For the airdrops where 2,500 TIO's are required, I'm curious as to why you need to hold these in ethermask or other wallets. Surely you should be able to get these tokens by holding your coins on the trade io exchange platform?

The guys I trust are here. I'm onboard.

Thank you! We're really looking forward to launching on Friday (planned).

Could do a countdown timer! Alongside early pool details Wink not long to go now!
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CASPIAN - Institutionalizing Crypto Asset Management on: August 14, 2018, 02:14:32 AM
Great looking project and idea! Can't believe there aren't more comments here Smiley

I've also seen caspian on steemit writing contests so if I can make the time I'll pull something together for that.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][IC] INGOT COIN - BRIDGING MARKETS – AN ALL INCLUSIVE ECOSYSTEM on: August 13, 2018, 11:44:52 AM
Check out trade.io - they are doing an airdrop of ingot coin for those who hold Tios. However I think the airdrop has happened, or will happen very soon!

Looks great - keen to know further details on how to mine and what pools it will be released on Smiley

So you'll move to PoS after a period of PoW (with efforts to maintain asic resistance)? Plus with masternodes down the track?

Any detail on who is in the team and what else will make the project stand out in the longer run?

i have my own research. there is no miss information, i check with my own eyes.
just find and read my older post with picture proof.
here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2367245.msg43216469#msg43216469
and I am surprised they finally changed their policies

So are you saying that they previously required kyc for ALL withdrawals, even smaller ones?

Perhaps it was something to do with being in early release. I couldn't see anything on their website about a policy change.

Might also be that they just quietly made the change so as to not draw attention to kyc (which is very unpopular). I for one would not be comfortable sending personal information to a start up just to trade some coins.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 13, 2018, 08:32:43 AM

I have no idea how big MCO investors are still so silent regarding them not releasing the card out to investors. they should start making some noise.

Maybe they bought in at ICO, which had an average MCO price of like $2 USD (or less I think, depending on time they bought in due to fluctuating Eth price). So even now, they're still ahead!

Anyway, they should seriously just release cards in one country that has the easiest approvals, just to prove that they are capable of doing it. I don't even care if it isn't my country, just something to show that they can actually do what they said they can do.
468  Other / Meta / Re: Merit? This got to be a joke. on: August 13, 2018, 06:52:41 AM
I think it is hilarious how the OPs of these type of threads get zero merit or sympathy from readers, and the people who tell them to stop complaining and posting rubbish end up getting a few.

Its like, do the EXACT opposite of what you are currently doing OP and you'll have a better chance of getting merit.

Like that seinfield episode where george does the exact opposite and things turn out awesome.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: August 12, 2018, 10:31:08 AM
can I actually mine to cryptopia wallet or not?

(I know what cryptopia recommends...)

No, because cryptopia has a single deposit wallet for everyone, and without the specific message to include, no way to id the account to credit.

Bismuth has a lite wallet, so its not like you need to download the entire blockchain.

The lite wallet works just fine so recommend you use that. Easy to use etc and mine away!
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 12, 2018, 09:24:01 AM

I think Monaco is a disaster. I saw CEO Kris and his team in the press release video a couple of days ago and say confidently they are a disaster. I would never invest in that "project". Looks as though it is going to collapse soon.

It's just so adhoc. Like they say oh cards soon we just need to do this thing over here and do this other thing, then months go by, and they say the same thing again.

Seriously they must be burning through cash, they need to actually get some products out there.

That QnA they just did was awkward. The answers sounded like we were still in 2017.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: August 12, 2018, 12:21:47 AM
Tell me what's going on with the price, why again such a drop in prices, what is the reason for this?

Price has been around 13k sat for a while now. It's in fact quite stable among all those dropping altcoins.

Exactly. The transition away from PoW often throws other coins out quite a bit as interest from the mining community drops off.

Bulwark has been suprisingly resilient during this broader selloff in crypto even though it transitioned out of PoW.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - A POW/Masternode Cryptocurrency focused on e-commerce utility on: August 11, 2018, 08:41:54 AM
Yeap , nice price now for running masternode.

15 000 * 0.06 = 900 $

Are there any masternode hosting services? Or is does straks frown on that?

Some coins allow you to run a node through a third party platform, while others discourage it. I would only use one if I kept the private keys.
473  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO] [PRODUCTS ✅] EtherAce Decentralized Asset Speculation Platform on: August 11, 2018, 05:59:25 AM
I'm assuming this project is dead? Given no news and the three week bounty 'pause' continues for months?

I guess too many gambling type coins out there to compete with.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 11, 2018, 03:34:55 AM

Well that sounds shitstorm to me. A total non-sense of spending funds that is non-sensical to VISA. Lol what a shame to Monaco. Looks like a waste of funds to those who invested in MCO. I feel it would failed once again. The good thing now is they're now rich and they can do whatever they want with the money they have. Not sincere at all.

ICO raises $26 million to deliver 'Monaco visa cards'.

More than a year later, we have no cards, an expensive crypto.com domain name, Monaco is now MCO since they didn't do their due diligence with checking legal issues with the use of the 'Monaco' label, and doing beta runs for other financial products that will link to cards that don't exist?

I am still believe though, but patience only goes so far. Get the core deliverables done and ship some cards!

NO, but i have trade on bitgrail. a former NANO or raiblocks dedicated exchange and i know the story of MTGOX.
don't you know what i am talking about? i am talking about how hard the trust is.
if it will be regulated or not, there is not much different. the different is not only i have to trust them with my money but i also have to trust my personal data to them. in return also for NOTHING if they collapses. centralization is always shit of risk no matter it will be regulated or not.
i also have a bank account with my fund in there but i do not want to trust them everything. they can lend my money out of credit bubble and when my bank collapses. i might lose everything because i know the risk always in there.
do you know who make cryptocurrency from zero into something and now keep growing?
coinbase?binance? ICO project? greedy people who jump into band wagon and make some bubble?
NO, they don't really care about this cryptocurrency if there is no money. they only care about the possibility making some money. but some real crypto investor did this. they love decentralization and make this happen.
they are coming and put they money into cryptocurrency because they know THE TRUST is the most valuable asset.

Yeah they could easily do a crypto to crypto no kyc required feature, and then require kyc for anything fiat based or other features. For example, I understand the liquidity pool would probably require kyc as they convert assets to USD.

Price of tio is tanking, and you would think this would be the boom time. My guess is that there is real concern on the uptake and use of the exchange, noting that it is still only open to about 5000-10,000 people as of today, and they all require kyc to withdraw their coins from the exchange. I for one am a little uncomfortable providing my personal information to a start up with unestablished ICT security credentials. These concerns can really damage momentum.

I should add that on further investigation it does not appear that you need kyc for smaller crypto withdrawals.

Taken from tio exchange platform:

Quote: "For withdrawal of more then 2 BTC (or equivalent) in a 24 hour period, please verify your account by providing the required information above. You WILL NOT be able to withdrawal more than 2 BTC (or equivalent) within a 24 hour period until all KYC information has been provided AND your account has been verified by the trade.io compliance department. If you have any questions or concerns please email compliance@trade.io"

Some misinformation going around so do your own research! Mine has shown that they only need kyc for large transactions - which makes sense and I have no problem with.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 📱 AppCoins - The New Blockchain-Based Protocol For The App Stores 🔋 on: August 08, 2018, 09:40:45 PM
The company needs a lot to grow, if you look at the chart it's on a historical background. On the coinmarketcap website it shows that it is listed on BiteBTC and they report that they are not. The company has a good project the issue is that the team is a bit weak for the project.

As fas as I know, BiteBTC listed on their initiative and they have strange values on the price of the token. With arbitrage, those values would be impossible.
People in forums are saying that BiteBTC is a scam, that's why probably was not listed.

Yea BiteBtc pops up in scam accusations threads consistently. They require kyc and have been extremely slow to accepted kyc after coin deposits  (according to some of threads out there).
477  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-05] Bitcoin Merchants See Payments Decline in 2018, Despite Record Low on: August 08, 2018, 09:26:04 AM

Quote
If you don't want to use Bitcoin as money during similar market conditions you basically admit that it's not a good form of money.

I disagree. You can do whatever you want with your bitcoins, and it seems to be common sense to not spend as much when the value of your coins have plummeted.

Bitcoin being able to be used for day to day purchases is important for uptake, but its use for purchasing isn't the only thing that should determine if it is a good form of money or store of value.

Gold for example isn't easy to spend at all (much harder than crypto obviously) but it has established and accepted value. Ease of use is just one of many factors that will contribute to Bitcoin's value.

Anecdotally, if you think Bitcoin value will increase over time, than you would hold it for longer, and probably not sell until its price has recovered.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: August 08, 2018, 09:07:38 AM
I think they should release the cards asap now because I as an investor am getting bit worried now because I can't lock my MCO tokens to book a card plus the price is going down and down.

I thought it was possible to lock MCO tokens from the app even though no cards have been shipped. Investors have locked 1.5 million MCO tokens all without a card. That information is available and confirmed.

Yup it is possible to lock up tokens. As you say I think as of end July there were about 1.5 million tokens locked up.

However most people are still waiting for cards. Not sure if the people locking up their tokens are all investors, since many will actually want to have the MCO card since if it was actually released, it would be a good product.

Hey, guys do we know how many MCO tokens are locked up so far? Also is there a page/website where we can check it on our own?

Thanks.

They make announcements on Discord from time to time, the last one was on 24th July with 1,5 Million MCO locked up.

The first ones who made a lockup will end in about three months.

Everyone holding anyway since they want their cards.

Plus Mco just release/sell more of their own tokens to 'increase liquidity' as they say. But really they're diluting circulating supply and put downwards pressure on price.

All the while we wait and wait and wait for cards that were meant to be released last year.
