to kill competition & clear out miners while BNT is mining on next gen.

wut ? 102 F is hot ?

at this part of the world is roughly 35 C day & 26 C night with 70-80+ % humidity all year long !

if you use good quality PCIE cables 16 awg, it will be able to take more than 250W. good idea to have air flowing thru them.

j4b's boards are good, no complaints, works very well.

i don't mean to jack the thread or try to say something -ve but i've always look into stuffs you post & share, thx for sharing but there are a few things you might want to reconsider in your setups such as . . .

-put the boxes or miners away from card boxes (from your garage?) try to use other materials ? - you did mention about jacks melting etc so the risk of fire is slightly higher than normal.

- looking good & better from before, more well organized miners & wiring, but i do recall from earlier days of your mining, it was a little "messy" sorry to be that direct but risk of fire is not something to joke around.

may i suggest a swamp cooler for your cooling needs as at the part of your world, you get more dry air than me over here. it's not expensive & you can diy it, some ample time to diy before the hot summer hits.

airflow direction of the mining room, make it 1 way in & no other way out, good +ve cold/cool air in & only 1 way out for the hot air, make sure they have only 1 way out or have a chance of flowing back in. *i had that issue long time back & once i stopped that, wow HUGE difference* . . . i can't see much as the pics are close ups.

sorry if i'm being too direct, but i do have some small concerns about fire hazard/risk or me trying to be a guru, always appreciate what you share to the community ! but i hope you take it from a +ve side of things. keep it up & keep on evolving !

thx again for your time to share lots of info with everyone.

** don't use those Y splitter or share 1 pice for 2 jacks... NEVER a good idea** use 1 for each 16 awg cables can handle it without any issues.

awesome ! signed up ! i was looking for something like this & wanting to do something like this, i kinda diy on my own on excel n it auto updates but of course it's not as fast as this.

good job & for the hardwork. looking fwd to more development.

For oil cooling, the 1300watt is too concentrated not to use the fans and/or high flow pump....

Immersion cooling is not for sissies. Its an industrial solution that uses industrial parts and systems for reliability and durability. If you are going that route, I would use a PLC to control and monitor the system. Low coolant level (as in a leak) shutdown or switchover to pump circuit B, monitor for primary pump failure  with auto switch over to the secondary pump, over heating auto shutdown, an messaging/paging/system alarm...etc etc.

Sounds overkill but in reality, what you spend for the miners is not peanuts, with the amount of heat that needs to be carried and disapated, are you really willing to trust some plastic 1/2 garden pump to run 24/7 for months on end... only to fail and have the oil at a stand still which then cooks your miners? All happening with out you knowing it?

Look for hydronic furnace pumps and valves. I would not use a USED automotive radiator, too much conductive water is trapped inside which will cycle through with the oil as neat little blobs which will attach to your miner circuit boards and short out the miners. Remove the AIR COOLING FANS, use pump to circulate the oil within the tank and a separate pump with fail over pump to pump the hot oil to the cooling tower or radiator with fan.

Just my 1/2 cent worth of babble.....

1 tank for 10 s7's in a stainless steel custom tank (leak should not be an issue) . . . when it's hot, it will get thin.

according to my research let's say a 100 lph pump in mineral oil it would be able to only pump about 30 lph.

yes need high flow pump due to viscosity, looking at triple 2000 lph pumps (adjustable) to circulate oil with jets at rad outlet into blades & the other pump will be sucking the hot oil behind the blades into rad's. the 3rd pump will be used to maintain/control flow of fluid from cold to hot or circulate within the tank for the up/down flow or as backup.

2*2000lph = 4000-70% (due to viscosity) = 1200 lph / 60 = approx. 20 lpm but i'll still minus about half of it for losses via rads, hoses etc still getting about 10 lpm flow rate. i could be wrong, someone to chime in would be good.

dual brand new sedan car rad's with fans.

might/might not remove fans, depending on the build but most likely removing them or replacing with the cheaper type of fans to assist in circulating the oil in tank.

looking into either phase cooling to assist in cooling or water chiller or tec but dual rad's with a cool room temp should be ok.

objective is to try to keep temps below 70 deg C, save some power from fans, each miner should be saving approx. 60W or more from fans alone so if it's 20 fans = 600W saved well still have to minus out the pumps & rad fans, but still should be able to save some power, dust free, dramatically reduced noise from 10 s7's per tank.

hunting for a small plastic container or aquarium to test on a single s7 & see how it goes. small test. i'm sure it'll work but in larger scale hmmmmm . . .

i'm working on oil immersion cooling, remove the fans n stickers then dip the whole s7 into oil bath. use a car radiator for cooling the oil, pumps to circulate the oil in tank.

have to "cheat" the fans. s7 needs to "see/detect" 2 fans or else it won't mine. not difficult to "cheat" it.

coming soon heh . . .

guys off topic question. Is it possible that pool operator, takes part of the hash and point to nicehash to again mine on the same pool? If its possible that will show double or that part hash and the pool owner takes the split?

yes its very possible.. there was a pool called bitcoinaffiliatnetwork.. he was accused of selling hash to rent..
the pool became very shady and nobody got paid for weeks.. i think it went offline with him owing 100s of bitcoin to people.

Most were owned to himself as he was the largest miner on the pool  especially toward the end, but some were ripped off and it's not like they did not have any warning. Even the ones that defended the pool, myself included, started warning miners to get out but some did not listen.

yeps. lucky i bailed out early & nothing owed to me, well there are some small amount of altcoins but it's ok.

back to topic, the block party continues here @ K pool.
435  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [25 PH] ** 5x AVALON6 GIVEAWAY ** Kano CKPool (kano.is) [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,JP on: February 24, 2016, 03:37:42 PM
Kano, can the pool benefit from confirming its own payouts and also can it be controlled or forced to happened  Huh
That's what I already do.
I prioritise our payouts in our miner work so that any payouts not confirmed already should be in any blocks we find.
i would hope that the you the operator would get some financial relief for the cost of sending the payouts just a thought

i think a daily payout would help. well that depends on kano though. i'm sure there are more work to be done n refined for the pool & eventually it would be sorted out (payouts).

that's why there are fees (0.9%) to relief the sending of payouts.

let's get some blocks soon to get payout confirmed.

block party on it's way.

i'm not on anyone's side & have been really busy recently but WoW, just look at the trust ratings.

Don't even need to know abt the full details. Shows it all on the trust ratings.

Now whereisblock ? hungry, need block. sorry forgot the (S)

Wow, if block parties like this keep happening then I'm going to need to write a script to automate retrieving payment info from my wallet and entering it into the spreadsheet I use to track my mining!  I'm not complaining!

i'm doing it manually now, copy/paste.

appreciate if you could a script to automate it.

TIA
