I'm not sure if people pumps bitcoin only for free BTG, but bitcoin price seems declined to $5400 right after btg hard fork.
People surely want to get profit at the peak, so it's normal for bitcoin get corrected after reach ATH over $6300.
Give it some time and bitcoin will recover to $6K mark. And the next big thing is 2x hard fork which will be launched on November 18.
Anything but bitcoin will be dumped soon, whether bcash, btg or even btc1.

No. You got money from supply and demand. You didn't necessarily profit, and the money that people use to buy these forks at those prices could also affect the BTC price. It seems like a pretty stupid assumption to suggest that it is "free money". let's give this altcoin a chance to show what it got
It's already shown what it has. A massive premined and a lot of money for the developers over a fairly simple change. This kind of unnecessary neutrality is what makes people hold their BTG. They hold it just because it is a fork, not because of any actual merit. It's not a stupid assumption at all, since someone doesn't have to do anything but holding bitcoin and then he will get free BTG. If BTG has real value, and there are some people who want to buy btg from the first person, it's called free money obviously. It's real profit for most people who have bitcoin in their wallet, just like bcash free distribution two months ago. Btg, bcash, eth are altcoins, what it has? As trading object? As digital currency? At least it has value which people trade it in order to generate profit. No matter what, most people will stick to bitcoin. |

No one could predict what will happen for bitcoin in the future precisely. Normally, bitcoin's price will continue to increase over time, too many people involved in bitcoin world, even a big country such as Japan has been legalized bitcoin payment, Billions of dollars has been invested into bitcoin environment, whether to purchase it or any other services regarding bitcoin (hardware, exchanges, etc).
Take a look at bitcoin miners, mining pools, fintech, exchanges which supports bitcoin till the end, put their life savings in cryptocurrency, bitcoiners will not let bitcoin fail.

Well actually my friend is not the only one who doesn't receive his payment, as far as I know all of the participants on that campaign don't receive anything too on their wallet.
LoL, such problem more likely will not ever be solved as long as you didn't mention anything but "didn't receive payment". There are too many factors that may cause a half of participants didn't get paid, but the most important thing is; what kind of campaign? You should answer it before we discuss it any further. It's better if you mentioned at least 3-5 accounts which didn't get their payment. |

Going forward, my friend tells me he will buy more bitcoin, but be more careful next time. Right now, he will be on the sidelines because he has no more money to invest.

At least you have sufficient capital to start the project and you should mentioned about some general things about this project as well, not to disclose sensitive information.

Sounds fair enough but I have a question for you. How you think you will get 50 BTC front he blog. Are you going to make ads over the blog or are you going to get money from the traffic that is being generated. I mean 50 BTC is a lot money dude and with just blog no one can make that much money and it could take at least five years for sure. Maybe yes, but it will take a century to get it done. If people trust invisible money on internet and feel more comfortable to use it in daily basis instead of always carrying physical cash in every situation. It may different in first world countries and third world countries, but people will trust digital currency or digital form of money without see it leave their pockets. Centralized or decentralized system will be there to make sure digital currency distributed and being used safely.

What will happen before the end of year? Nobody knows for sure, but drop to $2000 before end of the year? Really doubt it.
Bitcoin may get corrected after reach ATH, but it may not fall below $4000 I guess, bitcoin price could be steady at $6000 until the end of the year, or at least over $5000.

don't bother with cloud mining ever. when you ask about cloud mining everyone's mind goes to scams and Ponzi schemes first. and that much is obvious but also the legit ones are useless too. they are not really a good investment for your money. you are putting your bitcoins at risk just to get a small return like drops from a faucet which take forever to reach ROI. Can anyone recommend a good site to start cloud mining sites for free?
there used to be some a couple of years back, and I even made money from them. you just signed up and they gave you GHS for free. but I have never seen any of them around for years. Indeed, you may find free cloud mining in few years ago when bitcoin price was cents or less than $10, even faucet site such as freebitco give BTC5 back in time. But, asking it these days? No one will give you free bitcoin. But, I wouldn't say "don't bother cloud mining ever", try to ask some people which have been in cloud mining for years, especially genesis mining and enjoying lifetime contract. |

Bitcoin new ATH was $5900, we may see it reach $6000 in this month, there are two hard fork ahead, BTG on October 25 and segwit2x on November 18. People will buy more bitcoin and expecting free air drop from those hard fork even though there's no clear statement about it yet. However, nothing for sure in bitcoin world if we're talking about the prices in the future, due to bitcoin price influenced by its development and acceptance across the world.
