After the previous (14 days ago) 14% rise in difficulty we have 2.77% now. Are we going to a halt in asic sales? Anyway, the miner break-even point is close, and this is typically considered as the (in our case tripple) bottom of the price  Cool

Most miners are bought at wholesale prices, so we're not there yet Wink

Speaking of Bitcoin, who the hell voted for another leg down in the poll. I didn't approve of this.
Bob? Angry

Nope. Voted for $8-$8.5k.

Gotta remain optimistic that this bear run will break "hopefully soon-ish".

I was surprised too... i mean how the hell bitcoin can go <$4,000
I mean how?.... ok why?

Ah one of those mid 2014 , Bitcoin can never go below $400 arguments.
Bitcoin will go as low as it takes to flush any weak, middle and semi-strong hands. This forum isn't even close to the "OMG Bitcoin is dead and I've lost my house" tears of December 14, Jan 15.   Once every post in here is bearish and the bulls are laughed at, then and only then can the next rally begin.

Exactly!. The rally can only begin if the term "bulltard" is consistently used for a prologend period of time. Period!

Why? Why not?

Best case would be that we get some sideways action. There's no reason to go up. Yet.

I wonder When will LCC be listed on bigger exchanges? Any chance anytime soon on brittrex?

never ever gonna happen, no chance

...said the doubters of something new like bitcoin back in the day. So you are saying you want the status quo of the system to prevail? or am I reading that wrong? Is your opinion centralised to yourself or outwardly obfuscated to the detriment of the broader crypto community?

LCC never had a chance. It can be 51% attacked any time by a SHA256 miner just for the LULz.

Any security measures the devs might put in place will just make it useless as a transactional currency (even more so than today) and it was never on it's way to be a good store of value.

Only coins.

Why do all experts, whales and dickheads insist that capitulation has not occurred and cry, beg, scream, insist for lower prices?

I saw capitulation on Feb 5th!

Every fucking whale is trying to prove me wrong!  Unfortunately the analyst continue to believe that capitulation on Feb 5th was too early.
Only time will tell!

There's no reason why we can't have another one.

Just look at the previous bubble. Capitulation occurred in Feb 2014 (~$400), but then we had a second one in Jan 2015 (~$150)...
509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 13, 2018, 09:24:20 AM
i just wanted someone to post nice three bottoms pictures but i agree with your prediction. After 2013 correction, there was a last run up before the great depression Smiley

3k can take months/years to come

That was driven by the catastrophic Gox debacle. I don’t think (I hope not) it will play out that bad again.

the mt. gox trustee has 1.4 billion $$ of BTC to move ..probably by the end of the year...(assuming the trustees get paid a % for their efforts)

thus it is gonna be more than 'weird' in the next year IMHO

A 'perfect storm of FUD'

so yeah, the price could easily go to 3k or below and stay there for more than a year if/when adoption catches up and mt. gox liquidation happens

sucks

Sucks we still have to deal with Gox after 4+ years, yup.

Plus there's the whole Finex + Tether bubble that may blow up in our face.

No shortage of FUD...
510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 13, 2018, 08:36:48 AM
triple bottom zone, please post accordingly

So, we have a short rally to 10k, followed by a year(s) long bear market with prices in the 3k range?

Is this what you meant?

same or next day ? sure... my earlier experiences aren't that good

deposit, min 5 days ( + weekends obviously )
withdrawal usually ~5 days after withdrawal is completed from Kraken

second day withdrawal status still "Sending", first withdrawal from this T4 account so i have no idea if contact from Kraken is needed to complete it.

I'm talking about SEPA € withdrawals/deposits. This is the only thing that I have no complaints about at Kraken. It's your bank that creates the delay.
513  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: June 07, 2018, 07:42:47 AM
How long it usually takes to process € withdrawal to bank account? My withdrawal has been "on hold" (verified tier4 account) and when i contacted your chat-help
they said withdrawal/fund team will contact me through e-mail. As you guessed already: no contact from them and withdrawal still on hold.

What is that, you can't automatically process withdrawals ?

Will this delay be added to "five banking days" ?

 Roll Eyes

edit: status is now "Sending" so i guess it went through...

I usually get € to my bank account on the same or next business day.

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: June 06, 2018, 07:39:15 AM
What if the top 25 delegates only forge 1 ark pero block and the last 25 delegates forge 3 ark pero block, then what will happen??? Seems interesting to think about it

I believe we already told you this is nonsense. I prefer not to babysit my vote twice a day...
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 06, 2018, 07:28:11 AM
For Litecoin's future, I think Charlie Lee's decision to leave Litecoin is more decentralized than a major challenge for the development Litecoin is facing. But it is absolutely necessary to compete with Bitcoin

OP (Charlie Lee) announced his dump of his LTC developers fund ~ can you say golden parachute? :\ hmmm

AFTER MORE THAN FOUR YEARS ===>

517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Blockchain With Tokens or Not on: June 05, 2018, 11:56:22 AM
Blockchain is ten times as valuable as the Internet.

Now that I disagree with and have no idea where that figure came from. I would be surprised if the blockchain becomes just as valuable as the internet, let alone 10x worth. Isn't the killer app for blockchain cryptocurrencies? As far as my understanding goes, blockchains without cryptocurrency are just slow inefficient databases. In order for a blockchain to be maintained, there needs to be a valuable token to incentivize the maintaining of the ledger and upholding network security.

Exactly. Blockchain is a small piece of the puzzle that makes Bitcoin valuable.

Ten times as valuable as the internet? It's like saying the internet is ten times as valuable as electricity. Pure nonsense.

Hi- I was told that here is about a 10% reward in staking ark. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

It's not as simple but, long answer short yet that's true.
How this actually works...
(1) You vote for a delegate, your ARK amount is the weight of your vote.
(2) The delegate you voted is "mining" (called forging) blocks and they share their rewards with their voters, based on the weight of their vote
(3) The returns are not fixed, but they're close to 10% for at least the last 6 months.

You can visit this site and check the returns you get from each delegate: http://calculator.reconnico.com/

Thank you.

I set up my wallet, sent ark  thens voted for a delegate with 1 ark -

is this all I need to do?

Thanks

Yes.

...

(I converted $ to € for you but not sure what 2-3 weeks is in European equivalent. Do you guys use metric or Unix time?)

2-3 weeks constitutes about half of our paid vacation. So that would be a couple of days in the US. Wink

Any news on the LTC debit card? Will it ever happen?

I know of at least one: https://wirexapp.com/litecoin-comes-wirex

It happened just over a month ago.

Not sure if it's in any way relevant to the future of Litecoin. It's just another way to sell Litecoins and spend the money. Smiley
