401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on: January 07, 2024, 10:08:59 PM
Theoretically speaking if you could predict the algorithm in an online casino wouldn't you be able to predict the game and win a lot let's just say you had access to the algorithm and you were able to replicate it you would practically be able to win all the games
It's easier said than done, that's the reality.

You know that these casinos are doing their own business and they have all the measures to counter anything that goes against their fairness for their players.

Naturally, they always the have edge against their players but if they've seen some players that have been constantly winning and that doesn't go according to their normal process then you know what's coming next.
402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Fake Ledger wallet update email with phishing link. on: January 07, 2024, 08:31:05 PM
Many of these emails will never be gone as it's like a database of the hacker or the phisher that keeps on collecting more emails of people and then will send it again soon.

The reminder has always been displayed on Ledger's website at the top of the page.

Beware of phishing attacks, Ledger will never ask for the 24 words of your recovery phrase. Never share them.

#StopTheScammers
Ongoing phishing campaigns

What I just don't like with this reminder in the latter is that at top of it, they're reminding people about the ledger recover, duh.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just HODL on: January 06, 2024, 11:45:49 AM
True but bitcoin has always been offering lesser risks but some still prefer to invest in altcoins and we know most of this liquidation definitely comes from altcoin and so just better to let them know even in the altcoins HODLing is still better though is just for them to do more research and hope they investing in the right one or just stick with bitcoin.
Also for me, HODLing altcoin as a shorter spam which can be 6 months to 2 years while Bitcoin for as long as you would like.
That makes sense with what you've said. While there are investors that always look forward with the altcoins, that's because how they see the altcoins market to be a good part of this market to take some quick money.

As that span is likely how it should be for most of the altcoins that they want to hold. There is no doubt that Bitcoin isn't going to be beaten if it's about the longest term of holding it.

Many even considered it as a retirement fund whilst for some altcoins, maybe ETH is the contender but other than that if it's the reason for holding Bitcoin, it's hard to compare it with some altcoins there.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 06, 2024, 09:38:49 AM
I have hardly seen any person who is passionate about something or a hobby, retire at an old age simply because they want to. If they did, it could be because of some issues that may be as a result of health hazards and immobility.
It's a hobby and when someone gets old, it's hardly to retire on it with something that you love to do. I still see people taking lanes on the lottery outlet just to bet with that.

Else, a true gambler gambles despite the age because they love it until death do them part.
Yeah, if that old man is really in loved with betting. Regardless of their age, they're going to bet no matter what happens to their lives and until how old their lives will be taken back.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying crypto for less than $1? on: January 06, 2024, 07:23:33 AM
No idea with exchanges that allows that because the others have already mentioned it. Maybe this can do good with P2P through the forum, yes that amount is quite low but who knows if someone's willing to do that trade on you.

And since you want to have doge or shiba inu, I guess the transfer fees won't be a problem but how about your payment? Definitely not doable with a Bitcoin.
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: January 05, 2024, 07:10:35 PM
UPDATE.

So to date no reply from any staff at BC Game on the reported bug and support has no information on my reporting it or the help on showing them the bug on their test server. So if a bounty isn't listed on the site I would recommend not reporting it if you would expect a  thank you. NOW FOR THE BUG:
I don't ever play crash because I always lose and imo it's a high roller game but for the hell of it played anyway. Some how and still don't know how I was able to get crash to attach to me device allowing me to crash the game whenever I hit the cashout button. This also allowed me to send the game to the moon believe it or not. (I have screen recording so please not interested in arguing). At 1st I thought it was a fluke and the game was crashing at the very same time I would hit the button and it wasn't a fluke. The errors would come across my screen script fail, etc, etc won't list them all. Had I been a hacker or less of a human being I would have exploited this for major profit but instead I immediately reported it. The next question I would have now is how provable fair are these games if I was able to control the outcome from my device? Thoughts?
That's actually sad if they don't ever give you a reply with what you've reported. Maybe they're still analyzing it and verifying your report but I understand you to have at least that reply to you on what's their take on this.

IMO, it's a serious bug that someone can exploit if ever it is for real. But then, I think that they'll be able to detect it as well if ever someone abuses it and can see that back logs from those accounts that will exploit.

Try posting it on their official thread, maybe you'll get some attention there and they'll be able to reply to you from there.
407  Economy / Economics / Re: How influential is crypto worldwide? on: January 05, 2024, 05:32:05 PM
~snip~

You are right there. It cannot be denied that no matter which field of the market Bitcoin is included, especially in the market cap, when investors find out about this, they will be really encouraged to invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as long as it is in the top listing. of the market.

There are many people who hear bad things about cryptocurrency or bitcoin, and those who hear bad things about crypto or bitcoin are used to cheat and defraud investors.
IMHO, the description of Bitcoin with bad things are now gone. With that I mean, there will still be bad things that we will hear from other people but the crowd won't agree with it anymore.

Gone are the days when everyone has the same negative belief about Bitcoin without even having it. And with those negative words they say, the good things that happens to it are more than that.

The realization of many are come to be said with the same thoughts that they've been late already. But with the comparison of its market cap, that's another factor that they have to consider that it is now one of the best global assets that someone can own.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) and other privacy coins at risk of delisting from Binance on: January 04, 2024, 11:13:28 PM
See that coming.

There is no doubt that most of the privacy coins will get delisted on many exchanges as that's part of the compliance of these exchanges from the demand of the government.

While the other cryptos remain have no problem with them but only these privacy coins because it goes against to the standard of the government that they're mostly used in illegal trades.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [A POLL] Without Chances of Making Money, Will you still be gambling? on: January 04, 2024, 08:52:21 PM
It is a waste of money if you're aware that you have no chance of winning. I know that it is gambling but even in the toughest games, you can still have that little chance of winning.

Are there games that are like this? It is just a situational matter but I don't think that many are going to spend money when we're totally aware that you have zero chance of winning.

Maybe for the experience, there will be who wants to try it out and are good losing a bit of their hard earned money.
410  Economy / Economics / Re: How influential is crypto worldwide? on: January 04, 2024, 03:41:12 AM
Even if you say that you don't like it, most of the investors refer to the market cap to see how liquid it is. Just look at these websites and their references, they're all highlighting about the companies and assets market capitalization.

And from these sample lists, we can happily see that bitcoin is part of the top assets globally.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China ban people from using usdt on: January 03, 2024, 08:59:06 PM
If that is real and that is because of one thing, it's because they're going to have their own CBDC and they don't want any competition for it to thrive.

They're digital economy there and most people have adopted already and with this ban for using stable coins, it is because that they're cooking something and I think it was already two years since they've planned it or even longer.

Well, the people there can still do whatever they think although the PRC is too strict with their rules and with their sanctions.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 03, 2024, 01:04:27 PM
~snip~

This happens because they themselves respond wrongly to gambling, thus making them addicted to gambling, because in my opinion someone who is addicted to gambling, of course the addiction alone will damage their mind, and over time they will be affected by mental stress, as well as other health problems. could be affected by gambling addiction, if they responded to gambling appropriately perhaps this would not have happened. because addiction often leads to bad things, such as gambling or drug addiction, both of these things have the same side, namely they have bad effects if you become addicted to gambling.

someone who is addicted to gambling will of course experience financial difficulties, while everyone certainly doesn't want to experience problems in any way, especially from a financial perspective, if they experience financial problems then it is likely that they will experience stress because of the financial problems that many people feel. people, not even just people who are addicted to gambling. Financial problems can make someone stressed, therefore I think don't gamble excessively because it can have an impact on our mental condition and thoughts or more specifically our own health.
We don't want to experience such hardships and difficulties but it just comes naturally based on our choices and the decisions that we make. And there's no other result if someone is an addicted gambler. There goes the result that typically are good in the beginning for that made a person addicted to gambling.

But we all know what's the end game of it or the long term results of it and that is going to make someone financially unwell. As we tell other gamblers to control themselves and when they go the point of losing everything, that starts to affect their health as well when they can no longer bear the losses.
413  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 03, 2024, 10:16:28 AM
If you are affiliated with the casino, I think it's best to just contact them and have them take over this thread or make an actual announcement thread of theirs for people who are going to try them and have an actual representative for any concern that someone may encounter for trying them based on your words.

Talking about sportscasino.io  its focus is again no kyc and instant payments which works very well in European community for a long time already. Take your time see my previous posts during the years, you will understand what I mean. It is the agent system based on own community rules.
While on your experience, they're no KYC. But who knows if some players will be asked on it randomly in the nearest future since the EU is strict with the casinos, online/offline.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: January 02, 2024, 11:01:12 PM
what is the reason the government wants to ban dex? is it because they don't enforce kyc and don't comply with regulations that it needs to be closed? if so, they need extra energy to track down these dex platforms, which is actually pointless, because when dex is banned by the government it will not make developers give up and not want to develop the platform anymore, instead developers will come up again with new ways to trick the government and it's quite easy for them to do that.
I hate to admit it but that's it. A country that has no benefit over a service that runs on their jurisdiction will have no doubt will ban a service like a dex.

They can ban it so that their citizens won't use it but they can't close or stop its operation. They just can simply ban the website from the IP of theirs.

It is also happening in centralized exchanges where countries are banning the likes of Binance because they are unregistered.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 09:29:40 PM
The solution is to treat and maintain mental health, so that it doesn't make your health worse. Gambling can make people feel great pressure and gambling must be done correctly if you don't want to get into trouble.
Of course, when we are in this condition we should not feel excessive stress because it can affect our health for the worse.
Moreover, if in these conditions you gamble using a large budget and when you lose it will affect your mental health which ultimately leads to worse health.
Having issues with pressure and mental conditions really can cause a lot of attacks and anxiety. And with that, it affects our body but I'd leave to the medical experts to give tips on how it is.

But as someone who grows older and sees that these emotional encounters that we do really affects our health when we're pressured and stressed.

I have no idea what my mental and body state is right now but I think that I am fine for now.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rollercoaster of emotions. How to deal with? on: January 02, 2024, 11:45:36 AM
I'd like to say just do not invest. And that is because you are complicating things to us wherein fact that you are also confused but you understand everything.  You want to invest but you do not want, so it is like that.

And for you to have more confidence in investing if you decided to continue then start with 5% of that amount you are saying so that you wont have issues to yourself whenever you cannot feel the fluctuations.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 03:27:15 PM
I don't have one honestly but I have a wish so it is better to be like that. And that wish is the same with everybody that I hope that I will be luckier this year and not just in gambling but also in life.

Maybe if there is something that I am going to insert, that is all about my finances and hopefully that this year is going to be better than the rest.

Happy new year everyone and happy gambling too.
418  Economy / Economics / Re: First time? A company suing because people aren't buying its products!!! on: January 01, 2024, 10:58:39 AM
Funny but this loss is a serious hit on them. Now, this is a lesson for most of the companies and businesses that there is power with the people when we are all united.

Before, it was like that they are asking and pleasing people to work for them. This time, it is all about boycotting and they cannot do anything with the voice of the people.

I guess that soon they are going to make efforts for getting their customers trust back through various promos and discounts.
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Investment Strategy Proposal for 2024 on: January 01, 2024, 03:12:55 AM
In a previous post, I share how I have been struggling to HODL BTC long term: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5479795.0. I received a lot of helpful insights that showed me that HODLING long term is possible without the attendant financial stress. One of the most common suggestions is a change in lifestyle. I was also encouraged by the story of the Chicken Man, the Bitcoiner who sold his big house and moved his family to live in a school bus. Not sure that I can do that. I really do not consider myself a lavish person since I never flew a first class. Nevertheless, I can skip coffee breaks to buy bitcoins. Here is my plan:

Option 1 Buy small amounts of $30 daily through 2024.

Option 2 Buy based on the price of Bitcoin at the time of purchase. Say $45 if Bitcoin was trading at $45,000 and $16 if it was trading at $16,000 that day.

Both are daily options. Which is better?
Option 1 is better both are like DCA you just buy whenever you are comfortable buying. But I just like to modify something on this plan of yours.

Do it like every week or every few days for you to save fees. But if you are just going to keep on it exchanges until it grows, you may do that somehow but still practice the importance of not leaving your funds on exchanges.

420  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should Binance users be worried over the exchange? on: December 31, 2023, 01:03:52 PM
This is really disappointing news. First India and Now Russia.
I am not surprised with India because they have been aggressive with their ruling about matters to crypto. I think IIRC, there was a point of time that they have banned or if not, they have imposed 30% taxation on crypto profits.

That is a lot to charge and whilst for the Russian crypto users. I have no idea what actually is happening there and how they have embraced the sanctions imposed to them by many financial institutions and the US government itself.

For the users that makes them worried about this news, if you still do not have a hardware wallet. Do not wait too long and get yourself one just in case your country is the next one to shut Binance operations locally.
