541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: September 25, 2017, 09:55:35 PM
Yes sure investing and gambling both involve some risk and some choice however when betting on sports or any gambling game there are no loss-mitigation strategies, you lose it all. This is the difference between investing and gambling. When you invest in bitcoins for example, it's close to impossible to lose all your money, bitcoin would need to have a value of 0$ for you to lose it all. You can also always set up a stop loss or a sell order to prevent further damage.

544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: September 24, 2017, 09:52:26 AM

You are right who will play for money they will never enjoy the game. Becasue those gamblers primary intention is to win the money. if they win money then they will feel happy or else they keep on thinking about that lost and go home. They do not see the enjoyment in the game. Those who believe that they can become rich from gambling this is the worst mistake they make in gambling.

Every gambler knows this fact but still, they believe that they are very lucky than others so they keep on trying their luck in gambling. But if you can try your luck with small amount sometimes it is reasonable but some gamblers every day they will go to gambling to try their luck and end up losing all their hard earned money. The worst thing is some people gamble even with borrowed money.

It's not reasonable, it's stupid. If you know you can't win then you shouldn't throw your money away. If you are going to play to win then at least you should pick the best odds and a lot of people pick slots which have the worst odds. The casino isn't fair however placing a big one-time bet cuts the house edge to its bare minimum because it works on your stake only once, the more you bet the more you will lose. Blackjack and craps are the best games with the best offering odds.

It's probably true that religion makes people happy because it gives you an alternative for death however, it's an illusion, you will eventually die and there will be no heaven, no after life, no purpose, no meaning just emptiness, that's life, nothing special, we really are just something that happened and there is no purpose. Knowing this reality is not going to do any good for anyone's happiness but regardless of feelings is still the truth.
549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS is nothing compared to U.S. cops. on: September 21, 2017, 01:24:41 PM
I mean, I think cops can be bad yea but I do not think the majority of cops are bad people a lot of my friends are cops that I grew up with. Would I ever be a cop hell no! lol. But I think for the MOST part it all depends on how you handle your encounter with the police if your being an asshole then yea a trigger happy cop may shoot you so my philosophy is drumroll please.... DONT BE AN ASSHOLE TO A MAN WITH A GUN.

Now as far as ISIS being compared to cops I think they are 2 completely different things the police were invented with good intentions to protect good people from the bad people now yes cops have to much power nowadays etc. etc. but ISIS was created purely for spreading evil and violence I don't think you can really compare the two....

Badecker does not understand statistics or how they work. He keeps mentioning a few stories here and there not realizing that even if there are 1000 cases of police brutality/fail/murder whatever it is, it's still not a lot taking in count that there are 700.000 U.S. cops.

As I said before, of course you gonna have bad cops like you have bad people that kill other people, should we compare normal citizens to ISIS as well because there are 15.000 murders each year?

I think this is good for bitcoin and bitcoin community. If the price goes up again this will mean that BTC doesn't need chinese traders that much. So next time if anything like this happens the fall won't be so dramatic.
I would say it is "immunisation" for bitcoin.

It's going up now, I don't know how much that will last because It will probably go back down very quickly, I personally sold and I'm waiting to buy again, probably at around 3000$ because I think that's where is heading again but we will see.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, this time it's extremely serious! on: September 15, 2017, 01:06:21 PM
It's just another bubble burst. It happens every time and we don't need bad news for china to happen. People always overreact, we are still at 3400$, remember that not long ago we were below 1000$ and a few years ago bitcoin was at 300$

It's going to bounce up as usual. Yes, this is a big hit but you can always benefit from it.
552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese ban bitcoin news is 100% pure bullshit on: September 08, 2017, 05:35:35 PM
I mean you can take advantage just as much as them but it's still pretty stupid to be gone for 1 minute and comeback to see bitcoin price dropping 100$ every minute.
price went down about $400 which is ~8% that is not at all big. and $220 of it is already recovered!
and that is bitcoin, volatile like this. it won't change for some time but it slowly becomes less volatile. the same news 2-3 years ago would have meant 30% drop at least.

I'm sure when coinbase gives their BCH to people, everyone will dump it and BTC's price will boost up. Anyways, just keep calm.
i don't think so because if people want to sell BCH for BTC then they do it directly. meaning they sell BCH for BTC and that doesn't change bitcoin price. it is like saying people sold dogecoin for bitcoin!

Well to be fair, I don't think is really getting less volatile. From 2000$ to almost 5k in 2 months is still pretty volatile. Is just the price is so high now that 100$ is not a big % but still 400$ can mean losing a ton of money in a very short amount of time. I mean I'm not complaining, that's bitcoin if you want to be a day trader. You can hold forever and end up winning anyways.

Nothing badecker says makes sense anyways so don't try to argue with a mentally ill person, it just won't work. He thinks that all 700.000 cops in the US are bad yet he can only post 20 cases where police actually were wrong, as I said, he lacks critical thinking, you can make badecker believe anything. Sad.
