PS: I still think the default 3 points to opponent of whoever fails to submit their answers is fair, and the additional -1 point is very cool, but 3-0 scoreline still feel a bit much in my opinion as we all saw how much the goal difference mattered towards the end, and it's almost out of ordinary to defeat your opponent by 3 points margin, more so given the number of matches per season, and goal difference being the first metric for ranking for equal points makes it quite unbalanced imo, perhaps when points are tied H2H record should be the first metric for the decider, I mean that way it becomes fairer and at least first take a some default 3-0 scoreline that some might have been lucky enough to get more than once or twice, H2H in this light pitch them against their direct contenders first.

@Trofo @cryptofrka all good with the addy, however, I'm also 1 mBTC indebted to the relegated Team cryptofrka don't forget to deduct from the final rewards, I'd like him to get a good goalkeeper for Division 2, he'll be needing it  Grin

Harko and casper are giants. They improved on last season's performances, staying near the top but credit to mv1986 and leea-1334. Those two went from Div3 (hard-fought playoffs, by the way) to Div2 (top 2, by the way) to Div1 and immediately staked their claim to the top half of Div1. That's three seasons of consistency, and I think I understand now who the cream really are. Quiet assassins...

I think jeremypwr would be back stronger, he's got a whole lot to do and that's the only thing I could make of his performance of last season compared to this, na, he's fashow better than that!

As for me, I think I could have done better too, but one too many real life crises here and there be getting to me and in my way to be honest, so to a better year ahead, it's all or nothing as I'll be coming with full freaking force!

The bigger props should got vd309, casperBGD, leea-1334, mitchr4 they were a force to reckon with for the season, and vd309 was the most consistent almost running away with the prize since mid-season, if I'm not mistaken.

When choosing players, I took into account the empty game week. Me and cryptofrka (as he said earlier) are not even in the top 5 and the gap from first place is about 90 points, and the inclusion of Salah and his appointment as captain was logical.

There are some rumors that Salah has renewed his hamstring injury and that he's doubtful for the Luton game.
If that happens, we don't get another captain for that game (I asked Trofo already), which means that we'll get destroyed - Haaland's got an easy game coming.

I based all on Salah vs Luton, used both my wildcard and my triple captain for that to happen. Nothing's going my way recently, in any of the competitions.

FPL should just make all new prospective transfers revocable at least until the current transfer deadline has elapsed  Lips sealed Angry Angry

Speaking of Salah, I think this might this could be some cautionary motive, because he sprinted quite a lot (unplanned, I'd say!) on Saturday, and we all know how reoccurring hamstring troubles can be with that, meanwhile there is a partially more important fixture against Chelsea that he could be saved for, but I doubt he wouldn't be getting a some playing time vs Luton, only problem is that they're a quite physical team as well, which could all warrant the necessary cautions being taken so as to not aggravate the problem.

That being said, Haaland does have a whole lot of making up to do!!!

I'm not confident at all in my answers so you might have the edge here haha.

My form is so shit that there's nothing for you to worry about Grin

2mBTC side bet accepted!

I guess someone is desperately sourcing for revenue to secure even a stay in the Division 2, wow. How many economic lever has your club activated yet ?

Perhaps, you should consider selling 50-70% ownership to foreign investors, I'm sure there are some whales with fat cheque books in Division 3 that would be willing to claim even complete ownership of a supposed "Mob Boss" club.

Fitting end to the great season Smiley Hopefully next one will be just as exciting as this one. Tables will be updated soon so you guys will actually have it confirmed where you finished.

Net week we have promotion/relegation playoffs. And then cup final week after. We decided to separate the two since chi20 is playing in both.

Fitting end is actually an understatement given how the table could have turned if the game had continue for less than 2 minutes more at 1-1, I wish someone could actually make a standing of the final standings as well as what the standing would have been if the game had end a draw, @cryptofrka will ya ? at least you have a thousand bucks reason to, don't you ?

Great tension between Mallorca-Real sociedad.. Mallorca takes the lead 1-0 then Sociedad equalises. And now Mallorca gets a red card just before the break.. This will be an exciting second half😁

Crazy game hahah, I'm watching. Sociedad have the upper hand with an extra player of course, but Mallorca has been defending well throughout most of the game.
Sociedad is @5 odds to win now, I'm actually thinking of adding more money to them winning. This will be intense until the last second.

Hell Yeah!

I hope you did add some extra money on them to win the game ? Mallorca are the real MVPs when it comes to effective time wasting, I watched for final 35-38 minutes and I couldn't believe how many chance Real Sociedad have tried to carve out but to no avail and Mallorca effective take at least one or two minutes off the clock!

what an end for a season
Sociedad is holding many destines around them, as far I counted it is cryptofrka and LTU for relegation, CLS63 and Harkorede for better placement, and there is a bunch of people on 25 points

can't watch the match, but will certianly follow score

I doubt I'll be watching the game either but then there is so much on the line for quite a number of us, I didn't check the permutation but then I think I could end up from 3rd to probably 6th or 7th, If Real Sociedad doesn't win, and just like cryptofrka said I don't see them as team I would like to have my hopes up on right, not even against an awful team like Mallorca, but I placed myself in this situation to begin with, so it is a case of que sera sera now, I'd say.

So many trash talk to look forward to next season, Cro2 and Igebotz in single group, who could have imagine, I'll be very much observant though, but from afar in the penthouse by the way...  Congratulations and welcome to the top division @notblox1, you know you might need to fasten your seat belt, because it is never an easy ride here by any stretch.

Getting Mo Salah right this game week doesn't seem logical to me, especially given the fact they have blank week for the next round, That'd be tying some decent funds up that could into bringing in other players with better game weeks and assured playing time, but it's the FPL, we've more weird things happen right ?

For me it does, having him triple captain in 120 minutes I expected him to play against bad opposition is a no-brainer. I have a plan for the blank week, it's only 1 game for Salah and he'll be benched, while Jota will be sold.
I simply have to go with a differentiator, that was my reasoning. That's why I'll play the rest of the season without Haaland as well.

I'm in 8th, top 5 get the prizes. If I play with logic, the best I can do is 5th - and that's a big maybe.
If I risk it, I'll probably drop 10 places but 8th gives me nothing - so this was a logical risk to take.

I guess your explanation makes it make the most sense right with little or nothing to play for, I mean that was my reason for parting ways with Saka a couple of game weeks ago, but he has decided to keep dropping the bombshell on me week in week out, I'm consider going beserk too very soon with my WC, it's almost all or nothing O'clock  Huh Huh
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 18, 2024, 05:56:58 AM
3-point contest was fun and very challenging as all players scored 20+ in first round. Dame Time ended it the way it suited him.
Dunk contest was mid. It was weird that Jaylen Brown made it to the finals. Toppin had better dunks. McClung had no competition again, so he didn't dunk very differently than last year. The NBA management has to do something about the jury. Grin

The Dunk contest was highly flawed and it was obvious today again, there was no direct metric for scoring points, especially in the first round both Jaquez and Toppin should have better scores but then because these guys are tall their dunk gets underscored perhaps because it was considered to easy for them, there was no way Jaylen Brown should have outscored either Toppin or Jaquez for their first attempts in the first round, I guess that's why we don't see a lot of super stars join the competition anymore not even guys from their sophomore would be joining if these discrepancies continue.

Wow! I fumbled it at the very end, now it seems the weight of the world is resting on the shoulders of Real Sociedad to win against Mallorca, Sociedad are the slight favourite away from home, but injury ravaged at the same time, this is going to be an huge and interesting end to season finale here.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 18, 2024, 03:09:48 AM
I don't see much competition for Mac McClung in the slam dunk contest. He should be able to defend his title. I wish i had taken him at 1.60, odds have dropped a lot since it first opened, making it almost unplayable now.

My only bet for tonight is Lauri Markkanen to score 20+ in R1. I might even sprinkle some on him to win the contest, why not? Lauri is shooting 40% on the season, /L5 at 42%. He did compete in Utah last year and finished with 20 despite missing both deep balls and going 1/5 on his moneyball rack. He needs to move the moneyball rack from being at the end though, you get there in rhythm and all but also fatigued. It should be placed on the left wing or at the top of the key, where Lauri shoots best.

Right on the money for you again, I was going to go for KAT anyways but one nap too long for me, yet again, I only met Malik Beasley shooting in the first round.

However, it was Dame time yet again, he defended his title, KAT was only able to make the final round.

cryptofrka and icopress, I see what you did there with that Salah selection. You both took very risky bets on Salah that is paying off right now and fueled by injuries of Jota and possibly, Nunez. Goodluck for the remainder of the GW, great start so far.

I share in your pains, My Jota + Nunez combo has been nuked so hard. I will wait for Nunez injury report but it'd be much worse if neither Nunez and Jota plays the next game against Luton town. Fingers crossed and hopeful to still get much more from this GW. Not going as planned so far.

Getting Mo Salah right this game week doesn't seem logical to me, especially given the fact they have blank week for the next round, That'd be tying some decent funds up that could into bringing in other players with better game weeks and assured playing time, but it's the FPL, we've more weird things happen right ?

Jota and Nunez looked very bright into the game, and they could have contributed for 2 to 3 goals combined if the unfortunate injuries hadn't happened, and neither would Salah have played more than some 10-15 minutes just freshen up, however, it is what it is!
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2024, 01:19:25 PM
Quite a blow to lose Diogo Jota too early into a double game week that I expected way too much returns from him, but he's at least pay some sort of dividends in the short period he played for with that assist that Darwin Nunez was able to convert perfectly.

Now Mo Salah is officially back  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

V. Williams Jr. 5+ assists / M. Beasley 2+ 3pts @1.83  won

Vince Williams Jr. is SG/SF who's been getting a lot of minutes playing the point for the Grizzlies. I hope Bucks won't be too arsed to play defense tonight just days before the All-Star Weekend. Regardless if it's a blowout or not kid is locked to get 35+ minutes of action. He's covered 5+ assists in 5/L5 (averaging 7.4 in that period).

Beasley has covered 2+ 3pts in 4/L5, he and Lillard will compete in the three-point contest, so perhaps a shootout between the two? This game gonna make a great practice since the Grizz defense is non-existent, they give a shit ton of open looks from three.

Congratulations on that one mate, Memphis Grizzlies team really stepped so that Malik Beasley 2+ 3pts was really a close one, wasn't it ? dude shot 1/7 all night long from the 3pt range, he made his 2nd 3pt shot with just 46 seconds left on the clock, and he got one more immediately on the Bucks next possession with just 15 seconds interval, If it were to me I probably would have called it a night, because I was expecting Damian Lillard to be the one take those 2 3pts to close the margin of game.

Grats one more!

-----------------------------

What are your thoughts on NBA All Star Night ? Who you for the 3 point contest and the Slam dunk as well, could KAT pull this off again like he did a few years, I remember vividly how we had that conversation right on this thread.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: February 16, 2024, 04:24:51 AM
Milan had domination during the match, not only in ball possession but also in other cases. During the match, Milan was so calmly attacking. Well, they may not be too offensive in the first half. But it is quite different in the second half where Milan did more attacks and possession. That is why Rennes seems not having nay chance to get closer into Milan defense. This is a good start for Milan, so that they really can join the next qualification. Because I am also sure enough that in the second leg, Milan will be also leading.

AC Milan vs Rennes can be considered an already completed tie in my opinion, because there is no way this Rennes team would over such deficit against Milan, the most they can even get at their home in the 2nd leg would be a draw.

--------------------------

Is anyone else following how awful Ajax have become the season, they turned what should have been easy for them into a 2 goal deficit, fortunately enough for them they were able to recover during the additional minutes of the second half, first from the penalty spot, with Bodo/Glimt down to 10 men, and restored parity in the 96th minute of the game. Ajax would be playing the second leg away from home, and even though I'd be expecting them to win and advance to the next round, but I strongly doubt they can go far in the tournament when they face a better team and a real test.

In a competition like this one you can't afford to fallback by putting everything in one basket at this stage unless you ready to hit rock bottom should the zero points follow.

And it's commendable that you applied your law of probability well and showed your risk management skills, otherwise had Bayern done justice this would have been another story Roll Eyes !!!

And personally my gut feeling told me to go with a Bayern besting but I had already submitted my picks and no VAR here for my late change...
That's the situation for me in Pot B, currently at the near bottom of the leaderboard with little stake to lose.  Cheesy

I also imagined Bayern potentially waking up any time, which led me to make a plan B as i've already made the mistake of going all in one of the previous weeks, gaining nothing in the end.

With nothing to lose it is easier chase those wild points, but then it's just tougher to recognize which team would actually yield those upset, Lazio could have been quite a easy pick given how Bayern Munich were totally humbled by Leverkusen, but that still doesn't mean one would go all in comfortable on such odds, however we might see a lot of people going against Bayern in the 2nd leg, especially if the odds is mouth watering, I mean like between 7-10 Odds.

Also, how long does it take before the weekly free bets are credited? I just don't want to waste it since they usually expire in a few days.

It depends on how early the table are finalized and confirmed by Trofo and cryptofrka, then they send the usernames to their correspondent on Sportsbet.io, usually they are always credited on Mondays/Tuesdays, If you don't get them then, you'll the following week Monday or Tuesday. However, if you use Sportsbet often, I doubt you'll miss it, because if even without winning a free bets, the ditch free bets occasional too. Finally, more so, I think jeremypwr do announce when the free bets have been credited, but there are just way too many pool for him to always make such announcement in each one of them.

It’s not out of the ordinary what grannies could mean to a lot of persons. Those whose life were built around them and are used to taking their calls. It’s better he be out than have another emotionally imbalanced player on the pitch. You wouldn’t find the quality you seek from a mourning player.

It could also be dependent on close they and whether it's paternal or maternal, because at least from this part of the world most people tend to be closer to their maternal side of the family and we only get to hear it when some for dies from the paternal side, sometimes even very late.

Given how significant Haaland is to both the EPL and FPL, I'm very sure there would have been some major updates about him likely to be away from the team for personal reason and whatnot.

But regardless, I was already thinking whether or not to use my Triple Captain chip yet, perhaps this is a significant sign.

Good thing you were joking about 100 BTC; if I lose, even my kidney/eye/liver etc wouldn't fetch more than 1 BTC at best market rates Wink

Lies! Coming from an early Bitcoiner, I'm sure your stash of BTC is 3 worth figures, if not 4  Cheesy

If he doesn't have a special occasion you are absolutely right. However this situation can vary from person to person. For example as my grandmother and grandfather raised me their loss would affect me more than my parents'.

He'll surely pay his respect and all, but I don't think that will keep him away from the team, honestly knowing fully well that he barely just returned from injury and would need all the playing time he can get to be anywhere near being as match fit as possible and finding his incredible as well.

---------------------------------------------

I'm still tripping down on Liverpool even without Trent Arnold, My team would be fine even for Liverpool's blank week, because Liverpool fixture after the blank week still look pretty except for a fixture against Man City.
