561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compound (COMP) Gets Listed on KuCoin, Deposit Now and Share 4,067 USDT! on: June 26, 2020, 10:00:13 AM
This is good coming from a Defi project and it will surely channel a good attention to Defi projects henceforth. The price after getting listed on Coinbase was massive and with Binance and Kucoin already in play shows there is more to expect from the project. Nevertheless just like the crypto space is unpredictable, anyone investing should carryout his due diligence to be on the safer side. Lastly, with attention moving to Defi projects now, all thanks to Compound, scammers will likely arise hence let due diligence be done always.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder of Zynga launches a blockchain project. Beta is live!! on: June 26, 2020, 09:51:53 AM
Blockchain advancement is taking a good shape to be frank and it is constantly on the increase with industry experts coming on board every now and then. Also, from another angle, blockchain games is gaining the right traction now as many developers keeps looking for ways to project their ideas while taking their position on the crypto space. As for this particular expert coming on board or already on board, this will be a new era in their existing ecosystem because in addition to offering users more gaming experience and benefits via blockchain will also lead to the increase in users hence more platform worth.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: June 25, 2020, 09:55:22 AM
I used to have 14 ethereum but I got caught in the web of FOMO and I lost over 10 ethereum because the project I invested the ethereum on have dropped marginally, is this the end of the road for me? Or I still have hope? How can I recover?

Lesson number one, always invest your spare money or what you can really afford.
Lesson number two, don't chase projects blindly especially new projects because a good number of them can't be compared to the likes of ETH, therefore it is not worth it investing such amount in useless projects.
Lastly, you can still recover but this might depend on the type of project you actually invested in; there have been projects whose team went underground to work and the price drops badly then they came back with massive developments and the price spiked, however only few projects can achieve this and only possible too if the team are serious and hardworking. So, check how hardworking the team are and know if you will hold or not, if they aren't hardworking you can sell off and hold ETH, it's better counting your losses early and moving on than lossing everything.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that Crypto mass adoption is getting in place on: June 25, 2020, 09:38:59 AM
Do not rely on this, it's just a news that could or could not happen, Yesterday news broke regarding the strong possibility that PayPal and Venmo, the two notable fintech companies are both moving to add direct crypto and Bitcoin trading capabilities to their users, what do you think will happen if this comes true??? I like the fact that this is happening and DeFi projects are doing their thing too

What I think? I think if this happens, then it will be really massive and a big win for the crypto space, therefore showing yet again that no matter what was said about crypto, the underlying technology has come to stay and there is no going back; so it would be better the world start embracing it. On the aspect of Defi, it is also a good one so far owing to the good success recorded so far from projects under Defi like Compound etc. Lastly, the pandemic affected a lot of things but with Defi and probably this news, we might experience new and positive things or growth in days to come..
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Projects on: June 25, 2020, 09:31:46 AM
Well it is true that Defi is making waves and the one that got my attention is Compound which was massive, also heard news they are listing on another exchange, don't know how true it is. The thing I can grab from the recent growth associated with Defi projects is that, the idea and hype within Defi is still fresh and as such it won't take time for scammers to start coming up with their own so as to steal from investors. Therefore my humble opinion is, no matter the type of projects hiding under the umbrella of Defi, let's endeavour to research on them appropriately where there are good ones, bad ones will still one day surface.

567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinGecko Most Searched Assets on: June 20, 2020, 06:53:09 PM
Most major coins aren't even on the search list but however newer coins are found there; could it be that most people find it better using coinmarketcap for searching most major coins like BNB and the rest? Nevertheless, it is an impressive list thus showing that for people to search for these coins this much means there are potentials within them, which of course is the main thing we need in the crypto space now most especially when it is about new altcoins. Seems I will also start using coingecko to know what I'm actually missing and what is attracting such good attention from users.

570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Tether.to/USDT? on: June 19, 2020, 11:01:11 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering about people's opinions on how safe is Tether.to/USDT? In terms of putting largish amount of money in there ($10k+), what is the risk of the service going out of business, or not honoring withdrawals? I.e. what is the risk of another Mt Gox, Mintpal or Cryptsy incident on here?

I can see that it still says "Beta" on the main page, and that it's a Hong Kong outfit. Not sure what kind of financial regulation/overwatch they have over there when it comes to these things.

I guess other little warning bells are that they don't have an easily accessible support link on their user interface (you can however email support@tether.to), or at least I couldn't easily find it.

Is there a safer way (which is still easy and cheap) to park some USD while BTC is going through it's fluctuations?

Thanks

The first thing you should know about cryptocurrency Investing is that, it comes with its own risks and one of the best ways to reduce this risks is by keeping large funds outside exchanges and into your personal wallet. Secondly, I don't know the type of exchange you are referring to but major exchanges have been trying their best to maintain their integrity, so if you buy there is every tendency you will withdraw. Lastly, talking about Tether mainly, it has been around for years and the only reason it keeps growing is because people have come to trust it, so I think there is nothing like going out of business because many people are now involved. In addition, the only safer way is to buy from exchanges that are trustworthy.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: June 19, 2020, 08:49:02 AM
With blockchain data can be stored in a decentralized public book.

With cryptocurrency, we can make anonymous transactions without centralized intervention.

If you add speed and spread to the public, then the future is cryptocurrency.

How do you think?

I think I would say, the future of cryptocurrency is not fully achieved because from all the happenings (scams etc) so far shows that the cryptocurrency space needs more advancement, improvements, hardwork from the teams, and so on; in addition, of course speed and spread have a lot to do with the future of the cryptocurrency space. The process of performing a transaction and waiting for a long time for it to be confirmed is a discouraging factor thus once taken care of, we can to a very great extent agree or say cryptocurrencies has a good and confirmed future.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fundraising ICO wannabe on: June 18, 2020, 06:25:12 PM
Another new methods of fundraising, I wonder what their concept will be such that they will try to get people to participate. From my own opinion, since the coming to the end of ICO era and then start of IEO, IEO has presented a better and less risky alternative such that once fundraising takes place on a reputable exchange, there is higher chances of success. For all these new aforementioned fundraising methods, we should be careful because they will hardly present anything new and if they are unique as claimed, then the crypto market and the community will decide.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should we need to do for a successful ico on: June 18, 2020, 05:51:56 PM
Hi everyone , We hope to Launch a ICO in next month ,  So we need to complete our ICO successfully , So we need your IDEAS to launch a successfull ICO campaign...

What should we do except bounty and Airdrop?

I can't say what to do to have a successful ICO because it will end up not being useful at all owing to the fact ICOs are no longer remembered and I don't think there is still anyone willing to invest with ICO again. However if your team would consider an IEO, it will make their job kinda easier, thus what to do to have a successful IEO is first having a good use case which is worth promoting and hence worth investing. By having a good use case, it will lead to having the right audience thus making the IEO a successful one. Another is having a strong community, who believes in the idea of the project, such that if any promotion would be made, they can help spread the word. In addition, the IEO should be on a reputable exchange.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 alts under $0.10 that can go 100x on: June 17, 2020, 07:47:37 PM
One of the easiest things in the crypto space to do is to speculate, people can predict whatever they think would be the price of a certain coin and so on, and yet the market will still behave otherwise, this has happened over and over again. What I am driving at is, it is quite hard to predict a particular coin which can reach a certain price within a particular timeframe; most of the coins we hope on to do such ends up doing otherwise while those we might not thought of ends up surprising everyone. Therefore in my own opinion, it is better going for coins whose team are actively working, improving their products and services and thus can offer something good at the appropriate time.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE NEXT ETH?? on: June 17, 2020, 07:35:00 PM
I don't bother listening to those who compare one altcoin or the other to Eth, or rather comparing their bags of altcoins to ETH or a specific major coin. ETH has built its reputation over the years so instead of any altcoin trying to beat it, it would be better for their team to make theirs unique through that way, attracting more users. A coin that is unique always stands out thus attracting the right set of people and a coin that is a copy of others will always be struggling to attain a good height or attract attention from people. Lastly most of the coins which have been likened to be the next ETH are still yet to show they are worth it.

577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: June 16, 2020, 01:07:01 PM

Hello Crypto friends!

Recently i have known about tether and also facebook libra.

Is those worth investments or waste investments.......?

Because if facebook libra is stable coin then it is wrong investment choice because many crypto investors look for profit coins i mean unlike stable coins they will like coins which get profits.

In my opinion stable coins are bad to invest.

But facebook will change their decision regarding the libra stable coin or the libra coin will also like another tether.

Thanks!

Stablecoins are not bad to invest in, moreover it's not like you are investing in it because there is no profit to be gotten out of it rather it is more like using stablecoins to protect your funds during bear market which you can still convert back to your favourite coin when the market changes for good.
However, about Tether and Libra, both are two different projects or platforms because one (Tether) is already developed for years and currently can be seen as the best  stablecoin with huge volume etc while Libra is yet to be launched thus no one knows actually what to expect from it. So therefore, in a bid to answer the question, Tether is worth the attention given to it.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What are TOP small-medium exchanges to list a token for a new, great project? on: June 16, 2020, 12:42:54 PM
I am talking about the best starter exchanges for a new project with a limited amount of funding available.

I am looking for a list of Top 5 best exchanges for real projects, starting from the smallest (cheapest), but with decent user base and volume.

Can you name any?

Actually I always believe that starting or listing on medium exchanges for a new project is also good as it will save the project funds while also helping them to start on a good and palatable ground. However, about medium exchanges which have good user base are Gate, Kucoin, Probit, Biki and Bithumb. I stated them in the order which I think it's the best in my own opinion. Also, no matter the exchange, it is also important that the idea of the project in question is a good and attractive one.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future privacy in decentralized VPN on: June 15, 2020, 12:39:48 PM
One thing is that, blockchain has made many things possible thus many developers are seeing it fit to try many things and now we have the decentralized VPN. I don't know much about these projects but if truly they are decentralized then I can say vividly it is a welcome development. The only thing which might look as if people won't be interested is the question of how decentralized these platforms and their working products are, and if the team will actually continue making sure they keep enhancing, thus if they will, there is every tendency they will offer a good and better alternative than already existing.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Exchange Owner Admits Laundering $1.8M in Online Auctions Fraud on: June 15, 2020, 11:33:44 AM
First this type of news isn't good for the crypto space in general but come to think of it, is there any industry, systems and platforms where there aren't scammers? Am not trying to justify the act but just giving an instance. Also, I have not heard of such exchange before thus showing that, it is always better to associate with good exchanges who have reputations to uphold. Lastly, although cryptocurrencies has been used in different ways to carry out fraud yet, the crypto space will continue going higher because it has opened up a world of endless positive possibilities for all and sundry.
