441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we overlooked the many potentials of altcoins? on: January 02, 2024, 01:06:01 PM
~
There are already a lot of coins that we can use if the issue is network congestion or high fees really. I hardly doubt these coins would be replaced unless some really good altcoin suddenly pops out or said coins were to go out due to some bad business models they're going to adopt. I've used Matic, SOL, Litecoin, BNB, and a few others before for transfers and I've never had any big issues with them before. As for "best", I don't think there's a single best one out of all, it's a matter of preference among those that can be described as good alternatives instead.

As for altcoins that are overlooked in general, well, that can't be helped. Marketing is one thing that is needed and if they can't properly push for it, any coin, no matter how good, would inevitably stay dead especially if you consider how the altcoin scene is already full of hundreds of coins itself.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's Your Feeling After You Finish Gambling. on: January 02, 2024, 12:32:02 PM
~
Mostly satisfied. Even if I were to lose all my money (which is what happens most of the time), I rarely leave or stop playing that frustrated. I've tried to always have that mindset to stop chasing losses so anxiousness and any similar emotions are rarely felt by me. I've always kept in my mind to always enjoy the thrill of playing (and losing money) itself instead of anything else. In the past I did experience frustration though, like a lot, similar to how I first picked up trading, but I've moved on from that after countless of times of feeling that.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inflation and crypto gambling on: January 02, 2024, 12:09:15 PM
~
I think this has been regularly happening? At the very least I've seen a 20-30% increase in lottery tickets in my place as well compared to a decade or so ago. There are also some simple scratch-it tickets but I'm not familiar with the prices compared to back then (I don't think they even existed back then in the first place) but so far I haven't seen any increase in like 5 years since I've discovered it.

Granted I don't think stuff affected by inflation is that much of an issue for gamblers? Most of them are casino gamblers all things considered.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 12:42:15 PM
I've enjoyed the year. I decreased the amount of time I've gambled so it was pretty good. I doubt I'm ever stopping though, I'm pretty satisfied with reducing it to what it is right now, reduced time = reduced costs anyway. Made some bad bets all around but I guess the most remembered one was betting on T1 getting that cup again at worlds (league tourney).

Anyway, Happy new year to ya'll, my New years' resolution would probably be to stay the same, or even reduce if possible the bad things but move forward for the good things. I'd put gambling in between and just let it stay there since I doubt I'd move it away even if I consider it really bad. Maybe just stick to watching a couple of tourneys I've stopped playing the sport instead of betting on everything I used to?
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 01, 2024, 10:10:05 AM
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.

I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.
They don't really care? There are people here who gamble though afaik, as I've seen them before in the past but it's usually simple games like Bingo for big ones and poker/black jack. As for sports gamblers, I don't think I've met one here before. Anyway most people don't really care and we don't really have judgemental people about it, or at least ones that are publicly advocating for gambling to be removed from the area or for people to stop doing it. Even local officials join in when they're off duty afaik.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 08:29:47 AM
I don't think it matters much? Especially if the account was tied to KYC already. I doubt casinos would naturally assume that their users only play on one place/internet source. In the first place, online casinos are preferred because of it's accessibility, so tying it down to your home internet seems to defeat that point. Not to mention bans by IP only happen either due to geolocation issues or if some events/prizes were taken advantage of, both of which can easily be resolved and identified if proper KYC was done.

Ofc to be on the same side, you'd use what you normally have. And to generally not use public wifi for anything that has access to money related stuff.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there long-term profitable sports bettors? on: December 31, 2023, 02:31:15 PM
~
They exist most likely. I mean if the issue is the bookmaker then just switch casinos really. And if someone can reliably support his gambling tendencies in the long run, I've no doubt switching would be that difficult in the first place.

But they're probably in the minority since really, "stable" is not a word I'd use to describe gamblers. They're more on the side of wanting to risk it all at once and win it all. Otherwise they'd be doing an 8hr job instead of gambling.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 31, 2023, 10:05:21 AM
~
I don't really think it circumvents the rule itself. Sure the laws or whatever that fellow religious members impose can be circumvented, but the idea itself isn't since gambling is gambling no matter the medium. Using crypto in itself isn't anything illegal though since it's not gambling. Same with the idea of earning it via bounties since those are a sort of job ish thing? Sweepstakes I have no idea since afaik aren't sweepstakes similar to lotteries?

Anyway most people who probably impose the rules in religious settings are still undecided about things which is odd really since gambling is gambling. It'd be kind of dumb if the activity itself was described by the medium used instead of the, well, activity.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 31, 2023, 08:12:46 AM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

I don't think it happens that much to me. My mindset whenever I'm winning is like "ooh nice, more money" and it stops there, nothing more nothing less. If it was something really significant in my life though then maybe but at that point the context differs from what OP is saying since the significance here can be rather different. I'd be over the clouds at that point and would probably last for a week at the very least since I'd be treating various people to some celebrations. Nothing big though, just small ones that wouldn't dent my winnings that much, but a celebration nonetheless.
450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: December 30, 2023, 12:21:12 PM
If it was directly from coins, aka trading, then I don't think it's possible. Any form of investment needs money before it can even grow. Outside of that though, there are a lot of options. Airdops would probably be one of the easiest since it only needs time, another would probably be selling your services to crypto-related platforms. This can vary from bounty campaigns like what most people do here, managing social media groups or whatnot of crypto projects if you can get in, or to offering web development services related to crypto and stuff like that.

If you don't have time though, I highly doubt you can make money anywhere, let alone in the crypto scene.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: December 30, 2023, 12:17:28 PM
For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.
I let it rot in my wallet till the day it suddenly increased in price. Only then will it see the light of day, otherwise it's just bits of data in my wallet fated to stay in place for eternity. I just hope it gains value since there's no cost in hoping, and if it doesn't no loss for me really since I already had the coin, idrk what else you can do with that.

But well I wouldn't keep it in my wallet in the first place if it initially had value when I received it. Even a few $ would be more than enough for me to sell it since it's a shtcoin most likely anyway. Now if the coin was released and it was valued at 0, only then will it rot in my wallet till it goes up (and till I realize it actually went up in price).
452  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable? on: December 30, 2023, 07:56:02 AM
Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable in the future
Though have been in the crypto space for quite some time now, I knew little about crypto. A friend of mine just introduced me to real estate investment.
Which one should I go for with a capital less than $2500?
I'd definitely go for real estate. It takes time to enter and would probably need a lot of capital, unless you go for those shared investment-type thingy (not sure what it's called) but anyway yea, it generally needs a lot of capital and market study about land prices. $2500 is definitely not enough, let alone less than it. At that budget I'd just go for crypto since there's a lot of underlying costs with land as well, not just the cost itself, plus if you want to profit off of it you'd probably have to spend more into renovating/building it so yea, just go crypto.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie alert - how to get on the bandwagon? on: December 30, 2023, 06:13:22 AM
~
Exchanges for buying and seeling. Centralized ones would probably be the most easiest one to enter on since it simplify quite a bit from buying to storing coins themselves. You can take the time to use Decentralized ones but I reckon you're better off with learning hardware wallets instead and learning about how to properly store tokens instead.

As for coins, it's honestly a coin flip if you're not going to do your own research. Fast-growing tokens would depend on which projects are actively releasing new positive developments, as well as some new coins out there suddenly pumping which is probably manipulated by some of the team members. Just remember the usual quote buy low sell high and just actively avoid buying when a coin is pumping, it usually dumps down after. Buy when it's dumping instead.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: December 30, 2023, 01:29:18 AM
~
It's the same reason why people fall for scams despite the repeated attempts of people that they're, well, scams. it's because people want money. Well that's kind of a really generalized view of it, but in general that's how most people feel with gambling. The minority probably enjoy gambling or the process itself, together with the result whatever it may be.

All in all I don't think it's a problem for people to keep playing even if they lose really, even if the end goal was money. It only ever becomes a problem if the money you lose starts affecting you financially, to the point where your basic needs are compromised. In your case they don't have a job, then yea, they have to look back with how their lives are doing first.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 11:09:21 PM
~
And not everyone should bother themselves with caring about people winning. It doesn't even matter that people share their own personal wins, the media will ALWAYS portray big winners of gambling in their news every now and then. And just as how most people don't really care about that kind of stuff, they shouldn't really care as well with how other people share their victory wins regardless of how close they are personally.

And really, it's rather tiring already to take care of yourself, minding how others would also think kind of kills the self. Not that I personally share my personal wins though. Maybe when we bet together, but arbitrarily? Nope.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: December 28, 2023, 12:39:26 PM
We have often witnessed in the bull run that Bitcoin's value increases and once it becomes stable at a certain limit that's when bull run officially starts for Altcoins and we have seen same cycle in previous two bull runs. But, this time we are witnessing a different scenario as we have seen increase in the price of Bitcin but it's yet to reach ATH and it's still continuing to increase but Altcoin's are going bonkers and having more than 100% increase and it's not limited to few but most of the Altcoin is following similar trend.

Should be consider this as new trend wherein Altcoins will have bullrun before Bitcoin? Or this is once in a blue moon thing? It cannot be a bull trap since it's happening for multiple Altcoins.
I wouldn't really chalk up the entirety of bullrun with Bitcoin only, altcoins themselves could have their own bullruns in their own phase, just that Bitcoin bullruns usually increase the attention towards the entirety of the market, hence more investors hence more coins go up. Not to mention that I don't even think we have a Bitcoin bull run? It's just a steady movement and slow increase so far imo, I'd expect the bullrun, if it ever happens to happen a couple more months later, at least half a year more I suppose.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Was You Biggest Win in 2023? on: December 28, 2023, 12:21:30 PM
~
I think it was a x20 on a $15 bet? It was some random flipping with dice and crash iirc since I was bored I just kept swapping between the two. It might actually be greater than x20 really I can't exactly remember the multiplier, but it was something along those lines. As for the biggest loss, since I've never deposited (or have) more than $100 on my casino wallet usually, then I'd set it as that much since there were instances where I just straight up threw $100 on one game lol. If we were to count total losses then I'd have quite a lot though.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 28, 2023, 11:55:06 AM
~
I think this has been asked quite a few times already, I remember this was asked just like a month ago or so tbf. And as I've always said before, a license, especially if it was a curacao, isn't a 100% guarantee. It's some semblance of reputation to the casino itself, but as I've researched a couple of months back about curacao, it's really bloody easy to get one to the point where it's reputability has come into question quite a few times before. Nonetheless, it's still used by major casinos hence why I think it still holds onto that semblance of legality.

You can probably choose casinos that are licensed to be safe, but do your own due research still with it as well. Don't just play on it immediately after seeing a license.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 27, 2023, 12:48:08 PM
I prefer staking before matches start when I started to gamble as a newbie. I later prefer virtual matches. I left both to staking on live matches which is what I gamble with most on bookies now.

This is just for fun. Let us post and have fun to know which one that most people on this forum that are posting on this gambling board like most.

Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.
I usually do it before. I usually don't leave the live feed of a match after it starts so betting live doesn't appeal to me that much not to mention I hate having to think about what to bet since odds change all the time in live betting. I have tried it before though and as I said, I didn't like it that much. As for virtual betting, I think I tried it a couple of times? Probably less than 10 but yeah, it just didn't appeal to me that much.

I kinda switch it up with matches that I think can be really close though. In those cases I do live betting instead.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 27, 2023, 11:39:25 AM
~
If it was casino games, then I've never spent more than an hour lately. I used to go for maybe 2-3 hrs in the past but anything past that is either I just burn out or that I don't have any money left to play with. I honestly don't think there's any sense to spending more than an hour or two to playing, like unless I guess you're playing with someone which makes it a lot more interesting. Even if I say that gambling is fun, it's not exactly something I'd spend more hours on compared to playing something like RPG games alone. Not to mention I don't have the money for that.
