!

Used it all up on 'fly by night nft moving with you losers...Ack!

NFT's highlight the fact that there's a shit-ton of capital looking for a new home.  It's good for BTC and they'll all find their way home eventually.  Wink

NFT's make a 'certain' amount of sense ..in the case of say a graphics designer using the NFT blockchain to prove it is his/her work on their www site for say

Resume purposes and to sell such. But the prices are way 'out there' IMHO and that won't last. I could see for example the person who made the HOPE poster

of Obama getting big $$$ (unless he sold the rights already) ..but again...most of the digital art like such is time limited..what is considered worth big

bucks now may not be in the future (like Pan Am the airline ..going out of business way back when...what was a good NFT then would be kinda worthless now)

this has not really shaken out yet

IMHO

The Pi Cycle Top Indicator makes me worry too much. We are crossing it any day now. And it precisely predicted all market tops so far.

Whats your thoughts? This time is different? One possibility is we will have a double top like in 2013. Thats what I am expecting. A bullrun in April, Crash and sideways through summer. Parabolic end of the year.

https://www.lookintobitcoin.com/charts/pi-cycle-top-indicator/

All this short term price does not matter...IF you are HODL'ing till AT LEAST after the next 'halving' IMHO.....it is 'virtual real estate' where the price is determined by the scarcity

and like land the value comes from what is built upon it to determine price. So remember we are FARMING...when the price goes up for the land you don't rush out and sell

the frigging farm. You ride the dips. Buy more land, and thus become an even more successful farmer! Smiley

(sorry, had a few...seems logical at this moment) Smiley

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: March 30, 2021, 10:01:48 PM
LTC is better than BTC. Probably at 1000 $ soon.

Yes, I also Think Litecoin is very undervalued in BTC pair. Think about that: LTC is everywhere!, on every exchange (just look at the number of available, varius and different markets pairs), name the exchange - and litecoin is there!, its in the newspapers, and its in the top of recognizable of all altcoins. Also it is the better than BTC to an ordinary use.

So... Few days ago i've sold my ardors and bought - guess whot .. LTC .. (~20 000 $ was moved)
I'm still holding some litecoin, in hope that it will shine one day. Has LTC lost it's shine? In this bull season litecoin is a big disappointment.
Litecoin hasn't done anything attractive move until now, new people will FOMO into LTC because it's very undervalued in BTC pair and fiat pair.
If I sold my entire bag and moves another shit coins I'll get min 10x-20x that's sure.

Mimblewimble better do something for Litecoin...not looking good...raito wise to BTC from in the past to other altcoins...losing ground...I wonder

if it is mostly due to no $$$ of any big amount to developers for LTC and the ones with the talent go elsewhere to newer tokens/nft's/ or altcoins

what has concerned me for years is frigging Bitcoin SV is still more $$$ than legit project Litecoin...that never has set well with me.

Well, pump or dump, doom or gloom, flash or crash...HOD'L'ing what I have for Litecoin....but you'd think it would have more price movement

with the Mimblewimble progress.

There, I will buy that merit debt from you, now he owes ME!

I will however take a blowjob in lieu of the 2 merits. Hm, maybe it's time for a blowjob blockchain....

Did she actually ever do something for Amazon or was she indeed just "an investor"?

I think the joke is that she wasn't even an investor. Maybe she was a baby mommy?

I read she has given away or committed to give away 90% of here Amazon wealth she got in the divorce..meanwhile Bezo's is HODL'ing on to every dime

and his idea of charity is a FU...so pretty sure why they divorced…talk about moving apart on world views.

I'm selling miners from 2018 I got for ASIC Shelf Art..as an example sold an Innosilicoin A4+ Dominator I had with a price listed on the box from I think 2017? for $69 on eBay...again..

shelf art...it went just the other day for $409.00 usd on eBay. I have a gtx 1080 8gb GPU gamer card I barely used...PNY brand...I saw one supposedly go for $800 on eBay.....so pretty sure this one will go for like $600 or so ? I think I paid $700 for the card....a Baikal 300mh Cube ...again ..shelf art went for $125....BFL monarch card again more or less given... went for $50.

frigging chip shortage is getting serious..trying to get my bitmain s9i out of data hall with bitmain psu..they are going for what? $600 shipping sheesh..but again...nuts on other stuff i'm selling out of my attic....to ebay then to btc dust....just killing it...

anyway, as an aside of what is moving in the world of old asic shelf art...must dig out more asic stuff and 'revive'

48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's first post sale on: March 23, 2021, 08:09:18 PM
Imagine that Satoshi Nakamoto reappears and wants to auction his first Bitcoin Talk post as an NFT

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28

At what price do you think it would be sold?

Of course, with a proof that it is him and he who sells it.

 Cheesy

If Satoshi came back that would mean a 'real' flawed human being now really does have access to all that BTC and could 'crack' and start selling.

thus what you say would not matter much in the BTC IMHO would dump to 1/2 the current value on the shock of the above and no one would

care about the first tweet...in that, we'd all be freaking out Smiley

I hope Satoshi is OK..but I don't want him coming out and people realizing he controls the keys on that much BTC and maybe tempted....as to

this is why he is coming out.

quantum computer impacts are getting closer: https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.06159

Quote
Factoring 2048 RSA integers in 177 days with 13436 qubits and a multimode memory

Caution: They did not build such a computer or even factorize anything with it. They just proposed an architecture and calculated how effective it would be if someone could build it.

So this is no reason to panic, but it feels like the impacts are getting closer.

LArgest Quantum computer they can build is 53 Qbits. Still, it is starting to come down the old tracks....

Would such a 'project' just 'make' projects like sha-256 algo switch to POS or something because they would have to? Or would such a quantum computer

simply be able to 'break' all crypto algos of pow or pos? or whatever?

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: March 23, 2021, 08:04:03 PM
What could be the price in 1 week? I'm really tired of holding it now,?

Yes!
there is about 4 ltc. you think i should sell I wonder how soon will the price be, are there any good news for ltc?

Sell now, cry later Wink Or don't sell now and also cry later.

Basically, there will be a lot of crying in your future... Such is life...

Can you explain it more clearly bro, I'm really stressed

Sell or don't sell. Your choice. Nobody has the answer. Anyone who tells you what to do is pulling answers out of their a**.

If you are stressing over 4 LTC, then this game is not for you. Sure, it's almost $800, but that's not life changing money in any part of the world. Perhaps it's better to sell and forget crypto exists. Health is the most important thing.

Edit: Also. The most important question to ask yourself is: What option is going to hurt you more?
1. You sell and the price goes up 10x?
2. You don't sell and the price goes down 10x and stays there for a long time...

Both options are equally valid and entirely possible. You have to decide for yourself.

I sold all my LTC back in the day for BTC since 2013. As a result I have 3x the BTC or equivelent I would have had vs if I had just HODL'ed LTC.

Of course, this was over time, when people in the USA could mine at home and then in USA data halls at old electric rates for hosting.

Thus, when you go back onto www.litecoinpool.org and see your old mining amounts for LTC keep this in mind...really, really thought I'd screwed

up ..but since the 4 to 5x pump in BTC prices since last July 2020...that is no where near the case anymore.

My concern with LTC as with most here is that after Mimblewimble...not sure I see anything of note for the future or am unaware of such yet.

oh well, still have some 'modest' LTC but to be frank all altcoins I had before July 2020 last year at least, I should have converted back then to BTC

and I'd have 3x the value in crypto via BTC.

So we need LTC and other Altcoins to have the old (in the past) Altcoin pump to rectify this ..but does not seem to work that way (yet) as in the

old days when altcoins would 'eventually' get on par or outstrip BTC....or I should say 'traditional' altcoins like LTC...so perhaps I need to think

about new altcoins like NFT's or some such...but anyway, LTC foundation needs to step up their game ..they are getting left behind.

(I am about to get yelled at on this thread me thinks)

I just watched a video regarding this just a few hours ago and here is the link. It might be the same.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hZU7qska34

Base on the video, looks like they want to wind down Bitcoin mining for the environment because they are spending too much electricity on Bitcoin mining that it destroys the environment (at least that is what they said). One thing more is that, the CCP wants to focus the people on thing that the Communist can be controlled. Bitcoin can't be controlled by them that is why they released their own digital currency that they can be controlled and it is called Digital Yuan. Well, with regards to the price of Bitcoin and base on the date they released that untranslated statement looks like that it pumped after the article has been released.

Non-China miners are celebrating.....if this comes to pass...more $$$$ for them in the rest of the world

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trusted ASIC suppliers on: March 22, 2021, 08:34:12 AM
The Official suppliers I know about are;

1. Bitmain -----> https://www.bitmain.com
2. Innosilicon -----> http://www.innosilicon.com
3. Canaan -----> https://canaan.io
4. MicroBT -----> http://www.microbt.com

Please keep an eye on the URL. So many scammers and phishing sites in the mining equipment manufacturer and supplier world.

Thanks a lot guys and I totally agree with your comments. I'm thinking about Innosilicon for some time now and they seem to have a solid reputation, communication isn't bad with them so far as well.

If someone has experience with Innosilicon and willing to share, please do. I feel when it's all to shaky and expensive I'll just try to get a hold of a bunch of the nVidia CMP cards that are coming out soon.

True...but are any of them going to be in line to get any ASIC chips in the next year. I think I read that TSMC from Taiwan DID have 28% of chips in the world share in

making such manufactured....and is still going full out. Heck, perhaps their share is rising. I know that Bitmain uses TSMC chips and was just accused of trying

to 'poach' top engineers from TCMC in mass.

https://wccftech.com/19-taiwanese-chip-engineers-detained-for-working-for-chinese-front-company/

The only way that would make sense is IF Bitmain planned to make its OWN ASIC mnfg plant in some manner...sounds dubious...but getting the technical

folks to do such would only mean you are planning on somehow making ASIC chips ..or in this case, AI chips also.

Heck, the trusted ASIC makers are fine, but small potatoes to places like TSMC in the realm of chip massive runs. Thus ASIC chips may be 'last' to recover.

There may just plain not be any equipment this year, no matter what Bitmain says about pre-order dates...and unsure about the other ASIC makers

on your above list are not in the same boat.

Anyway, just an aside, on IF the legit boys/girls in the above ASIC makers list, can't get ASIC chips, then I'd be dubious indeed of anyplace claiming ASIC

machines that are not on the above list being legit.

55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is preparing to wind down blockchain-related mining on: March 22, 2021, 06:49:47 AM
However, this should not be construed as a fight against bitcoin. The Chinese authorities are too pragmatic. They do not like the fact that too much cheap electricity is consumed from their hydroelectric power plants, and some miners even manage not to pay for it at all. The Chinese government is simply putting things in order in this area of business and trying to stop the revealed abuses. If it was a fight against bitcoin, it would be complex and we would clearly see that these measures are directed against bitcoins.

Its purposely being represented that its a fight against Bitcoin my the media. However China seems to have more plans for the kind of distraction to them.

It would appear that they are trying to make it look like they are setting example for greener energy. As China’s Solar Industry Is Set Up To Be The New Green OPEC

It’s called the China F
UD, and it has been used by the nocoiners with an anti-Bitcoin agenda for YEARS. Zoom out the chart from 2012, and mark all the points/dates from when all the China FUD was posted. Nothing “killed” Bitcoin from $100 to $50,000. Honey Badger don’t care.

So it goes, the effort to 'regulate' the 'decentralized' blockchain that is Bitcoin. IF by some 'miracle' BTC is ever 'regulated' into submission by the use

of power/law/gov't crackdown/or whatever. That will be my 'clue' to become like the young people and become a 'minimalist'. I'd sell everything and

travel..because once ANY decentralized blockchain BTC/Crypto can be un-de-centralized through the use of 'regulation' and power by the wealthy

banking/traditional wealth/gov't etc...well, all hope is lost. IMHO, we would be looking at 'serfdom' in 100 years. Can you 'imagine' if Satoshi had

patented Bitcoin and made it a 'centralized banking coin'! I mean you can move 1 Billion dollars for like $2.80 I think I read, imagine the money you

could make in banking, where ..hell...most? of their money is made in fees of one sort or another. I'm pretty sure they'd still keep the $40k or whatever

it would take to move $1 Billion dollars and just pocket the change. We'd have Trillionaires in 10 - 15 years...with so much concentration in wealth every

frigging country in the world would be an Oligarchy and a Banana Republic, so power concentrates..unless something grassroots pushes against such.

Sh*t, just went and scared myself! Sad

The 'struggle' will continue well into the next 2 decades on this push/pull of decentralized wealth (BTC/Crypto) and centralized traditional wealth and power.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: March 22, 2021, 04:03:45 AM
I don't think it's over because the market stabilised lately and we don't see big falls after that %40 around correction.

When more accumulation happens we will see next step forward. Patience is the key my friend.

Was it really 40% correction though? I honestly do not recall anything more than 30% and that was before the new ATH most recently achieved above $60k.

Accumulation is definitely picking up pace as stats even show more and more bitcoin moving out of exchanges and into permanent wallets that are not being spent at all.

I just don't see it yet. I mean we are at almost $60,000.00 USD and as far as I can tell, everyone is still 'assuming' that boom times are here with the economy

coming back from everyone 'repressing' their purchasing on food/drink/vacations/cars/etc in the pandemic lockdown. Some economists are saying 6% growth this

year alone with a more than 'hot' economy on the rebound. I myself think that "likely' the price of BTC/Crypto as a whole 'will' dump up to 30% some time, I

just don't see it as happening yet. I mean big players like PayPal and Tesla are into BTC/Crypto....and Morgan Stanely and the rest....but the small..midsized

enterprises have not 'quite' got the memo yet and are still fence-sitting IMHO. So BTC/Crypto will correct the question is from what price? $75k or $100K?

Stock to flow, model, says $100k as a flatline kinda/sorta till next halving in 2024.

So, IF you plan on HODL'ing at least till then, I'd not sell. Me, I'm accumulating BTC dust from 'attic mining' (selling stuff in the attic and getting BTC from eBay)

no real risk and it kinda sucks ..but at least I'm motivated now. I figure if it goes to $100k I'll look like a genius, if not ...well ..got a rec room. Smiley

But we have not IMHO really had the idea of 'paying for the stimulus and the economic downturn yet....and inflation is just a 'gleam' in the FED's eye

as of now. If the economy booms this year, BTC/Crypto IMHO will do well, more 'discretionary $$$' to speculate into BTC/Crypto....if not then it will be

fears of the overheated economy and inflation, etc...and BTC/Crypto should hold its own as well. If I'm wrong, and BTC price dumps 20-30% just HODL

till 2024 having and the ATH comes back again. Too many reasons to HODL not enough to 'trim' stuff off just yet. Indeed, accumulating dust on eBay

junk out of the attic is 'quite' refreshing. Smiley

Again, note my 'tagline' here on my profile. It says "clueless' for a reason. Smiley

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: March 22, 2021, 01:44:15 AM
Why would anyone will be willing to buy this low  satoshi coin when it does not move much. You might get 10-20% profit from it in the entire alt season while investing in some NFT, Defi or BSC project can give you 100x returns in the same time frame.

The low satoshi coins are performing very well these days and siacoin is not different at all. A few days back the price of siacoin was only 20 sats while today its price is 41 sats. So its almost doubled our money if we have invested in it two months earlier.

I was about to post the same, after the yesterdays move, siacoin made quite serious entry and showed everyone that this is not a dead project. It might not the be most pumped coin but those that are quickly  pumped go after that quickly dumped too. We hit the bottom at 10 sats and bounced. It will bounce more if we break the 64-65 sat resistance then it will go further more, probably to 180 sats. In alt season everything is possible. Same applies for Verge... pumped the same time as the sia and it was nice.

I've looked through the above thread again, seems I'm going to 'eat crow' on what I've been saying about Siacoin and Sia-Tech. (Tastes like Chicken!)

Anyway, can someone catch me up on 'why' this is pumping? I seem to remember back about 1 year ago Siacoin was around 40 sats ...which I think it is now...

so is it 'simply a matter of BTC/Crypto price rises and Siacoin ..simply 'maintaining' at the same BTC sat kinda number?

Or can people point me to a thread or explain here...how 'exactly' you can setup a NODE and/or any other stuff via their decentralized network I'm

behind on with the project. I still don't think that you can build a Siacoin storage node with even used parts and make enough to cover such.

So anyway, enlighten me! Smiley

58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R606 750GH (up to 1TH) quiet miner, now shipping on: March 22, 2021, 12:19:42 AM
Just looking for if I need a 'heads up' or not on a Gekkoscience R606 SHA256 Terminus Bitcoin Miner I got back in the day. It is NEW and Mint....damn, I got this back in 2019...so have some questions below. I 'just plain' don't have the time or space anymore to get this beast up and I am 'maybe' planning on putting this up for sale on eBay or on Bitcointalk selling area. Also, the 'fact' that the Corsair AX 1200 PSU's I had from like 2018 (used) went on eBay for around $400 bucks each, kinda put a crimp in my 'delusional' plans to ever get this up. This was 'if I remember correctly' a 'first-batch of this Gekkoscience R606 SHA256 Terminus Bitcoin Miner from 2019 looking back at the thread.

My question is this: not to be off-topic.....what do I have to tell the future buyer on how to upgrade and set this puppy up, after all this time? So do the 'instructions' on setup on such, still, in the box apply on getting up the Gekkoscience R606 through the same update www page? Or am I so far out of the loop that there are 'other' hurdles I need to jump through to get this unit up to date after all this time (almost 3 years) and need to contact the OP, for 'levering' this beast up in some manner before I sell it to somebody. If all is well, when I sell this, I can then tell whomever that the instructions link in the New Packaging is just fine to start out from and use.

Also, from the thread, I got this on Amazon...I think I paid $325? So could I get what I have into this beastie?

Anyway, let me know about the above if you don't mind, If I have to 'update' the beast in some 'dubious' manner I will borrow a PSU and do so myself, before moving it out the door. IF it is not a 'big deal' and instructions in the box are the same, then I can make it the buyer's problem.

Thanks.

Brad.

It is gonna settle back down to between $42K and $45k me-thinks. With the 'supposed' USA rules on crypto and the India Ban and the

usual FUD of BTC's 'huge' electric use, etc, etc. A common pattern. Now as to the other reason we will adjust and people will take some

of their profits on all this is 'simply' the Pandemic is 'easing'. Folks may have to use this for real-life issues, like a new job, or just to

blow some cash on a vacation. A lot of bent up the pressure to 'spend some cash' after this last dismal year, don't ya know...so it is 'bound'

to affect Bitcoin/Crypto.

The reality also has not 'set in on how we are going to pay for this 'economic' slowdown due to the pandemic...even if it all was needed and

will be found (maybe) as so by future historians. That will happen this fall when maybe 'everything' from crypto to stocks to property will

correct 10-15% or more on the reality of needed or not...we have to pay for this World's last year of 'home confinement.

I 'suspect' that if my view of this fall 2021 is correct, BTC will break out again to over $75k or more. But some 'digestion' is needed in the

meantime. Again, guessing here. IMHO. No downside if I'm wrong to mentally prepare...in that if I'm wrong we continue the pump.
