hmm only 3 team? how with valencia? Cheesy
These three teams seem to good to be made into a parlay

Only 3?? 3 is a lot.  I know that your win rate is very good, but I am surprised that you make so many picks.
Yesterday there were 12! I would expect someone to be able to pick 1 or 2 good value bets a week!

Do you know your actual % profit over the 300 or so tips you have given, assuming even stakes?  I guess you are in solid profit as the average odds would have to be lower than 1.29 for you to be behind.
1182  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] BIT-X.com | Exchange BTC, LTC, USD, EUR, GBP | Instantly Mine & Trade GH/s on: April 30, 2015, 01:09:55 PM
Could you add a QR code to help with depositing bitcoin from a mobile device please?
I don't trust myself to send decent amounts of money by typing in a very long code, especially when it is irreversible!

A QR code would be greatly appreciated.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bold statement: Next target is low ~$700s (Awaiting scream of laughter) on: April 30, 2015, 12:50:17 PM
Quote
This is a speculation based only on gut feeling and some minor observations.

Thanks for that, it was a riveting read and showed a lot of insight and analysis on your part...
Why does everyone feel the need to post predictions based on nothing?  Yes it might be $700 tomorrow, yes it could be $25 tomorrow, I get it!

Either trade it or just wait and see what happens, no need for a gut feeling thread 40 times a day!
1184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chance to get Bitcoin mentioned on radio 2 in the UK. on: April 30, 2015, 12:47:05 PM
How do you leave your bitcoin to your family?  You don't want to write down any  passwords anywhere, or share the private key?
I guess it would be more difficult than you think!

Unless you have the codes saved on your computer, but then you are probably just waiting to be hacked so won't have any Bitcoin to leave as inheritence!
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Circle Investors, New US Dollar Account Features, China Horizons on: April 30, 2015, 06:25:43 AM
Again, choice.  Anyone can choose to hold BTC if they want.  And to speculate, it won't stop there.  Yuan could be the next available currency then hopefully more.

I must be missing something, I don't see why having the ability to hold USD, BTC and CNY in one place is a big deal when it's do-able already with exchanges. I'm not trying to irritate you, just trying to understand your point of view on this. So then basically they will be a US based, BTC-e with smartphone apps and a better UI?

Basically, but your account is insured.  That's the main thing I'm excited about because other exchanges and services will follow too.  It's like Circle is setting the bar up for everyone else to become better.

Edit: And Circle is taking being a Bitcoin financial service more seriously.  Seeing that Goldman Sachs lead a 50m USD funding round kinda validates that.  It's not like the other exchanges where they get hacked and some of them close.  The latest with Bitstamp...  The industry is becoming somewhat of a joke because of it.  Services like Circle could change that.

If you think keeping large amountd of Bitcoin or fiat somewhere like Bitstamp is a good idea, then I would suggest you think again.
If Circle can insure your account, then you can really use them as a trading account, and do lots of your trades off blockchain, so you won't have to wait for the confirmations during a flash crash or buying/selling opportunity.

That is important for traders, but it is also important for piece of mind.  I don't want to feel rushed into trading or moving my money out of exchange accounts as soon as possible due to a chance of being hacked.  Circle sounds great to me, the future.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaked Chainalysis Roadmap Angers Bitcoin Community on: April 30, 2015, 06:21:46 AM
If you haven't yet torified your wallet yet you may want to consider doing so after reading this story.

Full story: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/20182/leaked-chainalysis-roadmap-angers-bitcoin-community/
But we already know that Bitcoin isn't anonymous, in fact everything is recorded for the world to see in fine detail.
Why would a program that simplifies the tracking procedure be shocking to you or anger the community?

This should be used as a selling point to regulators too.  If you ever do a KYC, then your info is related to your Bitcoin.  Otherwise you have to use back alley ways of getting bitcoin, which I don't want to do.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: The banks should be repealed on: April 30, 2015, 06:17:50 AM
No. But the European system is crazy.
Normal banks are getting the money from the central bank. Then normal banks are lending it to EU countries.
That is the work around that the EU uses.  I will lend you money for almost nothing and you can lend it for a bit more to a country that needs it.
It's classic EU bureaucracy, why do something in one step when you can pay a middle man and rerquire more steps than necessary.

I think central banks should actually be free from politics, they have a mandate, that is to keep inflation in line, everything else they do it playing politics.
1188  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: April 30, 2015, 06:14:57 AM
Make it happen Barry and I'm not talking about Barrack O. At some point soon this SM has to give us a boost.
It will be interesting to see if it does give the market a boost or not.
I know they are buying way way above market rate, but whether the market catches up with their price, or their price falls down to the market price will be the next important piece of information for us after it goes live.

I think there might be a meeting in the middle, with about $290-300 being re-tested.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richard Branson to Host Bitcoin Summit on Private Island on: April 29, 2015, 01:58:42 PM
What's more likely; all these great minds will be sat around excitedly waiting for the don himself to arrive, passing the time whilst eating a $300 packet of chocolate nuts they bought from the tiki bar because they're in affluent company and didn't want to appear cheap with a melon. Occasionally somebody will share an insightful anecdote, like how they bought "too many" 100% organic natural wool socks with bitcoins this year, much to everybody's applause. They did too. "This is it...", they think... "We're home". Then like a bat out of nowhere Branson will appear in his 3mph hot air balloon... everybody standing around in awe and oblivious to the irony, wondering if he's been around the world in it again. He'll land and shake hands with a few people, smiling broadly as always. "Bitcoin eh, lovely idea. Just smashing." And before you can say "I bought all your books!" he'll step back into his balloon for a sunset departure as everybody stands around in awe once again. The radio is on, it's Phil Collins with "In the Air Tonight". Branson will wave. They'll wave. He'll wave again. They'll wave again. "What a guy!" somebody exclaims. Cue the hot kitesurfer woman listed on the website, who steps in and becomes the Smile Man as each attendee takes his turn trying to woo her affections by talking overbearingly about the size of their blockchain etc. And with that... the end of the proceedings are reached and they are pushed out to sea in a dinghy, each several big ones out of pocket and feeling slightly bewildered but nonetheless satisfied. This is why he is a billionaire, after all.

Beautiful.

This is surely how it will go down.
This is the most certain way this meeting will be held. It pains me to see that the future of bitcoin is discussing on private island by dozen of the most influential and rich people. In the end there are no miners or general bitcoin users who will have the right to change and vote how bitcoin must change, but big fishes like Branson alone will have the only right to voice opinions. It is a little sad that it comes to this.

Well they are just working out their strategy for whatever plan they have, other people form groups in bitcoinland and do their thing.  It just sucks a little that these are all the most powerful people in bitcoin no doubt.  Also the biggest holders so probably bullish for bitcoin.
But he hasn't invested big in Bitcoin yet, so it doesn't really matter to him what the price is.

He can dip his foot in the Bitcoin water, without taking any big risks and still do very well out of it if the price increases and usage increases, if it doesn't he loses nothing too.
I don't expect him to be like Soros and try to move the market in his favour with massive whale buys or investments, that isn't really his style and is too risky in Bitcoin too.
1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NY Bank interested in blockchain. on: April 29, 2015, 01:55:14 PM
Really it seems that banks and wall street are interested in reducing their paperwork, so they would like to switch things to a blockchain, that is to be expected as it is much more efficient.
What is not so clear is how they will protect these blockchains, the main selling point of Bitcoins blockchain is that is is very strong, but it will be too bloated if everyone just hops on the bitcoin blockchain...

I expect the next move to be payment processors looking at Bitcoin to simplify and cheapen their businesses.  It's slow, but gradually people are realising that the technology is very worthwhile.
1191  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: April 29, 2015, 01:50:58 PM
And GLD (like gold) lost 1/3 of its value after it was approved by the SEC.  Would that fact influence SEC's decision about COIN?

You have eaten too many FUD sandwiches.  GLD gained over 400% after approval and trading began, and this is after gold had already traded for centuries.

It is amazing that a new way to invest in Gold would make a 400% change in either direction.
I have been quite agnostic about the ETF coming online, I thought that it would make little difference that people have yet another way to invest in Bitcoin.

I now see that may well be wrong, it will be interesting with 401ks, as that is a lot of money sloshing around in an ATH stock market with bonds yielding almost nothing, it could really flood in.

Interesting times ahead.
1192  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Long-Term Difficulty Speculation Thread on: April 29, 2015, 10:48:29 AM
I don't think we're going to be seeing too much of a jump soon, even when next-gen miners come out.  For people to upgrade it has to be somewhat worth the investment, and at the current price I just don't see that happening.  Not much big investment going into mining right now, so we're not going to be seeing the kinds of increases that we did when massive farms were coming online.  We may even see it go down as some of those farms close down operations and sell the space/use it for different things

Until we have another price bubble, we won't have one for difficulty either.

For just that reason I think we will have a mining peak again.  I think the price will organically rise and the cloud miners that have switched off will decide to switch back on.
That, along with new mining tech, will result in a doubling of the network over the next year.

If the price stays the same, then I can see difficulty staying the same too.
1193  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [VOTE] UK General Election 2015 on: April 29, 2015, 10:40:22 AM
I am a conservative.  I think that they have done a good job in a bad situation over the last 5 years.

They could have been more extreme, as UKIP would like, and have slashed budgets and stopped immigration, but they didn't.  They could have spent more money, as labour would like, and have us on a similar footing as Greece, but they didn't.

I think they found a good middle ground.  There were also 2 referendums, and the promise of one more, I think referendums are true direct democracy and should happen much more often.

I'd give them a solid B+, which would make me vote for another term.
1194  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: April 29, 2015, 10:29:29 AM
Updated(!)

Code:
Puma Capital, LLC		   100	38.00
Canaccord Genuity Inc    100 37.50
Citadel Securities    100 36.00
KCG Americas LLC    100 35.55
Maxim Group LLC     50000  35.00
Wedbush Securities Inc    100 31.50
Cantor Fitzgerald & Co             100  25.00
Merriman Curhan Ford & Co    100 20.00

Wow! So people outbid Maxim, already? Unfortunately 'only' with bids of 100 shares. Still, this is really impressive... I still can't really wrap my head around why they would pay this much of a premium. It can't solely be the convenience of buying using an ETF, can it? I mean, if they really wanted to get their hand on some BTCs, they surely would jump through the hoops of a regular BTC exchange.
They are only trying to buy 100 shares, yes, but the yare bidding quite a lot more than Maxim!
That market looks crazy to me, I haven't seen a market that out of line with the actual price for some time!  Who knew everyone eanted to invest their pensions in Bitcoin
1195  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Do miners pay TAX over their earnings?? on: April 28, 2015, 12:36:45 PM
What earnings, you shouldnt be paying taxes unless you are well into the profit and most who think they made alot of money are not including their costs properly.     A business can carry over losses for six years against profits hence you get those headlines, megacorp makes record profits but operates tax free.   People have to be more careful but I reckon you should not pay tax on your little home operation.
Any 'profits' Ive made I just used to buy computer parts, since I need it as part of the operation I think its allowable cost against earnings
You still need to file the returns to show the capital losses of the last few years so that you can claim them back now that you make the capital gains.
You 'reckon' they shouldn't pay, but if someone from the IRS looks into it, they will disagree with you.

The point about not paying tax on selling second hand stuff, if you have already deducted it, then you would have to pay tax on the 2nd hand sales.  They won't let you double count it.

Bitcoin mining is an absolute tax mess!  I wonder if the IRS will be bothered about it unless someone starts making millions from it.
1196  Economy / Economics / Re: What would cause the failure of fiat money system? on: April 28, 2015, 11:37:57 AM
It is all a confidence game, as soon as someone loses confidence, then the whole system could fall down.
Banks don't have much actual money available, bank runs are a failure of confidence, once a few people decide they want cash in their hands, then bank runs occur and the dominos fall.

I tend to think war will be the starting factor that brings it all down, everything is so interconnected now that Russia/China becoming more isolated from the West could mean but reductions in trade, reducing confidence in the sytems, leading to job losses and economic collapses.
1197  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mtgox claims and Yubikey - help! on: April 28, 2015, 10:37:43 AM
A friend of mine is trying to login to gox with a yubikey, so far without success.

She enters her username and password, then touches the Yubikey which changes the entered password and nothing much else seems to happen.

I'm assuming the process should be enter name and password, hit login and then get a prompt for the Yubikey but that doesn't happen.

Can someone please give me step by step instructions for this?
My 2FA was de-activated, so just the password works now.

That's actually really lucky for me, as I lost my phone about 6 months ago with Google Authenticator on it, I have managed to get resets on most of my accounts, but I guess it would have meant losing my Gox money if they had kept the 2FA in place!
1198  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: April 28, 2015, 10:34:44 AM
I can't find the answer in the OP so I'll ask here. Is racism allowed on the Bitcointalk forum?

I have reported a few posts that are blatantly racist, but I see that they are classed as falsely reported.  I won't report it anymore if it is allowed on the forum, seems pretty crazy to allow it though in my opinion.

AFAIK Yes but if the post is really insulting, it (probably) will be deleted.

I was told by the MOD that even abusive comments aren't deleted nor are personal attacks or threatening comments deleted. Racist comments are hurting but they aren't against the rules. Only Spam is deleted.
Ok thanks, that is good to know!  I won't report racist, offensive or sexist comments anymore then if it is just wasting everyones time.
I guess I should have been able to work it out for myself, almost the entire politics and society secotion would be deleted if abuse wasn't allowed!
1199  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Accepting MtGox Bankruptcy Claims on: April 28, 2015, 09:07:34 AM
Hello everybody,
Like all of you i received the information about the possibility to fill a claim.
I personally prefer the option to not use Kraken, there is absolutly no guarantee anyways to retrieve anything and it is clearly stated that if anything happens with Kraken you wont be able to claim anything back.
In other words your last chance to retrieve any bitcoins or cash disapear.
So i went on the process to fill the form not using kraken, i am wonderring if any of you tried that option and what happened as for me i filled all information and at the bottom of the page i was up to do the last click to send the form and, surprise...
http://prntscr.com/6xyntn
The submit button do not work ... what a bad joke
If anybody could confirm me that it is the same for you...

I use kraken to trade Bitcoins for some time now and personally, I do trust them. There's really no reason to believe otherwise. Even if kraken stops doing business, it doesn't mean the mtgox case vanishes. Why? The case is still dealt with by Japanese authorities. Kraken is just like a service partner, consultant, whatever.
Actually, I'm glad that there's an established company who takes care of it. They might take their cut, or they do this for marketing reason, I don't know, and I don't care.
For me it just makes the whole process so much easier. It took me 5 minutes to fill out the form. Submit button worked fine for me.
Now, I only need to wait for an email from kraken. Or a bank/bitcoin transaction.
I don't have to check some announcements everyday and be worried about missing some deadline. I also don't need to get in touch with some Japanese authorities or whomever if kraken didn't take care of it. Until then, thanks kraken.

If they have been appointed by a Japanese court, they must be pretty legit!  A court couldn't appoint someone who then rips off the customers who need to be re-imbursed as far as is possible.
The claim system worked fine for me, all buttons worked in google chrome on windows.

I will wait, but not with baited breath for when a refund happens.  I will be interested to see what form it is in, I didn't have a lot of money in my account, I would probably lose a good % if they send me a yen denominated cheque!
