Ragin....  Can you tell us if there will be any issue in terms of taxes / customs on your end to receive the chips?
Forwarded that to him.

PS: We have an unclaimed 5.16BTC tx (found after a ton of PITA going through all tx's and confirmations here) - anyone who wants to claim that will have to sign a message with the input address now. I'm still thinking of what to do with it if anyone does not claim though.

Hmmm just hold it for now I guess keep broadcasting till someone responds.

Tough one that... might have to just go into the pot and raffle off the chips?

Or donate to the DIY Avalon team to get this PCB done faster?

PS: The shipping from Avalon to OP is calculated at 0.035BTC per person regardless of how many chips you order for simplicity. He'll be footing the rest if needed according to him.

Trigger pulled. Thanks JohnK.

What about everyone else?

Really?

They throw dog shit at people 6 months later and they are happy? Come on.
5246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL's Jalapeno exists - I have one in my hand and just uploaded a video on: April 25, 2013, 12:18:44 PM
I'd be happy if it shipped 6 months ago with problems. What a joke.

Update: I have exchanged some email with @BFL_Josh , and some things have been clarified.

My unit is probably closer to prototype than a production-quality review unit. In particular, one of the two chips in my miner is a dud, and non-functional. Production 5GH/s miners will all have 2 functional ASIC chips. Because mine has only one, it has been clocked higher, and is not quite capable of reaching 5 GH/s. But I'm happy with it.

grnbrg.

Define happy dude?

Thanks JohnK.

Just a note those completed cells in green include fees and shipping correct?
5249  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 10:12:20 AM
interested in ~30 chips, hereby pledging.
requesting PM if things get serious enough to require payment.

It is serious now. First come first serve make a payment or miss out.

If necessary to move this forward I can pay for another 160 chips just let me know when you only need 12.48 + fees and I can pop it in.

And silly question... are there any TAX or IMPORT duties on these 10K chips? Didn't notice that on the OP.
5250  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 10:11:33 AM
I paid and topped up to get exactly 320 Chips.

Just want to make sure I get the 320. JohnK check your decimal places some probably got chopped off and caused a lower rounding error.

I will be working on a similar "build" plan that Ragin's trying to do in the USA, for those in Indonesia, and I would be interested in working specifically with people in Jakarta if they are interested.

Let Ragin get more details first I think then he can post another thread for everyone like Burin/Alten and DIY post. Let's keep getting MORE BTC in... we want to BUY this week right? Focus on getting more people to pay is the key right now... the BUILD focus can be after we get the purchasing in the bag.

I'll add

*setting it up so that you get everything and everyone else gets nothing (freicoin)

That is lie. It is 80% to a foundation that will redistribute coin agreed to by the USERS not one person or small group it will be a consensus.

What really happens:

20% goes to the miners now...

5% demurrage will go to the miners as Freicoin loses value.

And if we can't find an equitable way to distribute Freicoin then that 80% will be destroyed and demurrage will recoup 100% of that for the miners.

*Hate it when people BULLSHIT and LIE about altcoins.

5260  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: April 24, 2013, 06:09:48 AM

And more good news for people who participated in ragingazn628's group buy.
I'm in contact with him to establish a similar direct shipping scheme.

That is good news... now just hope these people GET THEIR COINS in for this group buy. Closing in on 500 paid in... need just a few more to pay up.  Wish it was worth my while to send all the chips your way but with customs in Indonesia better we manufacture here to avoid customs clearances. Really hoping the DIY extends to the board design being open source so we can cut down on the delays and customs. If I were in the EU it be an easy call.
