441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Backlog in the Blockchain on: February 07, 2017, 02:57:59 PM
If you want a smaller fees in bitcoin stay overnight before your bitcoin goes inside your wallet. Anyway it's cheaper to send btc using blockchain.info wallets this is according to my experience. That site also has a lightning fast transaction compared to other sites. So when you are doing business ask your client to use blockchain.info wallets so you can receive their payments very fast.
Facepalm!
Transactions are processed by miners on the blockchain, it has zero to do with which wallte you use!  It may well be that Blockchain has a higher standard fee that other wallets, you can see that as a positive or negative.

Bitcoin is getting a bit expensive to send at the moment. The main issue for me is sending from one wallet to another, I don't want to pay much for that, but at the moment it just won't be processed without a decent sized fee.

I will ignore the LTC stuff, I don't want to own LTC, so don't care how cheap it is to transfer it!
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you support Spoetnik if he had an ICO? on: February 06, 2017, 07:59:49 PM
No, he will run away with our fund, he has no coding technical, either marketing technical, everyday we see he is cursing all altcoins, he is only trolling but won't give us profit.

Ahh you see that is the thing.. i HAVE given you all profit.
I have been the biggest whipping post in all of Crypto.
Time after time i had people PM me shit and say ..Post it !
And they said because they didn't want to take the flack for it.
I take the heat and the punishment for speaking out while YOU ALL reap the rewards.

which is ?

A cleaner scene.

For example.. Carbon Coin would have lured in more victims had i not exposed it.

Problem is you all don't remember anything i have done for you and the scene over all.
It's a greedy, selfish and jealous little what have you done for me lately scene.

It was me who went at Gliss at CoinMarketCap about doing something about people gaming the charts.
..i got changes made that ALL OF YOU benefited from.
The rest of you sit around with your thumb up your ass counting your shitcoin ROI'z.
Oh and if Gliss wants to pop up here disputing that ?
I can dig up the old posts then direct him to my recent topic asking him to make changes putting him on the spot AGAIN.

Dash guys sure love my "FUD" don't they Wink
Does that benefit me ?
Not one bit.. never owned any Dash or Monero.

Ever heard of GOX or Cryptsy ? I warned you all LOUDLY before both started with heavy drama.
Millions of times over again i have been right.
It's along list of me being right  Cool

"Give you profit" ?

Who the fuck says i am here to GIVE YOU PROFIT ?

LOL

You dumb fucking kidiots STILL don't get it.

It's not about "giving you profits".

It's about making a god damn currency and getting it USED.
Not your govt compliant centralized Poloniex Exchange ROI's  Roll Eyes

This forum contains the stupidest fucking morons planet earth has to offer.
I am here helping the stupid..
As i get lipped off by idiots who "know better" hahhaha

You pathetic little clowns got fuck all on me.
I made thousands doing this rubbing my empty fingers together... rubbing 0 cents and 0 cents together.
I took a core 2 duo e7500 CPU mining FTC / LTC Quark etc and turned it into $12,000.00 pure profit.
While you snot nose greedy little shits went and asked mommy and daddy for money to BUY shitcoins.
What i did took pure skill and perseverance.
What you little idiots did was lazy and stupid.

I made 12 grand while TRYING my best to have integrity while you sleazy pieces of shit out there mad no effort.
DCGirl from Cryptsy sat around flogging like a deceitful shill every piece of shit scam coin that was hyped up every month and i mocked her for it over and over as she exploded in rage at me over it only..
For the staff there to make her a Moderator and hire her to do work.

My reward ? Nada.
I get spit on and mouthed off and insulted and called a fucking troll..

for having INTEGRITY

..and trying to teach all you scammy sleazy dumb fucks how to MAKE MONEY WITH INTEGRITY

Yup.
That has been the point all along guys.
You show up here and you have 2 choices.. scammy route or legit route.
I have been here endlessly battling the scummy maggots pushing the immoral corrupt route.
Trying to tell you all that the LEGIT route *CAN* if you try and be patient make your FAR MORE MONEY.

You think you know better ?
I can showcase the trail of victims and mouthy idiots who have been taken down that lay at my feet as i stand on them.. RIGHT NOW !

There is a massive list of mouthy little dick heads that are gone or in hiding.. while i am here holding my head up high.
All the other BobSurplus's etc can scurry around in the shadows with dummy-troll accounts running their mouth.. trying to organize "pumps" as their mighty grandiose "contribution" to crypto.

Code ? I have written code here and posted it as well as other places on the web for damn near 20 years.
I have a folder on my HDD with a large collection of my past projects saved.
Such as a file sharing program named after me.

Reality is you guys love to take pot shots at me because your jealous you are a nobody and have done nothing.

I am dealing with idiots here.
What would i do if i had a coin started ?
I'd get the damn thing adopted  ROFL

WOW what a concept huh ?

But my job would be to and i quote.. "Give you profits" ?

Maybe quit hiring Pyramid Scheme Facilitators / Organizers..
and hire a dev who has a vision for getting his "coin" used by the world.

Get this.. THAT would "give you profits"  Roll Eyes

Say what you want about me but who else has shown any concern for the victims of crypto scammy bullshit ?
Feel free to line up and show your hand and provide documented proof.
(the kind of proof i have to back up anything i said above such as my wallet TX records or code saved)
..nope, you are all busy counting the money you made off them and calling me a "Troll"
Crying FUD for bucks $$$

LOL my job is to "give you profits" hahahahhahaha ..ok "Full Member"

If you actually mean what you post most of the time, then you wouldn't want to release an alt-coin and if you did, you wouldn't have an ICO to release it.

I wouldn't invest because it would be anathema to him, so I would expect him to purposely make it fail, so he could laugh and say that everyone who invested is an idiot (and he would be right!)
443  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: February 06, 2017, 02:16:41 PM
Paypal charges 1.9% but for that you get buyer insurance.  That is obviously much more than I would be willing to spend.
I would say 0.1% would be a fair price, so 1c to send $10 or 1mBTC per BTC sent.

It kind of depends though, when I send Bitcoin from one wallet to another, I basically want to do it for free. When I send it to someone else or an exchange or I buy something, I am happy to pay 0.1% as mentioned above.
444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin trap more new user in coming years on: February 06, 2017, 02:08:02 PM
As I had encountered that day by day more people are joining bitcoin inspite of its sky rocketing price and day by day more and more government and other agencies are coming against bitcoin so will bitcoin stay alive and will it be able to invite new user in the network?

Yet USD exchange volumes are massively down, and now much of the smoke and mirrors of the Chinese exchanges have been taken away, volume/interest isn't much better over there either. Bitcoin may well go on to take out the ATH, but realise, this is highly cornered and manufactured market, controlled by a small cabal who are up to thier necks in the shit. Those who are most heavily invested in Bitcoin and have the most interest in ramping it, and keeping it above a certain level, are invested on sitting on a golden egg which may never hatch.

Bitcoin is a hugely risky investment, and at these prices, with not a whole lot of potential upside either when considering the risks involved......Bitcoin isn't Amazon stock.
Well exactly. People say that it is different this time because of the infrastructure and people really using Bitcoin now.
Who actually uses Bitcoin as a currency though?  The biggest use was to buy drugs online, that might still be the main use, I don't know.

Next is gambling. What else? I mean there are lots of things you can use it for, but 99% of the time you can just use fiat instead and hold your Bitcoin instead.

It is being used as a commodity, I don't think it traps users, I think people hear about it, buy a small amount, maybe gamble it or sit on it, then forget about it or sell.  What else are they supposed to do with it!?
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with SegWit support on: February 05, 2017, 04:08:28 PM
Did Litecoin really nees segwit or its a test for its big brother BTC ?
You can even have a solid argument for Litecoins but other coins you ask yourself why do they even need SeqWit, some don't even have a daily trade volume of $1000, so why do you want to implement SeqWit

for all of them pure simple hype, thats the only reason it has been implemented, litecoin also
SegWit is simple hype and it means nothing for LTC.
Or we will see ethereum try to implement SegWit.

What a joke!!!!!

More hype and more money, simple basic understanding about SegWit in altcoin.
LTC will never be as highly used as Bitcoin AND it can process transactions 4 times as fast as Bitcoin.
It can use Segwit, or not, it doesn't matter, it isn't limited by the number of transactions that it can process.

I can't think of an Alt that needs Segwit. Have any ever been maxed out and started to build a large number of unconfirmed transactions?
446  Economy / Economics / Re: How world currencies compare to Bitcoin in terms of "market capitalization" on: February 05, 2017, 03:59:35 PM

I'm not sure that Russia uses M1 (the UK doesn't) so those values you got from trading economics website were probably flawed.  Here from the mouth of the bear is the narrow money supply in Russia:

 source: https://www.cbr.ru/Eng/statistics/?PrtId=indcalendar
9 trillion rubles is about $150 billion, much less that I expected, but still 10 times that of Bitcoin.

If they din't use M1, what do they use? Do you mean that they only show the fractionally reserved money supply?
447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold Price Parity Watch on: February 04, 2017, 09:22:23 AM
Quote

Bitcoin belongs above gold because bitcoin is a better way to store value than a physical piece of metal that is easily confiscable when you need to cross borders.

Are you saying that 1 Bitcoin should be worth more than 1 troy ounce of Gold?
That means Bitcoin has to rise by $200 or so, and could happen soon.

It seems very unlikely that Bitcoin will be worth more than Gold though. All the gold in the world is worth about $7 Trillion, Bitcoin is worth $16.5 billion, or $0.0165 trillion, or 0.23% of the value.  I don't think that gap will be bridged any time soon (ever).
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no "proper" price for bitcoin on: February 04, 2017, 09:14:04 AM
Welcome to Economics 101 lol. There is no "proper" pricing for anything, it's all subjective.
It's worth what people are willing to buy it for.  At the moment that is about $1010 on US exchanges.
I don't really see any extra depth to the question/statement.

Does Bitcoin have an intrinsic worth?. Do and should mining costs be related to the price?  Those are tougher questions. The price is about $1010 at an exchange.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there an increased number of newbies wanting to create a new altcoin? on: February 04, 2017, 09:10:34 AM
recently i keep seeing new people, having no knowledge of what counts, wanting to start a new cryptocurrency (an altcoin) of their own.
these people that i am talking about
have little to no knowledge of programming.
have no knowledge of cryptography.
have no knowledge of economics.
and more importantly they have zero experience.

so why do they want to create a new altcoin? is this market turning into such a crappy place that they can make their own altcoin and list it somewhere to even be exchanged against bitcoin?!

my theory is that it is mostly the fault of crappy exchanges such as yobit that list literary anything on their exchange allowing these types of altcoin to live.
They hear about Bitcoin for the first time, and are excited and buy a little bit and start trying to increase how much they have (look at how many threads are about increasing 1BTC into 10BTC or alike)

They realise you can trade Bitcoin for Alts, which offers a chance to increase your profits quickly (losses too). The invest in a few pyramids and ICOs and lose their money.

They realise how dodgy the whole Alts system is, and think 'I could do that!', but they don't know how, so they ask here how to make a new Alt.

The make the new crap coin, no one mines/buys/trades it, and they forget about it after a few weeks.

Wash, Rinse and Repeat!
450  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the price would be if there is no Bitcoin scaling in next 5 years? on: February 03, 2017, 02:39:15 PM
I don't really think it will make too much difference to the price.

The price is 99% speculation at the moment, Bitcoin couldn't be used as a currency as it is now, it doesn't have the capacity.
I can see the problem remaining unsolved, thus making Bitcoin unusable by the masses, but the speculation will continue to ignore that and keep the price rising.

I don't know what the long term answer is, I am sure it isn't litecoin though!  Hopefully greed doesn't win the day and stop Bitcoin from developing into the coin that it should become, but often times that is what happens.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: How world currencies compare to Bitcoin in terms of "market capitalization" on: February 03, 2017, 02:24:01 PM

      Russia   281,934,290

This one stood out to me as 'possibly' being wrong! It seems like you might be missing a few zeros.

It is pretty cool that bitcoin is more valuable than the currencies of some 3rd world countries, but I would like to see the same comparison with tech companies.
There are some pretty average American Tech companies with multi Billion dollar values.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Snapchat goes for more than the value of every Bitcoin in the world! There is still some room for expansion!
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a crypto enthusiast? What has driven you into becoming one? on: February 03, 2017, 02:16:16 PM
I bought my first bitcoin's in May 2014, I bought regularly until I was happy with my stash & have HODL'D since (sold a few fairly recently but only a small % of my stash).

I was advised to invest by a wealthy client of mine & I'm very glad that I did. My cold storage stash is worth over 2.5 times than what I've spent & I hope that'll increase in value at least another 2 x

For me there are a lot of great aspects to Bitcoin and crypto.  The main one for me is that it can be moved at low cost internationally without government controls.
My main economic worries are about the central banks propping up a failed system, this can't or shouldn't be the case with Bitcoin.

The speculative side of Bitcoin is interesting, but is kind of missing the point. It is a lifestyle and political entity, but people really only want to pump it and dump it nowadays.
453  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase - not able to buy via PayPal? Wtf? on: February 01, 2017, 07:31:35 AM
This isn't one of your usual "what's the deal with Coinbase?" threads.

I have a very specific question - does Coinbase not allow purchases via PayPal?

Their communities blog doesn't specifically say that this isn't allowed and searches on "the internets" hasn't produced much answer.

Thanks.
They probably had lots of charge backs, so stopped accepting Paypal.
The very nature of Paypal doesn't fit with buying Bitcoin, one is irreversible and one is easily reversible with buyer protection.

Unless Paypal starts to have an irreversible buy option, it will remain very difficult to buy Bitcoin using Paypal, I wouldn' accept Paypal, even if it was for 25% over market rate.
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rushes Over 950$ on: January 31, 2017, 06:15:55 PM
Bitcoin rushes over $950

Current prices show an increase of almost 4% in Bitcoin price in the last 24 hours of trading. With a high of $959.37, this is the highest price in the last 3 and a half weeks. At the time of writing this post the price was $956.78.

This increase is probably due to China’s biggest Bitcoin trading platforms putting a stop to trading BTC without any fees.

We just hit $962, looks like we are hours away from $1000 again, once we hit $1000 the doubts will be broken and it will take no time to hit a new ATH, so I can't wait. We may see a bit of wrestling in the $980 area, but this is bitcoin after all, we can be at $1000 within minutes.

Price of Bitcoin was just to steady last few weeks. What is 4% nothing. 10% Bitcoin price swings are something. We will have such up and down in upcoming days. Day traders and exchanges will be so happy. Smiley

I'll take 4% rises for a few days in a row!
granted it might well drop 10% tomorrow, but any rises are welcome to me.

I don't think we will see $1000 today or even this week. If you do see it again soon, I hope we enjoy a little more time in 4 figures that the last 2 times!
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie wants to create new altcoin on: January 31, 2017, 06:12:29 PM

what do i do ?

Don't! you don't have any innovation, you only seem to think that being geographically close to a market is an advantageous, whereas in the internet that is irrelevant.

A few years ago any old Alt was pumped for a while, not they are generally ignored unless thes have something about them.
You will put some work into it, undoubtedly pre/instamine it (why else would you make a coin) then forget about it, as it will be worthless.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero under scrutiny of the FBI on: January 31, 2017, 06:09:02 PM
if the transactions are not connected to child porn, arm's dealership and drugs. There are nothing to worry about.
How do you prove that they aren't?
Monero is made for crime basically, it will never be allowed to succeed by the powers that be.

Bitcoin at least allows an online 'papertrail', Monero has as its USP something that will ultimately make it unusable by the wider public!
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin to buy everyday needs? on: January 31, 2017, 06:05:04 PM
A delivery service in Germany used to accept bitcoin, meaning you could actually use it quite frequently.
Unfortunately they got bought out and now don't accept Bitcoin anymore Sad

A supermarket here does accept bitcoin though, and there are sites like All4btc where you can buy anything you want using Bitcoin, but with a small surcharge.

I don't know why more independents don't accept Bitcoin, fear of the unknown?
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Mass Adoption even possible.. on: January 30, 2017, 02:59:36 PM
Cryptos are almost like stocks and most people have no interest in learning stocks even though the stock exchange is trusted platform.

Thoughts?
It depends on what you class as mass adoption.
I would say that Fiat is fully adopted, Gold and silver are not really fully adopted anymore I mean people buy them but I reckon real stackers are a low percentage of the population.

Stocks and shares are kind of adopted, I mean people have pensions! Property is pretty widely adopted too.

I think Bitcoin can fit in near Gold and Silver, in that plenty of people have very small amounts, but real holders are quite rare. I don't see it reaching the level of any of the others that I mentioned.
459  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Doesn’t Western Union or Moneygram Use Bitcoin? on: January 30, 2017, 02:55:14 PM
This is a stupid topic (no offense to the OP). Why should Western Union and Moneygram use Bitcoin, when it is a competitor to their business. If people start using Bitcoins for remittance, then the revenues for WU will drop

If you can't fight with it, try to embrace it

For example, this is what Microsoft has been doing all their history. Why should WU be any different? These are ruthless businesses which don't care about changing their stance 180 degrees any moment and all of a sudden accepting things they have just been condemning if doing that helps them with their profits. So just being a competitor doesn't mean that they might not embrace Bitcoin in the future. In fact, such things happened many times in the past and continue to happen every other day
I agree 100%, WU or Moneygram can embrace Bitcoin and use it to transfer money cheaply around the world, or they can keep on spending more than they need to.
Private persons probably won't move money internationally very often using Bitcoin, but a new company could move in and undercut the established companies by using Bitcoin.

That would be reason enough to start using Bitcoin, I think they are basically ignoring it at the moment as they would have some liability to the price, and there would be a set up cost.

They will do it sooner or later though, or someone else will.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZEC vs ZCL, what makes one better? on: January 28, 2017, 08:08:33 PM
Both coins are far from ideal. Zcash with with its early distribution system is a joke.
With their slow start and mining tax devs wanted to do something to favor investors and prevent advantage of early adopters at the same time.
But they failed to realize it will make Zcash less interesting for everyone else. And ZCL is just a copy and like all clone coins it might go down very quickly.

Do not forget that Ethereum Classic was a copycat too, and look at its success now.

Good classical versions do have capability to be successful.

ZCL will eventually be added to Poloniex and it'd be the first big success of it.
Or you mean that people will take up any old crap and run with it!

People won't let a hard fork really succeed nowadays, the whole classic thing was interesting with ETH/ETC as it was original, but now it is just people trying to make money out of it.

I hope Poloniex don't add ZCL, they are encouraging the new phenomena.
