@zasad@. I very much disagree that CZ and Binance can easily be declared as terrorists and can also easily be proven in court. That is a very head shaking argument.

In any case, if it was easy and if sentenced in court as terrorists, this would certainly create a very dangerous precedent on who else will easily be proven as terrorists in court. Everyone can and will easily a terrorist including car companies, mobile phone companies, banks and many other companies' products and service that were used by terrorists and drug cartels would be under investigation.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2024, 05:20:53 AM
Not sure if this is true or not,

https://twitter.com/boxing_william/status/1758908335083192470

But based on that statement, it seems that they are forcing Canelo to fight Benavidez next and so they are negotiating behind. Again, there's a lot of rumors that it will be Charlo next for Canelo in May. Let's see how this so could negotiation goes though, if this is real then good for us. But it might have been contradict what Canelo said recently that he doesn't want to fight another Mexican. All we can do right now is wait until we finally hear official statement from Canelo.

I think this is true Mauricio Sulaimán is eager to see this fight but Canelo Alvarez is furious upon hearing this, as he wants to fight Jermell Charlo in his next fight but instead Sulaiman wants a mandatory fight between Canelo Alvarez VS David Benavidez, and Sulaiman then added that Canelo VS Benevidez is a more logical fight to see than with a Charlo fight. it should be rematched but instead because of WBO's Mauricio Sulaiman, Canelo Alvarez will fight Benavidez.

Mauricio Sulaiman is from the WBC. In any case, it appears that Sulaiman is listening to the fans and he wants to give us what we have always wished to witness for Canelo's next opponent. I have also seen a locked thread about the PBC offering Canelo $55 million if he signs the deal. This will certainly show that Canelo is avoiding king David Benavidez if he rejects this hehehehe.

On Caenlo fans who want to defend him for this. This is boxing where the best fighters should fight each other. This should not be something similar to the Miss Universe.
463  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What after localbitcoins.com shutting down on: February 23, 2024, 04:55:03 AM
I think People can easily use the P2P platform available on Binance and other centralized exchanges. Why do they need other sites like localbitcoins etc for this purpose?

Also, I think that these sites have been losing business ever since the biggest exchange Binance has launched their P2P platform and that is very secure too.
Not everyone can legally access Binance and not all are fan of centralized exchanges that asks KYC. Besides localbitcoins are famous p2p platform on its prime years not until it asked KYC requirements which started its dooms day.

Similar to any online money processor, it would be quite naive to expect that it will stay no KYC forever. Does everyone expect the government would allow criminals to send and receive money freely without imposing anti money laundering laws? This would certainly be head shaking if they left Localbitcoins alone hehehee. This is not the fault of anything or anyone. This is reality.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: February 23, 2024, 04:23:46 AM
He can win for best director or best picture, however, not the both of these categories heheheh. This year might be another unpredictable like CODA and Green Book.
Oscar for Best Picture goes to produces of the movie, not to director. But I do agree that its a pretty common thing for a movie not to win both Best Picture and Best Director Oscars. For example, in the last 20 years, 8 movies won both of those awards so there are solid chances that Nolan doesn't win his Oscar this year.

Yes but Christopher Nolan is also one of the producers of Oppenheimer. However, this is my big prediction for the 2025 Oscar awards for best picture and the best director categories. It will be one of the movies that will win both categories. The title of this move you know already heehhe. It is Dune 2 for best picture and Denis Villenueve for best director.

This Frenchman created some of my favorite movies with the best cinematography. Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 and Dune 1. Everyone should certainly watch them. He also directed good mystery and crime thrillers.
465  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CFTC releases a report on DeFi, recommends certain actions from the government on: February 23, 2024, 03:07:25 AM
@zasad@. I might agree that Tether can be taken down similar to the occurrence on how BUSD was taken down, however, I cannot agree on Circle. Circle is licensed in America and their headquarters are in Boston, Massachusetts. They are also backed by influencial institutional investors that would make Circle's success a certainty. They will lobby, bribe, do anything that they are capable to become the government's first choice stablecoin provider.

Also, the use of USDC does not make Circle a terrorist organization. Why do you argue about this? If a bank robber used a certain car to rob a bank, does this make the car company responsible for the bank robber?
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 22, 2024, 05:20:23 AM
I'm going to watch the UFL or whatever they are calling themselves, but it's just nowhere close to being as exciting as the NFL. Lot's of bad coaching mixed with mediocre players makes for a bad watch IMO. Am I wrong? Did anyone wake up on a Saturday and think to themselves "I have to be home for the xfl game tonight" anytime last season?

I was also confused, however, it appears that the XFL and the USFL has merged and they are calling their new league the UFL which will begin on March 30. Learning about these small leagues might be good to win some money, I reckon hehe. There are NBA bettors who have said that it was easier to win money betting on WNBA.

The XFL and the United States Football League (USFL) will relaunch as the United Football League (UFL) following the merger between the two spring football leagues.

The eight-team competition will kick off its ten-game regular season on 30th March 2024 and be divided into two conferences: USFL and XFL.

The USFL Conference will feature the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers. The XFL Conference will consist of the Arlington Renegades, DC Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and St Louis Battlehawks.

Houston was the one overlapping market between the XFL and the USFL and deemed one of the strongest markets for both leagues. As a result, the USFL’s Houston Gamblers have been rebranded as the Houston Roughnecks.

The opening game of the 2024 campaign will see the Stallions face the Renegades, 2023 champions of the USFL and the XFL respectively. Players will report to training camp on 24th February in Arlington, Texas, where the XFL trained last season.

@dansus021. How long have you been in Duelbit's campaign? Betting on movie, music and tv awards has always been there in the betting specials category.

@OgNasty. It is in the politics and entertainment category in stake.com for a long time also. This is also very common for sportsbooks.

I have been creating the thread for the Oscar awards for 5 years, I reckon.

There was also Game of Thrones season and episode outcomes betting in this subforum. It was a very popular thread hehe.
468  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: South Korea Strengthens Crypto Exchange Regulations on: February 22, 2024, 03:47:53 AM
Tightening regulations is good for protecting new investors, as in the coming months there may be a high demand for cryptocurrencies and a higher possibility of fraud, but tightening them to a very high degree may hinder the development of technology, so it is a double-edged sword. I hope that the government’s goal is to protect investors from the consequences of scammers or these fake volumes exchanges which may steal their investments.

Agreed if the regulations the government creates is truly for the protection of consumers. However, I would argue that the government does not care about the small minnows in the pond. I reckon much of these regulations are created on the direction of the rulers of the country who have funded political campaigns and who have placed the people they control on certain government positions.

Also, maybe in the beginning they will make it appear that they were created to protect the consumers. However, through lobby and bribes they always add new rules and new wordings that would give them more advantage and make the environment less fair for us.
469  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tether Cryptocurrency Becoming ‘Preferred Choice’ Among Money Launderers on: February 22, 2024, 02:55:16 AM
@zasad@. It would certainly be head scratching to call Tether terrorists because they are not terrorists. If the terrorists use American dollars, are the issuers of the dollar terrorists? If the terrorists used a certain brand of cell phone to activate their bombs, is the cell phone company a terrorist?

In any case, what are you implying on Tether's capitalization and being called a terrorist? Is the when the American government waits for a company to reach a certain size before the takedown hehehehe.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: As Bitcoin Prepare for more Bull, What's your Decision on: February 21, 2024, 03:05:24 AM

I reckon when someone begins to hold much bitcoins where someone starts to win or lose more than an amount of his monthly expenses in every 10% pump or a 10% dump, this might cause someone the question if this is reality or if we are in the matrix hehehehee.

On every pump, it will make the holder dream of retiring early. However, on every dump it will make him thankful on having a real job hehe.
471  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: South Korea Strengthens Crypto Exchange Regulations on: February 21, 2024, 02:21:50 AM
It would not be very head scratching anymore if the next of these stringent rules would be on the normal investors of the cryptospace where their regulators will begin to allow only individuals belonging to a higher income category.

They will declare that this is for the protection of the consumers, however, what they might be doing is they do not want normal people to have the peer to peer charcteristics that these cryptocoins are giving us. They want us to continue using their currency and their middlemen.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: February 21, 2024, 01:47:40 AM
This strengthens his chance to win the Oscar award for best director and this also might strengthen my speculation that the best picture might not be given to Nolan by the voters hehehe.
I don't understand why would that lower the chances for Oppenheimer to win Best Picture Oscar. Care to elaborate?  Grin

I am only speculating that because we have witnessed that there were some years where the best picture winner for the Bafta and the Oscar awards were different then this might be one of those years. Also, because Oppenheimer is for certain win best actor and best director and other awards, I speculate that the voters might have something different for Christopher Nolan. He can win for best director or best picture, however, not the both of these categories heheheh. This year might be another unpredictable like CODA and Green Book.
473  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tether Cryptocurrency Becoming ‘Preferred Choice’ Among Money Launderers on: February 21, 2024, 01:16:19 AM
The fud against Tether is very head shaking and it appears it is becoming very clear who might be responsible and where this is coming from. I speculate that this is coming from the American government and with the help of Tether's biggest competitor Circle hehehe. It would not be shocking if the new mayor of bitcoin is helping also.

Caroline Hill of Circle have made their position very clear when she begged the lawmakers in congress to give the treasury department the authority to crackdown on Tether.

Mayor of Bitcoin

In a February 15 Congressional hearing, Caroline Hill, Senior Director for Global Policy and Regulatory Strategy at Circle, has called on Congress to grant the Treasury Department the authority to go after Tether and its banking partner Cantor Fitzgerald. Hill said that the US Treasury Department should have the authority to take action given “Tether’s reputation” as well as available data that “they are contributing to terrorist financing and other malign activities.”

474  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: American banks require permission from the SEC to store cryptocurrency on: February 19, 2024, 03:51:52 AM
If Coinbase holds majority of ETF and bank bitcoin do you think this gonna be to centralized? To be honest I like when bitcoin Etf got approved but when all just use coinbase it will be too centralized in my opinion and when something bad happen the domino effect would likely to happen.

and of course everyone want the slice of bitcoin pie hahaha

It will certainly be centralized and this is the risk of a cryptocoin with limited supply. There is also the risk of Coinbase being hacked.

It presently appears that more people in the community are beginning to have questions and also are being skeptical on bitcoin's monetary policy hehehe. The developers of Grin wrote an argument against bitcoin's monetary policy. Everyone should read this.

475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2024, 03:11:22 AM
Why I dont see discussiin about UFC 300 main event fight? I remember someone here asked for predictions, but I have told that I dont want to do that because I dont want to get disappointed, because we wont get what we want. Now its Pereira vs Hill. Honestly, I am disappointed. I have expected something that wall drop my jaw and I would be speachless. Now it is just a good fight. But honestly not a fight of a round/anniversary level.

I heard there are contenders in UFC 298 who will be fighting on 300. I think it was Rogan who said this a week ago and then some changes will happen after the 298.
Tuporia challenged Conor in his interview and we people are still drawn to what Conor can do in the octagon so once Conor is announced I think this will still make a load of cash for UFC PPV and Dana.

Pereira vs Adesanya would have been more jaw-dropping. What fans can expect more I guess its the golden canvas on UFC 300 and probably the Bitcoin logo on it.  Grin

However, the UFC's partner is Vechain. The Chinese blockchain that partnered with McDonalds hehehee. Does everyone remember this joke on 2017? It was only fud, however, everyone believed this when it was shared in social media by an influencer. The price dumped very quickly and this fell more than -20% and this was immediately pumped back heheeh.

476  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CFTC releases a report on DeFi, recommends certain actions from the government on: February 19, 2024, 02:19:18 AM
Very much to what has been speculated before by some people in the cryptospace, stablecoin issuers like Circle and Tether will become the governments shepherds to control how much inflows of fiat will he allowed in the cryptospace. This is the beginning.

On the government's mission to crackdown on DeFi, this should certainly be encouraged to cause the developers to create stronger infrastructure that would be more difficult to shut down hehehee. This is also only the beginning. DeFi will win.

Crypto critics often warn of digital currencies' potential to destabilize the U.S. dollar, but Federal Reserve Gov. Christopher Waller argued that stablecoins' dependence on the dollar could actually strengthen the U.S. fiat currency as decentralized finance (DeFi) catches on.

477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 19, 2024, 01:55:08 AM
Assuming Garcia loses to Devin Haney by knockout or unanimous decision, I suspect there will be not any more boxers and champions that need the mentorship of James. Garcia is in the same place as James, assuming that Haney wins in a spectacular manner, the fans will never again show interest in his next battles.
I don't see this fight ending in KO in favor of Haney. The champion understands that Garcia has a high KO rate, that means his strategy will be the same, he will be using his quickness to score and will look Garcia like an amateur.  If that would be the scenario of the fight, then Garcia's training is not effective, it's a big gamble for him and his trainer, but if he could have a competitive fight even if he losses, I think people would still be interested in watching him since he is the underdog of this fight, and of course, his trainer will keep the job.

Ryan Garcia is also young and quick. What Devin Haney will be using is the philly shell, very much similar to the boxing style of Floyd Mayweather, however, a type of the philly shell that is not very good like Floyd hehehe.

If we haven't notice on Ryan Garcia's last fight, he was also using the shoulder roll or philly shell (mayweather style). Although Haney had probably mastered it, but seeing Ryan Garcia using the same strategy might help him improve his defense. Well, we will see if it will work against Haney though, although Ryan might be quick ( I agree) but I believe he is flat footed so that strategy might be fully working against Haney.

Quote
In any case, it appears that Devin Haney is not small for the super lightweight division. I thought King Ry would be taller than him and also with the longer reach. They almost have the same height and Haney has 1 inches longer in reach.

And Haney probably had the edge with his built as he looks strong with full of muscles wrap around his body.

Will see this one for sure and for sure this will be the toughest fight of King Ry.

King Ry was using the philly shell tactic because we can be quite certain that he wanted to avoid the Tank Davis Tyson power punch to his jaw hehehe. He might need to use this tactic against Devin Haney, I reckon. According to someone he has fists of pillows. This is very funny.

Also, King Ry changed his trainer. We might witness a new style and use different tactics in the ring. I also wish this fight will be 12 rounds of action and end with a split decision.

I will also give XFL a chance. It appears everyone in this thread will watch it? I hope I will like it and the theory of relativity occurs to make the 6 months of waiting feel it was only 1 month.

Pains me to say it but I suppose probably will as well. I'm gonna be jonesing for more football pretty soon. Although, and I'm pretty sure I mentioned it last season as well, fiending for the XFL after the end of the NFL is the equivalent to being out of weed and having to scrape the resin from the inside of a pipe in order to achieve some kind of dubious high. Its not nearly the same thing as the real deal but if you're desperate enough or have a good enough imagination, it almost is.

Your mission Mr. Nutildah if you choose to accept it is to pretend to be Dick Vermeil and watch all of the games and find the next greatest undrafted player for the NFL. A player very much similar to Kurt Warner.

This is what I might do to know these players heheheh. It would be very boring to watch if we do not know anyone or who to follow. There might also be these players in XFL that were not given a chance in their careers.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: February 18, 2024, 06:23:39 AM
@franky1. However, the daisychain has ended already after the bankruptcy of FTX. Many founders have retired or were forced to leave their positions. The only original crypto rulers that are still running their exchanges and operations might be 2 only, Brian Armstrong and everyone's idol the announcer of announcements Justin Sun hehehehe.

In any case, Grayscale sent 4018 bitcoins to Coinbase according to some news articles. This might be the cause of the latest dump or this dump presently might only be the fear of the real dump.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 17, 2024, 06:48:30 AM
I will legit give the XFL league deal a chance as well.  Anyone know any big names in the league off the top of their head?

After having the worst performance in the draft and our fantasy league, I cannot wait to play again on the next season hehehe. I will also give XFL a chance. It appears everyone in this thread will watch it? I hope I will like it and the theory of relativity occurs to make the 6 months of waiting feel it was only 1 month.

@DireWolfM14. Can we not use Bitcoin blockchain for lottery next season, it does not like me heheheh. I propose we use the Ethereum blockchain hehe!
