4601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: General questions about swaping on: December 10, 2020, 03:51:34 AM
Hello, I’m new in cryptocurrency, I used to buy Bitcoin on popular exchanges, it was easy.. but I decided to invest in alt coins.

I purchased ETH on Coinbase, and transfered it to my Metamask account. From Metamask I swaped my ETH to POLS. - That’s the best way how I should get alt coins?

- Are Metamask, Bitswap, Uniswap for the same purpose?
- If I decide to get USD for my POLS then I have to do the same but in reverse order?
- I have an Etherscan link, do you know any ebook, or documentation what I can read to understand the whole process?

If you can provide any website, book to learn more about it let me know please.

Thank you for your answers! God bless!

My recommendation to you is to avoid swaps as the fee is comparatively higher than making a purchase using an exchange. I have used Metamask swap once it is very easy but the amount of Ethereum charged as fee for completing a swap is very high. The same is applicable for uniswap and let me remind you on uniswap anyone can list their token as listing is completely free therefore be very cautious while going through a swap, it is a possibility that you might be swapping a scam token for your stable coin or Ethereum.
4602  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trans woman joins women football league on: December 10, 2020, 03:35:52 AM
Physically a trans woman is a man untill they go through sex change surgery and after the surgery they are a woman with the same abilities of a woman except the ability of giving birth. They won't even have the power of a man as they also go through harmonal change. So I think it is fair for them to be accepted as a woman and they should be encouraged.

The footbal committee of Argentina would have done a proper physical checkup of this trans woman and then only they would have allowed her to join the league.
4603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain was not only meant for crypto on: December 09, 2020, 04:38:11 AM
Yes, any industry can utilise the power of open ledger but, what has been the success rate after implementation of the blockchain technology. As per my understanding it has been a success when used in cryptocurrency space, banking and finance. It has been also implemented in medical and transportation but the success rate have been not so good. Big companies like IBM, Oracle and Microsoft are now only testing it and in the future we should see some good innovation coming out from them.
4604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fashion Designer Turns To Blockchain for Supply Chain Visibility on: December 09, 2020, 04:15:31 AM
There have been projects focussing in supply chain in the past. Few projects did raise money by holding ICO or IEO but the success rate has been pretty bad. Blockchain technology does not serve purpose in all sectors. I have seen it creating huge changes only in the finance and banking sectors.

I do not know how much practical it will be for this company to use this technology for tracking products but I hope they become successful and create an example for others.
4605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 09, 2020, 04:08:15 AM
I am disappointed with the match today as India lost the match because of the bad fielding and the captaincy of Kohli. The delay in DRS decision in the 11th over cost the match as Kohli did not take the third umpire decision even though it was the wicket of Wade who was in tremendous touch and if he had gone for the review in time that was plumb in front of the wicket and the dropped catches which is continuing every match.

Recently, I am not getting very impressed with Kohli's captaincy. I think he should concentrate on the test matches and someone else (such as Rohit Sharma or Shikhar Dhawan) should captain the side in the shorter format. Kohli's decision making ability seems to be getting worse with every passing year. And his selection policy is also getting a lot of flak.
I was never happy with Kohli's captaincy. If you are a good batsmen does not mean you are a good captain. What I see is only aggression and immature decisions. I do not have any idea how shikhar dhawan will perform as a captain but I am sure Rohit Sharma will be the right person for T20 and ODIs.

Today's match was won by Iyer and pandya an absolute stellar performance by both of them. After virat kohli left I felt the match has now tilted towards the Australian side but these two changed the game and won the match and series for India.

Natrajan has proven consistently that he can perform in any wicket. Great bowling by him today also. This guy needs to be part of the A team.
4607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is better between keeping assets in exchange or personal wallet on: December 06, 2020, 04:45:44 AM
I assume by assets you mean long term hold and if that is the case then you should keep them in your personal wallet and avoid exchanges. Keep on exchanges the amount that you might be using for trading, savings, staking and for other activities. Rest should be in your personal wallet. Although I do not recommend keeping anything in exchange but big exchanges are now much secure and you can keep some assets there. But, still DYOR.
4608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 2 new Metamask phishing site thru Google Ads on: December 06, 2020, 04:00:43 AM
I can't believe in today's time people are still falling for Metamask scam. If I remember correctly, three years back there was an app on Google play store which was named Metamask and everyone at that time thought it was a legit app from Metamask untill it was discovered it wasn't. By that time a lot of people lost quite a good amount of their money.

People are still falling for such scams it seems it is veery easy to scam people who are new or have been in crypto sphere as these guys are still ignorant and won't listen to what others have to say.
4609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we trust Stablecoin ? on: December 06, 2020, 03:50:56 AM
Stable coins were introduced to reduce your losses when the market is going down. So, there is no issue in trusting them as long as you are using them for protecting your investment. Investing in stable coin to earn interest in my opinion is not a viable option for the long term. As you are basically replicating a banking system. Therefore use stable coin only for trading purpose and not for long term investment.
4610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 06, 2020, 03:35:38 AM
I think after what happened in the first T20 match that Australia will come out firing. Australia will need to improve on the batting middle order and get some partnerships together as this is what let them down in the first match after getting off to a great start. It was India's bowlers got the job done at vital stages of the game even though there was that substitute that basically changed the game but we move on now and I think Australia will bounce back.
Jadeja will not be playing today's match. I am sure India will be missing him greatly as his contribution in the last match was the reason why India was able to put a score of 161. Chahal is playing today's match. Google's probability score states both team have 50/50 chance of winning this match. This mean today's match is must watch one and would be very close.
4611  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin transaction stuck for days, Child pay for Parent method will work? on: December 05, 2020, 05:39:55 AM
Saw your post just now and found that the payment has got confirmed. The primary reason for Bitcoin transactions to remain unconfirmed is always the fee. So always choose the right fee which is recommended by your wallet and you will never face such an issue. I found an interesting article a few days back where there is a lot of valuable information relate to Bitcoin unconfirmed transactions you can read it.
4612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone heard of lemmecoin? on: December 05, 2020, 05:21:51 AM
Thanks all for the reply.  So for some more detail;

The sent a message in Discord saying I had won .67 bitcoin.  I registered at the site with a burner email/name etc and entered the code.  Sure enough the bitcoin appeared in the "wallet" on the site.  Of course I went to immediately withdraw the bitcoin to another wallet that I trust.  An error came up saying that due to some EU law they had to require me to deposit .03 bitcoin in order to access the coin.  Obviously this is a red flag.   Most of what I've initially described is a red flag in my opinion.  Thing is, if it is a scam, it's well done.  The site is well made, they have what looks like a chat and active community, but are lacking in other information like contact etc.  I did try to contact them but haven't received a response.  The fact that I can find so little information on something that claims to have been around for a bit is also odd.

Free stuff is always a scam in the crypto sphere. Always avoid these kinds of offers as they are created to lure retail investors like you to indulge your investments. These offers are on the rise as Bitcoin pumps and I am sure there will be a lot of shitcoins that will launch as soon as Bitcoin reaches a new ATH.
4613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 05, 2020, 04:36:07 AM
WTF is going on with the New Zealand vs West Indies match? West Indies got bowled out for just 138 in their first innings, and in the second they are struggling at 30/4. This is the same surface where New Zealand made a score of 500 plus just a day before. I don't know what is wrong with the West Indies team. They have such talented players, and despite that every time they underperform like this.
The West Indies have a lot of talented players, But most of the players are like T20 specialists. They can not perform well as expected in Tests or ODIs. I think West Indies team management should select separate players for the Test squad. Then maybe we don't have to see such bad performances.

In fact, most teams have a lot of T20 players than Test players as most of the time they are either playing T20 or one-day series. Due to the less frequency of test series or matches, most teams are struggling whenever they are playing test series. Test match requires a lot of patience and concentration, players now days lack both. They have a habit of being more aggressive and in a test match you do not need to be always aggressive and attacking.
4614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 05, 2020, 04:28:25 AM
Indian team is struggling atm and in last 5 overs Aussie took 3 wickets and gave only 25 runs, run rate is under 7.

LOL! Australia destroyed in the first T20. They could not even chase a small score, Indians dominated the second half of the match. Australia won the toss and thought they would easily destroy Indian bowling, they tried their level. Actually, they still struggle to play spinners in their own field and that is why Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets just for 25 and was declared the man of the match. Now, after this match, you will see spinners being introduced in the early stages of the match.
4615  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Beware Instagrammers on: December 04, 2020, 05:39:46 AM
Except for a few Twitter influencers and some Reddit groups, I am not on any other social media platform. Almost all Social media platforms are filled with scammers and especially Telegram. My personal suggestion is to stay away from them and come to BTT always for any queries or suggestions. This is the best place to discuss and understand Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Let's hope their upcoming meeting goes well without any state boards politics. I have always believed that IPL could became a 12+ teams tournament and if this "2 new teams" idea get passed then we are heading toward right direction overall.

Adding to vishnu's argument. Triangular and Quadrilateral series are the future along with franchise.

I believe that in the IPL, there is a clause which require BCCI to get the approval of all the existing franchises, if they want to add additional teams. And most of  the franchises have already voiced their opposition against any proposed expansion. It is not going to be easy for Jay Shah and Sourav Ganguly to convince the franchise owners. BTW, I am skeptical of your proposal of 12+ teams. In England they do have 18 teams and they are managing it quite well (with generous help from the Kolpak players), but I don't know if the quality can be maintained in India, if the number of teams are increased to 12+.

What do you mean by quality? is it quality of the game or quality of the players or the quality of the franchise. Please do elaborate.

The decision to have extra teams in IPL is still in discussion, so it is still in work in progress. If you know Sourav Ganguly then you should know that he has the ability to convince the franchise.

JSRAW likes to tease Rohit as the Vada Pav man which is why he isn't seriously criticizing Rohit or anything. However, it would be beneficial for Rohit to drop a few pounds since other popular players in the team like Kohli, Pandya etc are way thinner in comparison.

As long as Rohit is performing, no one is going to complain about his weight gain. BTW, you can't compare Virat with other players because he is such a fitness freak. And Hardik is much younger than Rohit and he doesn't have to worry much about gaining weight (also being a pace bowler helps). BTW, rather than blaming the players, the finger should be pointed at the BCCI. Before the IPL, they failed to organize any cricket tournament (domestic/international) for more than 6 months. The players became rusty, and it was not surprising.

As long as Rohit is performing, no one is criticizing him. There is nothing wrong in giving him the name of pada pav as he looks like one frankly  Grin.

There is also no need to blame BCCI because BCCI was not responsible for the pandemic situation in India. The players are still fit and some of them are in form, which is good for the upcoming T20.

Every player is responsible for his own fitness if they want to be part of the national team. No one is forcing them to be a fitness freak it is their own choice. Being a fitness freak and not able to perform can still make you sit on the bench or out of the team.

India won the match by 13 runs. The credit should go to Pandya and Jadeja. They scored a lot of runs during the final overs, to get India to 300 plus. When the 5th wicket fell, no one would have imagined that India would end up with a total of more than 250-260. Also, credit goes to Natarajan, for picking up two important wickets in his debut for the national team.
India could not have collected so much without the contribution of Pandya and Jadeja. After 30 overs, India lost 5 wickets, then the team went under pressure. They collected 302 runs in Jadeja and Pandya's formidable batting. The bowlers also did very well. India could not have won without their good performance.
There are two theories surrounding this match.

Theory-1:
The bowlers bowl performed in the same manner as they did in the previous two matches. Well, it is just that the Australian batsmen did not bat to their full potential bacause they knew that the series have been won.

Theory-2:
India should have batted first in the previous matches then, they would have won both of them and would have eventually won the series. Unfortunately our captain Kohli was not in a mood of winning the toss.

I do believe in the first theory as I think the bowlers did not perform as anticipated, our expectation from bhumra and shami were too high if we consider their past performance.

Thanks, @pawanjain for clearing the air. I was also very skeptical about the ATH in INR and that is why I had written in my post.

I am not sure if I am correct here but the seniors can always pitch in and rectify my error if any.
So the new ATH is 15,15,314 INR which was on WazirX. Which I am sure will be broken this month the way Bitcoin has been rallying.

Carnage from Pandya and Jaddu.. almost 100 runs in the last 7 overs. I felt like i was watching another IPL game, doesn't matter they win or lose from here but last 7 overs were totally worth it.

Pandya has been consistently performing after the IPL. I guess his primary focus is more on batting. Last match also he played a wonderful knock. The target can be achieved easily by Australia, it all now depends on the Indian bowlers if they can get some more important wickets then the game might swing in favour of India.
