I switched from sgminer-gm 5.5.5 to xmr-stak 2.2.0 and tweaked amd.txt as suggested by @Vlizzjeffrey and I'm getting 1370 H/s out of (3) 2GB XFX RX 560 cards. That's exactly the same as with sgminer, but it seems a lot more stable. The specific problem I was having with sgminer is it would lock the rig up so bad it needed to be hard reset, usually, but not always, when I used the KVM switch to select it after it had been running awhile. Note that I am using the integrated GPU in the Celeron CPU for video, and not one of the mining cards, so this behavior was quite perplexing.
Do not use iGPU with AMD! Bad idead, it blocks OC settings, might be fixed with newer drivers, but it was big problem for most cards for mining. Only with Nvidia cards. Properly configured SGminer has a lot higher hashrate than XMR-STAK 2.2 even older XMR-STAK-AMD has higher hashrate than 2.2. I've compiled latest sources from XMR-STAK it's in my guide for download, it has slightly higher hashrate but still older AMD version is better, also it has lowered dev fee to 1%. |

I wasn't sure if the i 432 work with 2GB cards, so it does work? I've edited my guide to only 416.
BTW you better to mine AEON with CPU much better for CPU mining.
The primary CN coin I mine is DERO, with ITNS in 2nd place, and EDL in a very distant 3rd (it gets the AMD FX-8300 CPU  ). Since I've built up a decent stash of EDL and ITNS I might drop either/both of those for AEON, though. Looks interesting. EDIT - good point about the XMR hard fork! I think some dev will do it, just like somebody did it for XMR-STAK. |

I also use xmrstak, tweaked to use 2 gpu threads it performs just as good as sgminer.
You going to share that portion of the amd.txt file? The "help" section - such as there is - doesn't explain how to set gpu threads. check Memory Error on Hwdinfo. If you have error reduce MEM. The goal is to have ~1% of error or zero  Do you know proven facts that the errors can make any harm to cards? No, but eventually the PC will crash. |

My MSI Aero 2gb hynix seems to like a slightly higher power limit. I get 5% higher hash with +10% power limit.
I think that also could differ between hynix cards, since the power limit has more to do with gpu core then the memory. I tried higher power limit, still getting same hash. I also found out i get same hash with intensity 400 as with intensity 432, but on intensity 400 it just never crashes, its been going for over 20 hours now, previous record was 2 hours. Thank you. I was able to flash the gpus and now getting 27.5 mh/s which is better. But now the miner shutdown and reboot the whole computer after 10-15 min runtime. So I flashed it back to the original bios which gives 24.5 mh/s. Probably memory errors... Check HWinfo and lower memory clocks. I haven't look at the bios, but it's probably 24AJ type using the NerdRalph timing, it won't achieve much higher hashrate. |

Using rx 560 chip should be enough to cover 10mh or so. Multiply by 18 i was thinking about 180mh with range 1500-3000 usd and power 18 x 75 watt = 1350 watt. Match up with its PSU Apw3++
IF they bought from amd for $25 per 560 chip, its only $450 for chips.
They can also goes to 580 chip to, 18 x 30 it means 540 mhs. All with 18 x 191 watt = 3438 watt (vga card). With good waver it might push to under 3000 watt so it can match with they old psu Awp5 up to 3200 watt.
580 chip only should around $50-75 so it up to $1350 and $3000 is a good price for this.
The expensive part is memory |

Anyway, I'm not seeing 4x HR increase from monero, but around 3x, from ~200 to ~600. Using XMR-Stak 2.1.
I don't know about this new version I haven't done with that anything, but port of XMR-STAK-CPU doing 4x. |

It is a great miner for CPU, perhaps the greatest one and it is a multi-algo one. Hey, i downloaded the sgminer already from your guide, and tried the config, but still everytime i try to run the .exe it starts with telling me i didnt specify pool, and user, etc, so i have to re-enter it everytime when i start it, i do something wrong with the config, this is my cryptonight.conf ( is that even the right format for it to be in the folder? );

Run the bat, there is specified the config file name... Yes it works when i launch the bat, but i don't know the command for 2 threads in the command line for the batfile, wich why im sitll on xrmstak because there io know how to make 2 threads work. The bat file look only like this @echo off
