541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 17, 2020, 05:39:21 AM
That's why it's very recommended to always have a side hustle even before the pandemic most employers have been doing this kind of thing to their employees. Just like in wayfair they've laid off over 500 workers just to hire new workers that accepts lower salary.

So these situations does not only occur in casino workers but also other businesses.

Smart people will understand that those who are joining now even in future they would be removed the way others have being removed before them . So either this guys will leave before it and overall when their is no stability in retention somewhere down the line it will have impact how small or big is unknown . That is why loyalty pays for people who are their from long time .
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: April 17, 2020, 05:36:29 AM
Even though some of your members say that the method is successful, but it cannot provide guarantees for other members, it means that it is only luck that he can succeed in that way, because I often try other people's methods, but the results will not always be the same.
Exactly so even this strategy works for other gamblers it doesnt mean it will also work for you and can be a profitable way to recover what you lost. It will depend how lucky you are especially in dice game, I think I already use all my known strategy but no one works perfectly or atleast give me decent amount of winnings.
Most of the time those gamblers who are trying to copy someones strategy losses a lot, thinking that because someone wins using the same pattern they will also have the same fate. Not everyone have the same outcome when they are playing maybe if a person got lucky when using martingale is not sure that the same thing will happen to the other gambler.

I simply put in this way that if people who want to bet double in anticipation they will win it, but first should think that will they be fine emir they lose that double amount as well and if answer is yes and they want to risk that then  only they should be doing it else avoid such things beacuse not everyone has that luck to win it .
543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty choosing a trading platform on: April 16, 2020, 12:26:34 PM
The most important thing is to choose a TRading platform that gives you help tools, as in Bitfinex you have to place: Take Profit + Stop Loss, this allows you to have peace of mind, another platform is Binance since it is very reliable, Bitstamp is excellent, I recommend you the most recognized since they have greater confidence in the market.

From last couple of year the way Binance has becomes every goer's platform it has made things more simple and with less trading fees it has becomes a people choice as well . Easy to use, good safety features, less trading fees and if used BNB coin the fees still gets reduced, no KYC for limited volumes of trade if done are just some of their attractive features just makes people to use it.

544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 16, 2020, 12:23:30 PM
Some have mentioned a Twenty20 World Cup without spectators and in other sporting events as well. A match without spectators does not make sense, this bad weather of the Coronavirus will end. We just have to be patient and wait, scientists are working against the clock to develop a vaccine Coronavirus. We must be careful experts do not rule out a second wave.

Majorly now people have started to believe that it is not going to happen this season and another thing that comes to my mind is that for many people due to impact in business or job etc people would cut their all extra expenses for coming year . So crowd may not be ready to pay extra amount this time in watch IPL in stadiums just in case if it happens and also there could be chance of getting infected with virus unless 100% is removed from the country which means due to precaution some people anyways would not like to take that risk where there is a mass gathering.

545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 15, 2020, 03:22:23 PM
They will get 100% of their contract fees, and earnings from advertisements and endorsements. At the most, they may face a 10% or 20% reduction in the annual salary (in the form of forfeited match fees).
That is a very generous pay cut if you ask me. Politicians themselves received around 30-40% pay cuts. This makes Cricketers even more lucky under current conditions especially when the world is facing a recession.

Yup.
Adding to that, only a few of the cricketers have contributed to the COVID 19 relief. Individuals such as Ravi Shastri are yet to donate a penny, despite almost every single celebrity in other fields doing so. That said, the real danger to them would be a reduction in the advertisement revenue if the economy goes in to a recession. Since the contracts are already signed for this financial year, the impact will be felt from next year onward.

Actually, not heard much about the top players as well who are donating it or already done it to the likes of Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virendra Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh and other big names. I hope they can easily contribute a very big amount to the nation and help people. If they are already doing it then it is very good thing an inspiration for others.

546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 15, 2020, 03:09:45 PM
In India, today there was an announcement from the MHA (Ministry of home affairs). A number of relaxations were being declared regarding the lockdown. The ministry has permitted the opening of IT and ITES firms from April 20 onward, with up to 50% staff attendance. This is an encouraging sign from the government and it is clear that they are looking forward to lift the lockdown. I am still not very sure about the IPL, but BCCI is going to try really hard to start it as soon as possible.

So finally, we hear from BCCI that the IPL of 2020 is suspended till further notice due the Conon Virus. Though there is still a hope kept alive that it can happen how and when could be a question they need to look at it. But I would say that cancelled for the year and mostly we would be seeing the IPL now in new year considering the schedule for the cricket tournaments of different countries.

547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: April 15, 2020, 06:06:21 AM
This is the perfect time to have longest break in online gambling Smiley
I don't know exact statistic but I am sure betting on sports now almost don't exist.
Online thing now I can do is cards or esport

As casinos now are closed so people may stopped it and for many this could be good break for those who are more into gambling in their daily lives . For the ones who does occasionally it would not impact them much but for people who make living on gambling it would be a difficult time for them as their would be hardly any thing for them to bet on this days .
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 15, 2020, 06:02:03 AM
Gambling greatly raises the level of cortisol in the blood at a faster heart rate.
With prolonged exposure, both of these factors can be very detrimental to the health of men in the future.
Women are less at risk for heart disease than men.

Gambling has a adverse effect on body when either you are addicted to it or have lost big amount in gambling which will result in many side effects to body . It could also lead to heart attack. People do have sleepless nights due to gambling and that is why it is said to play for fun so that one can enjoy rather than having any such tensions .
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will You Start Buying Again on: April 14, 2020, 12:56:49 PM
From the beginning of the year I was expecting that the price would drop to around $5k and I think that this is a good price to start buying again. At the moment, due to the crisis in the global economy, the situation can change at any moment. There is a risk that the price will fall very much once again, but the possibility of one more flash crash is every day smaller. I think that more and more investors from classic exchanges are beginning to notice the potential in the cryptocurrency market and this moment may be the best to buy. Personally, I will wait until the end of April with a decision. Hopefully the train will not surprise me.

I am not expecting any such big move to happen now with the virus as majorly it has effected what it had to do and we know it is going to take couple of months for things to start get back on track. So prices would have already being factored in as it has started to drop from 9k and had fallen 50% or more and then recovered it. So on small dips one should be buying it for making future profits.

550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 13, 2020, 05:26:51 PM
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
We cannot stop the market from falling and we have to admit that many industries are affected, yes its not healthy right now but as a small investor, I still see a dump market as a good opportunity to buy. Crypto will survive, this can still be a safe place for us so don’t lose hope and stay a positive mind towards cryptocurrency.

Entire world is facing the heat due to this pandemic and it will take lot of time for all the industries and economy to be back on track. Not only crypto even other markets have fallen badly and will be taking times to recover due to this virus. It is only time which one pass things will start to get normal and a good time for the investors to invest during this market as priced are low.

551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 13, 2020, 10:20:33 AM
I do not think any of the franchise would be paying for this year if the IPL gets cancelled. Also majority of the players would not impacted by this as they enjoy a very good lifestyle and has good amount of money. It would impacted the most would be the ground staff, security guards, different vendors who sells many accessories during the matches, commercials as many new people come in this ads run during this time etc.

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: April 13, 2020, 10:13:07 AM
Who are trading in Crypto market all are human? Then definitely Corona effected the Crypto market too as there are millions of people(maybe Crypto traders) whose families are infected due to this Virus and some there supportive also busy so at least The Corona affected all the fiat and crypto market as almost All new project has delayed there IEO schedule.

Virus has affected almost all the people in the world in some way or other and crypto is no different from this. This will continue for next couple of months as daily there has being rise on the number of positive cases including China as well. Though number in China is a question to many media and people as well but in other countries the cases are growing quickly, and this remains the cause of concerns for the world.

553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 13, 2020, 07:30:38 AM
I think age restriction in gambling is not strictly implemented. People will always find ways to gamble if they want. Here in our country there are a lot of minors who are gambling in the street and even in crypto since KYC is not required. What I find hilarious is making 5 years old kid being legal to gamble. During this age they should learn how to value money not to take risk to earn money.

Few people would always exists who would not listen to it . But we need to look at major picture and have a age restriction and if it is followed or not. If not and they come under law purview then we know how much penalty they would have to pay depends upon country and could also result into imprisonment and this would spoil their career. Also, child would not understand what money means unless they start earning themselves when they grow up.

554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: April 13, 2020, 07:27:50 AM
It still depends from people to people. Even if you have a spreadsheet of your winning and losses this will not encourage you to stop gambling. There are some websites that show your average winning and losses in your profile and yet this didn't stop other gamblers. Even without keeping track, if you wan't to stop you will stop.

It is very useful if the sites them self-provide you the profits and losses overall or month wise etc. This will enable to person to keep a check of how much money is being spent on this activity and is it worthwhile to incur loss if any. If people are in profits, then it is fine as it is an income for them but for people who are making heavy losses would need to learn from this and should be stay away if possible unless they have huge money and can afford loses.

555  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 12, 2020, 05:12:41 PM

As the COVID-19 strikes and spreads throughout the world it results on many changes in the lifestyle of many people. I guess after this pandemic coronavirus, everything has changed such as lifestyle, behavior, characteristics and also the way of their thinking. ...

I do not know when I will be able to return to the office for my main job, it is possible that the quarantine will be delayed for several more months. But the fact that this year I will not be able to go on vacation with my family in the summer is obvious now.

Many people plans would have cancelled due to this virus as it has spread in almost all the countries . So for the next few months the travel would not be safe till the time it gets completely resolved and people would not like to take chance and risk lives to travel in such situation . May be from third quarter few travel may start of the people or mostly people would postpone to next year .
556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 12, 2020, 05:09:32 PM
One important thing that friend told me which I found it so true that living a life is it that costly o it the lifestyle is. This lines just made me realise that one can stay simple and yet be happy with containment beacuse at the end their is upper limit to the desire as it will only keep on rising always.
557  Economy / Economics / Re: Cutting of Salaries in Indian Companies - Failed Future? on: April 12, 2020, 03:00:01 PM
Cutting of Salaries in Indian Companies

Many companies will fire their workers and many companies will totally cease to exist. World will be way different a year from now as it is right now. On other hand some businesses will flourish and even some totally new businesses will show up. Many will become millionaires and billionaires just because of covid-19.

In recession we have seen what has happened in 2008 and since recession is already set so we may expect some job cuts or less growth opportunities for this year . Virus has destroyed many businesses and future plans of many people . Hope to see economy starts to roll as quick as possible .
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 12, 2020, 02:55:14 PM
Aren't the casinos online too?
Well, I hope the good/safe games could just continue by operating online without the bad ones. The employees would then work part time and accept smaller pay. Everyone needs to remember that this is a crisis period...We all need should be understanding and try and help one another to survive.
I would even suggest using the small pay to grow your own foods/rare animals (in safe places ofcourse) and probably diversify into the essential businesses.

I think for people who just love to spend times in casinos would not enjoy in this online games as it’s altogether different fun . Only few who just are addictive or cannot stay without gambling may be doing online or rest would be just waiting for casinos to get open and situation gets normal so that they can gamble by visiting casinos .
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 12, 2020, 07:55:43 AM
They have the right to ask for salary and support, most of them are employers for years they should have a union and a compensation agreement if something like this happen, here in our country our government is the one running the casinos, so every employers are compensated and supported from all their needs in times like this.

I think many countries even have requested the business houses or businessman to not to cut the salary of their staff or employees for the lockdown period as they run their home based on the salty given and take care of the family . If they stop it. For many they won’t be able to survive as many has loaned or ill parents or medicine required etc especially in less developed countries . It’s really a bad situation for everyone at this time .
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 12, 2020, 07:47:21 AM
If the BCCI stages the tournament in July (around three months from now), then it is going to be a historic blunder. China was able to contain the pandemic after 3 months of extremely strict lockdown. Here in India, we are currently on the 3rd week of national lockdown. I am not expecting the situation to improve before June-July. Even if the situation gets improved by then, a major event such as the IPL may once again nullify all those efforts.

No, they will not anymore.

Most likely IPL will get cancelled this year or get postponed indefinitely untill the situation becomes normal. Sourav Ganguly will be addressing the media tomorrow after a meeting with the BCCI governing body.

In India things will take times and will be atleast for next couple of months before the situation completely becomes normal . By then the rain will start in India and this the matches is postponed till Oct end or Nov and thus if before they have to play then it will be out of India and that too not all would be their duentonyheirncoutbry prior schedule is already being fixed. Mostly it would be cancelled only .
