401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many anonymous whales are there? on: August 19, 2022, 06:49:59 AM
maybe many of them don't want to be known because they think the safety of the money invested / transacted is safe. this is a lot of them making trust in crypto rather than financial institutions that regulate and keep privacy in full control. I think investors are very comfortable with this anonymity. I also really believe in this type of blockchain transaction. I think the trend without KYC is that most of them are comfortable with p2p or even easy access to other non-custodial wallets
Keeping them anonymous is the thing they are supposed to do and no one is urged to show up in the public. In fact, the creator of Bitcoin does first.
Many people hated KYC, not just because they are concerned about their security and privacy, but their main reason is to keep away from the corrupt government milking people by imposing huge taxes.
Keeping anonymous really matters for now as we don't know what is the plan of the other people.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy coins at 17k weeks ago could be the best time to buy on: August 19, 2022, 06:27:47 AM
Today BTC moves are more bullish than ever, my chart says we going to 27-28k and many people are waiting for 10k BTC, I think charts don't lie like people do, if a bearish signal is coming your chart will tell you but sitting on your hands and hoping for a satisfying buy price can leave you with many regrets.
It's true that charts can't lie but it's the trader's perspective that allows them to draw different conclusions from you so that the steps taken by each trader are different, maybe traders who expect the price to go to $10k are in a position to buy while you are in a position to sell, so expect the market will move according to what is being desired, However, the current price is still relatively cheap and worth buying
But I think traders' minds and analyses are different from normal investors. I'd say that traders are more knowledgeable about the market and have a good analytic performance. And they don't just jump into assumptions that were clearly impossible just like seeing $10k. As an investor, we need to know how to read the market chart and enhance our market analysis.
And that going to happen someone is waiting for Bitcoin to reach back $10k, it is actually a dumb thing he does.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next Gem Coin on: August 18, 2022, 11:41:42 PM
But I was afraid that it could be the next scam if they fail. But I agree with the others, this project is not the next gem and has no basis for that statement nor we can really see its potential to become big. For now, it was a failure to seek the next gem and it was hard to find or it did not exist. Many new projects come out but many of them turn into a scam that makes investors doubt these new projects. It is still a smart choice to take old coins and stop thinking next gem.
404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am losing money because take profit orders are not working. on: August 18, 2022, 11:11:32 PM
Hello I was scalping and I had a take profit order in my exchange to sell bitcoin when it reached 24448. And today at 14.13 tradingview was telling me that bitcoin was 24450..but the take profit operation was not performed in my platform..what could be the reason?
That's why you need to cross check before you could perform any transaction, because i noticed that the place the transaction took place is not a reliable exchanges. It should be all this scam exchange platform, because before you performed a transaction you will see the rate of the transaction before you could click continue. I will say the fault is from you because you did not notice the rate of the transaction before you start anything.
That also matters on the exchanges which they are late for the updates. Traders need to be timely updated and get aware of the situation but some trading platforms couldn't perform well which is too late to appear on the trading view. This scenario wasn't new and not really it is our fault but yeah, checking it twice or more could help, maybe it needs some refresh on the site OP for the update. I usually do this but if you are too excited and in a hurry, most of the time we forget to do this.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Problem Gambler Feels After Losing on: August 18, 2022, 12:26:57 PM
Gambling is never for everyone just like business is not for everyone. These two involves people that has the mind to take risk and accommodate the outcome from it. People who don't rely just on emotion but reality to strike the balance of taking risk proportional to what they can carry. An experience gambler is different from those inexperienced in the field of gambling because they gamble reasonable while the latter does it emotionally.
It's not for the frail heart and mind. Those who can absorb the losses and just let it go for the next gambling day will likely come back better.
But those who are weak and will try to chase what was lost will have a bad stressful day when they wake up.
I can say it because I have been in that moment. The thoughts of how much was gone in a short span of time will linger for a long time.
It's difficult to fight the "chasing losses" emotion but once you get through it or maybe thru experience, a better gambler will come out with knowledge on what to do on his next bet.

it feels bad but we can't beat the house and get our money back. It was wrong chasing our losses knowing that no matter what we do, we still lose more rather than make winnings. As to be here in gambling, LUCK is the only hope we made in order to make money and we need to be strong and accept our losses but never blame gambling for this is our choice, not the owners.
Stop chasing those losses, otherwise, we just fail and even lose more.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 18, 2022, 11:42:42 AM
As we all are seeing the launching of new projects one after one. So, one should take care of many things before investing. How to know the real potential of these new projects?
We can't do like guessing, not even seeing their team members are enough. Honestly, this is hard, and investing guarantees nothing. We can just verify and could tell if that project has the potential or not if we do an actual investment.
I'd sometimes use my instinct and sometimes also I fail. it was clear to me that investing in new projects seems too risky, unlike investing in BTC and known potential altcoins.
407  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 17, 2022, 11:43:00 PM
Yes there have been some green signals in the market since the beginning of August but I think the market is still not in a very good position. We may see a dumping in between with it. However, the market is expected to start recovering in early to mid or beginning of -2023, according to many market analysts.
Maybe not but at least we are saying some improvements, and we are in an uptrend momentum. But yes, we are still not far from the bearish state of the market and I think we can't even pass the $25k level this month despite the growing signs of its price. This is exactly how the bear season dominates the market and even seeing the hypes is somewhat impossible.
Anyways, those who come late will still have the chance to buy more as this might end by December.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 17, 2022, 11:14:49 PM
I think Bitcoin will never reach the price point of  $1000 again we're already in a booming phase. People now are aware about Bitcoin it's a matter of time that the whole world will adapt to its trend. If ever the price of Bitcoin crashes below $20k I'll buy no matter what because it's an opportunity to make a fortune. It's a lesson for me if every time Bitcoin price crashes it's time to buy and some alts then hold it, wait for the time to sell it.

If you say under $20k it's still very possible. The market is still in a bearish state and some manipulation of the whales also affected the market sentiment to go down. Buying again under $20k is a good recommendation, but don't wait for the $17k support to pass so you can wait for the $14k-$15k price.
Only need to prepare spare money to buyback bitcoin and some other assets.
However to reach $1000 is still impossible for now. I will sell all my properties if bitcoin drops to $1000 again.
And it wasn't sure if we drops back below $20k again after seeing the market is stabilized above $22k. It was the best choice for now is to take this price and never wait for the $17k as it was unlikely to happen anymore.
$1,000 again? We're not ending yet. Perhaps the market is even growing and prices keeping high compared to 10 years ago, we're not coming back for that very low price as the demand steadily growing. We are supposed not to think about it as the market is changing its direction upwards, it is not going down.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be open to any possibility on: August 17, 2022, 11:47:19 AM
I feel it too. have some coins with a large number like you. The cryptocurrency market is still in its infancy and the competition is intense depending on our expertise/knowledge and goals alone. However, there are some coins that are pegged to succeed on their business model or feature. A wise investor knows that no investment is guaranteed, and there is a risk of losing money. The best strategy is to diversify your portfolio across many different cryptocurrencies, and not invest more than you can afford to lose.
Well, a smart investor won't just look for tomorrow but they consider the future happenings. That is why they are not preferred to invest in projects in the short-term but rather invest in a long-term deal. And why? Because they are absolute that they could earn more applying this strategy rather making themselves to buy now and sell later, as they want to buy now, hold, and sell them in the future ( when prices multiplied several times).
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keys to crypto trading on: August 17, 2022, 10:58:32 AM
The best keys when it regards trading is to train yourself to work hard and acquire knowledge and skills. Having all of these things you can therefore think that your trading carrier is successful and profitable.

Because trading is all about trading ourselves to a biggest responsibility we took as this is not a joke nor we think it was an easy game. And most of all, we can't underestimate the market volatility - every single mistake correspond to losses and regrets.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: August 16, 2022, 11:56:14 PM
so many people that sold the bottom in the comments, so many that sold and thought btc will hit 10k. wonder what they going to do when btc hits new all-time highs, without reaching 10k.
now it is near 24,000, so it is the time to buy.
You can still buy of course but you should be mindful about the price since its quiet expensive now and the price might have a correction along the way so better to wait for that or you can take the risk now and see if the market will continue to pump or not. BTC price is already in a good position, this might be the confirmation that bear has already ended and we are now moving slowly into a new bull market.
No, we're not, what is the basis of saying the bear season is over? Those few pumps are not enough to say that Bullrun is coming, it was just we normally see the market moving up and down. We can just say it was maybe if we are halfway close to the last ATH which apparently is still far from it. We're not over yet and we need not be confident about these pumps.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 16, 2022, 11:21:47 PM
As a day trader or a passive trader, most are confused about how to make the best out of the market, and many will always complain of losses during a bear market, meanwhile with the right mastery one can make massive profits in the bear market and this goes further to clarify the fact that market conditions do not have much to.do with your profit maximizing but proper market mastering is what gives profits in whatever market.
I don't know what confused means in trading because for me, I really myself and the strategies I used and profits will come once performed it well. We don't need to master the market movement or whatever it is because what we need is to adopt the volatility of the market and be able to go along with it, it is called adjustments. Price? that really matters in trading - buy low, sell high that is certainly how trading works which means that people are very focused on the price movement.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: August 16, 2022, 12:46:59 PM
^

In my opinion it is very difficult to quit gambling if you constantly think about them.  So no matter how nice words of support it is very difficult to fight gambling addiction when the theme is filled with advertising signatures of sites that provide services in the field of gambling. In my opinion a person who wants to get rid of gambling addiction immediately need to turn off the visibility of the signatures or even refuse to read such topics.
It is not all about advice and suggestions because no matter good it was but the truth is that it lies upon the gambler and their decision to leave and forget gambling. Because if they are still exposed to this, it was really hard for them to change and much to stop addiction.
Now I see that gambling seems growing fast and the government allows it as long as it was legal which means that the government also lets their people become addicted to gambling.
414  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: August 16, 2022, 12:18:37 PM
-snip

Here in our country, many people still blames the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and the pandemic as well. They still can't admit that they elected a corrupted official that has no concrete plans with these economic issues. Some even blame the poor when they are protesting about the rapid increase of commodities. I'm just hoping for country to not go that far like what is happening on those places because my family can't afford to migrate to other countries.
The crisis started when the covid-19 pandemic hits worldwide, and next is the conflict between Russia and Ukariane. We can really see the suffering of many people, especially those who are living poor, those who just rely on their job, in fact, even average people have also felt what these poor people had experienced. We have seen and heard about a protest in many places but it guess what, this is not the solution to this problem instead, it even adds more. The government should take action and must listen to the community, and look for alternatives, not war.
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of BTC ever hit $40k again? on: August 15, 2022, 11:55:34 PM
I observed several changes in the price  within a few months. With these changes, I wish to ask do you think the price of Bitcoin will ever hit $40k again?
I'm just being curious as a new trader.
We have reached already $60k during the last bull season, and $40k is actually low meaning that there is no reason why we don't hit it again, unless if you will say this year?

You don't need to be curious anyway. Just have to understand the volatility of the market and also check its history. But because we are still in the bear season, you could really see that Bitcoin price is cheap. However, this is just temporary, it will be changing someday. You'd better anticipate that moment and take this current opportunity to have some before it ends.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest missed opportunity in crypto on: August 15, 2022, 11:27:47 PM
Tell me a project you missed the biggest opportunity on that could have changed your life today...

In 2019 many people hate HEX and called it Ponzi scheme, I have more than 50$ to risk on this coin at the time, I bought some and I got 500,000+ HEX, this cost me around 11$ or so and in November 2021 one HEX turned 0.55$, that's whopping 280,000$ or more.
Well, a scam coin like Hex is not the thing we have to regret missing. Apparently, a project created for this should not gain support and promotions, and it was good actually you have missed this or else you are also in regrets for investing this.

Well for me, the only thing I regreted most is by missing the chance to buy Bitcoin when it reaches almost $3k. I'm too negative at that time and even sell my Bitcoins coz I was afraid. But look what I have done? It is really not the thing I am supposed to do, instead to take more risks and understanding the volatile nature of the market.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expect The Bear Season. on: August 15, 2022, 10:54:45 PM
I think we don't need to recall what happens in the past because this won't resolve the current issue (bear). I'd see no need to panic with the dump for this actually come and then go. MT GOx is just a history of how the market is risky and losses could be possible here, it was not worth remembering. I'd rather be focusing more on the incoming events rather than looking back and this is impossible to happen again.
People had already learned, that was the most important.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 12, 2022, 03:34:48 PM
Quote
Myth 8: Gambling Is Only a Financial Problem
>> Fact: Gambling addiction causes problems that extend well beyond financial losses.
Addiction problems are so complex that it require extra money and discipline to curb. Losses are like a shallow part of addiction problem. Gradually addictions grows into emotional traumas, physiological deformities, mental instability and even suicidal attempts. this problems can be avoided but most times greed push gamblers into addiction

You can really expect a lot of temptation in money. People never count their losses but they too focus on their winning without knowing that they lose millions while just winning thousands. We can really imagine that gambling isn't for winning actually, we can aim to win the jackpot but sadly, it never gives you instantly nor you are too lucky for that. But guess what, the more we win, the more we become greedy and addicted to gambling.

I think it was better not to win as I was heading away from getting addicted to this.
419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Know the right crypto project to invest in on: August 12, 2022, 03:13:36 PM
Considering rate at which hundreds of cryptocurrencies are flooding the blockhain space it seems digital currency is taking over the fiat. But the question now is how does one get to know the right crypto project to invest in?
Don't make it hard and bothered yourself to think about these thousands of shitcoins in the market, why not choose those old coins like BTC and ETH? You are somehow not wasting your time at all. It is not necessary anymore to dig deeper and look for potential coins among the number of new projects, you will get tired of looking at them but never find any ( or you may have but it was not sustaining).
You'd rather choose those projects that already have credibility, and you will make a profit right away.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for August on: August 12, 2022, 01:53:50 PM
I'd see no big change but seems to get lightened up when seeing a few pumps on its price in the past days. Not really I think we are about to reach $2,000 but I was confident that it remains above $1,500. Not bad as to see at this current condition and I see no worries to those who invest in this project as I believe it will carry over and pass this bear season.
I'd see the merge that is about to happen cause some surge in its demand making the price spike. I'd see such an influence to the investor's mindset.
