821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 06, 2016, 05:17:41 PM
right I think the Man City vs PSG game should be a good one. I see a few goals, but PSG should win it 2 or 3-1
It is the battle of the big spenders of the last decade, Man City were held back more by financial fair play though and seem to lack some quality that PSG have.

Wolfberg vs Real Madrid.  I think Wolfsberg get badly beaten, they will choke on the big stage. I think it could be 0-2 or 0-3.
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Keiser promoting Bitcoin on: April 06, 2016, 05:14:51 AM
Max Keiser is a clown.  He got involved in the lat alts bubble, pumping Quark, then others, then having his own coin made so that he could cash in on the bubble.

Don't mis-remember saying that he was led on, or that it wasn't his idea, he was talking about Alts a few times a week back then, and he went on about Maxcoin all the time too.

He is too much of a conspiracy theorist for me too, but that is another topic.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UN Will Use Blockchain to Fight Obesity on: April 06, 2016, 05:08:57 AM
That is a stupid article fragment.

It has a few keywords that make it essentially click bait. UN (big company) will use Blockhain to fight obesity (do something interesting).
All we are missing is, how, which Blockchain, where, and why!
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 05, 2016, 08:45:38 PM
It actually didn't end as badly for Atletico as I expected!  I reckon they would have taken a 2-1 loss beforehand, without knowing that they would play most of the match with 10 vs 11!

Bayern also didn't really do as well as expected.  I still think an away goal will make it quite easy for them, so they should still easily qualify.
825  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Discussion]What work would you do for 1$USD per hour? on: April 05, 2016, 08:43:27 PM
Thats the question. Would you keep a twitter account a live and post? Would you translate from english to your language? Would you solve captchas?

What would you do for 1$USD per hour?

Can you do it for 8 hours a day?

And for 2$USD? 10$USD?

Nothing. that's why I think faucets and 'jobs' offered here are scams or pointless.  I can imagine that some people who live in the developing world could get by on $10 a day, but for me it would just be wasting my time.

I think Europeans/americans who use faucets and do captchas etc would be better off basically doing anything else!
826  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed 'is a god that has failed' on: April 05, 2016, 08:16:22 PM
To be honest, with the world economies up to their necks in debt, unemployment at record highs (participation officially) interest rates already at or near 0, with growth also at about 0 - the fed are doing a pretty good job of keeping everything from crashing down.

I personally feel that the longer they hold back the crash, depression and new monetary system, the worse it will all be when it finally arrives.  But I have to give it to them, they are holding everything up amazingly well right now, if you didn't read zerohedge or a few other alternative webistes, you could easily believe that everything is a-ok!
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 05, 2016, 08:12:27 PM
Torres, what a dick.

You just know that Barca will wear them down now and score a couple of late goal, essentially securing the tie.
It is good that Atletico took it to them, as I wrote earlier, but I fear for them in the next 20 mins.

828  Local / Suche / Re: Suche Silbermünzen (gegen Bitcoin) on: April 05, 2016, 08:08:01 PM

829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Panama Papers open eyes of public towards Crypto? on: April 05, 2016, 01:53:21 PM
Icelandic PM (and his parliament) on the verge of collapse!

http://ruv.is/frett/government-in-crisis-pm-meets-with-president

Word just came out PM requested to dissolve his Parliament. President is going to look at possibilities for new elections!

Why has Iceland in particular got their panties in a bunch?  I know they had the worst of the global downturn, and they they probably have a lot of resentment left towards the banks/bankers, but was Iceland more involved in the Panama Papers stuff than any other country?

There is very little reason why this thread should be related to Auroracoin or even in the Alts section!
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful about any Negative Bitcoin stories reguarding banks on: April 05, 2016, 01:49:10 PM
Of course they are investing in technology, but that doesn't have to be bullish for Bitcoin.
If they invest in their own blockchains, or in smart contracts, that would probably be a negative for Bitcoin.

I personally don't think banking and bitcoin mix very well.  Bitcoin can be like personal banking, but banks backing it would be like Taxi drivers backing Über!

Western Union or other money movers looking to bitcoin would be far more important, in my opinion.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 05, 2016, 01:45:54 PM
Who do you guys think will be relegated, for sure Aston Villa but then it's 2 others. Looking like it will be 2 out of Newcastle, Sunderland & Norwich, only 1 of those 3 teams will escape I think.
Newcastle will go down.  You can probably guess from my username that I would rather that we didn't, but they are just heartless and clueless at the moment.
I really think the Premier League is weak this season, yet we are still getting relegated, says it all really.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 05, 2016, 01:44:27 PM
Bayern are so lucky, Benfica at this stage of the tournament is a real gift!
I think they will put a few past them tonight, they should finish them off tonight.

The all Spain tie looks good.  Atletico seem to play without fear against Barca.  I hope they really go at them tonight.
833  Local / Suche / Re: Suche Silbermünzen (gegen Bitcoin) on: April 05, 2016, 01:41:19 PM
wie gesagt, ich biete Spot-Preis an. Im Moment wäre das 13,31€ / Unze!
119€ und 189€ Münzen sind nicht für mich.

834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't call it a cryptocurrency: it's much more than that. on: April 01, 2016, 09:00:16 AM
Is it an april fools or do we really have to misspell Ethereum as Athereum?

Surely it should be Ether that is called a cryptocurrency, the whole system is more than that, much like the blockchain of Bitcoin is more than a cryptocurrency.

Looking forward to seeing what my post looks like, if words are edited or not!
835  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: asicboost increases profitability by 20% on: April 01, 2016, 08:56:54 AM
Don't think it is a scam. Timo Hanke is well known, and the white paper makes - as far as I understand it - sense.

The main question will be how responsible he's selling the license...
If it is true, then many will already be using it, and the others will follow.

You can probably increase your profitablility for a few weeks, before the difficulty rise gets everything back to exactly how it was before!
836  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin-gold price correlation on: March 31, 2016, 07:48:49 PM
I just need to know if there is a clear positive or negative correlation
Not clear enough to really change your trading decisions, no.  You would expect that they would corrolate with each other well as 'risk off' assets, but the chart posted shows that that isn't the case at the moment at least!

If the SHTF, I would expect a much better positive correlation, but at the moment I think it is just chance.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 31, 2016, 07:45:54 PM
by the time it gets onto Polo it will be too late.
If it rises out of the gate, it will rise fast, be popular, get added to Polo and other exchanges, and then slowly appreciate.

I don't see it going like Ether, the cat is out of the bag now.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO & Crowdsale seems to be the new flavour of the month... on: March 31, 2016, 07:43:19 PM
I am not convinced that these are scams from the beginning, rather they are sometimes decent people who realise that they have millions of dollars deposited in their account, and that they are fairly anonymous and can simply up and run.

It must be hard when money is sat their ready to be stolen, not to steal it!  Especially if they start out with the intent of not premining or making a good profit out of their coin. They either end up with a successful coin and no money, or run and take the millions.
839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cornell Study Recommends 4mb BlockSize for Bitcoin on: March 31, 2016, 07:38:36 PM
It is good information to have, but the debate has gone beyond reason now.

Everyone knows that there are problems now, and that there could be other problems if we fork, it is just opinion what is worse, our current problem or possible future problems...
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Financial Times: Satoshi = Craig Steven Wright reveal coming 7-14 April 2016 on: March 31, 2016, 07:35:14 PM
I don't see it as a positive at all if Satoshi outs himself.
He can then start to post again, or sell his coins, or influence Bitcoin.

Right now he is infallible as he is unknown.  If he becomes known, it will make people question him.
