442  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Mentor [Crypto Trading] on: December 21, 2019, 01:13:37 AM
" payment is not necessary"

What does this mean? You're not looking to pay someone to mentor you?

TA is one of those things that everyone thinks they are an expert in, so you are going to find a lot of people who might actually think they are knowledgeable but actually suck. I would recommend going on YouTube and watching videos on TA or reading accredited websites.

446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: December 20, 2019, 02:00:34 PM
Bitcoin is a very useful money. I think it's the best way to send money over long distances. You pay low fees and the transaction takes place quickly. I use bitcoin for this purpose. I also bought games from Steam with Bitcoin.

It is nice to send money quickly, however because of the price changes you would need to sell the bitcoin instantly.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fleas are going down! on: December 20, 2019, 01:58:25 PM
Bitcoin price is not rising. Why doesn't it rise? Because investors were scared. New stories require new investors to enter the market. Bitcoin needs a new exciting development. The year 2020 could be better for bitcoin.

I am talking about the fees. Bitcoins fees were high and they have come down a little bit.

Everyone always says that the next year will be better for Bitcoin....

Bitcoin is a very risky money. Bitcoin price is constantly moving. $ 1000-wide movements are happening very quickly. How to trust such a vibrant market. People are afraid to use bitcoin. The market needs to become more stable.

If people are waiting for the price to not move, then what is the advantage over a stablecoin? If you are worried about the pegged USD value of a bitcoin, then what is the real difference?
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking into blockchain courses on: December 18, 2019, 07:19:26 PM
There's lot of free ways to learn more about blockchain, however, we need to know what you're aiming to learn.

Are you trying to learn about how cryptocurrencies work in general?
How blockchains are being used?
How to code within a blockchain?

Etc

We need to know the area you are looking to explore.
452  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need your advice (bloggers, bounty hunters) on: December 17, 2019, 12:28:01 AM
I always love when people work on cryptocurrency projects that don't involve a token/coin.

I don't think this is a good idea though, anything that has to do with bounties and free writing will be more of a pain than it is worth.

The categories list is not final of course. Everyone sick of tokens, for sure. You think the idea of giving writers such platform is not good? Can you explain why in few words?

Writers have better value positing on their personal Mediums, or submitting to a popular news site with millions of views. Doesn't make much sense to post their original content on a brand new site.

There needs to be a unique idea and a strong marketing strategy to make something like this work.

How to create a good Project Development Thread

OVERVIEW: I have seen so many threads that are either "ANN" which are not allowed in this section, or threads that are simply links that don't offer any useful information. So I have decided to make a simple guide to make your threads more interesting and useful.

Description: A description of the project you are working on should contain information as to what the project is all about. You can give information on the background of the project and people that are involved if that is public information. It is often helpful to add information on your role on the project as well so Bitcointalk users know if you are an owner or just excited customer.

Development Timeline: A Development Timeline is an excellent way to keep users in the loop on the development side of your project. A timeline can include updates that you are planning, or can be a list of updates on your project.

Example:
Jan- We launched our website
Feb-
2/2/19 We are almost done creating our product.
2/19/19 We launched our first product
Mar- We received our first customer
Apr- Website Updates
May- Over 1,000 customers
Jun- We are getting ready to launch our second product
Jul- We are accepting ETH as a payment in addition to BTC
Aug- We are now able to do business in Canada
Sep- We have reached over 15 employees
Oct- New office opening in FL USA
Nov- We are growing our customers
Dec- NA

This is very helpful because it shows users who may have just stumbled on your project, all the advancements you have made. It can also show users who are following your project waiting for it to launch the new updates that will be coming soon etc

Helpful Links: It is always a good idea to have a hyperlink of your website, or information on where people can learn more. However this should not be the bulk of the thread, you should have quality information about it.

User contributions:  Explain to users how they can help your project. Maybe you are small and want to hire developers or other positions, so if you are then you can explain the help that you need. Maybe you want to call users to sign up for a newsletter to be notified when your project is life, and that they can help by sharing your project on social media.

Engaging the community: You want the community to engage with your project and ask questions. So you will want a nice section explaining that if anyone has any questions to ask, or give them an outlet to ask questions.

Feel free to check out my PSA post on how to create a good Project Development thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5210197.0

This thread is missing a lot of valuable information that would make it much more engaging and useful. People don't want to click random links.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: December 16, 2019, 04:44:16 PM
Because most of the people see bitcoin as something related to stocks. They don't focus on the purpose of it and the technology behind it. And I think it sucks because bitcoin is more than an investment that you can hold on for years and wait for it to grow while you are dreaming of a big house. May the government allow it to be used on things such as payments.

We can just use exchanges if they are not in favor of it. Government do not like these things to start with and even if they accepted it, it will also based on the people if they want to use it. In our country, crypto currencies are not actually banned but here in our place, I don't see anyone using it so exchanges is my partner here.

I am not sure what you are saying here.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: December 16, 2019, 04:33:11 PM
Interesting very feasible once the utilities start accepted bitcoin....its funny we all need the internet ISPs even in order to use bitcon core, or this fourm, yet I have not seen any news of major telco or ISP accepting BTC...

Imaging automatic withdrawals one day with a trusted wallet architecture for paying the monthly utilities. Daily use will skyrocket.

Bitcoin needs to be an asset that people want to use. The cryptocurrency majority, only use it as an investment or rare sends.
458  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Checkers - Play checkers competitively placing bets on: December 14, 2019, 10:23:55 PM
Isn't checkers the same as chess in the respect that they can be "move generated"? Aren't their programs online that give you the solution to a certain board, and would help people cheat against other opponents?

Like for example, on chess.com there are anti cheating software that is used to help detect against people cheating, but even then it is not always found.

This is certainly a problem in the cryptocurrency market that a lot of people over look, or just don't want to admit.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fleas are going down! on: December 14, 2019, 10:18:34 PM
How the hell did you get fleas and fees mixed? I can understand saying fea and not fee or vice versa but there is an "l" there my dear man. Is this so difficult to check before hitting post? Can you not edit it now? I guess not...

Bitcoin fees have been usually for the past few months and I have been paying between $0.32-$0.50 which I think is fair and the transactions were very quick. What are you unhappy about? How much would you like to pay? How fast would you like it to be and how fast has it been for you lately that you feel the need to complain? I don't think transaction fees are a big thing to worry about. The bank charges the same amount but the bank has monthly costs too. My bank is $12 a month and then $0.20 $0.50 for each transaction. This is $12 more than bitcoin. I get nothing for my $12.

Do people seriously not understand humor?

Bitcoin transaction costs have been extremely high (in terms of the crypto market) but have recently started coming down.

Here's the thing about crypto. We have a certain expectation for the market and economy. So I don't care if a regular transaction is 100x the cost of a cryptocurrency transaction. I have been in the community for a long long time, and know what to expect.
