541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Gradually Increased in Price in September, Case for a Bull Run in 2018 on: October 18, 2018, 08:45:13 AM
This price increase is actually some minor positive price correction but it doesn't seam to me this could be the sign of another bull run.
Many are waiting the end of the year with expectations of some big price rise but to my opinion this is not very likely.
If you ask me this is pure speculation without solid ground, currently there are no such indicators on the market.

if you look at all these changes that people call "increase decrease" as some sort of simple fluctuations of the market while it stays stable then you can view the market in a different light. and that would be a stable price where accumulation is taking place. and that is a good sign for the bull market on the way and without any more drops this rise is being solidified.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China can destroy bitcoin on: October 18, 2018, 08:42:00 AM
China is more like a psychological power the people created for themselves rather than them being actually powerful and having any real major influence in the future of bitcoin. and most of it i believe is because of the drama with bitcoin scaling and the fact that miners weren't accepting the proposals for a long time. so people started demonizing them and focus only on one company in China (bitmain).
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Drawback of all new cryptocoins!Confusion? on: October 18, 2018, 08:30:00 AM
the only drawback of new cryptocurrencies these days is that they are bloating the market up and may create some confusion for those who suddenly enter the altcoin market without knowing what is going on in it. otherwise we have a lot of shitcoins and people who spend a little time looking at the market will understand if quickly and there will be no more  drawbacks.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative coin that will recover before year end? on: October 16, 2018, 09:53:08 AM
unfortunately this is not something that we can predict before it occurs because here we are talking about pumps and pumps don't have a schedule to stick to and happen precisely based on that. it is all random.
the pump group randomly chooses an altcoin they like to pump and then pump it. what you need to do is to check the market of different coins and watch for the signs of the pumpers silently investing in that coin and you do the same.
545  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on?? on: October 16, 2018, 09:41:21 AM
That was actually some USDT bullshit stunts, and I wonder why a lot of people are still making use of it, despite how shady everything about USDT is.

exactly. there are a lot of people who still think 1 USDT should always be = 1 USD. which has never been true since we had a lot of examples of the price of it falling down.
and the reason is because most people don't listen to warnings until it is too late. like not seeing red flags of scam exchanges until they get scammed themselves.
546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin get to $10,000 this year again? on: October 16, 2018, 09:24:11 AM
$10k is the minimum value of bitcoin that we can call it real value and no longer under-priced. but the only reason that this rise is not yet happening is because every time price tried rising back up to its real values, it encountered a lot of FUD and dump and we had lots of weak hands thanks to the bubble which made everything that much worse. eventually investors gave up and now they are waiting for the rise to start before jumping in and whales are enjoying the accumulation phase for now.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF Request for Comment: 97% Positive on: October 16, 2018, 09:06:44 AM
Well, here are some bullish news, lets hope that it will increase bitcoin prices like crazy:
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/15/fidelity-launches-trade-execution-and-custody-for-cryptocurrencies.html

nah, the market needs to get ready for the rise first before it can start going up and this news doesn't seem to be that big a deal to be a bale to change much about this current stable situation.
mainly the accumulation phase is the preventing factor for the rise and that only needs time to reach the end.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The StableCoin Craze on: October 16, 2018, 08:50:35 AM
it is impossible to make an stable coin!
we have a lot of coins that call themselves stable coin but they are not really stable. they have fluctuations and some of them big ones. and the worst problem with them is their centralization.
the current craze is mostly because people don't want to be caught up in KYC so they choose these tokens instead but they are introducing themselves into a lot of risks.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am pulling all my coins from Centralized Exchanges on: October 15, 2018, 09:23:02 AM
Short positions in Ethereum are at record levels.

shorts are happening a lot more these days because prices of altcoins including ethereum are falling hard and real traders don't hang around doing nothing hoping for pumps to make profit. real traders want to make profit from any opportunity they can get.

in a healthy market shorts and other stuff happen alongside each other. it is not a bad thing at all. and not to mention whether you pull your money out or not, they will continue happening. if anything the dumps will become more severe as more people pull out of the market as the sells aren't going anywhere.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Crying about Crypto (FOR ALL INVESTORS) on: October 15, 2018, 09:09:25 AM
What is the famous saying........"If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen."

the problem these days is that some people confuse "farts" with "heat" and want to handle the fart in the air Cheesy
for example when some shitcon is pumped and they buy into that pump, they convince themselves that if they bag hold then they are "handling the heat" but in reality they are being farted on.... lol.

There are so many people crying about the recent dip of BTC that I'm frankly getting annoyed.
another good example here. there was no "recent dip of BTC". you are calling the small 2 or 3 percentage fluctuations as "dip".

You should know the risk involved in investing in crypto. If not, don't even waste your money. Go buy a CD that won't make more than the rate of inflation. Remember investing is literally legalized gambling. Treat it as such or don't even jump in the pool. Cry
i strongly disagree. there is nothing gambling like when it comes to investing. some people who have no idea how investment works and don't understand the market dynamics, call it gambling only to justify their losses. otherwise there are risks involved in an investment but they don't make it a gamble.
551  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pain of holding bitcoin in 2017. on: October 15, 2018, 09:00:39 AM
what you are saying is like having a gem in your pocket but complaining that it is a heavy rock pulling your pocket down!

when you don't know what you own (bitcoin in this case) you obviously find it tedious to hold it. and when you don't have enough knowledge about the market and trading you will also have trouble making decisions about when to sell, when to buy and when to hold. for instance right now it is time to buy. and with the new drama about Tether it may be the best opportunity to get some money ready to buy more in case drama could have some impact.
552  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening right now? (2018/10/15) on: October 15, 2018, 08:51:31 AM
Today, we started with Bitcoin great pump like end of the 2017. Bitcoin almost %20 rised and reached almost 8K in 1 hour. Then, started the retreat again to 7K.

OMG, did you people start using bitcoin yesterday?
bitcoin price is the same as it was ever. and a rise is not a pump. right now you are looking at the price of bitcoin versus an altcoin and think that price is the value of bitcoin! that altcoin is called Tether not USD Cheesy

check out Coinbase, Kraken, and other exchanges that are actually trading bitcoin with fiat. you can also check out exchanges that have other fiats such as Euro, CNY, JPY, ... they are all the same.

it is just that one altcoin (tether) that is falling in price.
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pump on binance. Already cross 7.5K USDT on: October 15, 2018, 08:26:08 AM
the sign you used in your post ($ sign) is called dollar sign and generally it is used for United States dollar. but the number you are reporting is not USD valued. it is Tether value!

in other words 1 bitcoin is worth 7200 Tether which is equal to about 6500 US dollar.

I'm a bit puzzled about this...
Bitfinex is showing 7200 (right now) and those are $ not USDT , are they using USD for their tether?

We're going to have another gox?

i believe it is because of the old design that they never changed. before Bitfinex started having trouble with their banks last year, they used to have active fiat (USD) markets and small tether on the side. but when the problems began they turned everything into Tether and since they are the creator of Tether too and want to convince the world 1 USDT = 1 USD without implicitly saying it they never changed things in their platform.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zambian Central Bank Declares Bitcoin Is Not Legal Tender on: October 15, 2018, 08:21:09 AM
Even if Zambia declares Bitcoin not to be a legal tender, I don't see it affecting the price or perception towards bitcoin in anyway. Besides, Zambia does not have any influence in global economy or crypto world. Therefore, it's stand on Bitcoin does not hold any water.
The only one that will be affected is the Zambian crypto enthusiast. However, as the article has stated, do it at your own risk. As if telling their people who wont' back you up in case someone stole crypto from you or scam you. If those Zambians knows how to protect themselves then I'm sure they're willing to take that risk because they know that bitcoin is a new revolution. Of course they're also aware of the potential for make huge profit out of the market so its worth a risk, just saying.

nowhere else the banks would protect you if you get scammed whether it is in cryptocurrency world or elsewhere. banks aren't there to protect people from scammers when they put their money somewhere unsafe. the banks are only there to make profit from the transactions you make.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% Im sure no one here cannot tolerate not visiting Portfolio for monitoring on: October 12, 2018, 10:23:09 AM
in other words you are assuming that everyone here is a newbie bag holder who has no idea what a real investment should be like and what portfolio really means Cheesy

no dude it is not at all like that. when people keep checking the value of the bags they are holding it is because deep down they know they have made a mistake.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Volumes Surge Nearly 30% as it Price Breaks Out of $6,550 on: October 12, 2018, 10:12:16 AM
For that last part, this is something we are all possibly looking at to know how things would eventually turn out but it is still hard to tell. Technically, we have been creating a higher low from June and possibly we can say we are in a triangle at the moment with the market trying to find a direction as the case may be.

We cannot really tell yet what this direction would end up as, but usually at times like this, the optimism is always a great thing. There are so many reasons to think the market would go bullish before the end of the year, technically and fundamentally, but for now we just wait and see how things would eventually turn out.

that is only for very short term not the medium term.
if you look at the drops and the prices that happened and now we are at you can see that there is no other direction but up left for bitcoin. the very short term price can have fluctuations in any direction but other than that price should start rising pretty soon to recover from this massive 70% drop.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soon anniversary-10 years. on: October 12, 2018, 10:00:29 AM
you say "started" a lot as if these things are new and you also use the word "crypto" a lot instead of saying bitcoin. the fact is bitcoin has always been a because of that there has always been use cases of it as a currency. for example that jewelry store you mentioned is one of the oldest cases of bitcoin usage.
of course these usages and use cases have grown over the years but they started from very early years.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto Ukranian? on: October 12, 2018, 09:51:40 AM
My hunch is that it was Nick and Hal that created bitcoin - they are Satoshi Nakamoto.
That's also what I suspect but I guess this is going to be one of the greatest mystery that will never be solved.

i don't think Hal is the creator of bitcoin although it has been debated a lot. based on his comments and the contributions he was mostly a contributor and someone who was very interested in bitcoin who found out about it like the rest of us.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go up like last year? on: October 12, 2018, 09:47:42 AM
What do you think? Bitcoin will grow like last year until it reaches about $ 20,000? Or fall below $ 10,000?

are you copying this from somewhere or don't you know the current price is $6k+?

in any case to answer your question, eventually price will rise up and reach $20k and above like what we had last year and eventually we will end up with a new ATH and a new bubble at a much higher price like $70k.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of altcoins keep increasing! on: October 10, 2018, 09:46:19 AM
too many useless tokens that bring nothing. The crack of 2018 has failed to purge this. The market is not mature and is still small...there is still a lot of shares to take.

the market is constantly being "purged" of shitcoins but the problem is that this purge takes time so their death spiral sometimes takes along time to complete. but it will happen eventually.
and another problem is that there is constantly new shitcoins being created and introduced in the market so there is no way we can see the market fully purged and clean.
