Since I can't still find a signature campaign that I am interested to join now, I will continue to wear the signature code and hopefully we will resume soon.
I would advise against it. Since you are not going to join another campaign now why don't you promote a noble cause like Project Covid-19 or something else? I would also like to quote a post made by Hhampuz in Blender Signature Campaign

I would advise you to remove the Signature as we should not be in the business of free advertising no matter the relationships to managers/services. It's appreciated as a gesture but if everyone removed it once the campaign ends that would make it more compelling for blender.io to make the campaign return (as compared to if people keep the signatures).

488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 05, 2020, 04:11:34 PM
Its interesting experiment and surely very innovative idea. All credit goes to ECB...

Rules:
- 20 balls each bowler
- Bowlers can opt for 5 or 10 consecutive deliveries instead of 6.
- 25 balls of power play with 2 fielder outside of 30 yard circle.

** If this format able to attracts some eyes balls then i would like to see something from the BCCI too, may be some IPL version.

Well the rules seems quite interesting. But imo there is no point in just reducing 20 balls from a T20 game and having some completely different rules like having 5 or 10 consecutive deliveries bowled by a bowler. What are they going to gain by reducing 15+15 mins from the T20 format? I don't see any proper justification in having such a new format.

We have another phishing site which popped up in Gambling section here (Archive)

Website:
Code:
https://bitnexor.com
Website Archive: https://archive.is/1LS2K

I think the user iloveyoukandy should be tagged for promoting scam websites
490  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnexor your way to hold and gamble with crypto! on: May 05, 2020, 01:04:16 PM
Care to explain why you guys have the similar logo as Cex.io?
Archive

I believe that Bitnexor is just another phishing/scam website trying to impersonate cex.io and steal user funds. Cex.io even have a scam warning regarding imposters and fraudsters on their homepage.

Edit: Wordings in the home page look similar to https://beldexcurrency.com/. This is definitely is a scam and should be tagged.

492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple prices tank because Ripple Co founder is continuously selling them on: May 05, 2020, 10:50:51 AM
He sold 54million ripple and still I can't even noticed any huge dump in ripple price, hell yeah ripple is not a bad coin after all, it's a good coin worth holding for long term.

Ripple as a company is doing good by selling XRP tokens to financial institutions and partnership acquisition. They actually don't care about the XRP holders and constantly release XRP into the market. It seems that over 63% of the XRP Telegram community members have left and some unhappy holders seem to have threatened to fork XRPas per decrypt. So XRP is definitely not a good asset to hold long term.

I ask you now when ripple was doing an agreement to sell XRP coin to the financial institution? AFAIK what has already sold by ripple was the xrapid or in this case related to the ripple technology (e.g. ripple blockchain)
The financial institution will never buy such security coin like XRP coin. Where are you getting that news or rumour?
It's just old news. Brad Garlinghouse himself has admitted that they sell XRP to financial institutions at a discounted price back in 2019. You check the news here: https://cryptonews.com/news/ripple-is-selling-xrp-at-a-discount-to-some-institutional-bu-4645.htm
As you can see Ripple as a company is profiting and it's shareholders are profiting, the ones those who are left out are the XRP holders.

495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rebalancing a portfolio on: May 04, 2020, 05:12:21 PM
I guess my question is for general trading/investing. Do you store all your assets on the exchanges in order to trade them? And if you just use a part of the assets, does it yield a lower profit?
No, I hold a major portion of my Bitcoins in Hardware Wallets. I keep only 10-20% of my portfolio to trade altcoins. And as you learnt, it's always safe to hold your crypto in a cold wallet

Now, I've been looking at rebalancing as an low-risk investment strategy. I've also found tools that can automate such a strategy. From what I've gathered, these tools require that the coins be up on an exchange that has support for plugging in via API calls so it can do those automated tasks.

In the rebalance scenario, because cryptocurrencies are so volatile, a daily rebalance is warranted. So I guess that holding assets on an exchange is practical and cheaper, even if less secure?

Would storing a part of the profits on the cold wallet be the best way to go?

If you are not a believer of Crypto but just jumping into the crypto market to make some quick profits by trading, I would say don't. It is better to stay in Forex and Stocks if you are looking for low-risk investment, Crypto trading is risky and highly volatile. Alternatively, if you are a believer, hold a major portion of your Portfolio in cold wallet and trade with a smaller portion. Holding assets on an exchange might save you some transaction costs but it has some risks associated with it like hacks, scams etc.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker bank roll challenge... on: May 04, 2020, 04:08:55 PM
I am thinking of converting 2000 INR to  100000 INR over the period of 15 days.
Well, tbh even with 5 years experience this surely seems to be an implausible challenge. Anyways good luck on your endeavour.

In case you missed it, do check Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker). Its hosted on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 PM IST and the Buy-in is only 0.0012BTC for every match. It's a bit late in the day but if you are experienced and good at playing Poker, you should definitely give it a shot.

You definitely need to change the captcha you are using for sign-up/sign-in page

wtf is this? rBxTy4?
If the users are not able to signup because of this captcha, how will they be able to create a money pool?
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best platform to practice poker on: May 03, 2020, 04:55:20 AM
@RapTarX Poker is not a simple card game as many think it to be. Video tutorials can give you some good idea on how to play but practising with free platforms gives you literally nothing. As figmentofmyass has mentioned nobody plays real poker in free platforms, most of them play like lunatics as they have nothing to lose. If you want to improve your game, you'll have to play with real money. Only when real money is involved players naturally tend to play the game seriously and cautiously. So it's better to join micro stake tables and develop your game.

I just want to add one more thing, in poker, you don't have to play every hand. You can always fold your cards and watch others and read how they bet. But that doesn't mean that you should always fold and keep watching ;p

Following is the order of the best cards:
  • 1. Royal Flush
  • 2. Straight Flush
  • 3. Four of a Kind
  • 4. Full House
  • 5. Flush
  • 6. Straight
  • 7. Three of a Kind
  • 8. Two Pair
  • 9. One Pair
  • 10. High Card

I am also new in playing poker. Can I ask if it is required to follow the respective order of the cards as shown in the picture above?
Yes, this is the order of the best cards by which a winner is selected. For example, if you have three of a kind and your opponent has straight or anything higher the order, he'll be declared the winner. But if he has two pair or anything lower, you'll be declared as winner.
