441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] Gluon - The first STRATIS Flagship, Verified ICO 🚀 on: February 25, 2018, 08:09:49 PM
This also accepts bitcoin and ethereum, I doubt this project can help the price pumping of strat. If stratis is the only tokens can be invested and the hard cap is large enough, ppl will make more money from both stratis and gluon.

Gluon takes the contributions of STRAT, ETH, BTC etc. The Stratis ICO platform will convert all non-STRAT currencies to STRAT uses Changelly during the ICO.

This is exactly why my gut tells me that the ICO will make the price of Stratis go up. I presume the non-Stratis tokens/coins received will be exchanged at the next order and if there are a lot to exchange demand for Stratis will be more than supply.

I have installed the new wallet and it looks visually appealing. I am still getting the feel for it but I particularly like the asset tab with current values next the the tokens. It is a little it on the slow side but that will surely improve over time.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: AIRDROP EVENT!!! [AIRDROP] [ART BLOCKCHAIN] on: February 25, 2018, 07:57:24 PM
This looks like very high risk with some red flags. The point that gives it away is that it says the token is scheduled to list on Polo. Polo will not schedule a token to be listed that has not even yet been launched. That is such an obvious giveaway and people should therefore be careful with this one.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRESALE]⭐ REPU ⭐ - Smart reputation managment - Pre-ICO Soon🚀🚀 on: February 25, 2018, 07:53:03 PM
I just noticed now there are already more than 11k people in it, not bad  Shocked
the popularity of the project is growing every day. Telegram clear confirmation of this. But you need to consider the fact that some people came because of Airdrops

Before the airdrop they had around 700 people in the channel, now almost 13k, so it's more than 'some' people who joined because of the airdrop Smiley Anyway, if it helps to become more known and popular it's a good thing.
I did not know about airdrop but I still have joined because I see this project as an interesting and promising one. Airdrop is ok of course, still, that was not the main reason
Crazy how many people are now on the airdrop train. I think with this high numbers an individual person will not get that much from the airdrop.

That's the idea, I think. But it's good for the project, more people get to know about it. Airdrops are still very effective in spreading the word.
I said it many times and I said it one more time - airdrops means token dumps

On the one hand it might be true that airdrops lead to dumps, but distribution is also very important. The more people participate in an airdrop the better the distribution becomes. You also do not want all the tokens concentrated in a few people's wallets.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN][ICO] Eventum - 1st Protocol for Decentralized APIs on: February 25, 2018, 06:53:28 PM
Dev can you please clarify who is on your team and the roles they have, or is it just yourself?

Hi jc12345, I'm definitely not the only one on the team, you can't build the whole decentralized network and everything else that we built, on your own  Smiley You can see the whole team on our website, it's an 8 people team who was building Eventum's technology from summer 2017: https://eventum.network/ There are also 4 very strong advisors (that are not there for their photo, but because they bring something very valuable to the table and help the project in many ways) and we are onboarding new ones as we speak!

Thanks for the feedback. I looked at the concept more closely and it is innovating. It is also good that you already have something that is working where people can test the concept. Pity I missed the first few.

GLUON | GLU token
We are pleased to announce our ICO dates! Private Sale will begin on March 5, 2018 and Public Sale will begin on March 27, 2018. Thank you for your su...

More hype with gluon will help the price of stratis, people buy stratis and invest in gluon, this will bring the price up. Wish best luck with gluon ico, and hope it will help stratis price.

Last time I looked the Gluon team will be exchanging non-Stratis payment towards the ICO into Stratis through Changelly. This will create demand. Is this still the case?
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] Gluon - The first STRATIS Flagship, Verified ICO 🚀 on: February 25, 2018, 08:39:07 AM
It is a pity that Stratis is not a higher price right now for the Gluon contribution. I do think however that the Gluon ICO will drive the Strtis price up if other coin contributions are converted to Stratis and the Stratis is bought from the market in the process. This one will be all about the timing when the purchase using Stratis occurs.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] Marinecoin - Fast Eco-Friendly AI IoT Payment Network on: February 25, 2018, 06:58:04 AM
Just a clarification.  The first  bitcointalk announcement thread was posted by core developer Bruce on Jan 23, 2018. That thread got deleted accidentally and I am now re-posting a
new thread to restore the announcement.  I am not core developer, only a community member, but I will work closely with Marinecoin core developer team to update  information in this thread accordingly.

Can you confirm if the original developer "Bruce" will be working on it now and why did he not revive this thread? Do you perhaps have a link for his profile on BCT?

If you search on Google,  you will find Bruce's original ANN thread was deleted by bitcointalk  mod,  most likely robot.

The official channel for this project is DISCORD and Marinecoin web page.  Bitcointalk ANN is community based posted by me.  I clarified already earlier on.

I am actually asking about the user account for Bruce on BCT. Do you have a link to it? I would like to look at his profile and then I want to know why not create a new thread by himself to give some legitimacy?

Dev is it still possible to join the airdrop or has it closed? I see the spreadsheet hasn't been updated on 24th. If it is too late do you have an idea when the next airdrop would be?

Will this be like a rewards program where you earn rewards for your purchases? If so, what would make it different from Incent?

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] Gluon - The first STRATIS Flagship, Verified ICO 🚀 on: February 20, 2018, 10:31:47 PM
Why did you decide to use the Strat blockchain and not another such as the ethereum or neo? What advantages did you attract in Strat blockchain?

Stratis has a great BaaS platform that will allow us to change and grow throughout the process.  We needed something more simple for integration.  Because they have designed their own platform from the ground up, they will be able to adopt everything we've designed for our clients and users.  We see them being able to support our roadmap as we launch new features.

Also, Stratis has features that Ethereum and NEO do not have. Stratis will deliver solutions to their weaknesses. One example is the Sidechains that Stratis will have which will make it superior. There are lots of advantages later on for having a token sale on Stratisplatform.

Can you tell us what interest you received at the super conference? I noticed the pics on the Stratis Slack channel. I also think you made a wise choice to choose the Stratis platform.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRESALE]⭐ REPU ⭐ - Smart reputation managment - Pre-ICO Soon🚀🚀 on: February 20, 2018, 08:18:13 PM
Another situation that's going to be hard to fix: rivals downrating each other. Obviously sports clubs (but who cares if they have bullshit ratings), but also competing businesses. Their employees will be accepted as real ratings since they're real people, but they could be given a little bonus from their boss to downrate the competitor.
You are right. Therefore, it is very difficult to identify the real reviews and bought by someone. But the project team promised that their Artificial intelligence is capable of it!

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are both hot topics at the moment. Both these technologies should be able to separate the wood from the trees based on behavioral learning.

458  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Sweeping dust accounts on a Ledger Nano S on: January 28, 2018, 06:57:57 PM
Thanks. Electrum worked.  Smiley
459  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Sweeping dust accounts on a Ledger Nano S on: January 28, 2018, 10:35:16 AM
Electrum is compatible with the Ledger Nano S, and you can even use the SegWit wallet.

File -> New\Restore -> Standard wallet -> use a hardware device -> connect Ledger Nano S and unlock with PIN, select "Bitcoin" app when prompted -> set the derivation path to: m/49'/0'/0'

This will import your SegWit wallet from the Ledger... (Note: For "legacy" wallet use default derivation path of m/44'/0'/0')

Coin control is available using "View -> show coins". Simply "Ctrl+click" the coins you want to spend, then right click and select "spend".

Although, you should find that if you just click the "max" button on the "send" tab it should do a good job of spending everything! Wink

Excellent. Thank you very much. Will try this.
460  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Sweeping dust accounts on a Ledger Nano S on: January 28, 2018, 07:20:28 AM
I am trying to sweep SegWit dust accounts on a Ledger Nano S to a new account but it seems that there is always a little bit of BTC that remains. Selecting MAX does not select the whole balance. Net amount plus fees never equals total. I have also tried custom fees in various combinations and sizes up to 1000/byte by trial and error but I can never get it to the total in the wallet.

Any ideas of what the best way is to clean out all accounts, or is there another client I can hook the Ledger to with coin control so that I can manually select the problematic blocks?
