501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Creating more bitcoin on: July 15, 2019, 05:47:25 AM
Unlimited number of bitcoin is bad, it won't make bitcoin a good investment.

bitcoin is not an investment so your argument here is completely wrong since the creation of bitcoin and the decision about its supply had nothing to do with making in a good or bad investment. the only reason for that cap and the value chosen (21 million) is to prevent bitcoin from becoming an inflationary currency like other currencies in existence.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Government vs. Facebook Libra on: July 13, 2019, 08:19:04 AM
What do you think guys? Does Facebook proposed cryptocurrency really threatens the Government's monopoly on the money supply?

no it doesn't. bitcoin is threatening their monopoly, what Facebook coin can do is to threaten banks monopoly in processing money transfer and do that without a license. and that is the big scare they have, they want to have the power of controlling all the USD money transfers and take the taxes, fees and not to mention all the information they gather about who has what amount of money and where they spend it.
503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any chance of getting 1 Btc of less than 1000$ again? on: July 13, 2019, 07:40:45 AM
instead of wishful thinking and wasting your time one unrealistic scenarios which only result in you missing opportunities, it is best that you focus on the reality and start living in the real world. start learning how to analyze the market, see the potential and then decide whether you want to invest in bitcoin or not. and when you do, start buying at the current rate before it is too late. certain prices are never going to be repeated such as $3k, $4k,... that i was telling everyone to buy at but they were refusing to listen and preferred waiting for more drops!
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TAUCOIN Tech Related Discussion - Q&A on: July 13, 2019, 06:53:53 AM
Is that even possible?

of course it is possible! your "smart phone" like a computer has a CPU that is capable of performing the same functions that are required for cryptographic hash functions and that is what you do in mining, you perform a hash function repeatedly to find a correct result.

the real question is whether it is wise to mine with a phone?
and the answer is obviously no! because smart phones aren't designed to be under heavy pressure like this and do tedious tasks for long periods of time. the overheating and the way you would lower the lifespan of your device is not worth the reward.

ps. although it seems like this coin is not exactly mining, what it does is more like "staking" while they call it mining!!!
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why president Donald trump is not a fan of bitcoin? on: July 13, 2019, 06:43:23 AM
... the only way to control bitcoin is thru 51% attack, which is very difficult to achieve even for potus. May be more regulation to centralized exchanges?

I agree and I suspect the regulatory efforts will be initially directed towards exchanges. They will attack the fiat to btc bridges and essentially cutoff law abiding citizens from practical access. Or they will try to anyway.

I don’t mind what they want to do with Libra, as long as they don’t plan anything on bitcoin itself, and I’m seriously surprise how Trump who is not a tech savvy, would got to know bitcoin, I think someone told him about bitcoin, I don’t believe Trump is skillful enough to navigate smartphone, and he could only stick with twitter because it is chartered to the complete novice like him, I’m eager to know how much he got to know about bitcoin, may be what he had merely know its name, not clue about the tech or the founder itself, and the Libra too, he probably have very limited understanding.

don't worry, this whole drama is all about Libra.
they don't want to let Facebook become a bank that easily. they will either prevent Libra from even seeing the light of day and be created or they will ask to have a hand in it and have access to all the transaction records. and since it is centralized, closed sourced and private blockchain, it can easily be achieved.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real Satoshi? on: July 13, 2019, 06:33:08 AM
it is absurd what passes for "evidence" these days:

1. this dude used a name that starts with letter "s" and ends with "shi" so they decided since the name "satoshi' also starts with "s" and ends with "shi" they must be similar Cheesy
2. "writing style", and we are supposed to take their word for it not to mention that it is not really an "evidence"!!!
3. the fact that he has created some cryptography related stuff!
4. he was programming in c++, yeah sure, so is millions of others Cheesy
5. some comment on the internet that is not even made by this due but this article assumes it is and it is talking about "peer to peer banking", apart from the fact that the comment is not even from him, many others have mentioned similar things! not to mention there has been other cryptocurrencies before bitcoin in much smaller scale and with less features and not as secure!
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash? on: July 11, 2019, 05:59:55 AM
in the short term for the upcoming couple of months, the answer is yes i think litecoin can have a significant pump which will pump its price and consequently its market capitalization so it will bring it s market cap rank up above other shitcoins that are above it right now. main reason for this pump is going to be its halving and the hype that always follows that.

in longer term, i don't think so. because it would be competing with heavily centralized coins above there (BCH, ETH, XRP) and it is very hard for coins like that to compete with the power of centralization and the money they have to pump their shitcoins.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideal Time to Accumulate more Alts? on: July 11, 2019, 05:45:14 AM
the only time to start accumulating altcoins is when they are starting to show signs of a pump. which consists of an increase in their market activity including volume and price, and also increase in the pumpers activity all over the market. with some analysis of that altcoin and looking at its history and whether it is even ready for pump or is it  a dead cat bounce you can simply decide if it is a good time to get in that coin or not. just make sure to have a good exit plan after you entered or you will end up losing money to the dumps.
509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price falls why?? on: July 11, 2019, 05:33:56 AM
because the market is trying to break another strong resistance that is currently located at $13200 and each time it builds up momentum, rises to that level tries to break it and when it doesn't happen the  drop comes.
price is no "falling" exactly, it is fluctuating up and down inside a tight channel between $10k and $13k each time this channel gets tighter too as previous time we went as low as $9800 and this time only as low as $11,100
510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 65%, alts lagging behind on: July 11, 2019, 05:09:07 AM
I sold all my HST decision token this morning as bitcoin dominance has crushed the altcoin market.  I couldn't handle the pain any longer.  Now where should I park my cash?

as i told you in your topic, your token didn't crash because of bitcoin or its dominance. it crashed because it was useless and you only had bought it because some pumper hyped it up for you and fooled you into giving him your money.

park your cash? nowhere. keep your cash because in order to make an investment you have to be a lot wiser than this and be familiar with the market you enter not just blindly jump in hoping you make profit.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ltc pump before halving? on: July 10, 2019, 06:36:40 AM
i have been expecting a litecoin pump for a while now and i have also accumulated a little amount of it. so yeah i do think it will pump before halving. although looking at the market it doesn't seem to be starting which is also making me a little worried, i still am in only because i think part of the reason for lack of pump is because bitcoin is going up and that has always meant altcoins getting dumped and that sell pressure can be the reason for postponing the pump for now.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this good for bounty checks? on: July 10, 2019, 06:28:11 AM
why would you want to waste your time advertising something that is going to fail whether it is a scam from day one or not? checking all these things will only give you a false sense of confidence and will mislead you into thinking it may not be a bad idea to go in deeper in that token.
the reality is that because of lack of usability in each of these projects that raise millions of dollars, they are all destined to drop hard and die.
as a result spending your time and money on anything else can be a lot more productive for you.
513  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: need help for wallet access on: July 10, 2019, 06:15:59 AM
Im accidentally used electrum segwit Pub. address (zpu) to receive incoming payment.

that is not a possible thing to do anywhere. in other words if you put your zpub... in the "pay to" section of any bitcoin wallet out there, they will reject it as it is an invalid address (they will be looking for something that starts with 1, 3 or bc1 and when they see the zpub in the beginning, they reject it).
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Yusko: Bitcoin can go up to $ 30,000 without correction on: July 10, 2019, 06:11:17 AM
that is pure nonsense because what you are describing only works in a pump and dump altcoin where the pumpers artificially increase the price in one go by injecting money usually from their sheep into that shitcoin and "pump" the price that high (in this case it would be 170%) and then immediately follow that up with the dump.

that is not how bitcoin works. the only way we can see $30k or 170% increase is with a solid investment just like how it has been happening all these years and that means smaller rises followed by even smaller corrections and incrementally rising until we reach that high.

not to mention that on the road to $30k even if we ignore everything else we still have the previous ATH ($20k) which will act as a big barrier where people sell and sells cause correction.

ps. don't confuse a 10% drop aka the correction with a gigantic drop of 50% to 85% which is crash and bubble burst. they are very different. and in this case even if you are misusing the word, the "bubble burst" is not going to happen on $30k, it will happen at least somewhere around $100k
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV, how does it work? on: July 09, 2019, 02:49:28 PM
a bunch of scammers including Craig Wright and Roger Ver created a copy of bitcoin called bitcoin cash back in 2017 to make money by scamming people, manipulating the difficulty, and a ton of other things. as they earned money for a while and things started to slow down, one of the scammers called Craig Wright decided what he had scammed was not enough so he with help of some others created another copy of this copy and called it BSV and started scamming more people through that.

the new coins are being created just like bitcoin (since they are copies of it) through mining and each block gives a 12.5 block reward. however since they are copies if you had coins before each of them forked in their blockchain you own the same coins on their chain too.
so if you had bitcoin in 2017 before they copied bitcoin aka forked, you have both BCH and BSV right now. but if you had BCH before BSV forked, you now have BCH and BSV as an airdrop free coin to dump.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't hesitate on: July 09, 2019, 01:57:01 PM
the only hesitation that you should always avoid in the altcoin market at all costs is hesitating to dump them when they are already pumped and ere getting ready to go down from their bubble burst. even if you hesitated a little bit you should still start dumping them as soon as the drop began.

other than that, buying tokens just because of their supply is a big risk you are taking based on a gamble about whether or not that can have any kind of effects on their prices which in most cases it won't.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Conspiracy theory on: July 09, 2019, 12:12:49 PM
there is a very simple debunking argument against your theory:

if Satoshi really wanted to create something to manipulate its price and make profit, then he could have done it in a much easier way and make a lot more money in a much shorter time.
if you want to see an example of how such a thing would look like all you have to do is to pop over to some altcoin exchange and start looking at some of the markets. those developers have created those tokens exactly for this reason. to pump and dump them and make millions in a short time before going away.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: July 09, 2019, 11:59:30 AM
My tactic: keep buying small amounts of btc, this way you buy at low and high dollar/btc rates.

Eventually it will be worth much more.. my guess.
that's the sentiment most die hard bitcoin believers have. It's definitely paid off in the last few years for people with this mindset.

"die hard bitcoin believers" is a meaningless term in my opinion.
logically speaking you analyze bitcoin and see its potential, if you did then you start investing in it. but most people don't have a large sum of money lying around that they could dump into bitcoin! so they have to slowly buy bitcoin each week/month as they are left with a little bit of money after expenses. that means buying little by little and since you already know the long term potential buying at $3k then $4k then $10k isn't really a problem since you plan to hold long term and when it reaches something like $100k it wouldn't matter anyways.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please read my story on: July 09, 2019, 11:51:00 AM
most elderly are scared of new technologies. they are even afraid of using computers and i have heard one even say they were afraid that if they used a computer they might catch a computer virus and become sick! and i am not joking about this...
you can't blame their simple way of thinking and it is not much of a story to tell others. you shouldn't force them to change their way of thinking either. most people are set in their ways after certain age and nothing can change that.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware of shlling on: July 08, 2019, 01:06:53 PM
actually "shilling" for a shitcoin can be an excellent signal when you are a trader!

as a rule of thumb whenever you see a lot of talk about an altcoin from a ton of newbies all over the forum advertising it and shilling for it, that can be a very good indicator that it is time to dump that altcoin and get out of it right away.
so far, i have never seen newbies passionately advertise an altcoin that would rise after their shilling! they all are either getting dumped or will be dumped soon after.
