Dumping? What r u talking about?

well not dumping on an exchange, you are trying to get rid of all your NXT.  Or did I confuse your post?
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 04:08:24 PM

This is trivializing my question and misinterpreting my statements.
I said it hurts NXT, not the price, but NXT itself.

I would think BCNext too would have the insight to understand that having a common goal to work towards is healthy for the community, but perhaps he is truly that bad at reading people and markets. I don't know, I don't know anything about him really.

All I know is that YOU CfB talk about his upcoming plans as if they will change and make sense of everything and then when someone is even a tadbit critical, you get all defensive and accuse others of relying on BCNext. That is just wrong in my opinion.

Again: all I want is more info so we can collaborate as a unified community towards a common goal. Why you keep mentioning the price of 1 NXT is beyond me.

I have to agree.  Im very confused with all the puzzles and riddles as well.  It concerns me when CfB is dumping, all the while saying "BCNext said to trust no one on the internet, especially if they are named BCNext"
 Huh

Ok, I don't feel like I am welcomed here anymore. I guess all the hate has reached a tipping point.

Here's a poll, let's play a little reality-show game, where you can actually vote:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448718.0

So if you don't want to see me here or anywhere near Nxt, here's your chance. You can also spout your final insults there.

No one is asking you to leave. Just learn to give constructive criticism (or none at all).

Well I did.  as sort of a wake up call.  Its frustrating that he obviously is a technically very skilled guy, he just cannot interact very will with some people here.  But what you and a few others have said here, (and exactly what I said to him in a PM) is what he needs to work on.  Instead of dramatics of "im leaving" a few times coupled with a reality-show style poll.  Come dude, no one wants that crap, shit EXACTLY LIKE THAT is your problem here.  You have a lot you can contribute, stop acting like a spoiled child
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 02:38:27 PM
Does anybody know what percentage of blocks the hallmarked nodes are forging? If the answer is a very high percentage, it would actually be a very good thing for what I am thinking of.

James

Im not sure if its possible to easily get this information, I am running quite a few public hallmark nodes with heavy hallmarks that never forge
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 02:19:17 PM
He seems to have a hard on for James. The TPS question/issue that James is raising is a valid one. Now it seems like anything jl777 posts elicits an eye roll. The negativity is getting old.

Oh please. You get it all wrong. The zerocoin issue was before TPS anyway, so it's all just your imagination.

And how am I supposed to feel positive when I see stubborn, gross incompetence? Can you teach me, master? Smiley

No he got it right I change my mind on you where previously I said you should not go away now I think you should go play in traffic seriously please sell all your next and just get the f*** out of here
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 04, 2014, 01:51:39 PM
I've watched and enjoyed the vid of Vitalik talking about Ethereum, enthusiastic fellow!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9dpjN3Mwps

What's so enthusiastic about it? Some socially awkward pimpled faced, autistic geek gushing out hyperventilating delusions of "turing" grandeur? How many of the people here even know what this "turing" means and what it involves or anything? Smiley

Why don't they admit exGoldman guys head hunted them, gathered them in a team to milk the bitcoin suckers for cash and profits? It's clear as daylight this IPO model was Goldman trained lackey work.

We have a mathematician, who did campaign activism for Ron Paul and some autistic teen. What are the odds of these people being close to high caliber ex Goldman hedge fund guys who drive Bentleys and fuck super models?

think about it...

Talk about living up to your screen name...  im impressed with your resolve
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 04:57:25 AM
...so we may get 10~100 TPS in April.

10Ktps by april?  you must be high.  we wont have 1Ktps by april unless its a peak b/c they release some feature like alias that resulted in us all squatting 1000's of aliases on the same block.  So it may peak to that due to a feature, but not for day-to-day transactions
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 02:33:09 AM
A big thank you to the donor of 2000 NXT to my website and social networking account.! It's definitely a morale booster and I appreciate it very much!

Can you disclose the total amount of donations, this would help in figuring out how much to delegate.

is this appropriate?  private donations should not be required to be delegated
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] API of Nxt on: February 04, 2014, 01:30:43 AM
on getState, can someone explain more detail of the following 3?  The Wiki page is very basic.

cumulativeDifficulty:
I dont understand cumulative difficulty in NXT at all (or in bitcoin; I should educate myself here) I expect what I need here is a very long explanation, so perhaps you could recommend a good site that can break it down from a beginner level?

numberOfPeers
The Wiki says "NUMPEERS is the number of peers on the network" but is this the node's best guess of total number of all active peers across the entire network? Even including peers that are maybe 10 hops away?

totalEffectiveBalance
Is this the total amount of NXT participating in the forging process?
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: February 04, 2014, 01:01:12 AM
Hello,

I was playing with nem logo, and have found the following shape :

All the letters have the same shape, so the 'E' gathers the N and the M, and could become the money icon :

I am not a graphic designer, so I am sure it can be improved. This is a very first try, for fun.

Olivier

Wow very nice
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 03, 2014, 11:40:10 PM
Could somebody explain to the happy miners why should they buy NXT instead of mining?

They shouldn't. Ppl with "miner" mentality r not welcome. We need open-minded ones.

+1 Nxt

Will it be in the high traffic future possible to forge money with less than 50K or 10K NXT? After year or two from now?

If yes, new interested people should know the situation now. Otherwise they will not come.

We expect a solid 60 sec blocktime for the future, see my calc here https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=733 for forging calculator.

Even if you will only forge a block every few days, future possibility is for a massive rate of transactions and their associated fees.  So that block you forge could have quite a number of transactions in it

Then there is the possibility to get in on a pool that uses a service provider for a 1Mtps node, which could be lucrative.

I've been an admin on a big forum (weebl forum in the glory years) for years and basically I dislike the layout and use of nxtcrypto.

It's very hard to keep good track of threads on it and it's hard to read.  Simply having striped posts installed (different tones for alternate posts) would help immensely.

The main thing however would be to actually dó the move. If we are half committed and all tech people stay in here, it just won't happen.

Running a forum is hard work. Getting a crack team of moderators that balance being fun ánd be able to use the whip while being able to withstand some criticism is also hard.

I'm all for moving, but somehow I don't feel either of the forums will work the way they are. (Italic for emphasis)

you can set your own different theme for NXTCrypto.org forums.  I use the prosilver theme which does have that striped alternate posts thing.  Prosilver also is waaaay more efficient on screen real estate

Opti,

lets create on nxtcrypto.org one topic for general chat, just like we do here, if needed each can go to subforum to talk about spicifics.

that way all is in one thread/page

Sure go for it, heck you can even sticky it in general section, not sure if everyone will come over though
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 03, 2014, 11:06:26 PM
I think everyone agrees with it, but noone feel like THEY should have to pay, so I guess they wait for the committe and fund.

at this point, just pay her costs till now and maybe to cover next month directly from unclaimed NXT.   so she doesnt have to operate at a loss anymore.  future www site costs can come from the committee

All,  Ive asked QBTC to list her out of pocket expenses so far for website.  Obviously, she should be reimbursed from unclaimed NXT for this, hopefully along with a bit of bounty for her hours and hours and hours of professional services on the site.

And the community will need to determine if she should scale back the performance of the site to lower the bills.

Obviously she cannot continue to fund the www site like she has been doing.  If the community doesnt want her to continue running it then at least reimburse her for the $ she's spent on it so far.

I made a proposal yesterday for at least her cost so far (which is considerable, btw) to be reimbursed directly from unclaimed coins since she has already provided those services.  But no one seems to want to do that, so I guess we probably wont have a www site whenever the monthly cost for it is due again.

I was thinking that we could pay her costs from until now directly from unclaimed NXT, and the future costs would come from marketing fund, but at this point it looks like we wont have a web site too much longer, unless someone else wants to just pay the cost out of their own pocket as well as do all the work themselves.

WTFO?Huh   Angry  Personally I think she has been doing a phenomenal job and the lot of you are complete assholes for making me write all this up.

476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] API of Nxt on: February 03, 2014, 10:05:36 PM
can we get explicit info on the getPeer API?

the downloadedVolume:  is that figure the amount other peers have downloaded from the node returning the data, or is it the amount that peer has downloaded from other peers?

And is it bytes or packets or what?

arent you the 2nd account of the level coin scammer?
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 03, 2014, 09:37:08 PM
I'm selling 1'366'334 NXT for 100 BTC. Anyone?

I should have added that it's the price with 10% discount to market price.

Why are you selling so much?  Cry

It's all I have left.

I'm going to fund a project but I recalled how easy my last donation was deanonymized. Now buying bitcoins, mixing and buying nxts back is the only reliable way to break links between accounts.

couldnt you launder it through an exchange?  bter/degex/peercover?
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 03, 2014, 08:57:22 PM
all, thanks to user farl4bit on nxtcrypto forums, we have 5 new public hallmarked nodes, bringing my total number of nodes to 24.

Nxt™ is the first cryptocurrency where no mining takes place on the network, unlike Proof of Work currencies such as Bitcoin.

This is from http://www.nxtcrypto.org/

NxtTM? WTF?
