401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: December 04, 2023, 09:25:48 PM
Well, I could agree that the majority of the traders are not quite making good, most are experiencing losses rather than making a profit and that is because they are still learning or have fallen in the wrong direction. Many traders start trading only knowing the basics, some have started empty, and some are under the influence of these social media influencers --which is definitely not enough to expect passive results but instead terrible losses.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: December 04, 2023, 12:29:38 PM
Not that just standing in front of his opponent and trying to exchange and trade blows. He needs to be a thinking boxing now as he is maturing and obviously he needs to be a champion here at this division to get more money and at least get a true belt. Bigger fights for him is Teofimo Lopez and the winner of Haney and Prograis. Or he if wanted a quick belt then Romero is the best option.

Big improvement as he was able to improve his defense but the same time he slowly try to join the boring boxer to watch. But anyway, a win is a win for him, actually a big comeback win and I'm sure soon enough he'll get closer to be in a championship fight.

As for Rolly, it would be entertain to see him fight Garcia, but I choose the latter to win as I believe Garcia is a more smarter fighter.

However, if he would fight the winner of (Haney vs Prograis) fight which I think Haney would win, I doubt Garcia has a chance as Haney is probably bigger and the quicker fighter, his undefeated record is pretty much convincing that he's a tough opponent to be with in the ring.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 04, 2023, 11:57:37 AM
Nice couple of wins there.  Crazy that Dallas went on a 30-0 run and couldn't win the game.  Think it was one of the longest runs without winning the game in history. Lula was a beast.  Looking at the games ahead for the playin tourny and can't decide.  I think I have to lay on the Knicks as a Homer bet but can't decide on the others yet.
True. Luka is something and I think that is why the commentators of the LA Clippers during their game back on November 25 were not yet confident with their lead even though it was in double digits. The Mavericks are scary when they make runs and it was shown during that game against the OKC Thunder.
We should not forget what the Dallas, particularly Luka did to the Phoenix Suns when they beat by a huge margin in game 7.
Luka statement cannot be forgotten, he said .. "everybody's acting tough when they're up", and after that he really beat the Suns by making a huge statement.

Later 2 games. Quarter Final of the In-Season Tournament.

I kind of like how the Indiana Pacers are playing. Fast-paced type of game and I am rooting for them to claim the crown in this mini tourney.
Indiana Pacers - Boston Celtics - Indiana Pacers ML @2.65

My other bet:
Sacramento Kings - New Orleans Pelicans - Sacramento Kings (-2.5)
Oh, how I wish this would not be so much of a close game. Kings had been great but they were defeated by the Pelicans on their last meeting although it was just 5 points and it was the Pelicans' home.
If I am not mistaken, the Kings have not won against them in their two meetings. This will be both vengeance and the aim to win the NBA Cup.
Good luck everyone.

I like the Kings as well but there must be a change of line (increase ) since Sac is currently -4.

About the first game, I'm with you on this one, I like the home team, they are so offensive so ML is the right bet. Also, I'm thinking of betting the over 241, they should hit this.
404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: December 01, 2023, 12:36:55 PM
That is why we should plan it so well and seek some advice for additional ideas.
As we know, investment is one way of multiplying our money which makes some people decide to sell their properties that won't give them money. Of course, anyone can be attracted by hearing stories that they become rich because of Bitcoin encouraging others to take action as well. Some make it in the right way in selling their land and they spend some for crypto investment while there is another share for buying small properties. Indeed, smart investors know what is really they are doing and they think it so many times before making a decision.
405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: December 01, 2023, 11:53:25 AM
One of the mistakes I do is to trade when a coin has increased significantly in price. If it has increased, I go on short position. This is also what I do if the market price of a coin has decreased significantly, I go long. The mistake is that the market will continue in the direction and no reversal sometimes.  I later used averaging with it and I gain than before but it is very risky.
Yeah, entry and exit points are crucial for trading. I usually short when the market has sunk and long when the price is just continuously pumping because at some point, it will get corrected at least by a small margin.

I am still working on a few things:

1- Trying not to buy memecoins because as lucrative as they are, I haven't had any great experience yet.

2- Smaller profits are better than an emotional loss. Like if I miss out on a $100 profit and it moves down, I am likely to hold for too long and might end up in a loss. So I am building the mentality to accept $50 profit and move on.

3- Not every time I have to trade and this has been an issue for a long time.
We will be better and better as we continue trading and correct all the mistakes that we made. This is the reason why experience is the best teacher and we believe that committing mistakes is normal yet this will provide us with more ideas on how to manage our emotions in crucial situations and can solve them on time. We also find out that greediness is a huge factor in why many traders fail. Indeed, earning a small profit every day is more preferred than just earning one time weekly.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2023, 03:58:59 AM
Warriors are back!

Currently enjoying a huge lead in the first half against the clippers. They need this one as in the past games, they tend to fold in the 2nd half, so this time, no more messing around, they should continue their good shooting to prove to the fans that not only they can beat Spurs ( a bad team) on their home court but can also beat the Clippers who recently beat the Kings who put a spear on the Warriors heart with the big comeback win.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will your altcoin go? check it out with this tool on: November 30, 2023, 01:48:35 PM
Well, I appreciate how it works but yes, I couldn't say it was reliable enough to consider it. Might this be pretty helpful for those who are new but for me, I'd stick to the CMC and also check on the actual trade in a few exchanges.
And the question how high will my altcoins go? I have ETH and BNB, nothing shitcoins, so I was confident enough that even without this tool to check, I was certain that their price will go high together with Bitcoin. Besides, we don't need to be accurate where it goes but at least we know that our coins held will pump when bullish comes.
408  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 30, 2023, 12:58:18 PM
I do not believe that AIs will be successful with that prediction , and I was reading and no AI is capable of making predictions according to the programs they have , they are not Capable of doing so, for that Reason I think that it can be done as long as a short-term prediction, but what you say, although it is very possible,  I don't see it , because we are waiting for the prices that come to be high, not low, there are many Inconsistencies with the AIs, I don't trust the AIs, they are not at all Trust me, many are programming anything and it is not like that.

Perhaps, nobody believes it because we know that the market is unpredictable. And besides, these AI are just reliant on the data stored on their system. What have got is just speculation, not really the thing that is going to happen. That is why there is no reason to believe such a claim that AI is more accurate because it is indeed not.

In fact, seeing the current price of Bitcoin, the price is still stuck below $40k. If the situation changes, maybe the price will reach $40k but it is likely impossible to reach $45k.
409  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Ronaldo Faces $1 Billion Class Action Lawsuit For Promoting Binance!! on: November 30, 2023, 11:46:41 AM
Lots of news recently involving Binance. This is not great for the community as not only a popular celebrity is involve but billions of dollars are involve which is a significant amount of money.

Quote
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s highest paid athlete, is facing a class action lawsuit from Binance customers seeking $1 billion in damages for promoting the cryptocurrency exchange that agreed to pay $4 billion for violating the Bank Secrecy Act.

What's do you think is the implication of this news (not this only), is it the end of Binance, or this is just a trial that will make Binance stronger?

Binance CZ has already resigned from his position as CEO to avoid any loss of Binance exchange. Currently the Binance exchange is facing a bit more difficulty. Binance faces danger once again as danger signals continue. Is it right to take such action against Ronaldo? I think it is not right to take such action against Ronaldo. But since the problem is starting to escalate, it is expected to be resolved very soon. Binance Exchange will not suffer any loss. They will not suffer any loss and will pay all fines if necessary.
I think the SEC are working on a demolition job against Binance, they'll sue or support those who want to file a legal action about the exchange. CZ stepping down as CEO of Binance does not reduce the liability Binance is facing, so we are a bit puzzled here if Binance could survive on the biggest challenge of their business.

As to Ronaldo, well, I guess he has to face this problem. Just imagine, if this lawsuit against him will convict him, that would destroy his finances as $1B is more than his reported net worth.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2023, 11:16:17 AM

We are all surprise by the Magic's run, but let's see if they can sustain this run or not. As the Bucks and the Sixers are just behind them.

Currently behind Boston and has a chance to be on the number 1 spot if the win streak will continue.

Currently they are on a 8 win streak, while the longest win streak in the history of this team is 9, which were on the following seasons.

1 2010-11
2 2000-01
3 1994-95

So once they break that longest win streak, they'll make a history. And judging by their next scheduled games, they'll be up against the Wizards on their next at home, (will tie if they win), next is on the road against the Cavaliers (will make history if they win).

411  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: November 29, 2023, 09:55:21 PM
January, will still be sideways and will not show a reversal towards higher levels.
I think you are exaggerating, but maybe one of my or your predictions is correct.
because there will only be 2 choices up or down.
but you can consider other things too to strengthen your predictions.
Being wrong in price predictions is quite normal for everyone because everyone cannot see market conditions in the future even though they can speculate on things that have happened before. And I also think that in January maybe Bitcoin will still experience sideways like now, but it will probably happen at a different price because the potential increase in December can still occur so there is a possibility for Bitcoin going sideways in January in slightly different price levels.
The majority are expecting a bullish next year because of the halving which we can think that this year seems like we are moving uphill and it needs strong support of move. And I would say that despite the current movement of Bitcoin, still we are not sure that it will go straight high before this year-end, I was expecting some price dump like what normally happens in the market. But not like in the middle of the year that we get stuck below $30k, I was positive that it remains about $30k this December.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need to have a stop loss if we are 100% positive about a trade? on: November 29, 2023, 09:35:14 PM
It is not needed anymore if you are 100% sure about your trade. In fact, there is no reason to use a stop loss if you are a daily trader because you know when to sell. Definitely, as a trader we already know what is good for us and if this strategy really works well. Of course, we know what we are doing and what would help to improve our trading results. Therefore, if we think the use of stop loss is not necessary, then there is no reason to use it as well. This strategy is usually used for the starters but not those who have experience already.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: November 29, 2023, 12:33:04 PM
1% is okay, you'll have fun in gambling if that's a significant amount of money.

However, let's use some figures to really determine if it's still fun to gamble using 1% of your income (after tax)...

Say you are earning $1,000 per month, so your budget will only be $10 per month,... .meh... that's non fun and no way people would be able to follow that rule.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 11:45:33 AM
It looks like Celtics and Sixers started great in first 10 matches. Timberwolves is leading the West but they don't get much appreciation in the poll.

What's the hot discussion right now? Do you have any suggestion for our new poll? Let me know so I'll change it.

First team to get 20 wins maybe?

That's a good question to be in the poll? At least we don't have to wait forever to get the result, after that, you can put another question again. If that would be in the poll question, I guess my vote would be on the Magic to get the first 20 win. I'm just trying to be different as probably no one sees how good the magic this season too.

Warriors still got more games, it's now up to you guys if you would still trust them to disappoint you again -- Grin Grin

They keep disappointing us, it's not new anymore.

Warriors can't even on their home court, how can we expect to play better on the road.
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There's always a price to pay. on: November 28, 2023, 02:03:47 PM

Apart from the fact that we are all bitcoinner, I believe one common thing I find among us is the fact that we are all individual that are very passionate and committed at becoming successful at what we do and I hope this meets someone well out there.

The point is that, if we want to succeed and have a better life, then must work hard also because there is no easy way if getting achievements in life other than sacrificing time to useless and giving effort. We need to set the direction of our life where we want to go and work for it. We sometimes need to be ambitious and motivated from it because having these ambitions, we force ourselves to do something and complete our goal.
Aside from that, we don't need to compare ourselves to others but instead, focus on ourselves and do better things. Invest more Bitcoin and earn more...
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should start looking into Altcoins on: November 28, 2023, 01:27:16 PM
The Liquidity pouring into BTC will eventually start pouring into top altcoins and we can already see it happening with likes of $SOL , LINK , $INJ etc making massive moves !

The obvious play here is to learn and leverage on top altcoins to buy
Indeed, we should not fall into shitcoins and those projects that promise unrealistic rewards as they only fail in the end.
Better make a choice of established projects as we have a huge assurance that it pum when Bitcoin pumps, it goes along the market trend and yes, the confidence is there. Those on the top 10 altcoins are good options but have not to just focus on altcoins alone because the best option is still Bitcoin.
For me, I spend only 40% of my entire investment capital on altcoins and 60% goes to Bitcoin.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: November 28, 2023, 11:56:50 AM
That is the biggest mistake a gambler will make: that the money to gamble with comes from debt. Most of the gamblers who did that did not become successful, maybe even more in debt because the loan was probably used up immediately after losing.
Actually it will not become a problem if OP had handled it with care like doing some calculated risk. The problem with OP was that he got so ever to win back his losses and probably be profitable that he already forget how to manage the risk. I know there are gamblers out there who borrow money who are successful but they have a focus mindset, their actions arent' dicated by their emotion but by proper planning.

Maybe there are still people doing that, and maybe not all of the loans were used for gambling, but overall, this style remains a bad habit. This shouldn't be a good habit for the gamblers here.

The moral of OP's story here is don't be too emotional in gambing, learn how to accept losses as this is what will happen if we can't accept our losses, we'll continue to chase and we would only stop when don't have something to gamble anymore. It's hard to accept this, as OP mentioned, it needs for him to work 2 years to pay the amount he borrowed that he lose due to bad decision in gambling, but it is what it is now, everyone mistakes so he'll have to accept it and face the problem and solve it.

All I can suggest to you OP is take it easy, it has already happen so you have to accept the consequences of your action, and hopefully you'll learn from your mistake although in a hard way.

I'm sure OP will learn or had probably learned beacuse he already stopped gambling and now just sharing his unfortunate situation.

This is where newbies should see this as learning from the experience of others, they don't need to lose huge amount of money just like OP to learn, so OP is such a blessing to gamblers who are aggressive enough without thinking the negative possibilities.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 11:31:00 AM
So as expected earlier, the San Antonio Spurs led by a rookie phenom has lost 12 straight games. Luckily for Wemby, it is not the worst, the longest losing streak on the Spurs' franchise was 16. At the moment, they are on a long rest which can re-energize them a lot. I guess their next game against Atlanta is crucial, they should win it and cut the streak while they're at home. Otherwise, I'll start betting again that they'll make history in their franchise since they're facing stronger opposition after their game with Atlanta.

I don't think anyone expects phenomenal results from the Spurs this regular season. It seems Coach Pop is still experimenting and trying to find the best way for the team's further development. By the way, it's worth noting that Victor's individual stats continue to improve. So, if he doesn't get injured, he could really become a team leader in the next few seasons.

Of course, we hope that he won't get injured, as he is rare in the NBA. There are lots of big men, but he is different because he can play both outside and inside. As for Victor, if he could improve and add some muscle, he'll become unstoppable. However, that does not guarantee him winning a championship, as even Giannis needed fellow stars to support him before they finally won a championship.
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 27, 2023, 09:52:00 PM
The impact on the daily users is quite huge and they will decide not to use them but instead choose other coins that have cheap transaction fees.
Paying 2-3$ is quite acceptable but paying more than that seems to be difficult. We can simply think that as the demand continues to rise, fees may rise as well and we can expect this in the future. That is why I could imagine if you are in business and accepting Bitcoin as a payment option, I don't think it works, for sure they prefer to use fiat rather than paying $1 if they just buy an item worth $5.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 11:47:42 AM
They didn't perform well because they didn't win; it was a high-scoring game, and that's what they like. However, if they face a team that is good defensively, like the Clippers, they really struggle and can't compete well. If I recall correctly, they are on a 12-game losing streak now. This is not the journey we'd like to witness for a hyped rookie player who is expected to win the Rookie of the Year this season. There were even discussions before that Wemby also has a chance to win the MVP at the same time, but with the looks of it now, it's far from happening.

The Spurs experienced another defeat, previously they also lost to the Warriors but now to stronger team, namely the Nuggets with difference of 12 points.
But in today match against the Nuggets they performed quite well and indeed the Spurs are not balanced opponent when faced with the Nuggets.
Currently, Spurs are at the bottom of the western region and whether they will be better or not in the future is uncertain.
