Stop listening to every one else: go buy yourself

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-PowerEdge-R710-Virtualization-Server-8-Core-48GB-4x300GB-15K-1-2TB-PERC6i-/171307537270?hash=item27e2b99376:g:HfcAAOSwz71ZSpOj

it has 48GB RAM yes 48GB you can install windows 10 on it PRO buy a legit key for $15

you can run all the wallets/staking etc your heart desires...

good luck .

This is actually very similar to what I was suggesting, a bit beefier. I would agree though that something like this would have all the horsepower you will probably need for those tasks.

Yep I got 2 of those, running all the STaking/wallets etc off them. real secure once you install Vmware virtualization (free) on top of windows 10 pro $15

563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency on: July 11, 2017, 09:46:09 PM
Hi there, I've got a noob dumb question, I got round 3.23 KSol/s, I joined a pool today started mining this coin. After like 12h I only got a balance about 0,62 zen when whattomine calculated about 4.570694 zen in 24/h with that hashrate so what's wrong?

whattomine is broken, calculation are just estimates.

Edit: which pool by the way? some pool wait for blocks to mature so it could be a while before you see correct balance.

565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Radeon RX 580 but Claymore only sees 1.....HELP!!! on: July 05, 2017, 09:06:34 PM
Hello All,

I'm running on a Windows set up, the drivers were out of the box, I have 2 Radeon RX 580 on an ASUS Z270-p motherboard.

I've reinstalled the drivers a few times but when I run Claymore 9.7 he only sees 1 GPU  HuhHuh

Both cards are physically installed properly they are both "breathing" with the red lights.

How can I fix this so my system can see both cards and thus Claymore 9.7 sees them as well?

HELP!!!

move it to mining... wrong section.

567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: July 04, 2017, 06:22:23 AM
shouldnt the prices go down as the same machine comes out with increased difficulty?

Yes logically yes, however price of LTC is staying ahead of difficulty and also people are using there L3+ to mine altcoins as oppose to LTC only because altcoins are around 20-25% more profitable so the ROI is faster.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Metropolois likely to reduce ETH mining reward to 3 or less on: July 04, 2017, 06:19:27 AM
all that means by reducing reward is price of Ethereum is about to spike. mark my word Ethereum is going to be at $500 because as soon as its announced in terms of reduction in rewards BOOM scarcity people will start hoarding Ether.

"Due to regulatory concerns beyond our control we cannot accept deposits from the State of New York."

Just a little FYI: Seems Bitmain/Hashnest is now blocking ALL USA from making any kind of deposits to your btc/ltc wallets in accordance with the New York Bit license.. Ya they just band all  North America..

Smooth

Can any one else please confirm that?

574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Asic Coming - 100Gh/s what do you think? on: June 25, 2017, 09:01:07 AM
I think the sentiment is consensus the Sia Asics pre-order is garbage.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: June 25, 2017, 06:41:23 AM
Guys what you think about the price for L3+ on hashnest for next restock ?

I would not expect a low price.
Bitmain sells L3+ for 46.9 LTC in China. For us price is 41 LTC.
The next L3+ in Hashnest can cost even up to around $5600.

That price is crazy.  No way would they sell enough at that price.

yes because $5600 is way too high and ROI i think far from this point

Nope $5600 is easy for them to sell... the other way they can sell it is currently 1 MH/s on Hashnest Market is going for 0.3080 LTC so

so 1 L3+ will be 504 x .3080 = 155 LTC x $43 per LTC = $6675

so if Hashnest is smarter than slowly sell L3+ on the Market Average Daily Volume is 24000 Mh/s or about 50 L3+ day they can keep mining for themselves until they can sell all there hash power on open market.

578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zcash v ZenCash on: June 20, 2017, 08:27:01 AM
But I think that was what happened, I think some people who had interest and involvement in ZCL thought, rightly in my view, that without a funding model this is going nowhere. I'd say the Zen people probably wanted what they saw as a 'fairer' funding model than Zcash. The result is less goes to the developers, and they introduced the concept of funded secure nodes. These nodes aren't just for fun, because they're going to have encryption, including certificated encryption, right through - so all comms will be encrypted.

Zcash team is well regarded, which is why I said so in my post. Though with the high inflation over the next three and a half years or so for both coins until block reward halving, I'd be slightly scared to invest in a $400 ZCash with $620 mill market cap. Sure, it was buyable for $30 a few months ago before the altcoin boom, and I'm not predicting it's downfall. It just makes me nervous, $400 is a lot of downside risk.

Because the whole reason ZenCash launched was Zclassic doesn't have a funding model to fund development, 100% goes to miners - in my view, no chance of competing these days without a development funding model funded with a share of the block reward. But this is my opinion only.

Why not ZClassic? It's like Zen without the unnecessary extras.

Lol so, "let's fork ZCash because we don't like the 20% founders reward... oh wait we need some money to continue development cause who would work for free?"

For fuck sake.

I feel the same way with Bitcoin/Ethereum and every other cryptos out there... downside is too big. Having said that if Zcash were to drop all the Nvidia Miners would be pissed...
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: June 19, 2017, 11:07:09 PM
Guys spoke with a source: Regarding Hashnest they are about to post 2000 Units at $4k or $4500.

dafuq?!?!?!

Yesterday I ordered an L3+ w/ PSU and shipping included for $1550 from giga-watt ( https://giga-watt.com/promo/prices ). Yes, giga-watt will be hosting it. Yes I have purchased WTT tokens which guarantee space and power. It will not arrive until 20-September or so but that's OK with me as I can not run it at home (electricity is too expensive here). Keep an eye on giga-watt's web page to see when they have L3+ in stock and buy from them. While you are waiting for the L3+ miner(s) to arrive buy enough WTT tokens to cover the L3+ miner order (see my sig for a referral link to buy WTT). Just remember that each L3+ requires 880 tokens.

There is no way that I'd pay USD4000-USD4500 for an L3+. If I was going to spend that kind of money for a miner, I'd be more inclined to build an open-frame GPU rig with six GTX 1080Ti GPUs and mine other altcoins. You'd probably have an better chance at achieving ROI. And at the end of the day, if you tire of GPU mining, selling off the 1080Ti GPUs will be easy.

i bought 1 at 1.8K, 1 at 3K, 1 at 3.6K, and for 5K already at hashnest,..so my average is pretty good, but still would like it to be priced at 5.5K-6K usd dollars. currently its 6K, so the drop wouldnt be to BIG.

They were rolling them out next week however they are having some issues with datacenter/power grid so not sure when Hashnest will be selling additional 2k units. Will keep you appraised if i hear anything different.

It's not sold out, as it's not yet launched - as per L3+ "Notes" - bullet #6:
"Bitmain recommends the new PSU that is especially designed for the Antminer L3+ and will be available to purchase after 20 June 2017 with shipping start date before that of this Antminer L3+ batch."

Thanks for the clarifications. I have edited my answer too regarding the aternatives : an EVGA supernova 10 50 GS seems to be a good option.

http://deepinthemines.com/index.php?rt=product/product&product_id=211  site down atm but they have l3+ server based psu for $90

Used to be $74.99 and they jacked up the price i hate price gauging...
