Srilanka team has been morally and physcially down after they have won the last and single worldcup in the history. Since that time, the players are not upto that performance mark and their performance is on the decline just like West Indies team.
I disagree with that. After the winning of 1996 word cup Sri Lanka was a team who dominated the world cricket for the next few years. Yes, from last one decade they could not perform well. Maybe it's because they were not able to produce players like Muralidharan, Chaminda Vaas etc. There is also too much internal politics, they have very few good players left with them and it is the responsibility of the board to find good talents which I do not think is happening. Srilanka was a very good team that was feared in International tournaments ages ago. |

True but both the others player are not from so known. Aside from Masrafee, Nafis Iqbal who contributed his maiden century toward Bangladesh test series win (brother of Tamim Iqbal) and Nazmul Islam who played couple of matches for Bangladesh. However, that's a big worry for the team and the nation as whole. Very Bad news for the cricket world. This will hamper any chances of a tournament being organized. I think the schedules test series with Srilanka might get postponed because of this issue. |

After two months of investment, the amount that you have earned in Bitcoin is still good compared to earning nothing when kept in a wallet. I think if you keep it there for a year the BTC profit should look good.

I see that you are currently neither in profit nor in a loss. I guess it is too early to get into any conclusion. Ups and downs are part of Investment still, profit is what everyone looks for. I think after 30 days there would a better picture. I will keep an eye on this thread and then decide about investing.

Cryptocurrency is already under the scanner of government agencies. They have associated it with everything which is illegal.
After reading the story of this couple I am in the conclusion that they are wrong on their part. I have no doubt about it. They should immediately do something to repay their tax.
If they need to sell their crypto assets then they should otherwise, the tax agency would suggest the government that cryptocurrency is a new illegal way to abet tax.
It does sound silly but, it will happen for sure.

Bitcoin halving is basically Bitcoin halved to allow cryptocurrency mining to produce 50% of its global existing value.
It always happens every four years.
This is actually not true. Bitcoin halving is not guaranteed to occur every 4 years. It basically depends on the blocks wherein after every 210,000 blocks are mined halving happens. So, If Bitcoin is mined faster halving will occur sooner. This year in 2020, a historic moment occurred on May 12, which helped reduce the mining reward from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 blocks.
Yes, it is historic and would be known more than any other halving because of the pandemic affecting the global economy and Bitcoin still holding on. If you look at the trend of halving before, it will cause an astronomical increase in prices, which will translate to huge market fluctuations in other digital currencies including Bitcoin.

^^ Don't underestimate the greed of the BCCI. I am not ruling them out from the IPL event race, they are just looking for one positive news regarding pandemic after that they can do anything.
As far as T-20 is concern, ICC and CA doesn't seems interested at all.
I guess the T20 World Cup is out of the equation, after statements from the Cricket Australia chairman (Earl Eddings) and Ehsan Mani (ICC Board member). This may give an opportunity for the BCCI, but the situation in India is progressively getting worse. Yesterday we had close to 14K new infections and today we are all set to reach 15K mark. It is just disastrous. BCCI never backed down so the question of opportunity in conducting IPL is not applicable here. They have never said that they have canceled IPL 2020, they are only delaying it for a few months and when the time is right they will go for it. I do not think it will be possible for them to conduct IPL now, considering the current virus situation in India. If the spread slows down by the fourth quarter then there is a chance. |

I guess some of the world cup winners have had faced the same issue after couple of years. Can't remember the exact one though. Srilanka has tried their best to win the world cup but no luck. It's now a proven true that "Laziness brings the evil mind"  I think that the Srilankan board and few players from that squad are still not able to digest that they lost a winning match. It has been 9 years now and still, they are accusing each other. Are they always high or they are dumb? |

I saw this today online:
China’s Center for Information and Industry Development, or CCID, revealed on June 18 that its 18th CCID Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index. This index ranked 37 well-known global cryptos using technical specifications.
According to the table published by local media Chainnews, Bitcoin (BTC) was placed in the 12th place, with 106.2 points.
The criteria used to evaluate cryptocurrencies include basic technology, applicability, features, performance, safety, creativity and decentralization.
At the top of the table, EOS leads the ranking with 156.1 points, followed by TRON with 138.43 points and Ether (ETH) with 136.4 points. The leading cryptocurrency scored 20.4 points in applicability and 24.7 in creativity, while the second place had 28.4 and 15.5 points, respectively.
How can China's CCID deem Bitcoin in such a low standing on this chart? Their very central bank proclaims that Bitcoin is the future practically. I don't get this.
Technically Bitcoin cannot compete with the top three cryptocurrencies in this list. If we talk about market cap then it way beyond the reach of all the cryptocurrencies in the market. The ranking is based on technical specifications and not on popularity. Anyways I and most of my fellow members will not care about this ranking because it comes from China. |

Best think to not use your wallet on a device which you use for browsing the internet and for downloading stuff. I always use a stand alone device for all my cryptocurrency related activities.
I also tend to keep it offline whenver possible . In my opinion it is very hard to distinguished a malware nowadays. Most antiviruses are able to detect it but still you cannot take a chance with your money.

Lol, look at that! Sri Lankan former sport minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage smoking some fine weed nowadays. He's basically blaming sri lankan team that they fixed the match.
“In 2011, we were to win, but we sold the match. I feel I can talk about it now. I am not connecting players, but some sections were involved,” he said. I was thinking there was a possibility for a scandal here but i lost when the sports minister said that the selectors were involved in loosing the match and the World Cup, it is funny the selectors selected a team just to reach till the final and then loose the World Cup to India . I am sure the retired players who played the game will respond harshly for this stupidity. I am feeling this is not serious issue in Sri Lanka as politics is too much involved in cricket board and we have history of many personal issues and statements like this hopefully they will not take this serious and this all stupidity will end soon as or media will hilight as we have lock down and not other things to talk. This fixing of Worldcup 2011 issue has been popping up periodically and almost everytine from the Srilankan side. Why don't they investigate it once? Why are they all accusing each other? In my opinion, it was a fair match and India played well to win the cup. |

Looks like the BCCI is pushing ahead with hosting the IPL later this year in September - November which will put the T20 world cup in doubt. Not only that there are still several countries that have strict travel restictions in place which would make it hard for the world cup to go ahead. I thought it would as Australia has done well at containing the virus but like I said its winter here and now we are seeing an increase in cases daily, the worst since March.
BCCI cannot do this without approval of Government and situation is not good for them even most of experts peak of corona is still coming so I have doubt they will be able to have IPL this year because this could be very risky and can bring some serious damage to them even without crowd many players will not able to came here and join this all. IPL in India does not look feasible for this year considering the current situation and other things which is going in the country. So only thing of it has to happen would be out of India and SL is an option . But only thing when and what will happen to T20 World Cup then . Will both happen or any 1 will happen or both will not happen this year are still questions on everyone mind. Tentative date is September, I am not sure whether the situation will change by tha time . Starting September most Indian festivals will also start. People will come out to buy new things and the virus situation might get worst by that time. |
