Is there actually going to be any LISK Delegate reform or is that just a myth?

Seems they are making money and the LISK project just 'totters' along

Announcement : New ASIC! The Epic 2.2TH SC200 Blake2b/Blake2b-Sia (SC) Siacoin Miner! On Sale Now! PayPal!

I support this ASIC maker and was asked to setup a General Information Thread about the SC200 ASIC miner for blake2b/blake2b-sia (Siacoin) (SC) by Epic Blockchain Technologies.

After talking it over with there CEO and others in the know, itt was a pretty easy decision, on my part, in that they take PayPal as a payment option with the usual
safety of delivery or cash back options that PayPal provides. Which IMHO if all ASIC makers did this, ASIC purchases of any flavor BTC/Crypto would be almost free
of fraud on purchases! Thus backing their play on making new ASICs for whatever my 'cred' is worth on www.bitcointalk.org (This of course and $2 will get you a coffee...but for what it is worth) Smiley

Boy oh boy... I have had this feeling for a while, but it looks like it really may come to be that the corn might have it's biggest boss fight so far in the near-ish future.

The convergence of things right now is scary/exciting

they have these kinda of gaming military plans and gaming ideas a lot..just to do logistics...so if they wanted to game logistics they did this BTC scenario

for domestic problems

they also before this did a "Zombie" one to game by the CCD for the same reasons...look at the logistics and interesting problems and make it interesting to those

involved...so I don't think this means as much as the title suggests Smiley Anyway my view. Here is the CDC link to their Zombie drill for giggles. Smiley

For the poll, I put 0% for the sale of BTC on the next pump.....

however...

I will be 'likely' dumping all forked coin BTC of any flavor and all other cryptos I have...about 10% of my BTC hoard in value

by that point in time I guess. I will "probably' blow such on 'dubious' activities rather than add to hoard...might decide to live a little IF

I survive this Coniv-19 pandemic and the general 'nuttiness' of the current Trump Administration in general..I'm thinking Belize. Smiley

(hey....altcoins...I never claimed as a mistress you were my 'main squeeze' deal with it) Smiley

Would the "power struggle" start without Jihan Wu's accumulated losses for the support he gave for Rogercoin? I believe that's the eventual source of Mircee Zhan's misery over his "business partner".

yeah...20/20 hindsight is a bitch don't ya know...

PM me I can review remote at your site or you can send a unit...legendary status on here 24+ trust and have done escrow....

Yes, did a few transaction with the seller, so far it has been smooth.

Between COVID and this unrest it's getting progressively unpleasant, maybe short term, but who knows.
Bitcoin cannot fix this, but I really want it to be at 100K ASAP as it would improve my options as well as for everybody else on W.O., I would imagine.
The quality of life is really low (relatively speaking, of course) right now with all those stay at home directives, no travel, etc, etc...and now social unrest on the top of it.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah agreed. I've decided to write off this year as a traditional "this is the path you have been on" and instead think of it as a year to do very different things. Fix old stuff, complete older projects, get some time away from the office type grind and think about what is really important.

Also it's kind of nice because years can just run together when everything is good, then you fail to notice the passing of time and you get old. Like Adam Sandler on Click.

This year.... Man, this year is passing slowly and is like ramming into a brick wall. No fast forward here, every day is a new adventure and every month is a new disaster.

So there's that....

How about we follow what this guy (lightfoot) said, even though I have not seen any significant or meaningful evidence that bitcoin has fallen off its path (anticipated price trajectory)... yet.

The only 'aside' I'd say ..is with the pandemic and economic conditions people/institutions may WANT TO buy BTC...but real-life circumstances may be forcing them to wait and or sell at this time

Being an economic and health crisis and all. So probably like stock market/society/pandemic etc etc..we need it to stabilize (world view) in some frigging manner or all markets are going to harsh. IMHO.

(so we wait, in HODL mode)......taps foot...impatient I am Sad
474  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Obelisk SC1 miners...gen1 three slots or gen 2 two slot units or parts :)BUY on: May 31, 2020, 12:14:56 AM

Still looking, mainly for Gen 2 Slim Duals at 1.2TH and 750 watts. Price with shipping I have been getting them at is $150, again that includes shipping. (actually about $146.88...to be clear)

The above are the more modern and slim 2 slot units.

For the Gen 1 Obelisk 3 slot units, which run at around 800gh and 750 watts also, we have been getting them for $125 or so and that is including Shipping.

Shipping has been around $25 from most places FYI.

Sorry for the prices....we MAY go a bit higher depending on our "pucker factor' on all this. Probably we would be better off just buying BTC/Crypto of whatever flavor Algorithm. But pandemic

and all we are bored, so go figure.  You can also NOT sell to us and just keep your units above on the same bet we are making that things are gonna turn around..but If you've ROI'd already

and don't want to bother with these beasts anymore we may buy some.

End of plug. Wink

476  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 31, 2020, 12:03:52 AM
I see a country descending into open rebellion against its oppressive, unjust, inequitable Police State.

There is no greater symbolism of the endless systemic oppression than an agent of the state kneeling on a totally incapacitated dying man in the street.

I don't see this ending until vast swathes of the dystopian police state apparatus, ideology and funding empires are dismantled and dumped in the dustbin of history. They cannot be reformed peacefully so they will only go violently.

The people have finally woken up and The People always get the final say in matters of the nature of the state. Look it up, it's in the Constitution. There's 40 million unemployed Americans and probably tens of millions more disaffected enough to take to the streets. At most the US armed state agencies could rally perhaps a few million. In the end its just math.

Ultimately its about freedom.

When I was a kid, the police were respected members of the community, the boys in blue. They walked a beat and knew everyone by name and everyone knew them by name. We didn't fear and hate them. We respected and appreciated them.

Somewhere along the way everything changed. They switched from friendly blue to intimidating black. They started hiding their faces. They separated themselves from society. They developed an adversarial "us against them" stance and started treating the community (their bosses) as the enemy. They hid behind the anonymity of their uniforms and refused to give their names. They abdicated all personal responsibility.

What is long overdue is individual identification of all police officers. It should be mandatory for all police officers (except those on active undercover duty) be identifiable. Their names and badge numbers should be clearly displayed on the fronts and backs of all uniforms. They should also be displayed on the outside of their upper arms and thighs, so would be no doubt about the personal identity of all officers even if camera angles were obscured.

This would be an obvious first step toward re-integrating the police into decent society. Hiring practices must also be re-evaluated. As long as police officers are social pariahs, only social misfits choose to become police officers. Most normal people don't choose a career that leads to ostracism unless they are already outsiders, hence the bullied-in-the-schoolyard-and-seeking-revenge syndrome seen in so many of today's police departments. Better psychological testing must be used to weed out the violent, sadistic, authority-oriented applicants.

It's perhaps not as bad in Toronto as in most big American cities, and in fact it's getting much better since the confrontations between the public and the police during the 2010 G-20 meetings. More individual officers are making an attempt to reintegrate themselves and the evil Police Association is slowly losing it's power. It still has a long way to go though. There are still individual officers who hide behind their badges and think they're better than the law.

Some are simply arrogant doofuses like "Officer Bubbles":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMTm3QRwEc

Bubbles did not even lose his job.

They seem to forget who's the employee and who's the employer.

America  calls itself "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave". You can ask George Floyd's family about freedom, and there's nothing brave about 4 fully armed police officers murdering a handcuffed, unarmed man over a $20 non-violent crime.

The time has come to start treating police officers personally, as individual men and women, not as faceless uniform wearers, and it is time for police officers to start realizing they are members of the human race and start acting like it.

It would be best if they/we could affect this change peacefully. If not it seems like civil war is close, the people versus the state. It would be a very bloody war indeed.

When I was a kid, the President of the United States and Bankers and Corporate Officers were respected. Sh*t changes and Sh*t flows downhill...thus we are in the new gilded age of Monopolies and Power/Wealth

concentration....it likely will only get worse until some kind of 'adult supervision' in ethical business practices/wages and accountability of public officials comes to pass...but it is not gonna be soon....IMHO, sorry to say. Smiley

477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 31, 2020, 12:00:12 AM
Off the subject of wallets / other stuff. What's up the difficulty going up 50%+ (5m to 8.2m) in the last 60 days. Yeah the price is up, but not that much.
Thinking someone has some new gear that they are now mining on for themselves that we won't see at the "retail" level for a bit yet.

-Dave
Can be some old farm stopped cause the price too low and now restart because the price is in target

Not sure about elsewhere but a lot of LTC scrypt miners have gone off in the USA.... a lot of places it is 10c kWh..so I knew some that were squeaking by renting on miningrigrentals.com

at that price. But Summer rates kicked in at the end of May (midwest) and the prices could go as high as 17c kWH...so as soon as Summer rate day hit...I'd assume you'd have seen

a huge dump off of LTC network and other scrypt networks. Or at least that is the complaint on 'old' ASIC equipment every summer in the USA. Again, that would be my guess.

478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 26, 2020, 01:01:21 AM

it was never about deaths it was about not overwhelming the hospital system in the USA and Sweden

but with 1 payer in Sweden and more slack in beds..that is why they are close. Sweden with a 1 payer

medical plan and beds per capita would be right up there even more so than the USA. Sweden also had

testing in place a couple of months ago and ramped up which we have yet to do.

So in reality Sweden is looking worse as well with all that in place, unlike Germany. IMHO.

The USA issue is it a complete cluster due to political games and denial by the Executive Branch

damn hard to play catchup with the pandemic math. Anyway, what do I know? What comes to mind

is both Sweden and the USA missed the boat on how to approach this, in 20/20 hindsight.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2020, 02:55:35 AM
It's below 9000!!!

This sucks donkey cock.

I fear it is only going to get worse. See a 2nd wave of the Pandemic where IMHO a majority of the folks now think the worst is past.

I hope they are right and the worst of all this has  passed, but fear everyone is just kinda 'winging it' a lot too far in an optimistic hope than in reality....2nd wave always sucks

in any pandemic historically speaking..it would be a first for a pandemic. Add to that the likely 'refusal' to do social distancing and even modestly shut down again till the

the peak of infections passes..so society may stubbornly refuse any evidence or do another lockdown if it gets worse..in 20/20 historical hindsight much to everyone's dismay.

....well this is not gonna be good for BTC/Crypto/Stock Market/Economy/Your Job/Your Finances. At least it will 'all around suck' for most people I guess economically speaking if 2nd wave

comes about. With Billionaires the possible exception if on a buying spree for wealth accumulation yet.

This whole Coniv-19 pandemic has been treated too much as a political football and not enough as a medical health emergency and I fear we are going to get

a big kick in the balls as a result..and that, at least in my experience, is always an unpleasant reality check.

HOPE I am completely and utterly wrong and will eat any 'crow' desired in this thread if I am.

But this looks to me like one big 'hail mary pass' on opening up w/o testing in place Sad

Does the building come with it or do you have to remove everything from the building?

Jeez! You guys really have the funds to at least 'contemplate' bidding on something like this?

My own views would be to build a solar farm first then add miners Smiley
