481  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What would happen if suddenly a revolutionary mining technology was found? on: October 02, 2015, 10:57:58 PM
but Isn't it possible that some new miner comes up raising the mining speed a lot?

No idea about it, just asking  Roll Eyes

Sure, computing power has been growing and growing since the 1970s or earlier. It's very likely that processing power could increase such that the rate of mining packages could increase. In fact, if the cost (of money or time) of mining doesn't increase these coins will never be mined fully. There's no way that miners will be able to be profitable to mine as the packages are halved and then halved and so on. Soon it'll simply not be worth it to dig up more coins - much like it's not worth mining for gold in many areas of the world.
482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis claims responsibility for death of Italian man in Bangladesh on: October 02, 2015, 10:52:09 PM
It could just be somebody posing as Isis making that claim. These news articles are just going too ISIS crazy

ISIS has gained a cult-like following in many of the Southern and South-eastern Asian countries, with their beheading videos and stories about sex-slavery. There are large number of men (and women) in countries such as Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Myanmar, who would join the Islamic State if they get a chance to do so.

What keeps them from joining? All they have to do is terrorize in the name of?

ISIS is a bunch of p*ssies, I'd love to see them have the balls to attack a city or state that can defend itself and see what happens. Not that I would EVER want any city or people to be attacked, I wouldn't. I just hope these idiots who disgrace Islam realize how much the world is accommodating their existence for the sake of not wanting to offend the Islam religion because any attack against the could be seen by some as an attack against Islam.
483  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I am such a fan of Potus... on: October 02, 2015, 10:37:44 PM
please don't tell anyone Smiley.

Prince of Tea of the United States?

or POTUS the man? or POTUS the satellite radio station? No need to keep such a secret...if you're a fan, you should cheer.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT an MLM kind of ponzi on: October 02, 2015, 10:26:48 PM
Some people claim bitcoin will give good returns to only for early adopters not to the later entries

Who says this?

Nothing I've read says that late adopters of bitcoin are expected to be left "holding the back" as they say about ponzi schemes. Don't believe everything you hear, a lot of it is bull shit OR share your source...

Its like saying Microsoft and Apple is a ponzi because you didn't buy their share when it was worthless before they became mega corps. Its pure nonsense. Smiley
Its just the nature of investing in stock and other things that share some similarities. Like Cryptocurrencies.

Oh, is that what the OP is referring to? Funny, just naive about investing it seems. Well, like stocks things can go up and down...it's not about early adopters or late adopters, it's about supply and demand!

486  Economy / Services / Re: Best Poker and Bingo - Playtodos.com Signature Campaign on: October 02, 2015, 06:27:41 PM
Carra, is this campaign closing?

People on the Overview of Signature Campaigns thread mentioned that that this campaign is closing however I don't see notice here - apologies if I've missed it!

it's been a great campaign, I hope it doesn't disappear!
487  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is it possible to squander $18 millions ? on: September 29, 2015, 07:40:46 AM
Squander might not be the right word, but it's not hard to burn through $18 million while trying to run a business.

Also, sounds like they sold off after the drop - although their claim that they lost value due to the drop could just be a convenient excuse to explain some frivolous spending. I'd love to think that that was the reason for the drop, but it's probably not the only reason.
488  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rigs rental is that profitable? on: September 29, 2015, 07:33:27 AM
Short answer: No.

Long answer: NOOOOOOOO.

LOL!
Funny, but not true.

They can mine an alt-coin and make some profit, but they would need to have knowledge on the subject.

And they'd need to have tens of thousands of Dollars to get started - with the processing power needed so high to earn so little, the only way to make profit is by scaling up the operation. China style scale....a warehouse of miners, humming, processing, doing math...gives me chills.

The time to income ROI is greater with a signature campaign, seriously.
489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest way to store Bitcoins? on: September 29, 2015, 07:28:22 AM
Other than physical wallets

Coinbase, Circle, Xapo...seriously. I know others will say "you don't own your coins with those joints" but it's too easy to lose your coins or get hacked with an online wallet.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Price of bitcoin in bolivars on: September 29, 2015, 07:26:07 AM
Yes, if you want your spot price marked in Bolivars (which you do, obviously). The conversion is simple -> BTC : Dollars : Bolivars
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI Agent Threatens to Kill Silk Road Architect, Ulbricht’s Family for Bitcoin ! on: September 29, 2015, 07:23:34 AM
If they touched his family this guy would be easily destroyed...his life would vanish. I don't think Ulbrecht has much to worry about.
492  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rigs rental is that profitable? on: September 29, 2015, 07:06:18 AM
Well i were surfing around the web and those site took my attention ,i see an average of 900 satoshis for 1ghs,is that profitable did anyone of you tryed it?is it safe? Looks like there is some users renting them, soo i suppose they get some income from them, and well looks to be safe ,meaning that with the rented rig it can achieve ROI.

Is the 900 satoshi per ghs your income or your cost? If it's your cost, figure out how much you can earn over that. If it's your income, figure out how long it takes to process 1 ghs and then you can find out how long it'll take to earn a return over your investment.

By the way, did it occur to you to ask this question in the Mining board, where experts on this stuff tend to hang out?

493  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Psychopaths of the elite & government regard you as objects free to torture on: September 29, 2015, 06:54:19 AM
Use crypto and u slowly kill them

How?

Slowly is the key word here though. You don't want them offended quickly, otherwise they'll use power to put out the good things that bitcoin could potentially provide.
494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: House Speaker, John Boehner, Will Resign From Congress on: September 29, 2015, 06:51:48 AM
And, nothing will change as the next establishment pick won't stand up to Obama on anything.

Agreed that nothing will change. I don't agree that it's because the Republican's won't stand up to Obama. The Republicans need to stand up in a way that isn't ridiculous or postures Republicans as out of touch.

It would be great if Republicans could stop the approval of the debt ceiling, but not at the expense of not passing a budget so the threat of a government shut down looms with Republicans as the reason, the people to blame. Republicans could become the new popular party (yes new, because the party has changed a lot) by focusing solely on fiscal responsibility. Drop the fringe religious votes, drop the conservative social ideals. Reps don't need to deny the religious right or accept social freedoms, just don't have an opinion for a while. Focus ONLY on fixing the fiscal shit that is so out of control.

The next President that has the courage to NOT introduce new legislation that costs money and instead put the US on a spending diet will be the next truly great President (soaring above Reagan stature.)
495  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Psychopaths of the elite & government regard you as objects free to torture on: September 29, 2015, 05:51:23 AM
What's MKultra?

So you accuse the elite as being psychopaths and then propose killing them "all...in government, corporations, and law enforcement"?

You need to work on your pitch. Calling other people psychopaths and then proposing we kill them is...well...kind of psychopathic.

I'm not arguing that there isn't corruption at the top, only that you'd win more fans if you provided some facts in a logical, sensible way. Do you really plan on killing this people? If so, how?
496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i'm a newbie in bitcoin please explain to me what is mining?? on: September 29, 2015, 05:41:03 AM

497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Post the BIGGEST SCAM in bitcoin history according to you on: September 28, 2015, 03:27:52 AM
Biggest in what sense?

Biggest value of Bitcoin or fiat taken? Biggest notoriety? Biggest number of victims?

A lot of thoughts come to mind - first, Mt. Gox. It has to be number one. And if you don't think it's was a scam then why isn't Karpeles doing more to prove his innocence?

The collective ponzis on this forum are pretty big (collectively)...offering ridiculous amounts of interest, DAILY, numbers that are literally impossible to provide unless the owner is just giving money away. They stick around for a while, some people make some money, the owner cuts the cord and the remaining people involved get fucked.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's KILLER app on: September 28, 2015, 03:24:34 AM
i didn't understand you
what do you mean by "Killer" app?

I think he means that by "killer" he means revolutionary or beneficial to the bitcoin community in general.  Kind of like how "sick" means "cool"... again I'm just assuming here.

Phishead, the best app I can think of is a Pscyho Killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?

Whatever it is the road will be it's end, it's end is the road...so they say.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's KILLER app on: September 28, 2015, 02:35:40 AM
How about an app where I can buy almost anything (let's call it Amazon.com) and it allows for payment via bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a currency, it doesn't need an app.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TO all miners and bitcoin holders would you? on: September 26, 2015, 07:01:42 AM
So you're asking if there wasn't the knowledge of the growth form $1 to $1000, would there be as much hype to get hands (to mine) bitcoin?

Probably not, but there was that growth. And adoption did occur. And momentum exists such that many people believe there's more to come...
