today will be good ticket price again Smiley

I buy more and more coins every day. I believe that by the end of the year will begin the first wave of growth.
Why do you believe that?

Are there some catalysts coming up?
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 26, 2016, 09:18:12 AM
OK I've succumbed Smiley. I bought a small notebook/laptop so that I can stake my Stratis.
It is 1.44 ghz. 2 Gig ram. Intel atom Cpu. It has windows 10
I'm going to just use it for staking.

If I can configure the firewall I'll just give it access to the Stratis wallet. And other wallets if I stake other coins.
Any tips on how to do that?

I guess I'll put some anti virus too.

Which type and model is it? Also looking for one Smiley.

Asus e200h. I went to a cheap retailer and just bought one. The guy told me they only had the display model so offered it cheap...then he found one that had been ordered and then cancelled so I got it for the same price.

Also I see Wasda gave some firewall tips here..https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1512202.msg16605990#msg16605990

425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your dream cryptocurrency? on: October 25, 2016, 09:16:50 AM

* user-friendly wallet with offline transaction signing capability

What exactly does that mean?
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 25, 2016, 09:04:24 AM
The one problem I have with Stratis (apart from the er...irrational exuberence ...lol) is that I would have liked to have seen more money raised in the ICO. I think it debue'd very cheaply.
It's a peculiarity of the decentralised nature of blockchains that it becomes more difficult to fund good projects, in vitro.
In equity markets this is not a problem. One can issue more shares.

Of course Stratis has no problem now..they have plenty to fund development, but it would be nice...maybe...to have some options.

But these are just my random thoughts...as I'm more familiar with equity markets...and I probably have missed something important.
(this probably needs it's own thread)
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GovCoin announced on: October 25, 2016, 08:50:29 AM
So basically a centralized digital currency linked to and controlled by the government and thus influenced by central bankers - like what already exists with fiat. "...tied intimately to policy and credit." LOL, good luck with all that.

Actually there is a very good chance it would work, the vast majority of people have no problems with the current system and adding blockchain to the mix is going to be an upgrade and benefit everyone by increasing transparency, efficiency and lowering costs/fees. A government backed coin would be far easier for the masses to adopt than Bitcoin.
Except that with more transparency people could have more insight into how money and credit work, and there would be a risk that they might begin to ask more questions or complain more
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A good analogy for Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2016, 08:43:34 AM
Often when I talk to people about Bitcoin they ask questions that seem to indicate that they think Bitcoin is centralised, the way that most things are.
Is there a good analogy that one can use in order to illustrate the decentralised distributed nature of Bitcoin?
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [XC] Privacy Based Smart Chain with Automated Build System on: October 25, 2016, 07:58:42 AM
XC was huge I cried when it died and dumped really bad. I'm hopefully about this relaunch and about seeing XC back to its mighty!

Yeah, XC was huge when hit on mintpal, the ath was 0.004 but that was the history, now will be delisted from polo soon
I think it got to 0.005 on polo, before Mintpal listed it

STRAT has failed multiple times to hold above 6k. Resistance above 6k has only grown and now we're looking at around a month before the next road map item, which is happening towards the end of November, not at the beginning, as per Chris (CEO). You can definitely expect a major dip in price over the coming few weeks.

Jjjjaaaassssoooonnnn! You bitter boy.
I don't think he is bitter. He is just explaining what could happen. I think he is wrong to say "definitely", but I can follow his logic.

I can see why that could happen, but I'm not convinced it will. I think the signals are mixed and I'd  be  more optimistic....but who knows.
I'm looking to buy more

Look at Decred Network Statistic @ https://dcrstats.com/

840K DCR were distributed among crypto enthusiasts in an airdrop.
Thank you.
Do we know if any of those recipients contributed to the project?

I'm not seeking to criticise anyone, I know it was an experiment. I'm just curious how it went.

You not take proper precautions to make your computer safe.
What steps do you recommend to take?

It has been known since launch who guys behind decred:

https://www.companyzero.com/

are the same guys that created btcsuite

https://github.com/btcsuite
But didn't the Decred team seek out people who may have been able to assist and give them Decred coins for free?
How many of the people who were given DCR helped with the project?
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: October 18, 2016, 05:04:43 AM
when is the end of price at these coin

i think end is zero dollars

1 dcr=0 dollars

these coin final is the biggest shit

Nah..this happens to many coins (or even investments). For now there is more supply than demand.
I'm watching it and may buy some sometime.
I'd like to get a better idea of how many people are working on the project. Does any one know?

It was a interesting idea to give the coins away to people who might help. It would be good to get more insight into how this experiment worked out.

Hi I read a lot of the whitepaper this morning.
How can I get some Byteball?

1.Is there a sale?
2.What will the market cap be?
