4441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 23, 2023, 02:17:58 PM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?

I think maybe that's hard to happen if we look at casinos that are already big and well known. But suppose there is a new casino, and there are some players who are very good at playing, so they can win continuously, can the casino go bankrupt? or do they already have an algorithm or a way so players can't keep winning?
I don't know about the opinion of others but the truth is that, there is some form of algorithm that helps get the winning in check and there is no way a player should win more than what is in the casinos reserve.
And that is why you always get to see the odds of new casinos drop if compared with older casinos in competition.
It is very possible for a casino to go bankrupt and it has been reported a whole lot of times on how casinos go bankrupt  but I couldn't remember them mentioning a gamblers winning as one reason while a casino ever went bankrupt.
And since the ratio of winners to lossers is very low, I also think that's an advantage for the casino against players.
4442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 23, 2023, 01:22:30 PM
Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?
People gamble for a whole lot of reasons best known to them and for the time being, I think one of the greatest reasons why people still gamble irrespective of all the bad reputations associated with it.
And I don't really see people stopping  gambling anytime soon because it has been a practice even from the holy book and I don't think  it will end not in this Era where people want to earn money without any physical effort with extremely flexible time choices which gamble in one way or the other offers.

snip
People gamble even after so many obstacles and troubles because their greed works here that maybe they can win something big from gambling which can change their life this is their wrong idea.  And this idea draws most people to gambling. Some gamblers fall into an addiction while gambling for fun and then getting out of gambling becomes very difficult. This is how a person gets stuck in gambling.
Some other times, there is this idea of wanting to recover their losses before giving up and this act is known as revenge gambling  or chasing after losses and this has lead to great losses and serious gambling addiction and people should learn how to use only money they can afford to lose for gambling.
4443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: June 23, 2023, 06:10:03 AM
You did well and there is a saying that, what works for you might not work  for others and the truth is that all of this incentives you've mentioned and referenced some casinos  are just some promotional and marketing strategies  for this casinos  and as a person, I've always known that the casino is always out there for business and anyone out for business is also out to make profit and wagering upto 43k to be at level 22 isn't an easy task.
What I do personally is use whatever money I have (spare) fund my account and make my bets at that very time, if I loss, I loss and if I win, I win without having to bother myself with some bonuses that to me seems very hard to achieve  since I'm still battling with financial  stability.
4444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 22, 2023, 09:38:19 PM
Your writings are great and eye catching but I think you shouldn't have bothered yourself with writing the second episode  below because the first episode all curtailed all your worries and adding the second episode, makes it difficult to read your entire thread which I wouldn't deny because I didn't read it and It looked soon and impossible to read it all.
There are people who take gambling as a full time job a d are doing extremely  well from it and as a person, I've always seen gambling, trading and cryptocurrency in general as obeying the principle of garbage in garbage out which means that the amount  of capital  you have, also determines greatly how much profits and how soon the profits will come, so for most gamblers who want to make gambling  a source of income and livelihood, should  be ready to have some reasonable amount of capital or risk being easily addicted while trying to meet upto goals and target .

4446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: June 19, 2023, 01:13:33 PM
Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?

When the bull market starts, I think it'll be better if you buy all the tokens you want to buy and just hold them in your wallet. If you decide to trade, you're setting yourself up to make a mistake and when that happens you might miss the bigger profits you were meant to make by just holding. Bull market gives all coins profit and holding is better than trading.
If you're very good at trading and you believe it'll give you more profit then you can trade but for those that have no knowledge on trading or don't know how to trade very well, they can make more profits from just holding. Bull market isn't a time to start learning how to trade. If you want to learn how to trade then do that now that the market isn't pumping.
Next year been your first bull market, you have to be very careful because during bull market alot for fake projects get launched by scammers and they also duplicate already popular coins to convince people to invest in their fake project thinking it's the real project. Scammers are always looking for who to scam more in bull markets.
4447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 19, 2023, 09:22:10 AM
Lately i been looking into altcoins more and more since I have got some more money in my life and want to make more investments then only in BTC.
One thing I was wondering is why nobody yet have created a crypto currency under the name "Merit" yet. Smiley

it's many smart people on this forum with a lot of knowledge about things like this and I think it could be a good currency to create. Smiley

What'll be the purpose of the token, merits are only valuable on the forum and useless outside the forum therefore I didn't see an reason why we need a token that can't be used on the forum called merits. The forum is a Bitcoin forum and that's the only acceptable coin here. Unless you're talking about just a meme coin then that's understandable
If you were to create a meme coin names merits, you'll need lots of marketing and publicity to get the community to accept it. Memecoins like Shiba Inu and Pepe coin did lots of marketing in thousands of dollars been spent to get to where they're today among the top traded coins and have lost of marketcap above other well known projects in the market.
If you're looking for coins to invest for the next bull market then search for coins with fundamentals and not those getting hypes. Any tokens called merits that's exiting or that'll exist in the future should be avoided because they're not in affiliate with the forum. Most high ranked accounts on the forum hate altcoins and won't want anything to do with altcoins.
4448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: June 19, 2023, 06:23:17 AM
The four altcoins you mentioned, I will prefer Ethereum in this season because the evidence to make a passive income from it in the future is there, so I will invest in Ethereum and apply long holding to ensure I smile at the end when the price increase higher. Based on the move of Dogecoin in this season, I don't think I will invest on it because there is no sign that the price will improve higher before the end of this year 2023 and the green light has turned to red light which is the fear of investors. Since the price of Bitcoin has increased to 26,456 few days ago, showed that Ethereum price will hit $2000 before the end of December to allow long term investors to experience massive income from their investment.

Ethereum isn't supposed to be in that list because cryptocurency like Ethereum are on the same level as Bitcoin and it's supposed to be in every altcoin investors portfolio. Ethereum and Bitcoin should be our first cryptocurency to buy before we can start buying other projects that we love. If altcoins season comes Ethereum will always benefit.
I don't think Ethereum and Bitcoin can ever crash like other coins in the market because they both control the whole market. Bitcoin controll all the cryptocurency market but Ethereum control altcoins market. Other project use Ethereum as their example as they want to belike Ethereum or try to replace it such as BNB, SOL and many more.
Dogecoin doesn't need a sign for you to invest in it. Immediately we get to the bull market, Elon Musk will start pumping it again by shilling it constantly to his follower and they'll beginning buying dogecoin which will increase the price. Don't invest too much into memecoins but you can invest some changes into them so if it increase you also benefit.
4449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Categories of Unrealistic Sports Betting Expectations on: June 18, 2023, 08:25:18 AM
We encounter different categories of sports bettors every day, both online and offline. However, some of them express unrealistic expectations regarding their potential winnings.

The first category is composed of sports bettors with a $1000 bankroll who hope to make $100,000 by the end of the year. In what universe do they think this is possible? Such expectations are unrealistic and only occur in the lottery, not in sports betting. Even in sports betting, it would be a chance occurrence, happening only once in every 100 bets. A more realistic expectation would be to aim for increasing their bankroll.

The second category consists of individuals seeking guaranteed wins and fixed bets or matches. These individuals are frequently seen on platforms such as Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and others where sports betting is discussed. They are often the first to express their desire for guaranteed games and fixed matches/bets, believing they will surely win. Unfortunately, these individuals are easily scammed due to scammers taking advantage of their gullibility.

What other categories of unrealistic sports betting expectations have you encountered?
Another category  of people i would want to  add are those who expect to win in gambling,  I don't think people should expect but rather hope to win because expectations leads to great disappointment and as a gambler, we shouldn't build our hopes on expectations rather learn to use the amount of money we are willing to lose for gambling.
I was also one of those persons who always wanted some form of guaranty on each of my bets and I can really relate with how much gullible this set of persons can be because most of this scammers have to build on the gullibility of this set of gamblers and rip them off of their money.
4450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: June 18, 2023, 08:08:30 AM
I just lost 3 Friendly Match last week ago, and all match results draw Grin,

  • Morocco - Cape Verde,
  • Germany - Ukraine,
  • and Indonesia vs Palestine

I don't know why a strong team like German and Morocco didn't play seriously when meet in a friendly match. this will be noted and experienced in the future, So if you are bet in a friendly match, be careful to bet, don't look at how strong that team and squad, just look and be brave to bet in a draw. This is just my opinion, not always all friendly matches result for draw, but with my 3 last bets, I have a thing to bet 70% in the draw  Grin,

how about you?
I haven't had thoughts on betting on friendly matches because I know they aren't any firm of serious games and just as the implies, so they are expected to be without much efforts and struggles because you don't expect players to work themselves or possibly  sustain any form of injury in a friendly match and end up not playing for a real time match.
If I was to bet on a friendly match, judging from your post, then I think I will have to place most of my bets as draw with a very small amount of money.
But I wish to know if friendly  matches have any better or higher odds when betting because personally  I don't think the odds on such games will be high as people might not be so interested to bet on them.
4451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 18, 2023, 08:02:07 AM
Exactly sir because I also felt at some  point that maybe I was the only  one getting bored with the gambling addiction threads and rather than opening several threads and spamming  the board with addiction discussion, while not just get a special thread for such a discussion  at once.

Gambling addiction is a very terrible issue and not just gambling addiction but addiction in general  isn't a funny case but that doesn't mean or justify us to spam and litter the forum and board with such cases as there are possibilities of creating some form of fear in the heart of those who would want to gamble and if you'll  agree with me, you'll  see that, its not a good idea as well.
4452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Ivan Toney's Case and You on: June 17, 2023, 05:11:33 AM
Latest news headline on different news outlets
Quote
Ivan Toney placed 13 historical bets on his own club to lose and has been diagnosed with a gambling addiction, as the written reasons for his eight-month ban were revealed by the FA.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12889780/ivan-toney-brentford-striker-diagnosed-with-gambling-addiction-as-fa-release-written-reasons-into-eight-month-ban

The consequence of betting addiction are so huge that it not only affects the individual but also impacts everything around them. Besides having a bad reputation, and facing ban, Ivan's career is already over.  Although there are critics of the ban by the FA, in my opinion, it doesn't hold any water. The deed has been done, and even if they overturn their judgement one thing is sure; he has a gambling problem. It is already out there and will be there forever.

As you are reading this, it's quite common for many of us to have a friend or family member similar to Ivan. How did you become aware that your friend is struggling with gambling addiction, and what actions have you taken to help them to over it?

I didn't actually go into details of reading all the news from think provided but betting against your team isn't a bad idea and though I don't know the situation  with Ivan but I don't think betting against ones team should  be any major problem.
Gambking addiction is a major problem in the society  and from my little observations the most persons who are affected and easily get addicted ate those who can afford to feed their addiction because from the news and threads here, most of the persons reported to be addicted either have the money to play or have a property to sell and it is on rare cases that you find a completely poor person  getting  addicted.

I haven't addressed any severe gambling  addiction cases but I think almost all addictions are similar and all cases of addiction needs special attention.
4453  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: dinabot scam 2023 on: June 17, 2023, 05:03:48 AM
If you see the history post from @OP.

Is weird and funny at the same time, because most of the post are "scam assumption" post to 98% casino topic. Meanwhile all the post are not explained any proof or further discussion.

So, this post is just a same post like his other post like (fake post scam).
Yeah thank you for drawing my attention to this, in as much as I hate it when casinos steal and rip players of their money,  i also hate it more when players talk ill  of another person's business without making any reasonable research or even giving any reasonable proves.
@op you have to atleast  provide more evidence to your claims else you lock the thread because this is already telling and passing wrong information about another person's business and you'll  agree with me that there are possibilities  of the casinoosing customers just because of this singular thread because any of the casinos user who sees this thread, will at some point start threading with serious caution while dealing with the casino and if possible,  night give up on the casino.

People without valid proves or evidence shouldn't  be allowed to make accusations against any business and if anyone must do, then there shoukd be proves and evidence.
4454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 17, 2023, 04:42:53 AM
Quote
Stereotypically, gender is also cited as one of the reasons why people like to gamble. One of the research findings shows that women tend to prefer percentage-odds-based games and men tend to prefer skill-based games.

For example, poker, from a man's point of view is considered a skill-based gamble. While women see it as a game of calculating the odds.

In gambling, generally, women don't like it when others see them lose. Girls probably prefer slot machines because no one sees players win or lose.

Gambling with slot machines is often a personal experience free of guilt or shame. While the men are not like that.

According to research, when a man loses a gamble, there's a machismo attached to him saying, "Yeah, I lost £500, but I can afford it."

And when you win big, guys like it to be exposed right away. Because, they consider this as part of the skill.

This difference in reasons does not necessarily indicate whether men prefer to gamble than women. Women who like to gamble or men who like to gamble are both related to the courage to take risks.

For different reasons, people who like to gamble see it as fun and for reasons that are more complex than just economics.
Read more (use google translate)

Do you think the results of the research above are correct?

I know that the number of women involved in gambling is very small because in some countries, people's views of female gamblers are still very bad and they are considered dirty and unfit to be a wife. maybe the results of this research can be used by gambling business owners in developing their business.
Generally  I believe  women wouldn't want to be seen gambling openly because of the stigma that might be attached to it.
No one likes to loss not even the men or the women but I think the men can easily cover their shame while it might be difficult  for women to do the same if been mocked.
Gambling  has now been made easier through online gambling where one doesn't necessarily need to go to any physical casino but rather so all his or her bet privately even from her phone and I believe this will be at the  favour of woman.
I really don't think there is any major difference  between the men and women in times of gambling  but the major difference  is the stigma attached to women gambling.
4455  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com on: June 16, 2023, 11:03:45 PM
Lol
I'm sorry it seems I'm  laughing  but the truth is that, these are exact similar cases and news allegations I always expect from people who try out a new casino and suddenly  makes losses because there is always this disbelief that the casino is provably fair and the player might want to investigate  into reasons why he made such losses.
At some points, there have been threads talking about how casino  slot games are been designed to have more house edge against the player and  with this been said, I think anyone who is doing well in slot shoukd count himself lucky.
4456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How the casino takes money from you with a deposit bonus on: June 16, 2023, 10:40:30 PM
Well you did a very great job and if this is true, then I now see reasons why a casino isn't expected to just easily go bankrupt if they play their cards well.
In sure every every businesses has the primary  goal as to make profit and casinos aren't exempted and I have no issues with all these calculations and the gambler because the casino never forced anyone to use the welcome bonus but rather a personal decisions.
I personally  don't make attempt or enjoy making attempts to use the welcome bonuses because of the hello of terms and contains that will be associated and I just simply prefer to skip.
4457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 16, 2023, 10:30:32 PM
I've seen case scenario where people make good profits and never visit gambling a again and already invested in other businesses and today are still doing well.
Most times people want the easy way to make money and gambling seems to be that way that's why most persons wouldn't mind to lavish a huge profit with hopes or getting a bigger one and that's one thing that also drags people to addiction.
I personally can quit gambling  after a huge winning bjt it all depends on the amount won because money worn are sweeter than money earned and that's one thing  that will  keep dragging people to gamble.
4458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 16, 2023, 09:39:41 PM
I'm not specific to any religion and hopefully, no members here will mention any religion, the topic is in general and not specific to one's religion

Can a compulsive gambler that is newly converted to one religion, compel him to stop gambling?

When we talk about religion it's about changing our ways, ideas, and beliefs so when we successfully help one compulsive gambler to convert from an example to an atheist to one's religion can we compel him to stop gambling?

Is it possible that he will continue playing but secretly?

Well the truth is that none of this things will ever happen suddenly and I wouldn't say that the convert will stick so easily but the fact is that fir a newly converted to actually focus and not get distracted to gamble at any point, he or she will actually need someone to be with them or constantly remind them of the consequences of the actions of persistent gambling  and that is why the best place to get someone corrected from addiction is to take them to a correctional center or hospital so that they can be taken proper care of.
I know of cases where some religion speaks against gambling so hard and forbids its members from gambling  but you'll agree with me that some of their members still gamble in secrets which is a prove that religion doesn't really matter but it's one's choice and behavioir.
4459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 15, 2023, 11:35:41 AM
I don't want to speak ill or talk you down but I also want to know if you've ever  practiced this things you listed or you just assumed after your researches from net because most of this things would have been better explained if you already got the experience  yourself.
Nevertheless  your points are great and I love the way you took your time to express each of them.
I don't also think that comparing odd from different  bookmakers will actually have any serious impacts on the decisions of one's bet because from my little observations, it seems most of this bookmakers have almost same odds and if we depend on this then we might make some awful decisions

My goodness to what essence  is this entire episode that I have to read?
Did you get your caption after writing the message? Meh this is so long and there is no way you'll  expect me read all of this just to know the ambivalent attitude to gambling and also your choice of words aren't impressing to me.
I didn't also notice any references  to your work except that of the world population count from Gitnux which simply implies that all your writings were typically from your head without any  citation.
I will advice that you have a recheck on your work  and possibly  add some references to it.
