501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: October 22, 2017, 05:44:13 PM
Not really knowing the odds of the games you play. 99% of people don't really know what is going on with the different gambling games, that's why you see so many people playing slots even though they are the worst with extremely bad odds, blackjack and others are far better but still disadvantageous at the end.
502  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Account Suspension Scam on: October 22, 2017, 10:06:29 AM
what Polo turned scam, wow.  I knew this stuff was going to happen, is why I never trusted exchanges.

But you do fully trust a random stranger on the internet who has zero verifiable proof we can check, over a multi-million dollar exchange? I'm not saying that poloniex is good, or bad, but come on man.

Use your brain for once. There would be more then 2/3/4/5 complaints if poloniex went rogue with all their funds..

I have read more accusations and it seems more like a support problem than the exchange itself. A lot of people had to wait months to get a reply which is obviously not good but I don't think it necessarily means they will scam anyone.
503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Account Suspension Scam on: October 21, 2017, 03:51:32 PM

This guy (XinXan) is probably a  member of Poloniex Team,do not listen to him, ignore him !

Poloniex will probably exit scam ,A lot of people have left poloniex to avoid this  , you should do the same thing

no I'm sure he is not , many users here blindly defend poloniex cause they had good experience with the site but that doesn't mean that other members are having the same experience too
me personally I was affected by the bad behavior of their support system , I had an open thread and some people were defending poloniex without even reading the full story

I'm not defending anything, jesus. I just said I use poloniex myself and I was interested in the accusation. How many false accusations are here, plenty. Now seeing the ticket evidence there is something weird going on but then again we can't know for sure what he has been doing, although a response from their support would be appreciated.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: October 19, 2017, 09:30:34 AM
Bitcoin Cash was a good addition to my bitcoins Cool

Sure but now? What's the point of it, it was artificially pumped to like 900$ and then dropped so fast to like 300$ and now it can't even reach 400$ even tho, bitcoin went from 4000$ to almost 6000$

Bitcoin cash is trash, there is no real support by anyone for it, if you want an altcoin, use litecoin or ethereum
505  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Account Suspension Scam on: October 19, 2017, 09:28:36 AM
Poloniex is just a crypto mafia and I just wanted to tell other people what happened to my account just to create awareness about Poloniex. Please just stay away from this exchange and use a hardware wallet.

many exchanges do not respond to their customers 'support tickets and do not solve their customers' problems, but this is because there are no inspections done by the authorities and these exchange companies do not even have offices, that is, we need the intervention of the authorities to impose the law, punish the exchange for their acts

I use poloniex.

be careful when using polo

Why what's going on, I haven't seen anything serious against them? What other exchanges are trustworthy, they all seem borderline a scam these days. There are scam accusations against all of them basically.

I just dont know what to think of these accusations. I have used polo, trex, nova and cryptopia without any issues whatsoever. Yet again and again I see these scam accusations that look legit which I find troubling. I get the feeling that govt is cracking down on these exchanges behind the scenes and as a result we are seeing a lot of locked accounts.
Several years ago a site called stockpair.com (a trustworthy binary options trading site) had to kick all of their US based traders off their site due to regulation updates regarding BO trading. Those outside of the US could continue trading. After experiencing this I wonder if the same thing is happening to crypto trading sites.

I don't know, a lot of the times accusations are made by people who know they fucked up and want to retaliate against the exchange. OP hasn't provided any more info or photos to prove that his account was locked or that he didn't get any response from the support team.

507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin, which is better to invest into now? on: October 18, 2017, 07:52:48 PM
It seems to be a cycle of altcoins where every week or so 1 lucky altcoin will have a huge price increase. Ripple not long ago, eth a few days ago, dash a few months ago, then they go down eventually and they are not always following bitcoin price, I mean look at the recent bitcoin explosion, most altcoins went down hard because people were selling their alts for bitcoin.
508  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Account Suspension Scam on: October 18, 2017, 07:40:01 PM
I don't know, there are plenty of threads like yours from different websites claiming the website is a scam and it usually turns out the user was a scammer/hacker/cheater. If you really contacted them and they didn't respond, you should provide proof otherwise there is no reason for me to believe you. It seems to me that you know why the locked your account but I will wait because I use poloniex.

511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots Strategies? on: October 09, 2017, 07:14:43 PM
It is luck game, no strategy at all, so don't play it unless you are super lucky

And how do you know if you are super lucky? If you knew that we wouldn't call it luck, all games rely on luck, even skill based ones, no one should gamble as a way to get rich but people still do it regardless.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Surges Above $4400 As World Realizes Jamie Dimon & China Don't Matter on: October 09, 2017, 12:29:41 AM
aaaand 4600$ It really shows that bitcoin does not care about anything, a possible fork approaching, china bad news, a lot of fud and yet it's still rising. I can't imagine what will happen if we receive big good news, will it explode to like 10k? Honestly seems like a realistic possibility now.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: October 08, 2017, 04:56:27 PM
Long ago I made 2 bitcoins from 0.004, needless to say I did end up losing it all but it was still fun, you could argue that ''greed'' made me lose but that's only after knowing when you lose, I could have lost much earlier or I could have won 2 more bitcoins, you never really know.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots Strategies? on: October 08, 2017, 01:36:08 AM
Don't play slots, they have the worst odds. Try other games, you can search google for the best odds, usually blackjack where you can use a strategy to improve your odds although you will still lose more than win but at least there is some skill involved and definitely more fun.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Catalonia Referendum Pushes Bitcoin Prices Above $4400 on: October 08, 2017, 01:30:46 AM
Unless it goes up or down more than 1000$ there is no reason to think bitcoin is being influenced by anything. If you are not new to bitcoin you know the price can randomly go up a few hundred dollars even if nothing interesting/important happened because that's just how volatile bitcoin is.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Surges Above $4400 As World Realizes Jamie Dimon & China Don't Matter on: October 07, 2017, 03:16:08 PM
I don't think Dimon actually ever mattered. At worst, he probably stopped some people who were on the fence about buying Bitcoins. The China news was quite significant, as there are a lot of Chinese Bitcoin holders, but we're currently finding out that people are more than willing to pick up Bitcoins China dumps.

A lot of people argue that china bad news is making bitcoin stronger. It shows that even if a big country like china goes against bitcoin it can still survive and not only survive but fully recover and that's how it should be, I mean that was the point of bitcoin in the first place, to not be controlled by anyone or anything.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: October 07, 2017, 03:10:30 PM
If people were able to understand that when you have 50% chance you have that for every bet no matter how many bets or how many reds in a row you got, no one would play anymore.  If you get black black, the chances of getting another black are the same as when you started yet there are still a lot of people who think that waiting for a streak of blacks and betting on red will make them win.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: October 04, 2017, 12:54:01 PM
The obvious problem with your argument is that if no one sells their bitcoin then there will be no market for bitcoin and the price is indeterminate. So there have to be seller and buyers in order the establish value so you can decide the value at which you think is good to sell at. If you never sell you might as well not have them unless you are going to use for collateral for borrowing fiat.

That's true but individually holding your bitcoins has proven to be the best way to actually profit. Go back to 2013 and imagine buying bitcoins back then and holding them until now, you would have profited A LOT. Obviously as you said someone has to be selling and buying bitcoins otherwise the whole thing makes no sense but holding bitcoins is definitely a strategy that has been proven to work really really well.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: October 04, 2017, 12:51:56 PM
For me it is simple. There is no control when it is about gambling.

You are wrong, there's control in gambling. Only the gambler is the one that can do that control and if you are thinking that you can't do it, then expect what will be the output of that way of thinking. And for sure that will be a negative result because you don't have plans of controlling and instead of looking some better ways you are judging yourself that you can't do it or there's no way for you to control greed.

If you could control yourself you wouldn't be gambling in the first place, everyone knows you will very likely lose the money. You never really know when you are about to lose or win so after you start betting there is no such thing as controlling yourself because you don't control the odds, you might very well just lose very fast or win a lot, how do you manage your ''greed'' in those cases? You cant.

Don't say like that, control means that you have the power to take over into something. And if you wouldn't be gambling in the first place then you don't have an interest in gambling and that's the simplest answer why you are not into gambling. You can manage greed believe me, if you are a responsible person and you had bad experiences from the past then for sure you'll be able to make it.

You cannot manage greed, you are either greedy or not, there is no such thing as managing greed. You could start playing dice and tell yourself, ok I want to win 40$ if you win 40$ and you keep playing, does that make you greedy? Maybe, however you can always lose way before you win 40$, are you greedy in that case too? Yes, you are greedy the moment you play those type of games knowing very will the odds are against you.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: October 03, 2017, 03:11:11 PM
When I win 300%  Grin

That's too much bro. I like going x10 only. I have control of myself during my gambling that's why I only target x5-x10 of my initial bankroll. If I go higher, I'm thinking that I can lose in the long run. So it's better to quit early with winning, instead of targeting more. And the more you stay, the chances of you losing increases as well. Its really hard to get to x50 what's more with x300?

Placing only 100 bets a day, for example, because you think you will lose in the long term is not a strategy. It's in fact the same as placing a lot of bets the same day because you are still coming back to place 100 bets everyday which will eventually lead to you having placed a lot of bets, your luck/odds do not reset just because you stop playing.
