461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The biggest No while trading on: May 16, 2023, 11:37:52 PM
This is a very important, emotion.
Because managing emotions is effective risk management and can avoid trading under pressure, it's a very important aspect of achieving consistency in trading to become successful.  By focusing on these areas, traders can increase their chances of making rational and profitable decisions.

I'd say IMO, practicing mindfulness and stress-management techniques can help traders stay calm and focused during challenging situations.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Minimize your transaction fee with Electrum wallet on: May 16, 2023, 11:24:28 PM
And Electrum wallet isn't the only Bitcoin wallet that has an adjustable transaction fee, I use Trust wallet and you can also easily adjust your transaction fee in this wallet for Bitcoin..
Yeah right, and I think even closed-source wallets can be modified the transaction fee manually aside from open-source wallets.
When doing a transaction, we should always refer to the mempool to see the status of the network, because when setting a fee that is too low may result in a delay in transaction confirmation, while setting it too high may lead to unnecessary fees.  So, it's important to monitor current network conditions and adjust your fee accordingly to achieve the balance between speed and cost that you want.

Sorry but it's kinda off-topic, I think it's good for them to remind after making such a transaction you can use a free Bitcoin transaction accelerator.  I used ViaBTC to rebroadcast my transaction and put it on priority on the mempool.  It has a limit of 100 transactions per hour.  This contributes to making faster your transaction even if you set it a low-priority fee per bytes based on the mempool status.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I look foward to the day Bitcoin will have backer/tender on: May 16, 2023, 10:53:42 PM
Similar to the on-chain transaction that hosting by a third party, isn't it?
Remember that Bitcoin transactions can't be directly conducted offline since the Bitcoin network relies on internet connectivity for transaction verification and broadcasting. So, therefore, if there's no internet network, Bitcoin transactions wouldn't be possible, even with offline wallets.

The way the world is moving — internet connection globally is getting highly highly better in terms of adoption and overall stability, and will inevitably continue to move forward. Though it's technically an issue, I'd rather we focus on other things than "what if we lose internet connection?"
That's it and I tend to agree, even now in remote areas have internet connectivity.
Just call Elon Musk and order Starlink kit.  Cheesy
464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: May 15, 2023, 11:59:56 PM
I think it's more than 6 months after halving.

AFAIK, it was almost a year before when a bull market reached a new ATH which I think will be the same as this year.
You might need to add another option to the voting poll.

But this IMO prediction and it seems you're right that no one speculates the Bitcoin price.
465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Image uploading websites/ scripts for Bitcointalk users on: May 15, 2023, 11:44:50 PM
You need to remove imgur.com, which isn't working here on this forum, or mark it, as not working.
I tried recently and I thought it was a bug.

I think imgbb.com and Talkimg.cm don't have a problem using here, the rest, I don't even want to try.

By the way, thanks to this thread, it's useful to newbies who didn't know alternatives on imgur.com.
466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance User on: May 15, 2023, 11:11:33 PM
Thanks for informing us of this very important update, as with the result of a high Bitcoin transaction fee, the worst thing an individual could do is send his/her coun to a lost wallet address. But I just checked my Bitcoin (SegWit) wallet address now and only noticed it's still the same that I have been using for months. Or should it be that this new update was made specifically only for USDT deposits?? Because there is no such update on Binance's official Twitter handle.
Because USDT is under the ETH network and based on the announcement here.

(photo is not mine)

Bitcoin network wasn't included.
However, the comment above said was right and I tend to agree.  Always do check the address when you're planning to transfer any coins into Binance.  Especially those coins that are shown in the images above.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third graders and Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 11:59:47 PM
I had a math class with third graders of which we discussed money I told them about virtual and real money of which I was very shocked and happy that they had knowledge about Bitcoin.
However we ended the class after we had spoken alot about Bitcoin they were soo happy and loved the class also
Like wow being with the kids was a nice time for them and I to get to know Bitcoin better look forward to having a class with them next week
That sounds like a wonderful experience and I like it.
It's always great to see children engaging with financial concepts and learning about Bitcoin.
It's particularly impressive that these third graders already had some knowledge about Bitcoin, which is still a relatively new and complex concept for many adults.  By teaching this, we can help them build important skills and knowledge that will serve them well throughout their lives, and who knows, might some of these third graders will grow up to be future Bitcoin experts or entrepreneurs.

Not bad for an age of 8-9 will have an interest in Bitcoin, but IMO it's important to explain the concept in simple terms and emphasize the risks and potential benefits.  It's also important to make it clear that investing in Bitcoin is not a guaranteed way to make money, it might be good if just starting with basic concepts such as saving money, budgeting, and spending wisely.  As they get older and gain more understanding of this digital finance.
468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can copy trading be profitable on: May 14, 2023, 11:50:52 PM
Is copy trading worth it

Can I make 20$ per day if I have 2000$
That's possible but of course, there's a risk and also there's no guarantee about it.
But first, choose the reliability of the platform you use that offers a wide range of traders to copy, and consider diversifying your investments across different traders to mitigate risk.  IMO, the eToro exchange platform could be the potential one when it comes to copy trading.

So if you have $2000 and you want to make $20 per day through copy trading, that's possible but still it depends on the performance of the traders you are copying and also the fees charged by the platform.  In short, there are too many factors that you must be considered.

So if you'll try, good luck with your decision.
469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen to a wallet when the wallet company closes on: May 14, 2023, 11:19:54 PM
What would happen to a wallet when the company hosting the wallet closes down?
Has any wallet company ever closed down before or experienced issue that affected holders Bitcoin?
Most of them declared bankruptcy.
On this list, you will see a few list of bitcoin wallet companies listed and said close because of bankruptcy or forced to close by the government, especially in the US which strictly regulates crypto.

That is why choose a non-custodial and open-source wallet and try to differentiate what is Custodial vs. Non Custodial Wallets.  Choose the wallet where you hold the private keys to your wallet, which means you are the only one who can access your funds, and those wallets are generally considered to be more secure than custodial wallets because they don't rely on third-party services to store your private keys.

My answer to your last question is yes there is.
It's Mt. Gox, filed for bankruptcy in 2014 after losing a huge amount of Bitcoins due to a hack, and then people learn how to use a con-custodial wallet.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: May 14, 2023, 10:49:43 PM
That's how to know a good investors of bitcoin who do not see challenges but the possibilities of making their future work.
Bitcoin is a good assets to invest on but it's also has it own risk which you must learn.
As long as you remember that investing in Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme, you'll be fine.
Because it requires patience, discipline, and most of all knowledgeable enough of how Bitcoin will work for those who understand the risk.

And the last one is, to invest only what you can afford to lose.
Because this kind of investment is highly volatile and risky, so don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

You can apply the DCA way of purchasing on Bitcoin too and I think that's a part of being a good investor.
471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of maintaining wallet on: May 14, 2023, 12:00:01 AM
Those who are running long term investment, always have to undergo the active maintenance of seed phase, password, device for instance if your phone lost, you have to look for a way to restored everything into your new device, most people lost their seed phase, private keys and wallets that's why I have come up with little ideas especially if you're this carefree person.

You are wrong OP, If you set up your seed phase correctly, and you save it in a secure offline place you won't need any "active maintenance" or whatever you mean by that Huh, where did you get this info from?
I tend to agree and a piece of paper would be fine as long as you stored it in a safe area.
Everything on the internet would be vulnerable to hack and storing your private key on email isn't a good idea.  Keep it offline and make multi copies on a piece of paper.

Someone told me before that he stored his private on his favorite book and I think it's a good idea too.
On every page of the book which is the number of his birthday, he separately wrote the seed phrase per page.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 13, 2023, 11:13:50 PM
Utility is not there so we cannot hope for sustainability on its market value unlike other cryptocurrencies in this industry. The market price is solely dependent with the demand.
That's the point and the reason why I didn't invest meme coin at all times because they purely rely on the community hype but not just their utility that will supposedly be a root that can sustain in the long term.  However, if you've enough amount that willing to risk on this coin, it's up to you but at least, we both know how risky to invest this in the long term.

It might this meme coin was on the hype now, it's at the top in the most trending Cryptocurrencies.
473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie should learn from this fast confirmed transactions tricks on: May 13, 2023, 10:59:00 PM
Since ViaBTC is a mining pool, it has the ability to include transactions in the blocks that it mines by including the user's transaction in a block that is more likely to be mined quickly, the transaction is more likely to be confirmed faster than if the user had simply relied on the free market to determine the transaction fee.  But this doesn't guarantee that a transaction will be confirmed quickly, the speed at which a transaction is confirmed depends on a number of factors, including the size of the transaction fee and the current network congestion.

But take note, if you're using below 10 sats you can't use this free service, they'll not rebroadcast below 10 sats based on my experience.
Yes, I personally use this every time I have a transaction, and since it is free.
474  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which best for long term investment? Hardware wallet or Software wallet . on: May 13, 2023, 02:13:02 PM
Software wallet are also not bad to serve as long-term storage as long as we can use them properly.
There is something we need to take good care of and that is seed phrases.
IMO, both are vulnerable to risk whether that's a hardware wallet or a software wallet, as long as you're connected to the internet, you're prone to cyber attack.  Just like using Electrum, how many reports have been a victim of malware attacks even if they're knowledgeable enough about this wallet?  However, both software wallets and hardware wallets have their advantages and disadvantages, and the best choice depends on our individual needs and preferences.

But if you're going to ask me for storing Bitcoin or other cryptos in the long term, I prefer to choose a hardware wallet and spend a little amount on it.  These hardware wallets typically come with advanced security features like two-factor authentication and PIN codes and didn't leave any footprint on the device where you're connected at.  If you're storing a large amount of crypto in long-term investment and prioritize security, a hardware wallet may be the better choice.
475  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Blockchain.info a scam? on: May 12, 2023, 10:57:48 PM
For example, if I wanted to send $10 bitcoin, BC generated wallet would charge me $2 while imported wallet would charge me $0.5
I used blockchain.com in the past too and if I memory serves me right, it didn't allow manual fee customization. It only allowed customers to choose among three priority options: low, medium and high.
The reason why I didn't use my account for this wallet is just because of the fee and it takes time to open your wallet due to a lot of verification.
Why not you guys import your private key from Blockchain.com to Electrum, which on Electrum you can modify the fee even below 10 sats?

But yes, one main factor is always checking the mempool.space for tracking the transaction fee, last week we had an insane network free due to network congestion.  Leave this buggy wallet the Blockchain.com.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Importants of PSYCHOLOGY in a trader on: May 11, 2023, 11:35:06 PM
Yes, and I tend to agree with the OP that psychology is a very important aspect of trading, as it can help traders develop the mental skills and strategies needed to navigate the risky and challenging world of the financial markets, especially in trading.

Because IMO, trading isn't for everyone and if you don't have knowledge or skills trading isn't for you.

The issue of psychology in trading is quite acute. You need to understand that it is precisely due to the ability to psychologically correctly respond to market movements that you can significantly change the results of work.
Emotions are the common problem with regards to trading, and many are tend to be more emotional which results to a negative trade, this is not easy to control but you have to learn how to. If you are going to trade, the first thing that you need to learn is how to control your emotion, and how you can trade effectively because if there’s too much emotion, you might forget how to trade properly and follow your emotion which is not good at all.
Traders who can manage their emotions and make rational decisions are more likely to be successful than those who are driven by fear, greed, or other emotions.  IMO, psychology can help traders understand how their emotions affect their trading decisions and develop strategies to keep emotions in check.
477  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Chipmixer, blender.io fake mixer is still active on the internet. Avoid google🔎 on: May 10, 2023, 11:27:17 PM
I advise anyone to stay away from these links because they may be managed in one way or another by the government.

Quote
Name Servers:kirk.ns.cloudflare.com
carol.ns.cloudflare.com
I could list for you a number of popular mixers here that use Cloudflare too, but in the spirit of togetherness I don't want to do that since it might look weird given that I am wearing a signature of another mixer  Cheesy

Good thing I have given you a clue, just look up.
Has anyone tried to report this fake website of CM on this server?
We can report it to Cloudflare using their abuse reporting system and here are the steps to report a fake website to Cloudflare.

https://www.cloudflare.com/trust-hub/abuse-approach/
Go to that site and click on the "Report abuse" button and fill up the form.

Yeah, the scammers always focus more on the popular ones.
I tend to agree and not only in the mixing service industry, they are everywhere waiting for their victim.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: To receive bitcoins, you must be connected to the Internet ???? on: May 09, 2023, 11:40:38 PM
It's not compulsary unless you want to monitor it.
Even if you want to monitor it there's no one to get online, there are too many block explorers to use and check your public key address if your Bitcoin was successfully landed at your address.  I highly recommend Blockchair.com which has a simple user interface that you can easily understand the status of the transaction you monitor.

Here is a List of useful Bitcoin block explorers that you need to track any traction incoming in your wallet.  Always remember the said above, only the sender will need to broadcast the transaction that needs to be online.
479  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BRC-20 needs to be removed on: May 09, 2023, 11:18:50 PM
And the good thing is it may attract new investors to buy more miners. Meaning if more miner participants are joining they can find and solve more blocks that will help to speed up confirmation process.
Speeding up block confirmations?

No way.
This was what I thought before and believing that increasing the number of miners will help the network congestion until there's such a user corrected me with my wrong perception.

The reason is, those miners are only responsible for processing and confirming transactions, but the speed and efficiency of the network.
Because the network matter such as the size of the blocks, the difficulty level of mining, and the overall network bandwidth and increasing the number of miners can potentially help to distribute the workload and increase the processing power of the network but not the speed of transaction.  Besides, there is the worst result if there are too many miners,  it will increase the competition among miners for block rewards and potentially lead to a greater centralization of the network.

However, I tend to agree that removing BRC20 tokens would be given help Bitcoin congestion.
480  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Delay your Bitcoin transaction for this week| Volunteer campaign on: May 09, 2023, 10:57:59 PM
I think this kind of situation takes almost 2 weeks to cool down. Every 2 weeks, the fee for bitcoin transactions gets adjusted. I think it's already been a week, so I guess we have to wait for another week for it to cool down again.

I don't think this fee can actually go down just like that without anything being done. This fee didn't just go up ordinarily, so I don't think it will go down as well just like that. The more this BRC-20 token hype keeps on increasing, the more I believe we might even experience more of this high transaction fee in the coming days. I believe this fee will drastically go down once those BRC-20 tokens are no longer being produced. As long as blocks are being filled with useless APE pictures that actually have no real life value, the network will continue to be congested, which will give the miner enough work load.
But now, the network congestion has a little bit cooling down, take a look.
However, the Bitcoin network congestion is also the same as the Bitcoin price which heavily fluctuates we can't predict it.

I have this on my mind thinking that this BRC-20 doesn't have a direct effect on the Bitcoin price or market congestion, it might be the market manipulations or we've just had a mass adoption to choose Bitcoin transactions.
