461  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New Crypto Tax Law In US 10k+ Transactions Must Report to IRS in 15 Days on: January 08, 2024, 03:43:36 AM
Here is the Article:

https://news.bitcoin.com/new-crypto-tax-law-takes-effect-in-us-transactions-of-10000-or-more-must-be-reported-to-irs-within-15-days/

As of Jan 1st 2024. They are asking you to report who is sending the funds you also need to include the name, physical address, social security number, transaction amount, and nature of the transaction.

Read more on DailyCoin: https://dailycoin.com/new-irs-crypto-law-targets-traders-with-ambiguous-tax/

I think this is completely ludacris, and they only give you 15 days to do it or they state that you could potentially get a felony, I mean is this some kind of joke?

This is honestly on par with FinCen requirements for ISOs and Money Service Businesses but for crypto instead of cash. Honestly how are they going to enforce this strict policy?

The joke is when they begin enforcing this by requiring the user who are using nonhosted wallets to register them by submitting for documents for KYC or tell you to move your funds to a centralized hosted wallet that has registered with the proper government departments.

Everything that has been speculated years ago in social media and in this forum is presently starting to happen. What the next occurrence might be is they will not allow people from a lower income bracket from investing in the cryptospace.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 07, 2024, 06:45:04 AM
Are we living in another reality heehhe. Also, does Francis Ngannou have any plans on fightning in MMA again? It appears that he will retire after 1 or 2 more fights in the boxing ring.
I don't think that Ngannou will come back to UFC, he had beef with Dana White and not sure if other organizations is willing to get him because if there is, he wouldn't box against Fury. And he get his biggest paycheck in boxing, so doesn't make sense for him if he can fight like 2-3 more and then fill his bank with millions.

In any case, on the fight itself, what is the height and reach difference between Joshua and Ngannou? If Ngannou has the advantage on both height and reach, I reckon Joshua might have much difficulty in closing the distance to start his offense.

Everyone already knows Ngannou's knockout punch that almost made Fury lie down on a stretcher hehehe.
Haven't check the stats, but if Ngannou was able to put Fury in the canvass, just imagine if that power touches AJ fragile chin, he might not get back from the canvass and Ngannou winning by knockout. So still, this is going to be a interesting fight and fans are going to love this.

I am not talking about the UFC. Everyone knows that he has not signed the contract offer with uncle Dana. I am talking about fighting in MMA and he has signed a contract with the PFL, where he was allowed to fight in boxing. In the UFC, uncle Dana would not give him this permission.

Hyped. I'd heard there was strong rumours about this fight last week and glad the Saudi's have now made it happen. I honestly can't even predict this fight. If Ngannou can floor Fury he can surely do the same to AJ. Ngannou has said that he didn't go in 100% against Fury because he was worried he would gas out quickly and Fury would take advantage of that. Now he knows he can go 10 rounds with the current heavyweight champ I think this makes him much more dangerous. I think I'd put money on either a Francis KO or AJ on points.

Also, does Francis Ngannou have any plans on fightning in MMA again?

Yes. He's signed a multi-fight deal with the PFL and also has equity in the company if I understand correctly. The trouble with the PFL is there's nobody really for him to fight. Name me one PFL heavyweight?

The PFL can create something similar to the gladiators during Roman times and have Francis Ngannou fight 3 lightweight fighters in an entertaining 3 vs. 1 hehehehehe.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 07, 2024, 05:40:54 AM
@nutildah. The Texans did not only show their astutefulness when they picked CJ Stroud during the draft as their replacement for Massage Watson. They also sold Watson for one of the highest trade deals in the history of the NFL. The Texans also did this when Watson was suspended and it appears they knew that he would not be the same player after suspension hehehehe. The Cleveland Browns were scammed.

Who do you guys like for this weekend?

I'm taking:

Jags @ -3.5
Bucs @ -4.5
Packers @ -3

These are all teams that need the W to secure a playoff spot, and they are all playing teams that are out of contention.

The games I'll be watching for fun are Texans vs. Colts and Ravens vs. Dolphins. Both should be tight-scored games.

On the Texans vs. the Colts, both of these teams are still considered in the hunt, correct?

In any case, it also appears that Jonathan Taylor is back 100% healthy from a long injury. He is presently playing a very good game. I am not quite certain how many rushing yards but it is many and he also has 1 touchdown. I speculate that he will be in the top 10 of the draft order for fantasy next season heheheh.
465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: January 07, 2024, 02:18:20 AM
@JayJuanGee. It would also be something funny to witness the reaction of the people if Sam Bankman Fried gets a presidential pardon from Biden before he steps down heehehe. If a pardon occurs, I would not he shocked and we would already know that it would be the work of Barbara Fried, Sam's mother who is a very well connected democrat.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 06, 2024, 04:10:22 AM
Wow the amount of backups playing this week has to be a record!

Hehe we can be quite certain the Ravens will be playing all of their backups. The odds for them is 2.45 vs the Steelers' 1.58 hehehe. However, I have a very strange feeling the backups of Baltimore will be hungry enough to win the game.

In any case, it also appears that the speculation on who would win the game between the Ravens and the 49ers would decide the winner of regular season MVP contested by Purdy and Lamar is correct. Lamar appears to have it according to the sportsbooks. The odds for Lamar is presently 1.01, this was 5.00 before their game. I mentioned this, however, I did not bet it hehehehe.

Also, there is the question of what will happen to the receivers of those campaign donations if Sam Bankman Fried is found guilty of political campaign financing violations and for using FTX's customer funds? Should the DOJ call on the public prosecutor's office to start filing cases against those politicians and political groups that have received the funding? This would certainly be a big scandal. It is much safer and easier to drop the cases against Sam.
469  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 06, 2024, 01:21:43 AM
It was Jim Cramer. The market dumped on our faces after he declared that bitcoin cannot be killed and it is here to stay heheheeehehe.

Why would that be a reason which caused the price to drop? Most agree that the reason was in the Matrixport report, which says that the ETF will probably not be accepted this month, which consequently caused liquidation about "$500 million worth of positions across derivatives exchanges."

I would also single out the news that Saylor announced that he was selling part of his company's shares, which some may have interpreted as negative news.

Also, it is very headshaking that there are people in the forum who remain to think that it is not a bull market after bitcoin has done a 3x since November 2022. When will they be bullish?

The fact that the price is x3 times higher than the time you mention is for me personally just a recovery after the scandals with Do Kwon and Bankman, and I wouldn't call it a bull market at all. Realistically, the price of BTC in this period should be around $35k, and everything else is pumped up due to speculation about spot ETFs - and as soon as bad news appears about it, everything starts to collapse.

Realistically, the real bull run has so far always happened after the halving and it will probably be the same now - except that now we have an ETF in the game, although, as always, the decision will be uncertain until the very end.

You are not familiar with the meme called Inverse Cramer? I have always been joking about it in the forum hehe. Bitcoin pumps when Jim Cramer is negative and it dumps when Jim Cramer is positive heehhehee.

Also, I disagree that selling Microstrategy shares to buy more bitcoin is to be considered bearish. This is certainly very bullish.

In any case, if this is not yet a bull market then when will the bull market begin for you? Once the price pumps to a new all time high?
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 04, 2024, 06:25:45 AM
@Ziskinberg. It would be headshaking to think Casimero would win against Inoue in his prime ehehehe. It would be something similar to saying some boxer in super featherweight would win against Pacman during his prime. However, it might not be a good comparison because much of Pacman's opponents were good fighters who could win against him also.

Also because we are given the impression that Inoue's team wants their fighter to fight in Las Vegas then Luis Nery would be the best opponent to promote for an American audience. Nery lost only to Brandon Figueroa.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 04, 2024, 06:09:52 AM
@pawel7777. On Ankalaev vs. Walker after witnessing how the fight begun and what occurred before the illegal elbow, everyone already knows that Ankalaev has the advantage on physical strength. However, Johnny Walker might have also learned much from this and he might have changed something in his training to fix this deficiency or he might have a new tactic created with his team to use against Ankalaev. I like the Russian on their first encounter but on this rematch where Johnny Walker knows and experienced Ankalaev's strength, Walker might use more footwork to avoid grappling with the Russian.

@Rikafip. It might be more to protect the receiver of those funds because putting Sam on trial for it might expose who they are, how much was received and what type of favors were being given to Sam in exchange for those donations.
I don't know if you miseed that part of my previous post, but that list is already out so we already know who received money and how much. Therefore, your argument about them not putting them on trial for that doesn't make sense. Or am I missing something here?

That is a long list with both Democrats and Republicans hehee.
~90% of them being democrats. Not that it matters though, just saying.

Without a trial there will not be any digging into more facts or putting it on the focus of public awareness. Also, can the people in the list not be called on the stand to speak the whole truth and nothing but the truth? They cannot commit perjury and they also cannot destroy their political careers.

There are speculations from people on social media that having Sam removed from a second trial was the work of his mother Barbara Fried. It appears that she used the politically sensitive situation to her son's advantage hehe.
473  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 04, 2024, 04:25:57 AM
WTF is happening right now?  Just when I thought everything is gonna be alrightthe market turns right into blood bath mode and dumps all over the place...  :/

I haven't looked into the news yet but if I were to guess, I think the market sell off has something to do with the ETF getting rejected once again and it's another wait and see for the next round.  Lmao.  This is hilarious.  But what else is new... The market always makes an ass out of everybody.

It was Jim Cramer. The market dumped on our faces after he declared that bitcoin cannot be killed and it is here to stay heheheeehehe.

Speaking on CNBC, television personality and economic analyst Jim Cramer stated that you can’t kill Bitcoin, as it’s here to stay. Moreover, Cramer called the digital asset a “reality” that many have to come to grips with. Additionally, labeling the token a “technological marvel” due to its constant perseverance.

@rdbase. Christian McCaffrey will be out for week 18 and according to some news articles, he has a minor calf injury. However, if this minor injury becomes bothersome, it would certainly affect his performance for the post season.

The expectations of the fans are the Ravens and the 49ers will reach the superbowl, however, if McCaffrey really has a more serious injury and Lamar is known not to perform as well as the regular season, we might witness other teams reach the superbowl. We cannot underestimate the Chiefs, the Cowboys and the Lions.

Congratulations to the winners New England Potatoes, the Barbarians and the Mooncoiners! I cannot wait for next season's draft. The draft is always my favorite part of this league hehehe.

Another exciting part of the NFL before the regular season are the draft picks. The Bears get no.1 pick.

@Saint-loup. The transaction has confirmed already. Good luck to our bets!

In any case, I watched Maestro and Poor Things already. Carrey Mulligan was very good in taking the role as the wife of Leonard Bernstein. Emma Stone was also very good as a type of Frankenstein creature where thr fetus brain was placed in the mother's head after the mother commited suicide. Do not watch it with children around hehehehehe.

@Rikafip. How was Killers Of The Flower Moon for you?
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 01, 2024, 05:54:02 AM
Crazy finish to the Lions/Cowboys game right now... It was close all game. Lions had a chance to tie it with an extra point, but they decided to go for 2... And they were successful, until it came to light that one of the Lion's O-line committed an "Illegal Touch" during the play as he had not reported to the officials. They weren't very happy about it.

So they tried it again, didn't get it, but this time the Cowboys had committed a penalty, so they got a 3rd chance. They could have just kicked it to tie, mind you, but that wasn't good enough, so they had one more chance, and of course they biffed it. Cowboys win by 1.

I’m in a championship game and had Jake Ferguson in my lineup so was following closely. Of course he had a terrible game, just like both the Lions and Cowboys. Cowboys D completely falling apart there at the end but redeeming themselves by holding up on those moronic 2pt conversion attempts. Dude kick the ball!

@everyone ..like I was saying, I think the Ravens are legit the best team in the league.

Lastly how about them Chicago Bears locking up the #1 pick in the draft 🙌🙌 SO pumped!

It appears that after watching the Dolphins vs. the Ravens you might be correct hehehe. The argument is going towards their side and it also appears there are news articles speculating that Lamar will be the regular season MVP.

However, for this post season what type of Lamar will be playing? Will it be something similar to the past where he plays good on the regular season but bad during the post season hehehe.
479  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: December 31, 2023, 07:33:22 AM
In India, it appears there might be no regulations incoming for the cryptospace hehehe. They will ban the websites of 9 of the most popular exchanges which will include Kucoin, Binance and Kraken. What I am afraid of is this might also start spreading in other jurisdictions and they also will start banning the websites of these exchanges from being accessed in their countries.

According to recent reports, India is set to ban 9 crypto exchange URLs in a move from the country’s Financial Intelligence Unit. indeed, they have called for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to block the URLs for exchanges like Binance, Kraken, and others.

The move will also affect Huobi, Kucoin, Bittrex, Gate.io, Bitstamp, Bitfinix, and MEXC Global. Moreover, a press release revealed that the ban occurred after these virtual asset service providers (VASP) were not in compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

480  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price? on: December 31, 2023, 06:41:48 AM
This contrarian prediction by Cryptoquant is causing the contrarian me to become the skeptical me and it is causing me to speculate that bitcoin will not dump below $40k hehehehe.

Happy new year! Uncle Gary might postpone again until March and this might have no negative effect on the market.

Bitcoin (BTC) is expected to correct to as low as $32,000 next month following the potential approval of a spot ETF, according to data provider CryptoQuant.

In what is being described as a potential "sell the news" event, CryptoQuant said in a note to CoinDesk that trader's unrealized profits are currently lingering at a level that historically precedes a correction.
