961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 25, 2016, 06:17:40 AM
I think that Klopp will put out a good team tonight, even with the league cup final at the weekend.  He should appreciate that European competitions are important, whereas most English teams only see the CL, and seem to think of the europa league as a hinderence rather than a goal competition.

Both the Spurs and Liverpool games look well positioned and should be good games.  I think Augsburg might choke at Anfield, and Tottenham are a good team this season.  I think Tottenham might decide the league is more important though, so Fiorentina will win, and Liverpool too.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 24, 2016, 08:53:58 PM
Well city are actually playing well in Europe, maybe they just can't do well in the CL and EPL at the same time!
I still think they will concede and make it more difficult for themselves in the 2nd leg.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 24, 2016, 06:32:39 PM
Atletico should win tonight, I have watched PSV a few times this season, they are pretty average!
The spanish league is the strongest in the world. I expect a fairly clinical 0-1 or 1-2 win from them Atletico
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: February 24, 2016, 02:06:16 PM
So miners gather around $1200 in total in one day(according to current market value)? Is this correct?

There are no miners. It is a proof of stake coin.

Stakes are paid in CLAM, not dollars. Inflation due to staking will tend to devalue each CLAM, leaving staker holdings worth approximately a constant amount.

How is this coin still alive?

Inflation isn't evil when newly created coins are fairly distributed.

Although CLAM is a good coin, and one of the few Altcoins that have real value due to JD, I think we can all agree that we won't be using it in 20 years time!
I agree that inflation isn't a bad thing, in fact in some ways it alleviates the problem of the whale diggers, as they will be diluted out of their idle fortunes.

That being said, in the long term the inflation will be too high, resulting in a low value of CLAM, so people will be less inclined to use it.  I don't see that being a problem in the short term.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Considers Regulating Bitcoin as Currency on: February 24, 2016, 02:01:00 PM

I wonder what influence that would/will have on Mt Gox?  If all of a sudden they didn't steal out crypto, rather they took our money, that would surely increase the severity of any punishments doled out, as well as possibly increasing the final payout to those who were stolen from.

I bet they don't back date it, or take into account Mt Gox though.  Still good that Japan is moving the right direction, or is it that they can charge a negative interest rate on it if it is real money?!
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 24, 2016, 06:20:57 AM
After the Manchester United's fiasco I'm kind of afraid to moneyline Manchester United outside home

Fair, but tonight is Manchester City, not Manchester United.

Manchester United are just not very good this season, whereas Manchester City are decent but, as always, poor in Europe!  They should still have a good chance against Kiev though.  English team don't do well in Kiev, in fact only Manchester United back when Sir Alex was in charge have won in Kiev in recent times.

I think the draw is the best bet.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The real death of Bitcoin... on: February 23, 2016, 10:22:56 PM
The advantage of bitcoin being decentralized is that the 21million limit ist just that, a limit.  ETH might have advantages in that it is more malleable as it is centralized, but that comes with the disadvantages that they can change the entire direction of the currency as and when they choose.

Basically at the moment all crypto is valued based on trust.  Bitcoin has a value because it can't be heavily diluted, just as with PMs, ETH could be 'printed' like fiat is.  I think that the powers that be would prefer that ETH was successful and that Bitcoin dies, that's a good sign that Bitcoin is superior.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: February 23, 2016, 09:42:37 PM
I think the Arsenal vs Barcelona game is much easier to call.
The premier league isn't as strong as it was, Arsenal like to play football, but can't do it as well as Barca, so will get passed off the park and lose.

It could end up being a bad night for Arsenal, they need to tighten up like they did last year against Chelsea (if I remember correctly), but generally Arsene is stuck in his ways now, that's why they haven't won anything meaningful for so long.

Well I got one of my predictions right!  66% possession for Barca and 2-0 away win.  Not sure Arsenal are going to come back from that one!

It's such a shame, I remember the CL final years ago, when Leyman got sent off for Arsenal (wow it was 10 years ago!), they could and should have beaten Barca in that final, it's been a long and slow fall from grace since then for Arsenal.
969  Economy / Economics / Re: USA CPA Inflation 1.4% on: February 23, 2016, 09:07:43 PM
I doubt that US inflation is going to send BTC skyrocketing considering that China is more invested than anybody right now... I guess it's possible for us to become the new China given some bad economic circumstances, but it doesn't seem very likely to me.  Besides, 1.4% a year is better than losing half of the value of your investment over a couple years like BTC did Tongue

1.4% honestly isn't too terribly much inflation, if you're saving money you can easily make over that with the right investments.  It's mostly a matter of wages moving up to match the upped cost of living.

The figures are all complete rubbish!  The jobless number especially does not represent the participation rate at all, even though they should essentially be the same thing.

With inflation, I don't know about in the US, the in the UK they have 2 rates, which they decide to use almost interchangeably to suit their current mood!  The 1.4% inflation must include a huge fall in the oil price, so gas, oil and energy generally will have fallen, but overall inflation was 1.4%, so what would it have been if oil hadn't dropped about 60%?!

I don't hope for hyper-inflation, and it hasn't happened in Japan yet, which always seems a few steps ahead in the race to the bottom, so who know what will happen.  Maybe all currencies will hyper-inflate, so we will only notice when non-inflating PMs and Cryto go up a lot!
970  Economy / Economics / Re: US traders no longer legally can trade bitcoin futures anywhere! Bad news on: February 23, 2016, 09:01:54 PM
The bitcoin derivatives space is getting bigger and more professional. Despite regulatory inertia there's a lot of work going into building up the industry.

The guys at CryptoFacilities especially have a lot of exciting stuff in the works, but the regulatory environment in the US is only hurting them and bitcoin in general.

Here's some highlights of updates they just sent out in email to all customers:
  • Margin Netting Introduced
  • US Traders BANNED due to regulatory issues
  • Engine updates for faster order Matching
  • Free insured blockchain settlement with Elliptic
  • Analytics and TradingView integration

The most disappointing that sticks out is that the US regulators will stop at nothing to prevent bitcoin users in their country from using reliably exchanges like CryptoFacilities. There is now no longer any bitcoin derivatives exchanges that Americans can legally trade on

Read more and see the full screenshot of the newsletter and full text of the newsletter: http://www.bitcoinfuturesguide.com/bitcoin-blog/news-updates-from-fca-regulated-bitcoin-derivatives-exchange-cryptofacilities-us-traders-banned-insured-block-chain-settlement-free-more

I don't think that it is so bitcoin specific, the US government seems to want to stop or restrict movement of money generally.
The goal seems to be a cashless society, which could be bitcoin, but they won't let that happen unless they can control bitcoin.  That means we are headed to a 100% online bank led monetary system, where they can track everything you spend and receive.

They banned all sorts of exchanges in the past, they don't even allow online gambling (officially), this just seems like another step towards the nanny state taking over.
971  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDice.com is rigging my rolls. on: February 23, 2016, 08:53:09 PM
Ok folks.  I started winning big at SafeDice.com late last week.  I am currently up almost 48BTC.  I've withdrawn about 30BTC as of this morning before the hot wallet was dry again.

Just within the past hours, there has been some very flaky behavior on the site regarding rolls.  I was doing my variation on martingale when I noticed I would click roll but no result would come back.  So I'd refresh the page just to make sure it wasn't an issue with my browser not displaying the result.  Sure enough, there was no roll.  I would click roll a few more times and it would go through finally.  Some seemed fishy, so I checked the roll details of my rolls.

Please see the results of my investigation here:  http://imgur.com/a/JLVQQ.
Also a link to the 3rd party roll verifier:  here

If they are proveable fair, then they can't be rigging the dice.  It sounds like they have been having software problems, I would at least wait it out until they look into it.

It is of course possible that you have either found a flaw, or they are in trouble so decided to start messing with the fairness, but I doubt that is the case.

I think that Juventus can win first half and lose the second

So i will try 1 half time / 2 final... payed at 28.00 Smiley why not?

You can try but with this kind of bet you have 99.99% chance to throw your money away rather then waiting a win, so if you have money to throw away just do this bet. I think match will end under 2.5 goals cause both teams have good defense.

Yes i know.

But i'm looking at the stats... and i'm looking at Juventus usually starting hard to try to take advantage and Bayern usually play better the second half... so, why not? Smiley

Juve are savvy, and Bayern aren't stupid either.  I would expect that, as is often the case in first legs of the knock out rounds, they will play conservatively, not take any big chances and that it might well end up 0-0.

Both teams would be pretty satisfied with 0-0, so at 7-1 I think that is a good bet!

It might have been a good bet, but unfortunately that isn't going to help me today!

Bayern are looking pretty good here, Juve need to pull something out of the bag, otherwise this tie will be over before the return leg Sad

Boris Johnson, the Marxist mayor of London wants OUT

Boris Johnson is a long way from being a Marxist, it is possible that you meant Ken Livingstone, the former Mayor of London, but Boris is conservative!
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: February 23, 2016, 12:04:16 PM
Oil will rise over the short to medium term, almost no one doubts that.

The price now is low enough that investors are pulling the plug, fracking companies aren't drilling any more, so when the current rigs stop pumping, they won't be replaced.
OPEC and non-OPEC producers are all playing a similar game to the central banks, i.e. a race to the bottom.  They pump to make more money, then the price falls, so they pump some more!  Why would anyone invest in long term clean energy schemes when oil is so cheap?
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joi Ito: "My view on the current situation of Bitcoin and the Blockchain" on: February 22, 2016, 05:41:35 PM
I don't really buy that people are dropping out of developing bitcoin because it is growing faster than expected.

If you continue with the new coin, watch as everyone loses instead. Nobody's going to trust that new coin, and the old clam will be left behind since the trust is broken.

Focus on just this coin and how to fix it.

I tend to agree with this. If the whole problem with the coin is a super-digger, then there isn't really a problem at all.
Whatever happens, it needs to be done soon.  Why would someone buy now when they might end up with CLAMS alone, whereas other holders will have CLAMs + Doogs

There is little incentive to buy with so much uncertainty around the future of CLAMS.  Essentially whichever coin JD uses will be the coin of value, so I would back Dooglus generally.  If he wants to limit digging, then I would rather that to a new coin.

Dooglus I want my 3,000 CLAMs back from me paying you off for giving me insider information to shake Rat4 with his dox (provided to me by dooglus) and purchase 30% of the Clamcoins prior to Just-Dice launch.  Please deposited to:

xS93qVJw4uypKmZjNKj8JgrgC2QQvxenWZ

Resulting in not giving my money back will result in negative feedback and other negative outcomes.

You have 48 hours from this post.
Can you explain what you are talking about so that others can understand?
Why should he give you money back? Why now?
