Canary, are these statements based on inside knowledge or just the rumours and facts everyone else knows? Also, are you a board member?

Yes. No.
562  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 11, 2015, 05:17:07 PM
Well that was a pretty useless statement. It told us nothing we didn't already know. Also, what's the status of AM's funds and BE300?

Per Canary:

update :

1. We have lost contact with Friedcat more than 40 days, we are now still focusing on finding him.
2. A lot of evidences we have found shows that he is safe, which is the only good news recently. In addition, all rumour around the community are baseless and untrustworthy. We know so far nothing about where has he been and where is he at the moment.
3. We have to focus on finding him currently so there are indeed some delay on replying email of sale@bitquan.com. However, since we have all records of your emails so it is only a problem of time, please understand and be patient.
4. AMHASH project is not from sale team of ASICMINER, we know nothing about the deal between Friedcat and ROCKMINER, no one else has seen the contract between them either ,therefore, we sale department of ASICMINER is not be in charge of AMHASH project, please be patient to wait till we find FC.

Is the new chip in production Phasebird?  Or what is the status of that project?

hello, BE300 project is still on going with the rest of AM team as I know. however ,since AM lost FC, a lot of decisions are probabaly hard to make.

In terms of our hardware sale department,we have saved all emails and will try to re-build our bussiness team as quick as we can.

please wait the upcoming statement from the board of AM.
It is not ongoing.  The sample chips were ordered on a shared wafer last year.  However, production chips were NEVER ordered, so nothing is ongoing Phasebird.
Even if some board members finally decide to do their job, the first order of business is to get rid of Dave.  Then if they put together funds and order the chips, how many months before a working product can begin to ship? By that time it's irrelevant.  Whatever monies would be spent, would again be a complete waste.
It's over for AM.  Maybe something can be rebuilt with new real management and a proper sales team but it won't be AM anymore and would be a gamble bigger than AM.

Canary telling phasebird(!!!) who is working for AM that the chips haven't been ordered. Canary used to be a pretty decent reseller, but is acting kind of strange lately.
AM employees like Pb were pretty much kept in the dark, so phasebird did not know.  their teams were not communicating between each other.  I'm not acting, this situation is very real.
563  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 11, 2015, 05:14:59 PM
Well with CITM throwing in the towel it seems this is most likely dead. It is a shame they could not have just shutdown in a more graceful manner. Goodnight, sweet price
I shared what I know, didn't throw in the towel at all.  My hope is to nudge fc out of his situation, hire a CEO and get rid of Dave and all other people who are not there to serve shareholders.
There was serious infighting between fc and Dave.  Fc is a young guy and people took advantage of him.  He is now the fall guy, a scapegoat.
The company didn't adjust as it grew with getting good business managers.  Management didn't listen to good external business advise.

The board of directors FAILED the shareholders miserably.  The board should have acted properly in shareholders interests, but what do you expect from a board made up of investors who purchased the seat instead of really doing it's fiduciary duty to the shareholders?  Although a couple board members really tried.
This david guy would be the last person I would invest a penny with (this is my personal view only).  AM is bankrupt.  The question now is, will certain people steal the IP from you the shareholders, find an investor and produce the chip with hopes of making personal gains out of this situation.

Pretty sure Phasebird is an official AM spokesperson on the forum?
Yep, phasebird is the sales contact for fc
565  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: March 10, 2015, 07:11:19 PM
Does anyone have a tube just sitting around gathering dust? I'm interested in getting one more hash board from a tube. Currently have 2 tubes but only 7 hash boards (sent one for rma, but that process is completely stalled). I'm not willing to pay much, but maybe we can work something out and I can help de-clutter your house. Please pm me if interested.

I have 1 board from a prisma available.  I never powered it on. as-is.

A certain competitor which we pay attention has not submit any mass production order to its wafer supplier.

Have AM submitted the BE300 wafer order ?

CanaryInTheMine said NO.

He did?
I did.
567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT miners and Joshua Zipkin on: March 10, 2015, 03:25:46 PM
Well, i havent been on this thread in a long time. The company i made a $6,000 purchase from is in the process of finally declaring bankruptcy - according to his letter to the federal court I am suing him in. The company i dealt with was called AMT miners and the owner is a real scumbag called Joshua Zipkin. This man, I believe, is or has been trying to start other companies. This is just a friendly note to those of you out there with large amounts of cash and a willingness to purchase a bitcoin miner... "stay away from any business with Joshua Zipkin" i wont bore everyone with the details but suffice to say the man is a pathological liar and a terrible businessman. Last told he fled to Bulgaria to essentially escape prosecution here in the United States. Be warned. I paid him $6,000 cash and he never sent me a thing. he even bragged about not sending me anything. please folks do not make the same mistake I did. he will not change. he intentionally defrauded a LOT of people. I was just one of his victims. there are many more. happy mining folks - i dont think i will ever try to get back into biotcoin mining. too much deceit.
If my memory serves me right, I saw him at A London conference last year and I think he was/is from Philly
568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Tube Sales Information Thread [Round4, Price at <1btc per TH/s] on: March 10, 2015, 02:59:06 PM
The PMS01 is customized to work with BE300 only...
However, given specs, there are factories that can make you one according to your needs/specs.  Tape out is about 100k USD (current exchange).  Unless you'd be ordering batches in future, paying tape out costs would be useless waste... You'd need a chip.
Also if this idea of PMS01 is good, I guarantee you other current and future manufacturers are designing their own versions already.

@novusordo: U don't know, Anon?  But... you, what do you call it?  "Invested"?

I don't care, actually. Anything I've ever "invested" with strangers on the internet was purely for teh lulz. Anything more (like a debt-free education) is just cake.

Ask any moron on the street if it's a good idea to invest in anonymously-run operations on the internet. You'll get the answer you expect, unless they're a member of this forum.

Speaking of which, do you have any special plans to celebrate the 100 days of your life you've spent trollsturbating here?

That's pretty much 1/3 rd of 1 years time; it's about 1 yr since the account was created.  So if you subtract sleep time (assuming there's any) this lad spends upwards of 80% online and on these forums...  This is someone who has no other life whatsoever.....

This doesn't take into account any time spent on alt accounts, so actually it's likely that this person spends ALL of their time online on this forum.  Perhaps they have some real challenges that won't permit them to get out much, so this is the only reality this person knows since he can feel somehow empowered by injecting into ANY controversy on this forum and fooling themselves that they are THE sheriff around here and told-you-so-disher-out.  A least get a redundant Internet connection cause you will go postal if your connection goes down and withdrawal kicks in.....
Sad...  You need to see a shrink ASAP...

Well, looks like David did fire everybody... This is all on him...

If you're going to post this you might as well explain and give the public some details...
^ This.  It would take you a couple of minutes at most to type out what you know and what your understanding is of the current situation.  The breadcrumbs you keep dropping are helping no one. Tongue

This would also serve to push down global hashrate in the short term. If MBP picks up 15PH/s for a song from people who are operating at breakeven right now, not only do they get a unit (say an S3) that they can run profitably, but during the move they're keeping difficulty increases in check.

It is interesting that they would bother with this though. I would have thought they would be extremely busy getting ready to integrate new Bitfury product into their mines as it is released.
There's just no decent hardware available in the marketplace.  Manufacturers slowed down due to depressed btc price.  Bitfury announcement doesn't mean a mining product is about to be ready to ship to an end user next week.  In fact I think it will be a while before any products ship with latest BF chip.  They will mine the shit out of it with first batches of their own chips...
My understanding (quite possibly mistaken) is that MBP is a pretty premier partner of the Bitfury group, and I would have expected them to get pretty early access to new hardware. A lot might have changed since 2013 though, that might not be the case anymore. That's the interesting part. Smiley

This project won't be without delays too, I would assume. If they are looking at getting offers now I'd expect it could be a month or more before any significant volume is decommissioned, shipped, installed and running.
As far as I know that relationship existed when a group helped organize mass production of first BF chip.  Since then, the new BF entity is different with none of the past relationships in place.  The name BF is same, but it's a different beast today compared to the original group.  So MBP does not have any tie ins anymore as far as I know.

This thread is funny, it's like a bad TV movie.  I've lost my keys before, lost my wallet, but I've never lost a person before.
